1701  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old Movie Recommendations on: September 17, 2022, 08:58:29 PM
You can’t beat the original Halloween movies imo, Jamie Lee Curtis is great in all of them & still going strong today.  The first movie was 1978 so I think that is classed as an old film.

Also I love Nightmare On Elm Street franchise, Robert Englund is a star as Kruger. The original was in 1984, I remember watching them as a kid, shitting myself
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy a token if its price never went up and you could never sell it? on: September 17, 2022, 08:13:03 AM
No I wouldn’t buy it because I don’t see what use it would be. Inflation would render it useless. If the price never went up it’d be even worse than fiat low interest savings accounts. It’d not be of any interest to me at all.
1703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: In your opinion is this the end for Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency? on: September 16, 2022, 07:08:16 PM
Bitcoin has existed since 09, loads of scammers & bad actors have been in this space in that time (no more than fiat equivalents). To answer the question, no, it is not the end for bitcoin/crypto. Year by year there is more adoption & mainstream use, bitcoin goes from strength to strength. I think this OP sums up many clueless noobs we have hanging around here.
1704  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why look for aliens from another world when you already have them in you? on: September 16, 2022, 07:06:41 PM
There are without doubt, other forms of life on other planets. I firmly believe that but I’m not sure aliens walk amongst us. I don’t think that’s a guarantee at all.

There are definitely life forms on other planets though. It’s more controversial to assume there isn’t.

1706  Economy / Speculation / Re: BCT's drop and CPI Report 😧 on: September 14, 2022, 03:32:33 PM
Stocks tanked following the news also. I’m not worried, we’re in a bear market & have been all year. It’s nothing to be concerned about. Bitcoin will rise again & reach new highs but we’re in a bear market. If it wasn’t CPI then it’d be something else.

We're just going to have to ride it out. Still opportunities for cheap coins so use this time to buy as much as you can. You will be handsomely rewarded.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna 1.0 and Luna 2.0 on: September 14, 2022, 03:17:49 PM
I’d keep far away from anything even remotely linked to LUNA & this group of people. Saddens me what happened with LUNA. So many people were screwed over, for that principal I will have nothing to do with LUNA 2.0
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dumps on high inflation report.. on: September 14, 2022, 08:15:21 AM
Important report comes out that inflation is pretty bad (USD)..

Bitcoin dumps off a cliff..

This is the exact opposite of what Bitcoin is supposed to do..

Has Bitcoin strayed too far from its purpose?

I think we’re still so early that this shouldn’t be a surprise. We will decouple, it’s just a matter of when. Admittedly though it’s very frustrating. When bitcoin matures as an asset this kind of sell off reaction will stop. Bitcoin is still a massive inflation hedge. Add up annual inflation since 2009 & then look at how much bitcoin has increased % wise.
1709  Other / Off-topic / Re: Rapper PnB Rock shot and killed on: September 13, 2022, 11:33:54 AM
Never heard of him myself to be honest but like you said OP, it’s not a surprise any more. It seems to come with the territory in that industry.

Needless death, poor guy. I feel for the genuine people who love him that are left behind. May he RIP.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum (ETH) on Its Way to $2,100, Top Trader Says ! on: September 12, 2022, 01:09:52 PM
I am very interested to see what happens with ETH short term. The merge is this week, I honestly can’t predict what’s going to happen, which way it’s going to go.

Many people are suggesting we will see a relief rally if everything with the merge goes to plan. This could push the price to the OP suggested $2,100.

Will be interesting.
1711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am initiating a bill to review the ban on Bitcoin in my country's parliament. on: September 12, 2022, 12:57:56 PM
I don’t have much to add, other than to compliment you, OP. I am full of respect for your battling qualities. Such a thorough package you’ve put together, in attempt to review the imposed ban. You will go far in life with this kind of attitude.

You are fighting, not just for yourself & innovation but also your people. What a guy Smiley
1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Censorship in Bitcoin online forums on: September 11, 2022, 08:43:05 PM
Any centralized website has a chance of deciding to censor you. It’s everywhere now, all over social media too. It really cranked up during covid, all that fact checker nonsense. This is the world we live in now, it’s far from just bitcoin, it’s everything. So many cry babies get offended about little things, strong minded people are now the minority.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rug pull scams on: September 11, 2022, 07:15:18 PM
Rug pull scams "pumping up" a new project, nonfungible token (NFT) or coin to get funding. After the scammers get the money, they disappear with it. The coding for these investments prevents people from selling the bitcoin after purchase, so investors are left with a valueless investment.

It’s been happening for years. This is why you need to do extensive research before you FOMO into random alts. To be honest, it’s better to just stick with bitcoin or mainstream alts. Lots of the lesser known coins are a minefield of scams.
1714  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's a Crypto Signal? on: September 11, 2022, 07:07:40 PM
My simple suggestion is to do your own research. These supposed chart analysts & influencers don’t really know s**t. How many of them predicted the top of the last bitcoin bull run price to be so low? Answer is none of them. Seriously these crypto signals are just noise. Buy & HODL, that’s the way.
1715  Other / Off-topic / Re: comedy movie on: September 09, 2022, 07:46:28 PM
You can’t beat Step Brothers, starring Will Ferrell & John C Reilly.
I’m not huge on comedy movies but this is a genuinely laugh out loud movie.

Anything with Will Ferrell in is genuinely hilarious, for example Get Hard with Ferrell & Kevin Hart is great.
1716  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you use for generating strong passwords? on: September 09, 2022, 03:16:52 PM
I wouldn’t advise using a third party, it’s asking for trouble. My advice would be choose a complex mix of words & numbers, special characters that mean something to you. A mixture of upper & lower case. Write it down in a couple of places that nobody will find it.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Scam Tokens in the name of late Queen Elizabeth on: September 09, 2022, 01:57:35 PM
There’s always a scammer of some sort, trying to profit off tragedy. Some of these people have a special place in hell waiting for them. I hate reading about people who fall victim to scams like this.

RIP Her Majesty.
1718  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gratitude for cryptocurrency on: September 09, 2022, 01:48:38 PM
Bitcoin has been a shining light in my life, a real saviour. I have so many opportunities that would not have been possible in my life if I didn’t discover bitcoin so early. I thank Satoshi for everything he did, his genius & innovation. I also thank the guy who told me about bitcoin.

I try my best to educate others so they can also gain a better life.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey to gift Marcy House in New York 17.62 BTC on: September 09, 2022, 12:31:57 PM
Such a great cause which will really help the needy. A really great cause & kudos to Dorsey & Jay-Z for having the conviction & heart to do something like this.

There are seemingly still some good people left on this earth.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana(SOL) price could reach an average of $60 in 2023 ???? on: September 08, 2022, 07:57:07 PM
SOL has had network issues & adoption seems to have stalled. I don’t think it’ll reach $60 or more in 2023.

It could ride the next bull wave after the bitcoin 2024 halving & hit over $100. It will not touch $60 in 2023 though.
