1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 04, 2023, 10:07:39 PM
The OG vs Ooredoo Thunder series was the juiciest series today, specifically that third map as I thought Ooredoo's AM would have a free game because they're always on Yuragi's drow whenever a team fight is about to start
I saw that match and it's been really talked about since after the match ended. The third map/game has broken everyone's thought that Ooredoo Thunders will be going to the Berlin major. That moment was great and yuragi's decision making was on point together with the actions of his teammates.

but all it takes is one good opportunity where the drow can dish out several hits in a row to bring the game back on their side. I can't find any clip so here's a timestamp from one of the VODs posted on youtube.
That was the most perfect opportunity for them to come back and win the series. It was so close for Ooredoo Thunders, we want to see new faces in the upcoming majors but I guess that it's not going to take a long time until we see them in an actual.
1962  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: April 04, 2023, 01:22:09 PM
3 years is too long for me but that would be enough to think about what you're doing. I think a year is already fine to determine whether to pursue a business that's not profitable. But I could also be wrong because we've got our own timelines. Some may be good seeing them fail within 6 months and they're already out. And that range is also undeniable enough to say to give up a business because if you're the sole financier and you own it, you'll have to think about expenses and no cash flow getting into you. If you think that you can have that no cash flow and all you've been spending for the operation is coming from your pocket, that's okay as long as you can sustain and you believe on what you does.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think low processing fees is more beneficial for merchants? on: April 04, 2023, 10:42:00 AM
We hate to pay fees and that's like sucking our money easily from these payment processors. There have been merchants that do avoid accepting these services and they avoid getting paid with credit cards, vouchers, and even bank transfers because they've got fees.
While transaction fees now directly with Bitcoin aren't that much, they've got also another option to accept lightning network which is good for small transfers and it's the quickest that they can use. And every merchant should accept directly and that's gonna save them time and from higher fees.
1964  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: April 04, 2023, 08:54:13 AM
That's okay if we're just small gamblers. And that won't make us stop from thinking that someday we'll also be on that level because anything is possible if it's about these levels. We may save and take time but who knows if, in the nearest future, you'll be the next to share your next level.
Small gamblers can also reach high levels but it will take them lot of time if we see the wagering requirements because whales gamble big in one shot only while our monthly allocated budget towards gambling is low.But yes we can also reach that level at some time if we are lucky it could be fast also so enjoy your gameplay.
We can but that doesn't mean that you'll pursue that at any time in the future. Usually, we just get discouraged with that we're all done and tired of hitting those achievements.
Just be a casual gambler and don't think of it and just keep on enjoying, winning some and losing some and you might not notice it that you're already there soon.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which Sports do you like to bet apart from the listed one here? on: April 03, 2023, 06:05:46 PM
Isnt esports betting very relevant for the youngest audience.  Its heavily linked online and also imo aligns perfectly to crypto and the general idea online digital items, worth and value remotely placed etc.
I'd guess the tradational sports will always be bigger and more mainstream but for growth imo its anything viewable online especially and playable ideally.
It is. With all of the professional scene that we're having right now for those esports games, they're considered one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. We're having not just games, not just professional players and esports athletes but also gambling. I still remember that before in Dota 2, anyone can bet with their in-game items. I just don't know if there are still some that type of casinos that are popular, I do know that there are still some in existence but the popular ones that I know were already gone. Before it was just a taboo that no one will get a better future with it but now, we've got retired millionaires that have earned their reputation and money from this career.
1966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You don't need to learn everything about Bitcoin on: April 03, 2023, 12:19:06 PM
One of the most common advises in this section, generally posted by other newbies, is that you need to "learn bitcoin" to "succeed". I think it's counterproductive.

You need to learn only two things - how to use Bitcoin and how to not lose it. The rest depends on what you want to do. You don't need to learn how to trade if you don't plan trading. You don't need to learn how Bitcoin works on a very low level if you don't plan to become a Bitcoin developer. Sure, it's good to know, but it's not necessary to "succeed". You don't need to learn all about mining if you don't plan to mine. You don't need to learn advanced cryptography if you are not a developer.

There's two ways to make money with Bitcoin - buying and waiting for the price to rise, or doing some Bitcoin-related work. And the first doesn't require any deep knowledge, just have an exit strategy and don't panic sell. Reading this forum for many hours per day alone won't make you rich.
Yeah, there are some specifics on what shall one needs to learn. If it's just about investing then those two that you've mentioned is what they need to learn.
While I am seeing those newbies who have the intention to learn how to profit through trading, they're rushing things and just want to get there as soon as possible.
But even if they want to get there so fast, they need to go through with various losses. Everything you said are correct and if there are newbies there that still don't know what to do, take these wise advises.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 03, 2023, 09:23:29 AM
I've just watched the first match between Team SMG and Execration and all I can say is that Execration is getting to the next level. They deserve the Berlin major spot and they might end up this DPC tour 2 as the 2nd place. Polaris Esports and Geek Slate will be now relegated to division 2.
Well, this is for the SEA, and while looking for some matches in other regions I ended up with WEU. Division 2 there is about to start and we'll now start to see which two teams will be moved to division 1. Notable teams there are Alliance, Team Secret, and Old G.
1968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: April 02, 2023, 05:59:00 PM
My target in the next few months  Cheesy I have a locked bonus it takes around $ 28k wagered
Man, you're one of a kind and I just want to wish you well with that tourney. Yeah, it may take around that much but I'm sure that you'll get there and you're around 3/4 before the completion.

it's hard for small gamblers to level up like this but sometimes in my heart I want to level up and hope there's a bonus when leveling up my account, unfortunately I'm just a little gambler and I'm not very active at gambling only on weekends playing gambling and even then if I really have free time, I wonder how much bonus you get when you level it up  Cheesy
That's okay if we're just small gamblers. And that won't make us stop from thinking that someday we'll also be on that level because anything is possible if it's about these levels. We may save and take time but who knows if, in the nearest future, you'll be the next to share your next level.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 02, 2023, 04:25:57 PM
His message is directed towards teammates. He had some Filipino dota players as his teammate for 2 years and he never achieved anything significant save for that Animajor semi-finals run and ESL win. Surely it grows on him that even though his teammates are mechanically gifted and some of the best in the region, they still didn't achieve anything significant. Probably that TI early departure made him grow even hostile towards his teammates and it's understandable, but no need to get that remark anywhere and he can just keep that thing to himself but he chose to call out people when it's uncalled for.
He just never had a good run with his past team, T1 together with those teammates that he's calling for the attention of because he and his new team kept on beating their assess. It may seem to be uncalled for but it's a truth that has come from his feeling of dismay at what happened to him. I guess that he was keeping it for a long time and he just got the courage to tell it so that it would be released. Well, what's done is already done and he has said what he feels and those players that might have been called for even without naming it, no need to prove him wrong.
1970  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong - Embracing crypto, new acceptance mode, $100 mln raiser on: April 02, 2023, 01:48:16 PM
Aside from that good news, I've seen that Hong Kong is serious about its recovery. They're also boosting their tourism and that's why there's a connection between this acceptance and embracement of crypto into their SAR. I think it all sums up that it's part of their plan for the recovery and the boost to their tourism which is one of their major contributor to their economy.

I have doubts that these "freedoms" are for a long time. Returning to China's "hard embrace," Hong Kong will be forced to play by China's rules. There can be no talk of any independence or autonomy, I hope you understand that this is all "beautiful advertising." And knowing China's policy regarding cryptocurrencies and scripting freedoms, I am sure that these “shoots” of the free market will soon be clamped down by legislative norms, including for the “Special Administrative Region of China”. I would not now invest in projects that are trying to launch in Chinese-controlled territory
Actually, you've got valid thoughts and concerns. But before being too negative about their plans related to crypto, I'll wait on where is this bringing them. Although there's some solid consideration on what you've said since they're a SAR and has a connection to China for which what might be dictated to them, either be negative or positive about crypto, they'll have to obey.

1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starting my master's degree in bitcoin on: April 01, 2023, 08:36:04 PM
There's a certificate program made by Andreas and colleagues and the company's name is C4. It's not a university or mastery program but it's got a certificate that you need to pass on its assessment. Maybe that will interest you while you're taking a master's degree as that's also another good credential to have.

1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: April 01, 2023, 10:51:08 AM
Very interesting that it will be just 2 months before this fight, maybe it was a rush for Casimero to have a dancing partner because they need to rush things right now in his career. But I do agree that he needs to get busy and that his new promoter found someone that is willing to fight one of the hardest puncher in this division. For me it's better not to get ahead of himself and talk about Inoue again. Just go and fight and win and then later maybe he will be given the rights to face the Japanese monster. I think that is the smartest thing to do right now for him. Focus one fight at a time.
Don't worry about it if there have been talks about Inoue and him, we the fans are just the ones who are talking about it.
They've talked about it though, I mean Inoue responds to Casimero taunting before and they could have face each other already, if only Casimero has face Butler and won his fight.

Nevertheless, both of them have move to 122 lbs and so there is still a chance for them to chase that big fight. But it's more on Casimero side now to proved if he still has that brandish style and can conquer this division. That's why I said, just one fight at a time and maybe he will have his due to face the Inoue for the championship belt assuming Inoue will beat Fulton.
I remember that but it was quite a long time ago and they've got separated ways already. Maybe that can be back and be alive again with that topic but we'll have to wait until whoever starts the conversation again. But it's likely that Casimero is the one that's going to open it up once this match has ended already. Because Inoue is on different weight class and he won't chase the opponents but he's the one that's being chased by those who wants to defeat him.
1973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinmarketcap now is CoinmarketCrab on: April 01, 2023, 09:44:18 AM
Well, I see it. There's no need to be curious about everything when the date is April 1. Just look at the feature that we're seeing from the forum made by theymos.  Cheesy
It's not really a big matter to be wary about and let everyone enjoy and don't cut the fun. I checked its counterpart, coingecko and see if there's also some April fools changes but nothing they have.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 01, 2023, 08:15:36 AM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers?
Spot cash I guess but that's with a contract, maybe a personal or physical contract or if not, there's a digital contract that requires digital signing.

Where does their earning comes from?
The online casinos? Well, obviously to the customers.

How will you get scammed when you try online casino?
Most likely if you try a new casino that has no reputation yet. They're likely the ones to scam their customers but I'm not telling all of them are, there are also those casinos that have been there for so long and yet, they scam people. Good thing the forum has trust feedback and you'll see those existing casinos that are good and bad.

How can you tell that online casino is safe?
Aside from the trust feedback that you can see from their profiles which is a feature of bitcointalk, you can see their threads if they're having good conversations with their customers and addressing issues properly.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 31, 2023, 11:22:59 PM
I am sure that this isn't an April Fools Day announcement but LaMarcus Aldridge has already expressed his retirement in his tweet.

In the words of TB12, you only get one big, emotional retirement… so, on that note…I’m thankful for all the memories, family and friends I made throughout my career. It was one hell of a ride and I enjoyed every min!
12

That was certainly a great career that he's got there. A true hell of a ride and we're pretty sure that he's enjoyed every inch of his entire career. We're all getting old and I'm feeling it when there are players like him announces their departure from the NBA.
1976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paxful Rip off? on: March 31, 2023, 10:19:28 PM
Just report your transaction to the customer support of paxful and let them handle the case.
Two first priorities when you need support to handle your trade:
- File a dispute
- File a report on that trade

Quote
https://paxful.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
They have chat support, the paxbot and you can just chat your message there about this concern which is likely a scam attempt. If you know that the transaction proceeded successfully, there's no need for you to cancel the transaction.
Support ticket can be created through Paxbot and it's their guide on it. How to reach customer support service

That bot is annoying if a new user is not familiar with it but after a few times, it's useful.

All of those: dispute, report, support ticket will take time to be handled.
I agree that it will take time for it to be handled but I don't think that it will take a lot of time for them to reply with that concern. Especially, if the concern relates to a likely scam attempt on their user and they won't allow any scam to happen on their platform.
I guess that's a matter of urgency if they're able to understand the concern so fast that there are some users of theirs that are trying to use their platform getting engaged into that activity.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 31, 2023, 07:20:42 PM
Yeah, that's giving the message to those that are just waiting for him to fight. He's preparing for this and doesn't want an inch of a mistake to be done.
I just don't know if he's still chasing Inoue but that might be seen in the future as of now, he needs to focus on his upcoming fight and that's just 2 months from now. It can be lesser time but it's an advantage for him since the match will be done on his upper hand.
I think he is still chasing Inoue, maybe he doesn't have the belt to chase him right now because he is just a rank boxer in this division and se he has to slowly build his reputation again at 122 lbs. And when the time comes that he is prime again in this division, he might call Inoue again.

And so with this fight, just another stepping stone for him, first is Akaho, which doesn't look good in his resume because it's controversial.

But if he can win with a big knockout here so maybe he will be notice again and given the chance to fight for the belt by WBO.
Unlike Donaire, Casimero still has the time to chase Inoue if that's what he really wants. Yeah, maybe this is a big step for him to get closer and get noticed again but I'm sure that he's also in the list of the other aspiring boxers that would like to get noticed as well so, if it's a stepping stone for him then it's also for his opponent and the others that are interested of fighting him.

Very interesting that it will be just 2 months before this fight, maybe it was a rush for Casimero to have a dancing partner because they need to rush things right now in his career. But I do agree that he needs to get busy and that his new promoter found someone that is willing to fight one of the hardest puncher in this division. What portfolio tracker are you talking about?
It's on the title - coinmarketcap portfolio.
@OP I haven't used this portfolio tracker and I only check it for the prices because there are other trackers that you can use. Before the most popular was blockfolio but AFAIK FTX have acquired it and we knew what happened to FTX.

Am I overlooking some functionality or is there another portfolio tracker that performs better?

I like to see my portfolio in ledger live.
https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live

You should really consider buying a hardware wallet if you are serious about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies
I also use Ledger live and it's one of the best trackers that I've ever used although that's the main require, to own a ledger wallet first.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: History of Crypto Gambling: What is the closest/best successor to Directbet.eu? on: March 30, 2023, 08:17:46 PM
That's nostalgic, I remember how were those times when they were still here and were surprised after their closure announcement. I've seen some ICO-related projects that were also casino based a few years ago but since they're likely failures, I can't remember their names anymore.
I guess aside from the one mentioned by ralle, there has been no significant casino that has the same feature as them. Maybe there will be some revival that's gonna be inspired by them but so far, no successor can be seen close to them.
