1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 15, 2022, 11:35:52 AM

I really hope that Dortmund can win the match against Freiburg, but I don't think that they can destroy Freiburg with such a big score, at first I thought that Dortmund might win by a narrow score, because besides apart from Munich, Freiburg is a team that have a fairly strong defense in the league and it was evident before against dortmund, freiburg conceded only 18 goals from 18 matches in the league.
With this victory, dortmund can finally close the distance with munich to 3 points, and hopefully munchen who will play today against koln will get a negative result.

I kinda expected Dortmund to win against Freiburg because Dortmund was probably in a pretty good mood because they somehow managed to turn that game around last week against Frankfurt after they were already 0-2 down, while Freiburg at the same time was clearly the better team in their game last week against Bielefeld but then their goalie made a huge mistake and Freiburg only achieved a draw. So the odds where pretty clear to me before yesterdays match. I still did not think though that Dortmund would achieve such a clear victory, but they managed to score a pretty early goal and then everything went in their way.
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help! Investor For a new crypto project where to? on: January 15, 2022, 11:30:45 AM
Hi guys, I would love it if you could give me some guidance as I've got an idea and I would like to pitch my idea to a few investors that would like to invest in a start-up. I've tried angelinvestmentnetwork but seems like you gotta pay for it any other alternatives?

So you are still completely alone without a team and your project is still only an idea? If that is the case then i don't really know where to look for investors. I know about all those launchpads and incubators like DuckDao, Polkastarter, Poolz and others but there you are buying into the private or public sale most of the time, but what you need are seed investors. So you need to find an angel investor or you need to spend some money yourself to create a website, develop a whitepaper and a roadmap and you also need to create a pitchdeck that shows the idea behind your project and what it offers to the user and of course to the investors.
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 14, 2022, 01:11:30 PM
Van de Beek was offered to Newcastle

Newcastle are desperate to get anyone they think will help them avoid the drop. Paying £25m for Wood is as much about weakening a competitor as it is strengthening their own squad.

I think even if they do manage to bring in a load of expensive new players this month, it's going to be very difficult to turn a bunch of new individuals into a cohesive footballing team in time to avoid relegation. And players who Newcastle bid for will know that. I can't see why top players would want to join them.

It really seems like that almost every player at the moment is offered to newcastle and by every player i mean of course all those players that the other teams want to get rid off for whatever reason. Maybe because the club is in financial trouble like for example Barcelona and they desperately need to save money from salaries or if a club just wants to get rid of a player that they have bought for a big amount of money some time ago but is just not performing that well since then, like for example Pogba. Newcastle really needs to be smart now to not just throw their money out of the window now for  big names, they need to create a functioning team.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether is centralized, is it worth holding on: January 14, 2022, 01:06:29 PM
I have noticed USDT to be the dominant coin on exchanges and this help in having the highest marketcap of all the whole existing stable coins. I am thinking may be because tether is centralized has been the reason centralized exchanges have liked it because they are centralized too. Check this out, it is about a recent USDT that has been frozen by Tether company.

Tether freezes $150 million in USDT
https://shibastore.co/tether-freezes-150-million-in-usdt/

I am afraid one day tether is going to freeze my coin or anybody's coin, the reason the coin that was frozen this year was frozen has not be known but may be it is a good reason, but I am thinking not to use USDT ever again because it is centralized.

What do you think about tether company having the power or ability to freeze any USDT of their choice. Is it a good idea?

There have been discussions and arguments about USDT for at least a few months now regarding it's safety and other stuff. The mean reason for the concerns that many people are having with USDT is the fact that we can not be sure if every USDT that is minted is still really backed by a real USD anymore because back in 2019 they changed the wording regarding this very important factor. The official statement regarding this is now that they have enough reserves to cover every USDT minted, but nobody knows if those reserves really exist and no one knows what kind of reserves that they are talking about. I think though that most stablecoins are centralized.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any website without a dispute here? on: January 14, 2022, 09:57:56 AM
I guess I have seen disputes/complain against all the crypto casinos out there. Every day, in the scam accusation section, we have to new accusation thread against casinos. It even includes all the reputed casinos, new casinos. I mean none has an exception. I can't remember if there is a casino that never receive any accusation here in the scam accusation board; maybe betbtc.co is an exception which is closed now. Did you find these ridiculous? Did not a casino run properly? I believe there are issues from the side of the gamblers as well but you can't deny that casinos take advantage a lot of times.

I think stuff like that is just in the nature of human beings are. In the end there are a lot of online casinos out there so i would be not surprised if a competitor creates accounts here on this forum just to accuse other online casinos of fraud or something else. Behavior like that can be seen everywhere, just look at the reviews on amazon or google maps, there are companies that are offering to boost your review rating on those sites, so you always have to take those ratings with a grain of salt and the same is true with the scam accusations here on this forum. The problem with that is, if a accusation is really legit then people could miss it or not take it seriously.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Is The Safest Meme Coin To Invest In? on: January 14, 2022, 09:53:04 AM
Why has meme investing become so popular?

Firstly, let’s take a look at what actually defines a meme coinTraditional cryptocurrencies are generally created as a means of solving real-world problems and to carry a degree of utility for users, whether that utility is privacy, borderless transactions, or acting as a native currency to DeFi projects.

Well first of all i have to say that you at least tried to hide the fact that you just started this thread only to promote your own meme-coin (or sh*it-coin) by adding some text to it. That being said, i understand that you also want to make some quick and easy money with almost zero effort, which is probably the goal of every "team" if you want to call them like that, that are creating dozens of sh*t-coins every day. I think though that you are to late to the party already, of course there are still a lot of sh*it-coins appearing but the big hype around them is gone and i personally am very happy about that because now the focus is back on real projects.
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 13, 2022, 07:07:52 PM
That's kind of the problem though, it shows the dominance of the car when he got his championships. You could say the same with MSC and Hamilton, except they both won championships in another car. And were very competitive even with lesser cars. Vettel, less so.
Hamilton has literally just 1 championship with not a dominating car and that was a season I will give you that he was decent. Not that he dominated, he was just 1 point ahead of Massa who had 1 more retired as well as some issues, to be fair everyone had more retired and issued cars compared to Hamilton that season even if we can't say he was the fastest car, if his teammate didn't get 3 retired races and some issues, I am pretty sure Kova would be closer as well.

Schumi was a great, I am not arguing against that, but Hamilton certainly is closer to Vettel in my mind. If we are saying vettel only won thanks to dominating car, then we can say Hamilton has only 1 championship with mclaren and all others are worthless, is that okay to say? I would say Schumi is great, Hamilton is great, and Vettel is great, we do not have to bring someone down to say other one is great.

I also think that we do not need to belittle the achievements of other drivers just to elevate our personal driver above them. If you are looking through twitter and through the comments on Youtube then there are always fights and arguments going on between the fans of Schumacher, Hamilton and Senna. For a lot of people Senna is still the greatest of all time even though he won the championship "only" 3 times. I also think that you can not say that Hamilton is the best of all time just because he had the most championships, i mean in the end the car is still the most important factor in the formula 1 and to determine which driver is really the best they all had to drive in the same car.
1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 13, 2022, 01:51:22 PM
This shows that xavi is gradually improving this team.i saw the intensity the players put in this el classico it shows they are understanding what their coach want from them.De Jong did very well in that midfield.would have like Barcelona to go through to the final they were kind of the better team if you consider what they have gone through this season.i pray Atletico Madrid win against Atletico club today so the final won't be easy for Madrid.

I could not watch the game live but i saw a lot of tweets in my feed yesterday night and today about how good Barcelona was performing in yesterdays Clasico and that they were able to surprise most of the spectators with their good performance even though they lost in the end. The game was extremely close and Real Madrid had to score a goal 8 minutes into the extra time to win this game, so i guess this says enough about how well Barca played yesterday. I also think that Xavi has the potential to become a great trainer. He played many years under Pep Guardiola and that was a time where Barca was by far the best team in the world and almost unbeatable.
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to buy fundamental tokens, what should I buy? on: January 13, 2022, 01:48:16 PM
Hey everyone, I am a conservative investor and only stick to fundamental analysis. Therefore, I buy only fundamental projects with prospects for the future. I already have in my portfolio: Near, Sol, Dot, Luna. What else should I buy?

Well i would say that the most fundamental crypto investment that you can make is still Bitcoin, but you should be also aware that a x10 from here on in the short- or midterm is not very likely, at least in my opinion. In addition to BTC i would say that most L1 projects are basically good fundamental coins to buy. L1 tokens are projects that build an entire ecosystem where other projects can build upon the most well known and oldest one of those is Ethereum, there you can create your own token and develop dApps, Dexes and so on. Nowadays there are way more L1 protocols out there examples are Solana, Cardano or Radix. I think those projects are solid investments for the longterm.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling for the rich who can afford to lose ? on: January 12, 2022, 03:33:48 PM
Many people come in gambling in order to win in a short time and change their faith. They are the ones who can't afford to lose. If these people lost in gambling, that would have a seriously bad effect on their lives.

On the other hand, there are people who have a lot of money in hand and losing is not a big deal for them. If they win in gambling, they enjoy and if they lose, nothing is lost for them as they have a lot of money in bank balance. They will come again next day and play more without worrying about the money.

So can we say that gambling is for the riches who can afford to lose?

I don't agree with this statement. In the end it is up to you how much money you risk for your gambling or betting. If you are normal working class guy, like most of us here i would guess, then just don't be greedy and stupid. If you only can afford to use 20$ a months for gambling or better then thats how it is, but you simply should never bet more money than you can afford to lose this is true for both rich and normal or poor people.
If you are a rich dude and could afford to spend 2000$ or more per months or something then you can still lose everything if you get greedy or addicted if you invest more than that amount for gambling and betting. So in the end it's up to you to only invest money that you can afford to lose, no matter if you are poor or rich.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stick to altcoins or switch to Bitcoin or stablecoins? on: January 12, 2022, 03:25:35 PM
Market is witnessing some gradual dumps and it's a know fact that altcoins will bleed more than bitcoin and they will be stable or recover only when bitcoin recovers and pumps. So will it be wise to hold on to Altcoin or switch to Bitcoin or convert the funds into stablecoins and wait for market to either start recovering or to dump further to buy more in order to reach breakthrough for the lose which we might have incurred till now.

In theory it would definitely make sense to transfer your funds from highly volatile altcoins into Bitcoin or even better in stablecoins like USDT or USDC before a bear market comes. By doing that you have saved your profits (when you transferred it to stable coins) or you increased your Bitcoin holdings and once the market hit's a low you can use that money again to buy back for example 3 times the amount of those tokens that you sold before.
The BIG problem is though that you would need to know how the market develops in the future (which is basically true for every investment) in order for that strategy to work perfectly. It is also possible that you sell your altcoins only one day before they make a x2 or something.
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 12, 2022, 12:46:15 PM
And when it comes to the Salzburg v Bayern Munich matchup, we can already consider Bayern Munich as the highly favourite side very clearly. Bayern Munich shouldn't have much difficulty in destroying Salzburg in both matches of this draw. Bayern Munich are even one of the most favoured teams for the Champions League title too. They gave their best against PSG last season but they still were eliminated. But this time, they might want to revenge on them in case they get a draw against each other again.

I agree that Bayern Munich is the big favorite in the next round against Red Bull Salzburg. At the moment Bayern is missing like 12 players or so because of Covid and the Africa Cup but we still have almost 5 weeks to go until the match vs Salzburg happens and until then those players will surely be back. The only question is if Bayern can prevent from now on to have more Covid cases. I think even if they are missing 4 to 5 key players against Salzburg for whatever reason then Bayern should still be able to advance, but once they are in the quarter- or the semi-finals they really need all their good players. I think Covid is definitely a big factor in this years tournament.
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Volume measured in $? on: January 12, 2022, 12:43:05 PM
Hi,

So on Coinbase, the "Volume" of any crypto has unit measurement of $.

However my understanding of Trading volume is the amount of crypto that is traded (not the value)

So for example, if in the past 24 hours for Bitcoin there was only one transaction pair - Someone sells one bitcoin for $50k and someone buys it for $50k.

I would expect the Volume to be 1 and not $50k.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

I think your approach does not really make sense because that way you can not compare the trading volume between different projects or coins or tokens. Let's say you have trade A which is a guy buying 1 bitcoin with usdt and you have trade B where another person is buying 1 ETH with USDT. If we follow your approach then the trading volume of both trades would be 1. One bitcoin is worth more than 40k $ though and 1 ETH is "only" worth 3200 $, so in order to prevent such misinterpretations the trading volume is always shown in the same unit for all trading pairs, most of the time those are FIAT values but you can also display them as BTC values.
1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Gambling on: January 11, 2022, 03:12:07 PM
Everyone here plays gambling. Some win a lot of money, others lose their life saving and most of us are in no profit no loss situation. We win some and lose some and keep on enjoying the game.
Gambling does have some advantages but also it has its disadvantages. It will be better if the pros and cons of gambling be discussed extensively so people especially the newcomers know what they can expect from gambling.

Well to make it short, the biggest pro is definitely that, if you are lucky, then you can make money with, depending on how lucky you are or how much you are willing to bet you can even win life changing amounts of money and that is probably the reason why a lot of people are attracted to gambling or to sports betting. As the first sentence already implies, you can also be unlucky and lose your money. That means it is up to you how much risk you are willing to take. Going all in and risk it all for a life changing win but risking it also that you lose your life savings, or just play with small amounts here and there and if you lose it doesn't really matter. I'm definitely in the second group.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out on: January 11, 2022, 03:00:17 PM
What is the best crypto investment advice you can give someone who makes 600$ per month from other job? I'm presently in this situation and due to the unstable crypto market we in I don't know what to advice this person, even 2022 looks bearish to me, help me out

It always depends on what you want to achieve with your money? So you have an income of 600$ per month, i guess you have also a lot of fixed costs, so let's say you have 100$ of spare money left each and every months, then i would still put aside 50$ of that for savings if something unforeseen happens and the other 50$ you can use for your investments. If you want to invest into relatively stable projects then you should choose projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum, usually they suffer the least in a bear market. If you say that you want to go high risk with that 50$ then invest into new and upcoming projects. There you have the possibility for high profits but also for a total loss.
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 11, 2022, 10:34:18 AM
If I'm not wrong now, Manchester United have already offered a contract extension to Paul Pogba. But I'm having my doubts about if he will be accepting the deal or not. Because if Paul Pogba really wanted to play for Manchester United for more years, I assume that he would already have wanted an extension by himself.

If you are Paul Pogba say for instance, will you still want to play for MUFC that is very unpredictable right now in performance, or will you want to secure your career and find opportunities else where?

...

If I were Paul Pogba, honestly I wouldn't have liked to continue to play for Manchester United anymore. Because there is a big ambiguity when it comes to the near future of the team. They are still having a really hard time winning their domestic league games. In this situation, a big player like Pogba should think of joining a team that are in a better condition while there is an opportunity to do so. And while PSG and Real Madrid are already after him, he should go to one of them.

I also think that slowly but surely it is time for a change for Pogba. I can still remember very well when he was probably the most wanted player for all the big clubs of the world back in 2016 and Manchester United was willing to pay 105 M€ for him which was one of the highest transfer fees that was ever paid until then. Somehow Pogba was never really able to show his true potential during his time at Manchester United, he had a few great games here and there but also a lot of games where he was not really noticeable and he also collected a few absolutely unnecessary red cards, which further proves to me that he is just not happy at Manchester.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO Zhao Is Worth $96B Excluding Crypto Holdings on: January 11, 2022, 10:29:56 AM
Binance’s CZ has a very impressive story as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerburg. Both of them begun with nothing and presently they are holding more financial power than their competitors. However, this will begin to be a problem for CZ. Tax authorities, financial regulators and politicians who want media attention will make him their next target.

CZ should be hiring more lawyers and begin using Monero hehehe. Remind me of this thread 3 years from now.

To achieve such a story of success a lot of things need to come together you need to be smart, you need to know about the stuff that you are investing in or that you want to build, you need to have the right timing, you must take a lot of risk and i guess the most important factor; you need to have a lot of luck. I read yesterday or so, that CZ sold his house in order to be able to invest more into BTC as soon as he has found out about it, so he definitely took a huge risk there, then he invested a lot of money that he earned with his early Bitcoin buys into his company which was a huge success. Sometimes stuff like this works out, most of the time it is not.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 11, 2022, 05:42:05 AM
There is the case of increasing number of underaged gamblers, will you still teach your little kids to gamble?

The answer will be "no" for most users, but truth is that in reality, most parents who gamble teach their kids indirectly to gamble without knowing, how?

for Sports betting - You indirectly teach your kids to gamble when you leave open your online betting slips, and drop carelessly within the reach of the underaged your offline slip if you didn't bet online. Kids are very inquisitive and take cue from their parents and guardians easily.

You indirectly teach the underaged to gamble when you speak freely and excitedly about how you their parent or guardian placed some bets, visited a casino to have some fun and so on. (be careful what you say around the underaged, they learn quickly especially from someone they look up to.

You also contribute to the increasing cases of gambling when you hide answers about gambling from the underaged when asked. If your kids or any underaged around you becomes too curious about gambling, educate them and let them know the perils of underaged gambling and why it is for adults, answer their questions and clear their doubts, so they don't go find out about gambling themselves.

kindly bring to our notice other ways user's have unknowingly contributed to the increasing number of underaged gambling, so we can take corrections and make amends where necessary.

Well i don't have kids yet myself but i am pretty sure i would not be that big of a inspiration for them to start gambling or sports betting, because i just do it for fun with small amounts of FIAT and i am happy if i win and if i lose i don't really care to much, but i am not doing it for a living like some people in this forum. That being said, if you have kids or younger siblings or whatever and they see you while you are gambling on your computer or smartphone then they are basically introduced to gambling through you, no matter how you take it. Then it is your responsibility to tell them that they should not do it if they are still young. Once they become teenagers they will do what they want anyway.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still makes you rich or end of trend? on: January 11, 2022, 05:36:19 AM
Once people was crazy about meme coin. After publishing lots of article, videos Against meme coins as cautioins, and after knowing that such step would be risky but they keep invested on such coins for earn quick money. Doge was pumped after elon tweet but dump again. now it seems people are more careful than before and most of memcoins got flop. so holding meme coins still make you rich or soon it'll be end of meme trend?

To be honest for me it is pretty sad that the tweets of Elon Musk alone were enough to initiate that crazy flood of meme-coins that we are experiencing for months now. I think as of now we have more than 100 crypto "projects" that have the name Shiba in them, in my opinion the word project is not even appropriate because those are all shit-coins that are just a copy of another shitcoin which take like zero effort to create. I guess everyone agrees that probably less than 2% of all that meme-coins that are appearing now will still be here in a few months, all others will be completely dead. Shiba Inu is the biggest second generation meme-coin and will probably be around for a while.

A truly shameful situation for Australia - they have no idea what they are doing. Ultimately it will be a political decision - where the Minister of immigration can again cancel his Visa - and his decision is due tomorrow.
It's a truly bizarre situation - Đoković can now freely enter Australia and go to a movie or eat at a restaurant - and tomorrow he can be deported because he isn't vaccinated.

Nothing like this should ever happen in sport.

It's always weird when politics and sports are mixed or one is used to influence another or stuff like that. It happens a lot especially in before big international events like the Olympics, just look at what's going on now with the winter Olympics in china where some nations already declared that they won't send political representatives to China.
That whole situation with Djokovic and the Australion Open is even weirder to me though, because of all that back and forth that is happening. First it looks like he gets an exception, then the government won't let him enter the country, now it looks like he can enter again, but it is still not sure yet and even if he can enter it is unclear if he can participate in the AO, what an embarrassment for everyone involved.
