1841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 31, 2014, 10:59:40 PM
I know there are many XC investors who are curious of why the dev paid loljosh 0.7btc.  I have seen some posts from XC'ers asking about it and within minutes it gets deleted.

He bought premium homegrown hydroponic marijuana, a few grams of pure cocaine and threw a party. A jealous neighbor that wasnt invited to appreciate all that delicious coke started spreading FUD from that day on.

Yes i can testify that this is true because i was at the party.

I for one really would like an honest answer from the XC dev to close this once and for all.

The answers have been so vague like he is trying to hide something. "No I didn't pay loljosh for the Xnode code". That's not what we are asking.

Did you pay loljosh 0.7btc to provide you with anything directly or in-directly associated with this coin. Yes or No. If yes, provide details.

If it was 0.7btc to buy some beer from him, the no worries.

If it was to provide the code base for the coin to work I.e coingen. We as investors have a right To know.

Thank you and look forward to your response.

I think there is something ironic about people who are wanting a coin to hide your personal financial transactions demanding the dev show his.

he has replied to numerous fad, albeit, and for the better, not at everything. better working than taking part in every fud

Like I said, if he takes time out of his busy schedule to come rush online to defend against the scribd article but can't squeeze in a quick 5 minute tweet to denounce what Internetape did? Sorry not buying it.

1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 31, 2014, 10:00:19 PM

looks like u havent been here for some days then, cause ur so wrong.

Not really look at his posting history, he hasn't commented once on the XC/DRK rift. He should have gotten online and nipped it in the bud early on after twittergate and said "I'm only concentrating on my coin" just IMO.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 31, 2014, 09:50:34 PM
I'm not technical enough to understand the coinjoin article but I find it humorous that Evan has just been "too busy" for days to comment on the XC drama or call off his attack dogs on twitter but immediately rushes online to give a meek answer to accusations darksend is not foolproof.
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 31, 2014, 08:30:08 PM

Why would I buy X11/POS code when it is open source?Huh?

Pssst logic is a troll's kryptonite!
1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 31, 2014, 07:15:36 PM

It's not smart, it's lame!

If you don't think the programming, marketing, 3d animation or design world doesn't outsource lowly work then you need to get out and experience the real world. (and again not saying atcsecure did, but it doesn't really offend me, I just care about the final product not how it came to be).
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 30, 2014, 08:52:26 PM
I'm a layman so alot of this tech stuff goes over my head, but what my impression is so far is alot of the FUD flying has been countered very well.

In order this is my experience over the last week

OMG this dev is fake, he'll never have a wallet by Sunday!

- check, wallet on Sunday

then

OMG this guy is not Dan Metcalfe, that is just speculation, he is probably some kid

- check, Dan Metcalfe updates his linkedin

OMG there is a one line mention of fedoracoin, sell, sell, sell!

- check, Mindfox looks at the code and confirms it's not fedora's.

I believe in solid, honest questions but after being inundated with scam coins for months now, this is one of the most transparent devs i've come across and frankly his age and resume give me more confidence than alot of these 20 year-old copy paste kids. Do I still hold out the possibility he can't pull it off? Sure, but I do think if there is ANY coin that can compete with Dark, this is it, no other comes close except MRO which has issues of its own as well.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 30, 2014, 04:47:19 PM
From the DRK thread : maybe someone can clear this up for me here. Maybe even the XC dev himself.

This is a serious question, and applies for both DRK and XC because I am legitimately concerned about this : if you are to host a master node (or xNode for XC), can you not be charged with money laundering (if convicted) if you are a resident of the USA? Or because the IRS classified crypto as property and not a currency, this is not the case? Does anyone know?

I do know that it doesn't matter if you know whether or not you know where the money is coming from or going (you cannot the play the "well I didn't know it was drug money card"), but because you are facilitating the process, you are liable. But this goes back to my property vs currency and what kind of rules apply here?

rules of FUD  Grin

Actually this is not FUD and related to the coin, it is a serious valid legal concern.

Real atc; http://www.atcassociates.com/locations.asp

Fake atc; http://www.atccorp.net/contact.html

They set up fake linkedin for bot atc and dan. Just call the real atc and you will get the truth.

I cannot believe i am the first one who did this. People who invested in this aer turris, its  now up to you.

Now you guys are REALLY reaching, it's sad. Maybe he has a fake birth certificate too!
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XC vs DRK is fake - stop giving the whales BTC on: May 30, 2014, 03:10:47 AM
Well so long as theirs money to be made on alt coins and your fast enough it doesn't bother me one bit. Most coins are just pump and dump now days with no real services up an running or very little amounts of services set up to actually work and succeed as a competitor within the alt market. Look at how Doge is going. As predicted right down into the 10s satoshis and it would not surprise me if it goes into the single satoshi units by next 2 to 3 months and be sitting at around 3 to 5 satoshi per doge. If it goes back into the thousands ill be very surprised if it does. Its more of a hyip coin been hyped about how good it is starts a trend then after a few months people see its worth nothing more than vapour or dust.
Yeah, it sucks but maybe people constantly getting burned will help stop the 100 shit coins that are made every day. Although the only real way I could see it happening is if the major exchanges take some kind of hit.
I imagine some guy with a whip has a warehouse with 500 people in creating coins and spamming on bitcointalk.

I don't mind seeing the obvious P&D's going down, the issue is real quality coins are being pumped and abused too, nothing shows solid consistent growth anymore, at what point will it end and crypto dies off? The market is running out of computer geeks to keep pumping new money in and people are leaving by the droves.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XC vs DRK is fake - stop giving the whales BTC on: May 30, 2014, 02:40:42 AM
That's what you call trading strategy by the pump and dump experts. If you want to earn big follow their strategy but you should better know when to dump, timing is important. Grin

Accept history has proven that coins rarely if ever recover from big dumps, most buyers cut their losses and move on (which I bet many leave crypto permanently soured on the whole experience)
1852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XC vs DRK is fake - stop giving the whales BTC on: May 30, 2014, 02:27:26 AM
nonsense, these are trades, play or leave.

1-2 whales tanking the market 50% by themselves isn't exactly a trade lol
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 30, 2014, 01:38:34 AM
Everyone, Dan Metcalf's linkedin has been updated, look!

http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dan-metcalf/12/1a8/b82

Currently working on a revolutionary idea and project - XC.
1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncensored XC thread on: May 30, 2014, 01:33:11 AM
Hell without Linux, you fools wouldn't be here. Cellphones wouldn't be here.. APPLE AND GOOGLE WOULDN'T BE HERE! Quit the stupid nonsense. Everything starts from something and gets updated or get's a remake. Deal with it.

My thing is if code gets re-used, who cares. The game industry recycles code all the time, every variation of Linux is based off what Linus Torvald did, why even bother writing new code unless you absolutely need to. All I care about is if the product works in the end and improves upon the last.
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncensored XC thread on: May 30, 2014, 12:36:04 AM

Probably the problem also for them is that they think it's just "a basic coin mixer".

Hey those are the words I heard in the Dark forum, all other coin mixers like Fedora or XC are shit but Dark's is somehow special...even though if it was so special why did it have to change to the masternodes concept...and if the masternodes concept is perfect why will it now be replaced by something "better" than ring signatures after MRO and BCN came out with guns blazing...

Why not cut to the chase and work on the FINAL ultimate solution instead of building out these semi-anonymous methods of coin obfuscation along the way towards the final product? Oh right because RC1, RC2, RC 4 and RC4 are cute buzzwords to help build up hype and collect more ca$h along the way.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncensored XC thread on: May 30, 2014, 12:08:55 AM
Summarizing Dark community's positions:

1. Why won't Evan come on and disown InternetApe's FUD?

A: He is too busy (because we know writing a tweet takes a long time out of your busy schedule)

2. Why won't Dark submit itself to an independent audit?

A. Cause all dem crooked devz wantz to stealz our tek!

3. How can Dark claim to be the FIRST anonymous cryptocurrency when BCN and Fedora did it first?

A. Well those aren't decentralized! (except BCN is...)

Meanwhile Dan is expected to hop online every 5 minutes to answer the same question that's been answered 5 times already and is having to graciously show his own code to prove he is legit that other devs would balk at doing.
1857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncensored XC thread on: May 29, 2014, 11:21:30 PM

because of fucking scammers waiting for it.

Truecrypt proved at the time the best product always wins in the end no matter how many copy it and it was fully open source. I thought the point of crypto was to change the world, not obscenely profit off your creation?
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncensored XC thread on: May 29, 2014, 11:19:15 PM

Its not at the moment because of fucking scams like XC. Everything else is a complete fucking rip-off from darkcoin, DarkSend will be too.

Darksend is at heart a basic coin mixer, I thought coin mixers were shit so what's the problem of releasing the source?

Also if there is one ultimate reason to audit the code...is to know that BOTH Evan or Dan aren't fed honey pots
1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 29, 2014, 11:07:45 PM
I was a little nervous seeing that CryptoPumps page claiming an audit but hearing Mindfox took a look at it and there is a bounty for rat4 to look at it puts my mind at ease.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 29, 2014, 06:54:10 PM

20 years guru made a copy and paste mistake.

That's all.

There is no copy and paste because Fedora is not open source

That's all.
