It will really help you clean the garbage.  +1 I generally like it when the ANN threads stick to updates and support for those who choose to use the coin. We've already made our decision and that's why we're here. As others have said, those who don't like or believe in this coin aren't being forced to be here. And those of us who do like this coin aren't going to respond too well to even the best efforts to save us from ourselves  I've made epic investment mistakes before. This could be another one. But that's something I'm willing to live with. I appreciate the concern, but I don't need to be repeatedly warned of the dangers of losing my investment. I get that. I'm still in. I ignore everyone who has nothing to add to this thread but FUD. The technical support here has been phenomenal. My wallet is back up and synced and staking... and if network weight is any indicator, so are lots of other wallets  Well in that case, isn't it wonderful that you have the option that bitkokos just so graphically gave to you? I have explained already several time why I wont miss this show for all the tea in China... It's actually getting better and better by the minute... or maybe by the second. Just getting caught up on everything going on here, I have upgraded to the new wallet, and now only was it smooth, it seems to be running beautifully.
Unfortunately this has not gone as perfectly as we had all hoped, but for every little issue, the fix seems to bring out more pros than cons.
Some people have not staked nearly as many as they had hoped, but that has drastically decreased the coin supply. Everything seems to be weighing out pretty good here. I noticed most of the top wallets, that we were all worried about because of the initial hold through PoW strategy, were actually harmed pretty bad by the latest staking flaw.
Had all the staking worked flawlessly and perfectly, who knows where the coin supply would be now, and what it'd be traded at. I think the fact that it is still trading at 0.025 tells us all something.
I myself have learned a lot about staking and other things in the last week. That alone makes all this worthwhile to me.
I have a long weekend for Thanksgiving. So hopefully everything goes smoothly from here. I will try and pop in every now and then, hopefully.

That's a way to stay positive indeed... You just needed to add "never invest more than you can lose" and the effect would have been completely "perfect". Except that there's people, wallets, that have staked a s---load of coins indeed, while most others haven't. And, EVERYONE -except those couple of geniuses that already mined and sold to cover costs- has lost money big time. And that this remains a mess with the coins/money strung and without posibility to get out of it in either direction, while this continue along in the markets. And no, the "trading at 0.025" doesn't even remotely tell us what you pretend it does; it DOES tell us that the price is artificial since the coins are stuck in the wallets, on their way to the wallets or on the way to the bittrex wallet, NOT available for trading in any substantial manner, therefore thyat price you see is a fake that doesn't correspond to reality at all. It'd be nice to know exactly how you and the other PINK devs that were so insistent in sponsoring and promoting this ICO are faring in the mess, as in to identify your wallets and see how then forks and such are affecting you. That would add clarity and transparency to your voluntary involvement in this projects and, perhaps, not hurt the PINK name too bad. Have a happy Thanksgiving! |

My complaint is simple - the ongoing problems with staking and freezing of the coin on trex has permanently hurt the value of this coin - It was off to a great start and then things went downhill and continue downhill.
This is not what I bought into - we were sold a myth, not a coin even before mining began the devs were back pedaling on promises made in the ICO - therefore the ICO was not legitimate.
Syscoin had problem similar and it has never recovered and to this still is still in the tank.
The ICO was never legitimate since no one told no ones that this was simply a rushed hackjob/copy/paste of Shadowcoin.... with the 269% gimmick. That was DISCOVERED (and subsequently admitted by the dev, of course) by one investor. Even before the discovery, I had been posting already that there was no innovation whatsoever on this project, just a gimmick designed to first attract ICO money -a total miserable failure- and second, to cater to the blind, greedy idiots. Besides these two clearly stated points, the dev himself had clearly stated that he expected to be handsomely compensated, and in advance, through the ICO, for his future involvement in the coin, because he doesn't "... believe in voluntary dev work." Now, no matter how you choose to cocktail-ize these ingredients, you are going to end up with less or no money and a mess. But yes, sorry, this is what you chose to buy into. |

I was the 20 largest seed coin holder and now because of this fucked up deployment and botched staking I'm up to a measly whopping 14.53 coins
these guys should refund every single BTC they collected because of their ineptitude...

As much as I agree all the "vericoin projects" have pretty much been a bust for the last 2-3 months, I will say that I'm still personally really excited for what James and the SuperNET project brings to the table. From my understanding the vericoin/SuperNET relationship is all still moving forward and that James originally said he would be about 6 months out from making Vericoin one of his priorities. That puts us at end of Q1/15. If we can even get half way to the perceived target of 50,000 statoshi with James/SuperNEt's involvement then we are talking over 100% from current values. I'm more than happy to stick around for another 5-6 months to see whether or not i can make a 100%+ ROI. Totally worth it to me. This is just total speculation but somebody recently had a couple of 10+ BTC orders get filled on bittrex in the 10-11k range. I mean at today's prices it's not a lot of cash, but nevertheless someone (perhaps James?) is loading up on VRC. Again, total speculation here but I would guess we are all at the mercy of James's hand and that he will continue to wait for orders to be filled until he feels he has enough VRC to move forward and at that point let the fun begin Who know though... Show me a single altcoin that has proven, even at this early stages, so far to be a good "long term" investment... NONE whatsoever. Now if you have 1 BTC in VRC at current price, even though you started investing in it 3 BTC, where do you really believe your 1 BTC will be more profitable in a week, in a month, in a year, in VRC or in BRO? Draw your conclusion... So what do you think, VRC or BRO? You really need to ask? Let me see... a hobby/pipe dream by three kids with less capabilities and aptitudes than the three stooges or a full cutting edge business with income from day one, supported by a highly regarded professional staff and celebrity promotion, cutting itself a slice of a $40 BILLION worldwide industry growing exponentially? If that were true -which is way beyond delusion-, it would be more than doubly great for those buying it here, at 0.04... You really amaze me... I hate to say it, but barabbas is right here. I will be surprised if its worth .00002000 around the end of growth. If the dev is REALLY gonna put work into this coin there are going to be deals to be had You do know that this coin is a copy/paste of Shadowcoin, don't you? What exactly do you expect the dev can do, even if he "...REALLY gonna put work into this coin..."? You also know that the dev got a total of 6.7 BTC in the IPO and that, by his own statements, he doesn't believe at all in doing dev work for nothing, which means that there's absolutely no (known) incentive for him to bring in anything.... even if by some miracle he was capable of such, so you tell me, regardless how much work he chooses to put on this, how is he going to bring ANY value to a coin whose original is struggling in spite of the fact that it has devs way more capable than the one here. I'm really anxious to know what avenues you can foresee... and, while you give it some consideration, I'd advise you to go by the Shadowcoin thread and draw your own conclusions. Furthermore, with all this taken into consideration, why would this coin be ever worth a penny more than the roughly $20,000 that is it worth, potentially, right now? |

You and me disagree significantly Annoxy. First, considering tone and sarcasm by sonny here, I am more than bending over backwards to not respond in kind. Second, the sponsorship, support and promotion by the entire PINK team of a coin with an embarrassingly incompetent dev, which they should know is a hack job/copy/paste of Shadowcoin, is beyond what could be considered acceptable on ANY real-life circumstance. The resulting failure, when just over 1% of the minimum target was reached in the ICO -most of it probably by the direct promotion and personal intervention of the PINK dev team-, is even more embarrassing, not just for the devs -which are an asset of the PINK project, therefore with responsibilities assumed-, but for the whole PINK community which is represented by these guys. Third, I don't tell them what to do nor give them any advice -I would charge for that, usually-. What I do is presenting the FACTS and let people draw their own conclusions. Hello, just wanted to point out something to people that are having a hard time understanding why BRO will be a huge hit.
Everyone at the BitAngels and inSide Bitcoin Conference were complaining that the problem with these alternative coins is that they have no marketing behind them and no liquidity. There is no sustainable model that can support prices of these coins.
Enter Breakout Gaming. Professional multi-million dollar marketing entering into a $40Bn market. Gaming is the number one use of all crypto coins, up to 70% by some estimates.
Breakout Gaming plans to have 750,000 registered users over the next two years. Players that register on our gaming site to play that buy-in with "fiat" currency to buy BRO chips must be backed by a similar reserve in BRO coins. That means Breakout Gaming MUST buy BRO coins on a daily basis to meet those reserve requirements. That could be millions a day, depending on the volume. Now go to coinmarketcap.com and look at the daily trading volume of the top ten coins. Pitiful.
If Breakout Gaming captures even a sliver of the traditional gaming market as we plan. Good things will happen.
BRO is, indeed, the first digital coin that will be used from day one. Not even Bitcoinn can claim that. I am quite sure your ICO is going to be a success of historical proportions. Deservedly so... But I see some rather serious, troubling problems that hadn't been addressed: Besides being a crypto currency of no technical innovation (none is needed, mind you), what BRO is, above anything else, is a Vegas Virtual Supercasino. And, as such, is requires a bunch of things, chief among them, a huge payroll. Maintenance, security, supervision, R&D... Let's assume that you collect $5 million dollars in the ICO. You are a big "team" already. So even though it is a huge amount, it isn't so big when you spread it about. And then what? What would be the incentives for people to remain "working" on the project? The big money would have been made, crypto-style (that means instantly), why not move on to the next "thing" instead of hanging on, for no additional payment? Who will mind the store? Additionally: Yes people will continue coming in and needing BRO to buy-in. How are those pots, tournaments, etc. going to operate? As a business? If so, this will be no different than Caesar's Palace issuing a specific number of coins and keeping 67% of them while selling to the public the rest. Investment opportunity? For Caesar's, not for investors... in other words, what is the business model, what, beyond the bro-bergstake, does the investors get? I am definitely not as qualified as others involved in our project to answer your concerns but they appear to be sleeping so I will try. Most importantly you must understand we are BREAKOUT GAMING. BRO is being created to promote Breakout Gaming. When BRO coin is successful it sets the framework for a successful Breakout Gaming. That is our intention. All current employees will retain employment as to further develop Breakout Gaming. Online gaming is a $40,000,000,000 annual business. If as expected we capture a portion of this tremendous market all employees will have a lucrative job for years to come. Why would they leave ? Why would we quit on the project and leave behind a chance of sharing in a $40B annual market for five million dollars and destroy our initial dream ? Would you ? Of the 67% of the remaining premined coins the lions share will be given away in promotions not kept by the devs. That's how we plan to develope our 750,000 registered users. We are not going to stop with the virtual super casino only. We plan to offer other uses for BRO coin outside of casino games. Backgammon would be one example. Who knows. Maybe sometime in the future a father who would never consider casino gaming or poker will be playing chess for BRO's with his son who is across the country away from home for college. When this happens do you think your initial investment in the ICO will be profitable? Once again. Not the customers and -in this case in particular- certainly not the investors. How could they. I don't care if you capture 1% of the 40$ billion industry of half of it or the entire enchilada... the question remains: What's in it for me?And the way I see it, the answer to that question is NADA.
