2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won 500$ on Stake on a blackjack (in 1 minute) on: March 18, 2023, 11:25:23 AM
Congratulations on that last win that you've got. But if you can give the request and demand of other users for showing your stats then that's a good conversation to start with.
Why is it that I'm thinking that you'll just leave this thread after you've posted your YT channel and that win that you've got from them? Stake is already known and if you're for gaining your subscribers and wanting to be a gambling content creator, good luck.
2022  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fiat to crypto scam still existing always on: March 18, 2023, 09:35:37 AM
A friend of mine just received a fake email that's copying Coinbase. He first did is to check his Coinbase account to verify if the email is truthful since the domain is much really likely as the official. And then he confirms that there was nothing wrong with his account and that no other information that's sent to him officially. Just as he did, when someone here receives these threatening and scaring emails from the exchanges that we use, it's better to check the actual website and your account first. And another tip is never to click those attached links that they've got because that's surely the fishiest thing that's part of this scam.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 18, 2023, 08:31:00 AM
I know how it feels to remember the past and how's the feeling there and the fun, joy, and enjoyment that it has brought us. Yeah, too many things have changed due to the evolution of technology that includes the usage of the internet. Change is constant and we can't stop or slow it down. I may not have that much gambling experience but I've also seen those changes as a teen that have become a gambler and saw the traditional games up to the common and modern ones. Let's just enjoy the current one and reminisce the old experiences but that doesn't mean we can't do it anymore.

but anyone can still gamble physically, to have fun with your friends and colleagues. offline casinos are still existent today and i don't think they will be shutting down anytime soon. they are still earning a large percentage of income as compared to online casinos. but we can say, there is indeed growing number of online casinos, fiat-based and crypto casinos and bookies. we are already in the digital age and the pandemic period made a very good path, where online casinos are being appreciated in this business.
Yeah, I didn't say that we can no longer gamble physically. In fact, at the end of my post, I've said that the bold part. Even with the proliferation of online casinos whether they're crypto-supported or not, the industry is too big to ignore and get rid of the physical gambling houses/casinos.
We've been used to that type of gambling and still, there have been gamblers that choose to go there even if it's gonna require them an effort to walk through the establishment unlike by just choosing to gamble at home. The ambiance and setup for both of them are different and that's what's making a gambler choose whatever we like and prefer.
2024  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 18, 2023, 07:21:01 AM
To make myself clear, this thread is not about complaint or confusion. Actually, I am more than fulfilled to chase my financial goals. This question only comes when I stop to think about the deep meaning of finance-free. Whether you are young or old, man or woman, money is what keeps you live and live well in the world. Being financial independent and sufficient is everyone's dream. However, have you thought about the losses in exchange for the material gains ? When you barely make ends meet, you'll bust yourself to make more money; when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring. I wonder the purpose of making money can be easily distorted and sometimes we tend to lose ourselves in pursuit of money, instead of happiness. Just a fleeting thought, no big deal.
One thing that's being forgotten whether you're in a good situation and you're earning well and are already financially free or on the way to it is to become grateful. Someone who's not grateful for their situation won't really find happiness and find themselves very boring. But if you've been there, the hardships and suffering that you've gone through and you're finally blessed with a better situation. You don't forget the past that you've got and the experiences you've gained from it. And to those that are still on their way to this goal, still, be grateful because everything is going to fine and if you've been working hard and smart with whatever you do, you'll be there someday.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 17, 2023, 10:33:08 PM
So it seems like NBA legend Michael Jordan is finally willing to give up his majority ownership of the Charlotte Hornets. Serious talks are ongoing and I would like to see Jordan let go as the majority owner. The team has been failing to perform and is one of the weakest teams in the NBA for over a decade. Maybe the new majority owner can guide the team to success. Now that most NBA teams are capable of competing in the playoffs, the possible new majority owner should be willing to spend more especially since the team now has potential when healthy.

Source: Michael Jordan in talks to sell majority ownerhsip stake in Charlotte Hornets, per report
I've seen that news and the value of the Charlotte Hornets are quite high already. But I am sure that there will be wealthy people that are truly interested in taking major ownership of any of the NBA teams. From what I've heard, there's the Saudi prince who wants to acquire an NBA team before but didn't happen. Maybe he's one of the best prospects of taking the leadership of this team and becoming the new majority owner. After this sale, MJ will still be part of the minority for the ownership of this team so, it's just a wise move for him to do it and take profits out of his investment since 2010.
2026  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: March 17, 2023, 09:18:19 PM
Victims? I don't think that's the right thing to say for anyone who invests in bitcoin and then the effect of the market goes into a bearish form. We're not victims but investors and then before we invest, we should be aware and inform ourselves that the market is highly volatile and anything can happen in split seconds just like what's happening now as it's close and attempting to go through $27k. Every time is a good time to invest if we like to stay in the market for the long term. And the risk remains to be there after we invest so, bear with what you're taking and it won't change whether you invest small or a lot. As with that scene you've given about having $2k worth of bitcoin and then becoming $400 in value, that's certainly a lot of drops but you should do the calculation. It's a ten times drop for bitcoin and I think that's unlikely to happen despite being volatile but yeah, possible.

2028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb token incoming on: March 17, 2023, 03:01:28 PM
Arbitrum just announced that their raindrop is finally coming on the 23rd of march, it's so unfortunate that after spending over a year and half to make transactions on the Arbitrum chain I ended up with zero tokens for a claim, I ready that the total max supply is 10 Billion, way more higher than Optimism total supply, what do you think will be the highest price target for ARB token and what do you think is the good buying point for the token.
How was it became possible that you weren't eligible for their airdrop? You said that you've spent transacting on their chain but you got nothing?
Did you provide them with liquidity as that's one of the main tasks for those that want to be part of their testing? I just saw them from someone on other groups that have posted about this airdrop and it seems that this still doesn't get old. But it's also risky just as what happened to you, it's like those airdrop receivers are like lucky because finding a project like this is hard these days.

What do you think of the OG - Ooredoo Thunders match guys?
OT won against the strong team of Gaimin Gladiators which is considered in this meta as a formidable team. Can't say that it was just luck because it happened in a series that needs two wins.
Well, if you're thinking of betting against OG then this game is worth to be for if you think OT will win against them.

OG seems likely to continue losing, after these matches it is clear that there is a problem.
We're still at week 1 and there will be week 2 and week 3, so it means more games to the game and the last 1 for this week 1 is what we're talking about which is the Ooredoo Thunders.
2030  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 16, 2023, 10:26:01 PM
You haven't damaged your family bond but it was your cousin that did it.

I had a similar bitter experience, only I lent money to a relative and of course he did not return it to me Grin The amount was a little less, but it was enough for me to understand what kind of person he was. Now,when one of the relatives asks to borrow money, I suggest that they take a loan in bank. There are only a few people who deserve my trust.
It did happen to most of us. When they asked us for some money that they want to borrow, they were cool and very kind to us but in times for the collection of their debt. They're the ones who even have the guts to get mad at us because they're still short and didn't fulfill the promise of paying at the right time. Well, there's the saying that if you want to test someone and want to get rid of them, lend them some money.
2031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 16, 2023, 09:17:20 PM
They reached their dreams because they are risk takers and they have strong characters not to be compulsive gamblers and become successful in two fields, it's not easy you need an exceptional character to be a successful gambler, businessman, and philanthropist.

Some of the names that are on the list are people who create fortunes in the gambling industry, they are gamblers who understand that if you want to make it big in the gambling industry, owning a casino or launching a business or something related to gambling is the key because you are the winner here while a gambler is the one struggling to win.
True to that. Being a successful gambler and as well as a businessman really conflicts with both activities. There have been business people that have made their good lives worst because of gambling. But just like these people, if they've made themselves for the betterment of their lives and still kicking asses in gambling, they know what they're driving to and what they've been doing and not to commit a mistake because it's a mind game for them and not to be controlled by being compulsive. There are gamblers also that have that thinking that just one big win and they're out and gonna make a business.
2032  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Android malware targets 13 bitcoin wallets and 400 banks on: March 16, 2023, 08:07:30 PM
SMS and 2 Factor Authentication can also be penetrated, which will be very dangerous.
Many lay people only use smartphones and don't pay attention to what applications are downloaded, and sometimes when visiting some websites or installing game applications, there will be advertisements that download applications automatically, this is very dangerous.
This is too worrying for those typical users that don't check the apps downloaded on their smartphones. Since the number of users has been enormous for these smartphones, they're not just targeting PC users but also everybody through this. That's why for websites whether I access them through a PC or a smartphone, whenever there's some unusual activity as per loading, I close it immediately before it performs a task to download automatically or directs me to that.

I am also an android user and start to be wary when I get news like this. Tried checking some apps and uninstalling useless apps.
Thanks for all the heads up including OP, it's concerning and also made me check if I've got some unknown app that I have downloaded just because of being reckless.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 15, 2023, 10:06:01 PM
I confess that I am not in the habit of reading the TOS of casinos, but I research the reputation of casinos, scam cases, cases of problems with deposits and withdrawals, so when I see that the casino I intend to use has problems with deposits and withdrawals and KYC and when I run to see the TOS, but I don't have the habit of reading the TOS without first doing research on the casino, I know that my defect is not good, but I also don't like to use many casinos at the same time , I prefer to use only stake.com only, because with that I avoid doing KYC in many casinos when stake.com has everything I need
You're not alone, many of us here I guess have that habit that we're not reading the TOS of where we're registering with. I think that's a par thing to do even if we don't read TOS and just sign up immediately but before we sign up, we're doing some research. However, that's still not a reason to avoid reading the TOS just because we've already made research. Actually, it's making me think that research first which is needed to be done, and then reading the TOS if we're decided to sign up and gamble from that casino we're researching. So, it's gotta be a combination of both of it to be not resulting into a mistake.
2034  Other / Off-topic / Re: A burden I bear within. on: March 15, 2023, 08:02:34 PM
It's easier to talk to your brothers and sisters from the same father before proceeding to have a talk with their mothers. With that approach, you probably have a bond already with them and they are much more accepting than the mothers.
But do observe if things have calm down and neutral, if they're all good and like that then pursue what you think is right about having a talk related to bitcoin and if you think that the aura isn't good to proceed then you may just try again sometime in the future.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 15, 2023, 03:45:51 PM
Not only the street gambling that has risk even the online casino gambling is risky, but how we were being able to manage he risk involved matters alot, some gamblers don't actually know what's good for them andhow they will be abke to mage gambling to work in their favour, where you gambles doesn't matyer like how you're being able to think fast when necessary and make perfect application of wisdom as at when needed in gambling.
The risk that you're talking about is different from the actual risk that you'll take if you'll ever try to gamble on the streets. The physical risk is there and it's much more worrying because of what can be done unlike just sitting at home and gambling online. Being present is scarier than what we can think when you'll be surrounded by other gamblers that you don't know if they're with you or if they're there to just watch you around and wait for you to be swindled by them. We may have no idea of what people can do if it's about the money but with all of the news and actual scenes that are happening now, that's giving us the thought that the worst might happen because of it.
2036  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you tell me which one you will choose and why? on: March 15, 2023, 01:30:41 PM
I trust hardware wallet more than my bank account and Binance exchange, but if you are ask to choose between banks and Binance exchange which one do you trust the most? I throw this question to crypto friends around me and they choose Binance exchange.

I wonder why though,  because I feel like banks should be more trusted, my bank for example, has been running for over 20 years and nothing bad happened except, for high charge fees, but my fiat is always in safe hands,  I don't know, maybe I missed something? So I plan to ask on here,  which one would you trust the most and why?
Well, with the banks we can't exchange our crypto holdings whilst with Binance we can use them and exchange our cryptos into fiat. That's my analogy on why I'll choose Binance over a bank if there's really no other choice to make. I do like some of the banks but the fact that they're just really for safe keeping, even if that's the main reason for putting your money there, trust no one. They're all centralized, they can freeze your money anytime as they wish and reason out that you've got a red flag on them.
2037  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: March 14, 2023, 05:56:44 PM
That's quite long if the process will take 2 weeks and I do know your feeling about the period of the process. From what I've read and known before, it differs per user and there's no exact period of time for the process. So those that have been approved within less than a day probably the requests and compliance weren't that much. But despite that, you're in good hands just as you've said with Duelbits. Just keep us updated in here on how long it took.
Duelbits have good reputation when they handle user cases and even with disputes or appeals, if cases are solid, they don't reject to pay users for their win bets or proceed withdrawal for users.

Duelbits have their representative in the forum as well and that user should not feel fearful about lack of support from Duelbits. Wait patiently for the case result.
Yeah, I agree and all of it is true. As we can see, unlike some other casinos that have made their threads but never responded to any concern on their threads, the staff isn't like that here.

Hello, I just want to confirm that KYC and my withdrawal have been processed an hour ago or rather 9 days after the submission
Yes even though it took longer but I understand maybe there is something to check depending on the quality of the identity we provide
That is why every user needs a different time to be processed between 1 day to 14 days, thanks Duelbits Wink
The Duelbits support has replied to you here and they're making sure that it won't happen again. There's the reason that it was just a miscomm on their end. Still with what happened to you, you've never lose your faith on them. Thanks for updating everybody in here.
2038  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You and Your Bitcoin Dreams - My Two Cents on: March 14, 2023, 12:10:21 PM
How much knowledge do you need to achieve your Bitcoin goals in 2023? My answer is just enough knowledge to get you started. You will figure the rest out on the way because as someone rightly said, you cannot learn how to drive in a parked car. As a newbie getting knowledge of Bitcoin is as important as where you are getting the knowledge. So, look in the right place. Also,  your time is important do not waste it on some dumb stuff of temporary value. In your quest for knowledge, avoid procrastinating. Lastly, remember that with Bitcoin, where you live doesn't determine how much you'll make. Take action and take it now.
Understanding the actual goal like learning stuff and beginning with knowing about cryptocurrencies and having the aim to own a bitcoin starts from having the little that you've got whether it's knowledge or capital, you'll get to play that part until you initiate.
Most goals do require some financing and that's why even if knowledge is there but you haven't that much money to make and to start with, that goal will remain to be one of your lists until it happens. With whatever resources that you have, it's best to use them and maximize like that stuff that we can read from the forum and other websites that can be helpful for a newbie that's starting out his bitcoin journey.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 14, 2023, 10:01:26 AM
I've one time played on a casino that doesn't permit one user to handle more than 1 account, it was understandable since their benefits was highly favourable.

I think that kind of casino would also kick anyone with dual SIM out perhaps with the notion that you're going against the rules
The majority of the casinos have that rule on how many accounts a user should have on their platforms. I think if you've got plans of having another account on them, it's best to communicate with the support and ask that personally although it could be visible on their TOS.
And having that confirmation from them alone will give you proof if it's supported or not by that casino. If you're just playing by their rule, obviously, you'll get the answer that it's not allowed. However, there could also some consideration if you tell them that you've got a valid reason for that.
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUSD Future on: March 14, 2023, 08:30:44 AM
If you're a typical day trader then you want to take its benefits from having your fund on their exchange through BUSD. But with the series of depegging that has happened with other stablecoins, it's good to be aware of anything possible to happen.
In my perspective, if you're keeping your fund mostly in BUSD and you've got a reason for that then you just have to make sure that you can get out of the kitchen ASAP when you feel the heat is starting to burn the entire area. If you get what I mean, that has something to do being diligent in every situation that's happening in the crypto market and not just only with this concern against Binance/Paxos/BUSD.
