I'm interested in the match between Napoli and Barcelona. I think it's hard to say which team will pass this round. Napoli are far from last season's performance but they are still a very good team. Other than that, I think the other matches have favorite teams. Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund are the favorites. The excitement in the Champions League will be more in the next round. Of course it is a bit early to talk about it but I don't expect too many surprises in this round. Napoli won the Italian Serie A last season hasn't been as impressive as they were last season but their performance in their recent matches since the new manager Walter Mazzarri took over the managerial position at the club suggests that they can still finish the season on a good note. Barcelona who also is the reigning champions of Spain has also failed to maintain their performance of last season that helped them win the the Spanish La Liga title which is believed to be caused by injuries to some important members of the squad since the start of the season. Napoli i think will progress from the tie if they can continue with their current form. There are rumours in different quarters that the their striker Victor Osimhen who was recently crowned the best player in Africa by CAF will leave the club when the winter transfer window opens but I don't think that'll happen as the Nigeria international will rather prefer a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona stadium next summer. Barcelona is currently having some financial issues that's limited them in signing many more players and that I think will cost them when they meet Napoli in February. |

Everyone believed (you can check the poll) that City will win this season as well, and don't get me wrong they still do have a chance to win the league that's true but they are getting worse and worse.
The injured and missing players are making a huge huge difference, Gvardiol was a great transfer, Doku was just a future transfer and didn't really feel like he is a must get, but compared to that, Laporte who was there for a long time left, Ilkay left, Riyad wasn't playing much anyway but left, Cole Palmer left, Mendy left, De Bruyne injured, Doku now injured, they are really having trouble putting up a decent eleven on the field and that's making them lose way too many points where they shouldn't against teams they were expected to win.
Man City opportunity to defend the title this season is still quite open, because we know the difference in the standings is only 5 points behind Arsenal. Liverpool failed to return to the top after being held to a draw by Man United, and allowed the Gunners to take over their position temporarily. Regarding the situation faced by Pep Guardiola squad, I think City will recover quickly. It cannot be denied that the absence of mainstay players in the main squad makes it difficult for Pep to carry out his strategy, some of the back up players are not yet capable enough to fill the positions left temporarily. I watched the Liverpool-M.United game, to be honest, I didn't enjoy it very much. Both teams were careful and it ended in a draw. Liverpool with all their quality attacking players couldn't score a goal in that match even when they were tipped to rip Manchester United apart before the game kicked off. We saw even the strongest version of PSG fail in the Champions League and that's why it's not surprising to see this team fail to get anything this season even with a coach like Ennriqu in this team because they had players like Messi and Neymar in this team and but failed the tournament and now PSG lost many players. But the team was definitely not balanced. And of course, Lionel Messi was more interested in the World Cup compared to the Ligue 1 title in my opinion, and understandably so. But it was definitely a disappointment for PSG to not be able to win the Champions League title. And let's be honest, the performance was also not like a Champions League-winning team to be honest. And my thinking is that if they were unable to win the title with such good players, how are they going to win the title now? In this season champions league, if I am not wrong or making unreal assumptions, no one is expecting PSG to win the champions league. Even when predicting likely winners of the Champions League, no one mentions PSG. There was when the expectation of PSG winning the champions league was high and that was when Mbappe joined Neymar in PSG but it failed. When Messi finally joined both Neymar and Messi to form the strongest trio it didn't also happen. So for now no one is tipping that PSG will win the champions league. If they are not even lucky in the draws, they can just exit in the next round. Suppose you have a lot of money at this time but if you don't earn any more money later and lose money regularly due to your bad habits then how long will that money support you. It is okay to take risk in some cases but it does not make sense to take risk where there is a high probability of losing money. Assuming you are a gambler, you should stop thinking that you have to make money by gambling. Some money can be gambled and that is purely for our own pleasure, whenever we get over greedy and try to build our career through gambling we definitely create the possibility of losing the money we have. I think we need to think more about how to protect our money and find ways to grow money. Some gamblers actually stake more than they should. They most times make their decision to stake high due to their peer group or friends who is in the constant habit of spending more. They do not even put into consideration how much the person they are emulating earns. And Gapko came on only to waste opportunities and there were lots of good opportunities for Liverpool but they couldn't take advantage of them well, and I saw in this match it was the opposite. Manchester has a good defense so it makes it difficult for Liverpool's attackers to score goals, and conversely Liverpool's defense is not good but Manchester United's attackers can't take advantage of it and Manchester United's attackers don't play well. I don't know if I am to say that Liverpool did not play their best which is why they were unable to win the match or I will say that Manchester United was good enough to prevent Liverpool from scoring. Both teams played good football and a point share was well deserved as it was an entertaining goalless draw. Onana had some fantastic saves in today's game and he performed ahead expectation. And in the end Arsenal has returned back to the top of the table with 39 points and 1 point ahead of Liverpool 38 points as Liverpool drew their game.

The only fear I have for the Manchester United sides is their goal keeper, Onana. He has been consistently making mistakes that were never there before he was signed. Even in the ongoing match, he already committed a mistake that can lead to a goal. Apart from this, Manchester United is playing so well. Nevertheless, draw is not a bad result for Manchester United.
Continue to entrust Onana as goalkeeper like there are no other options that Manchester United has. Erik ten Hag still has Bayindir which he bought this season. Earlier, in the first 10 minutes of the first half, Onana almost made another mistake when anticipating a free kick from the left corner of the Manchester United defense. Our game wasn't very good, but being able to make Liverpool's attack line difficult for 30 minutes was good enough to keep trying to attack. Just imagine, for 30 minutes Liverpool was able to take 11 shots with ball possession of 66%. If this match is a draw it will be very profitable for Arsenal. We saw Andre Onana at Inter Milan last season and how good of a goalkeeper he was for the Inter Milan team as well as his days at Dutch club Ajax and we all saw that his performance in those two club's were outstanding. A good goal keeper needs a good defense to be able to perform well and Manchester United's defense line isn't giving Onana the kind of protection he's supposed to get from them hence the poor performances. He's yet to concede a goal in their game against Liverpool that's currently ongoing because the team's defence is performing well. Of course if Casemiro is open to a move to Saudi, one of their clubs would sign him, he might even join his former Real Madrid and Manchester United teammate Ronaldo in Al Nassr. United's £70m investment on Casemiro hasn't really been a success, i questioned the move from the beginning because of the age of the Brazillian, but it is what it is, and i think they have to sell him, cut their losses and buy a younger defensive midfielder. I also think the same because Man United will definitely benefit from releasing Casemiro to the Saudi Arabian League compared to releasing him to another European club. The question is whether Al Nassr and other clubs there are willing to make a big offer to Man United because if not it will be difficult to release old players at high prices to leagues in Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo could be the link when Al Nassr intends to bring him because these two players have been close for a long time. Casemiro's arrival at Old Trafford gave positive results in his first season and thanks to his collaboration with other players they managed to qualify for the Champions League. Indeed it's a rivalry game between to of the most successful clubs in the premier league. But lately the match between Liverpool and Manchester United don't look like rivalry any more as the game has become one sided lately and Liverpool has been the dominating team and I don't see that changing in today's game. Manchester United don't have what it takes to hurt Liverpool today.
I remember Liverpool was the match that made Man United sack Mourinho. This match is going to be easy for Liverpool. The way Manchester United play they don't play like a team that can win Liverpool. I believe Manchester United will score because Liverpool always concede but Liverpool will win. Liverpool needs to win in other to remain at the top, that's if Arsenal wins against Brighton. The Arsenal match is looking like it's going to be another hard day for Arsenal. I hope they win with at least 2 goals. During the days of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, the Manchester United vs Liverpool fixture was regarded as one of the strongest fixtures in club football but that has actually changed over the years as Manchester United has been less competitive in the English Premier League unlike their Liverpool counterparts who's been one of the best clubs in the league over the past ten years. The superior performance of Liverpool in recent years has made the fixture become less competitive and easily predicted and considering the current form of both clubs, I don't think Manchester United is even gonna do anything today to change that. Liverpool will host Manchester United in the next one hour at Anfield stadium and I expect Jurgen Klopp's men to beat Erik Ten Hag's side and extend their lead at the top of the league table. The first half of the game just ended goalless and going by the statistics, Arsenal is dominating in every round of the game and their performance so far shows that they are very likely to win this game buy it just continually looked like there's a strong defensive resistance at the defense line of Brighton thst Arsenal is finding difficult to get pass.
Westham Is leading by two goals already by the end of the first half while Brentford is leading by a goal aswell, I was expecting a different result buy it turns out that the results are not as my expectations, its already few minutes into the second half of the game between Arsenal and Brighton and I'm hope to see better performance and results from the gunners unlike the first half that ended goalless. I wish the gunners win and I'm Also expecting a comeback from Aaron villa in the second half of this game.
Arsenal are currently leading in the game thanks to Gabriel Jesus second half goal which has actually boosted the confidence of the team. The visitors Brighton are not even giving up as they're pressing for at least a point in the game but whatever happens, I expect the home side to protect their lead or probably extend their lead and grab all three points from the game. |

Lewandowski was a known legendary finisher in Bayern Munich when he was playing there and now even after leaving Bayern Munich for Barcelona, still Lewandowski is performing well enough. Currently, in Barcelona Lewandowski has an effective role in this team and I think even if they decide to sell Lewandowski to the Saudi team, Barcelona will have a problem finding an alternative player to take his place in the team.
However, for any player, there is a high chance to finish their career in the Saudi teams the huge money they usually offer to players like Salah and Lewandowski.
That's right, Lewandowski is legendary finisher, but he's age also getting older. And Barcelona must be able to push Lewandowski to accept a proposal from a Saudi club, if already an offer comes to him at next transfer windows. Also on the other side, Barcelona will have an advantage from Lewandowski transfer. Lewandowski after joining Barcelona last year delivered a great performance in his first season with the club as he helped the club to win the Spanish La Liga title but has failed to replicate same feat this season largely because of injuries cases that's kept him sidelined in most part of the already season. There's been a lot of reports from different sports media platforms that the Poland legend is linked with a move to the Saudi League next summer and o think it'll be good move for the veteran who I don't think can deliver the kind of performances he had in the years past. The Saudi League is not as competitive as the leagues in Europe and so I think a move to the middle East wouldn't be a bad idea for Lewandowski. |

I think that Copenhagen won't last any longer in the Champions League by the way. Looking at the group leaders only Real Sociedad can be considered a favourable challenge for them. But even Real Sociedad have been amazing as they finished their group as the leader in Inter's presence in the same group. Copenhagen is small team and almost impossible to compete against big teams which more experience and stronger than them so obviously their journey will be stopped at round of 16 but although most likely they will be eliminated on that round but at least they can repeat their achievement on 2011 because at that time Copenhagen has able to qualified to round of 16 and this season too after dramatically beat Galatasaray on the last match of group stages Copenhagen can able to achieve 2nd place About Sociedad a bit surprised to see their performance this season because after 10 years absense to playing at champion league finally they can playing at this competition again and i was underestimate this team before because i thought Benfica will be qualified with Inter Milan in group D rather than them but surprisingly Sociedad can displayed impressive performance during group stages which makes they can able to finish at first place and even Sociedad was qualified with unbeatable status and i will counted them as dark horses team who have potention to make big teams to slipped After the draw for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League was made, I was of the opinion that Copenhagen were gonna finish the group stage in the last position of the group A and that's because of the fact that the other three teams on the group are better than Copenhagen on papers but the Danish side had another thought about what they can achieve and the team spirit in the club was one of the factors that helped them reach the knockout stages of the competition alongside side group winners Bayern Munich while teams like Manchester United and Galatasaray couldn't stop Copenhagen from progressing out of the group. I thought Erik Ten Hag was a good coach when he came to Manchester United last season. He was sure he was going to end the era of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League. With the performance of Manchester United both in the Premier League and Champions League this season, it is proven that Erik Ten Hag is nowhere near Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
Last season? ten hag was staying on manchester united for years. There was no progress being made by him in MU. i would prefer liverpool to play in UCL rather than manchester united. having MU in UCL was only giving embarrassing result for the EPL. Newcastle was also a flop as it was unable passing the group stage. Mu and newcastle are showing terrible performance. It makes me feel so upset when i was watching their matches in UCL. It likes there was no improvement that is happening in manchester united nor newcastle united. I can only pray for ten hag to be sacked by united and then club can get a better replacement for him. They're both struggling in the Champions League this season, Newcastle was known to be the best defending club in the Premier League last season now they have conceded a good number of goals. They've both seen injured players absent and it has affected how they play. Though, they had their chances of qualification bit still couldn't utilized it. They're no more now in the Champions League can we talk about the current clubs and the upcoming draws on Monday? PSG finishing second to Borrussia Dortmund will definitely see themselves facing a stronger club. With the experience of Luis Enrique, I believe they'll advance to a far extent. Manchester United sucks! I have decided not to see too much of them games. As a Manchester United fan, for the sake of your mental health, avoid watching Manchester United week in week out. They have literally nothing for them fans at the end of this season. Anyone who's seen the tactical and technical abilities of Erik Ten Hag before he joined Manchester United would never think that he's the kind of quality manager that should be compared to Manchester City's Pep Guardiola and Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp. Erik Ten Hag before he joined Manchester United was undoubtedly a good manager but doesn't in any way fall in the category of Pep Guardiola. Manchester United's performance in the UEFA Champions League competition this season was one of their worst in the history of the competition and Erik Ten Hag will definitely take much of the blames for his poor tactical approaches. |

As a 4 times UEFA Champions League winner with Real Madrid, I don't there's any club in the Saudi Pro League that'll not be very happy to receive Casemiro if he decides to join the middle East based league. A lot of clubs in the Saudi are trying everything possible to sign high profile European based players to their league and if a midfield maestro like Casemiro decides to join the league, he'll definitely receive numerous offers from many clubs in the Saudi Arabian League. Since Casemiro joined Manchester United, he's not been as effective for the club like he was in his days at Real Madrid and that's because of the fact that he's aging if you ask me. Chelsea are said to be after Aaron Ramsdale to transfer him in January due to an injury picked up by Robert Sanchez. However no matter he is injured or not I don't think he is a goalkeeper that is at Chelsea standards. He is prone to make mistakes just like Onana has been for Manchester United. Therefore it would be really better for Chelsea if they get Ramsdale. Arsenal are already willing to sell him as far as I know. As long as there is an agreement on fee I don't expect anything else to hinder this transfer. Since Raya started to be in the starting lineup Ramsdale must also be keen on leaving the team for more playing time.  Ohh Feck! It's a very wrong thing to compare Aaron Ramsdale to Andrea Onana. I don't have the energy to stress on it tonight but man you can do better than this. Look for someone else Onana is far better than Ramsdale. His ten times better, he's just had a poor season with Manchester United. I wonder how y'all watch football. Did you watch Onana last season with Inter Milan? Then you won't be saying this. He needs to leave the club for a place he'll have enough game time ahead of the Euro's next year. England Coach has given him serious warnings over remaining with Arsenal. He's most likely not to be called up for the competition. Manchester United has also been linked with Serhou Guirassy, who has contributed very well to the success of his club ( Stuggart ) this very season. Aaron Ramsdale's best season as an English Premier League goalkeeper was undoubtedly last season that he was delivered great goalkeeping performances for Arsenal as they fought for the English Premier League title which they lost to eventual winners Manchester City. Unfortunately for the Englishman, Arsenal manager decided to use David Raya as the club's first choice goalkeeper. However the manager's choice to use Raya instead of Ramsdale doesn't change the fact that Ramsdale is a very good goalkeeper. I wouldn't want to compare him to Manchester United's Andre Onana because I think the both goalkeepers are good in their own rights. If Chelsea wants to sign Aaron Ramsdale to replace their injured goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, then k think it'll be a good transfer deal for the London club. |
