1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Started accepting Bitcoin as a 4th means of payment in my noddles DEPOT on: August 23, 2022, 05:08:02 PM
Always good to see businesses incorporating bitcoin into their payment systems. Good move by yourself, OP. I wish you good luck. Nigeria is a real leader in adoption at the moment, I see lots of stories like this.
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana be the next Ethereum??? on: August 23, 2022, 02:02:59 PM
I used to think it could but the network has had so much interruption & too many problems. I just don’t think it’s possible now. Investor confidence must be at a huge low regarding SOL. I do own some @ I want to think it could be an ETH killer but no, not for me.
1683  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU ANY OF YOU WORKOUT?🏋💪 on: August 23, 2022, 12:50:32 PM
Just been for a 4 mile walk, I’m getting older so I can’t do anything too strenuous these days. My legs & feet are aching so I guess that’s me done for the day. Helps for fitness a bit I guess.
1684  Other / Off-topic / Re: The digital Ruble might come out as soon as next year on: August 20, 2022, 03:09:33 AM
Do you guys think that will cause the Ruble to skyrocket once it is "online" - Will it be beneficial or not in your opinion?

No I don’t, what I do think though about these CBDC’s is that it’s just another way for governments to control their people. They want to eliminate cash & track EVERYTHING you do. We are one step away from China stule control & social credit scoring.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Meme coins going to make it to the next bull market? on: August 19, 2022, 05:33:44 PM
There’s always a bunch of retail noobs who get sucked in by the promise of huge riches so yes, I do think meme coins will make it to the next bull run. Some people make big money from these types of investments but most of these noobs get dumped on near the FOMO top.

DYOR though.
1686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you own 1 Bitcoin? (2022 edition) on: August 19, 2022, 05:19:01 PM
I do own more than one bitcoin, a large % of early adopters here own more than one bitcoin. It doesn’t take a big imagination to realise some people have a hell of a lot of bitcoin here. It’s just not a good idea to go around broadcasting it.

For the newbies, one bitcoin is still very achievable. Work hard & DCA, you can do it.
1687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban in China and some noble countries. on: August 18, 2022, 10:03:31 AM
A good tip is to take a look at what China has banned & invest in it. What China bans tends to do very well. Let’s take a look at what they’ve banned.

Google, Youtube, Facebook, Wiki, Reddit, Netflix, Zoom, Instagram, Whatsapp, Twitter, Linkedin…..the list goes on, see here - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_websites_blocked_in_mainland_China

1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu pumping , why? Hold or Sell? on: August 18, 2022, 08:40:08 AM
I think it’s a total shitcoin, don’t get me wrong but you should probably HODL until the next bitcoin bull run. Most alts have a good run then & I still see lots of people as dumb enough to go crazy buying SHIB again. So in conclusion, it’ll probably at least 10 x before 2026.
1689  Other / Off-topic / Re: Understanding Christian Church, and growing on Solid Foundation on: August 18, 2022, 08:35:25 AM
I’m Catholic, I was born in to it, I haven’t been to Church for 23 years though (apart from weddings, funerals & baptisms). I just found myself drifting away from the faith. Too many bad things happen which made me question God & possibly even his existence.
1690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The government of my country always blame Bitcoin for their failure. on: August 16, 2022, 01:21:24 PM
Governments & Central Banks are never going to willingly allow bitcoin to thrive & become a worldwide medium of exchange. They’ll fight until they’re blue in the face but sadly for them, their resistance is futile & bitcoin is going to the moon. Nobody or nothing can stop honeybadger.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a crypto that won't depend on BTC anymore on: August 16, 2022, 11:21:37 AM
Cryptocurrencies are still such young, immature assets. Bitcoin is the King, probably always will be. Exchanges always have BTC-ALT pairings so it’s going to be a long time until that changes imo.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Africa needs a single digital currency to prosper. on: August 16, 2022, 10:03:51 AM
Lots of young Africa’s have started to adopt bitcoin over recent years. It’s mostly purely due to many of them unfortunately being unbanked. I don’t think many of them use it as an investment vehicle to try & get rich, it’s used as currency there which is cool.
1693  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you had to move from your nation to another nation, which would you choose? on: August 16, 2022, 10:00:45 AM
I’d move to a nation that has 0% taxes on bitcoin, specifically 0% capital gains taxes on bitcoin. I have researched it thoroughly for future reference.

There are many, some listed below.

1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Upcoming release of funds to its creditors vs Btc Price on: August 13, 2022, 07:59:26 PM
I think some people will sell a % of what they get back but I doubt there will be many people selling all of the coins they get returned. These guys have watched bitcoin go from 3 figures to what it is now so I would imagine there will be a lot of smart people willing to HODL for a lot longer because they’ve seen the performance bitcoin has put in over all those years.

Whales could try & use the news to dump the price but I don’t think it’ll be as bad as some predict.

1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH could take over. on: August 13, 2022, 07:54:07 PM
ETH will never ever be worth more than bitcoin ($ value). That’s my simple prediction for you, I could get boring & talk about POW being a million times better than POS but I won’t.
1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin so volatile?  on: August 13, 2022, 07:34:18 PM
It’s such a young asset so extreme volatility is to be expected. To be honest, volatility is your friend, bitcoin is the hardest money around. When bitcoin is in a large downtrend there aren’t many other investment opportunities so attractive. Volatility in your friend, use it to your advantage.
1698  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favorite subject in school? on: August 13, 2022, 07:31:58 PM
I didn’t enjoy school too much, I got bored easily & couldn’t concentrate. I got average grades but luckily for me I found bitcoin in 2015 & I made more money than anybody in my school year. I suppose if I had to pick a favourite subject I would say sports or English because I could cruise through that & pass without doing too much studying.
1699  Other / Off-topic / Re: A few reflections on online dating on: August 10, 2022, 07:23:06 PM
The mainstream dating sites are probably OK, I’ve never used them but I know people who do/have. I think it’s the way a lot of people meet guys/girls now. It’s a lot easier & less nervy to approach somebody online. Just be aware though, there are a lot of weird people online.

Be safe!
1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Papa John's store that made the Bitcoin pizzas in 2010 now has a plaque on: August 10, 2022, 07:05:57 PM
Cool, the staff look so happy in the photo Cheesy
It’s such a huge part of the early history of bitcoin. Maybe even people go there as a tourist attraction, that wouldn’t surprise me.

Any way, thanks for sharing. Always good to see something positive on the forum these days.
