1701  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you name your child after a crypto?? on: October 17, 2022, 02:39:27 PM
Bitcoin has done a lot for me in my life & I thank Satoshi, the devs & the community so much. If I had a kid though I think it’s a step too far to name them bitcoin haha. So no, I couldn’t hypothetically name my kid after a crypto coin.
1702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2017 joined but still member on: October 15, 2022, 11:46:23 AM
Hard work, good constructive posts, being helpful to others on the forum, being polite & friendly. It’s tough for somebody to rank up since the merit system was implemented. It’s very possible though, others have joined since then & become some of the most respected members on the forum.

Get involved in conversations, it will come when you stop being desperate & chasing it.

1704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The irony of leaving your private keys in a bank on: October 15, 2022, 11:21:00 AM
I certainly wouldn’t be willing to hold my keys in a bank, especially with the way the fiat banking system & worldwide economy is right now. I wouldn’t sleep at night, worrying if banks will go bust & take my keys with them.

1705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is crypto hot wallet that bad on: October 15, 2022, 08:33:04 AM
Just because your friend never got hacked, doesn’t mean it’s safe to use hot wallets. I can guarantee you that people who use hot wallets have a much higher chance of losing everything than somebody who is more careful with their money.

Just buy a Trezor, if you have money worth protecting then invest in a Trezor. It’s so much safer & you’ll be able to sleep at night.
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next meme coin to buy in 2022 on: October 15, 2022, 08:31:39 AM
None of them. Buying meme token will be giving scammer free money. I think that anyone must not do that caused by they can lose their money once they are buying the meme token. Meme token was something that must not be bought by anyone. The fact that if only dumb person who are still buying meme token until now. People must stop to give their money to the scammers.

I mostly agree with you but unfortunately every cycle there seems to be a few of these type of shitcoins that do really well. I mean it’s literally just one or two so the chances of you buying the right one is low. There are always a few that do well though.

I prefer not to play the shitcoin roulette though.
1707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 15, 2022, 08:28:42 AM
I don’t think the bottom is in for this bear market yet. We will see a new low but even so now is a good time to buy because we will see the price hit over 100k after the next halving. Anything you buy under 30k is a great buy. Cheap prices will not last for long though so you will have to act.
1708  Other / Off-topic / Re: What makes someone an illegal immigrant? on: October 13, 2022, 08:54:55 AM
It’s as simple as it seems, an illegal immigrant is somebody who attempts to reside in a country for a significant amount of time without the necessary papers. I know some people are desperately fleeing dangerous countries but it is illegal without government permissions.
1709  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which game is better, FIFA or PES? on: October 12, 2022, 09:38:04 PM
I used to prefer PES many years ago, I know they don’t have the real player names (how dumb btw) but I thought the gameplay was better.

FIFA is miles ahead now though, the graphics, gameplay, commentary, everything is better. I think FIFA make a lot more money from sponsorship, commercial deals etc so it just pulled away on its own as the best football console game.
1710  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people cheat in relationships?? on: October 12, 2022, 09:32:46 PM
Repetition, boredom, lack of sex. Wife isn’t confident with her body so won’t put out. There are so many reasons why couples might go through dry spells. There is help out there, relationship clinics etc, you can sort these things out yourself though. I’m sure you don’t need me to explain how.

Take your wife out to dinner, buy her something nice, give her compliments.
1711  Other / Off-topic / Re: Google will accept cryptocurrency payments on: October 12, 2022, 06:53:24 PM
They had to sooner or later, every institution will have to bend the knee for bitcoin in the medium to long term. I wouldn’t get too excited about this though because it isn’t for all services. It’s only for a select group of people.
Obviously this is good news, it won’t do too much for the price though just yet.
1712  Other / Off-topic / Re: R.I.P Asian Football World : Indonesia on: October 10, 2022, 08:33:07 PM
Such tragic news, I really can’t believe this kind of thing is still happening in sport today. So many lives needlessly lost. Nobody should ever go to a football match & not return home. My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives, so sad. I hope there is a serious inquest into this & people are held responsible for this tragedy. RIP all who lost their lives.

Original source unknown but I like this one.

1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about CBDCs? on: October 10, 2022, 07:59:15 PM
They’re a terrible idea & something I hope does not become reality. The control, the intrusion of privacy, the whole concept sucks, I want to have no part of it. I will go off grid if they get implemented in my country.
1715  Other / Off-topic / Re: Top books you have to read on: October 10, 2022, 06:48:07 PM
I like financial literacy books. I read The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous, Ph.D right now. Also want to read Broke Millennial by Erin Lowry and Rule #1 by Phil Town in th future. I found an article with financial book reviews on Headway Media, useful service with different articles about self-growth and lifelong learning.

Love that book, have you read his second one, it’s equally as good: The Fiat Standard.

Also another good book to read is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, it’s very well known & is a best seller. It really motivates you, give it a try.
1716  Other / Off-topic / Re: have you faced any difficulties in relationship? on: October 10, 2022, 11:08:25 AM
No relationship runs smoothly all the time. All couples argue & have disagreements, it’s life. There are no fairytales, they only exist in movies & books. As long as you are faithful & honest to each other then that’s a solid base for a good relationship.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Dogechain? on: October 07, 2022, 07:07:19 PM
Just seems like another speculative, useless shitcoin. Probably trying to take advantage of gullible newbies due to the relative success of other meme coins in recent years. I’d steer well clear of it personally, there are too many shitcoins like this with zero utility & most likely no chance of success. Do your own research but be very careful about allocating capital to schemes like this.
1718  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tattoo of 13 on: October 07, 2022, 04:45:51 PM
I actually hate the number 13. Frankly, I always avoid the number 3 in all ways so that’s the number 3, 13, 23, 33 & so on. It’s just some weird, OCD thing. I dunno why but I always feel 3 is bad luck. It’s kind of the same with leaving the volume on an odd number is a big no for me. I certainly would not be getting any number with a 3 in it tattooed on my body.

1720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Passing Through and saw this on: October 06, 2022, 02:09:13 PM
I was traveling passing through this and that was incredible to see that how people still believe in cryptocurrency and also Bitcoin.

More people are opening their eyes to the scam that is fiat banking & central banks/govs. We are headed for a global recession, possibly depression. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better for most people. Bitcoin is the lifebelt people will need to escape tyrannical government control. You will see a lot more shops/stores/services accepting bitcoin over the next decade.
