^  Yup...  It's almost like they don't have an identity if you watch how they play.  I'm a Gerrard fan and I like that he was loyal to Liverpool during his playing days.  But seeing him as manager and how his Villa squad plays like is a good thing because it almost felt like he's the next in line to be LFC manager after Klopp.  They dodged a bullet there imho.

Anyway, I'm close to giving up.  It's getting closer to a point where making my predictions at Superbru is starting to be a waste of time.  Good luck to the guys at the top.

Who knows what Gerrard can bring to Liverpool? As an ex player I am sure his motivation to managing Liverpool would be at least several times higher than managing Aston Villa, for him Aston Villa was a learning experience which lasted as it lasted but a few things I am sure Gerrard has learned there.

In fact I would like to see someone from Liverpool managing the team, and I would not be sad if Gerrard took over,I think Klopp era has ended in the sense that he has got nothing more to give to the club, for this year this comes especially more true than ever.

Dunno man...  From what he showed being Aston Villa manager, I don't think the Liverpool brass would even give him a look if 'Klopp's era' is really at an end.  Gerrard just isn't the kind of guy who could take Liverpool and outdo what Klopp has recently done for the club.  I think it's gonna be something like Dalglish's time at the club.  Full of hope but an empty trophy cabinet.  He won't last two years imho.

Edit:  Nottingham - Liverpool still 0 - 0 at HT.  VVD anytime goal scorer at 10.25 live.  Wink

Rare day to see both Liverpool and City in the picks, this week, and I know Salah hasn't been up to his usual form lately, but I still feel like he's always going to get on the scoreboard (not to mention we haven't had a penalty in such a long time).

Salah + Haaland, impossible to ignore as part of our MajSev picks, right?

Yeah both of those guys are usually my staple but Salah hasn't really been himself lately...  So I pick Nunez this time and of course he isn't in the line up.  Lolol.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

And I'm looking at the score at Flash Score right now and it's still nil - nil and it's almost close to HT.  I think it's Firminho who's gonna get one in.  :/

These are my picks just for the sake of showing them.

Nunez
Zaha
Haaland
Toney Mitrovic
Jesus
Bowen

...  Players most likely to score.

Muhammad Mokaev VS Malcolm Gordon

The stake odds for this fight are 1.09 for Mokaev and 9.80 for Gordon, Malcolm Gordon surely has unusual records, but for me, I think Muhammad Mokaev has a high advantage on the ground, that is why he was called Mini Khabib, so obviously I am going with Muhammad Mokaev,

I saw a couple of guys itt asking what other match ups are good to watch for 280.  I think After the main event, the co main event, Yan vs O'Malley and Dariush vs Gamrot...  Mokaev should def be in the list.  And with line for the under 1.5 rounds being at 1.74, I think that's good value.  I have a strong feeling Mokaev will finish Gordon in under a minute.

Anyway, the event will start way earlier than usual as it's in the Mid East...  Around 4 hours or so from now.  I am stoked!

Dillashaw def has the experience edge.  He's fought a lot of top tier fighters before he got busted for EPO.  Lol.  But still...
Nobody is talking about Abubakar Nurmagomedov, I think this is best sure bet on this fight card.
I would rather place a bet on Nurmagomedov win than on Aljamain Sterling, and odds are almost the same.
One thing that concerns me is how all fighters will get used to Abu Dhabi climate and time change, so I need to take this into calculations.

This was one intense faceoffs or nose off for Oliveira and Islam Makhachev, and I heard Oliveira later saying in his language that he is going to kill this guy Smiley
I wasn't this excited for some UFC event for a long time, and this one is doing me good, and I hope to see good fights from AbuDhabi.

I feel like Dillashaw has the edge over Sterling.  Dillashaw has way more experience, better wrestling and better striking than most if not all of Sterling's opponents thus far.  Dillashaw is a wily vet who has a trick or two up his sleeve.  The line is pretty close to value at 2.43.  I mean who would bet for Sterling at 1.56?  Lol.  It's hard to trust him at that line.
I feel the same but maybe I just don't like Sterling at all and I am not being objective enough towards him.
Maybe the reason is his Oscar acting performance that gave him his first title against Petr Yan, but since than I have no respect for him.
I know he won against Petr Yan again this year, but Dillashaw is not going to be easy fight for him and I am sure he will lost some rounds.
Sterling has a reach advantage but he wins his fights mostly by decisions, and Dillashaw has a much better KO and TKO record.

Yeah..  It's funny he was still getting boo'd by a lot of people during the pre fight press conference.  Cheesy  But I'm talking mostly about line value here and from a betting perspective.  I haven't checked the latest line yet but would you put money on Sterling at 1.50 - 1.60 odds?  Too steep imho.  And they're both wrestlers and Dillashaw could very may well gave the edge in the striking department.

Dillashaw def has the experience edge.  He's fought a lot of top tier fighters before he got busted for EPO.  Lol.  But still...

It is reported that Romelo Lukaku has returned to training after a long muscle injury but he returned to training to prepare for the start of the Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen. I hope Lukaku can appear again and play an important role for Inter Milan in the future.

But there are other rumors about Lukaku who will be terminated on loan is it possible because he is often injured so that his declining performance makes the coaches reluctant to extend his contract on loan?
But it is said Inter & Chelsea they will decide next season about Lukaku's future.

For the wages the clubs pay him, esp in the EPL, he's so overrated.  He was hyped to be 'the next Droba' when Andre Villas Boas acquired him to be the spearhead of the attack in Chelsea years ago.  He was only 19 that time but he turned out to be a flop.  He's levels lower than Drogba.  He's good if he can bully the defenders which he can mostly do outside the EPL.  But in the EPL...?  He looks heavy footed and clutsy.

Finally, this thread is so alive, that we have few pages of only Makhachev vs Olivera prediction Cheesy While few people care about Aljo vs Dillashaw fight. And I will remind, that it is going to be a title fight. Funny that no one is really that much interested in title fight, like it is women title fight Cheesy Dillashaw has already been UFC bantamweight champion two times and has a chance to become a champion for the third time. Anyone remember a fighter, that has been a champion three times ? I think Randy Couture was the only one who was UFC champ three times, while there are less than 10 (maybe) fighters who were UFC champtions twice in their career.

Anyway the pre fight press conference was just a few minutes ago...  Enjoy.

^  Mmm..  Would it be possible that the BTC market's reaction is currently lagging behind the world economy right now?  Like there's a group of holders out there who think it's the bottom and they're all hopeful that it's all going up from here on out sooner or later...  In other words there's a group of holders out there that hasn't capitulated yet and when they do, it would be the perfect time to get in.

What does everybody think?  I look at the chart and it seems like 17k - 18k is bought up then nothing.  Those buyers could be getting worried atm as there's not a whole lot of other buyers getting in with them.  And with the whole economy everywhere going in a bad spot too.
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2022, 02:02:50 PM
A new Ballon d'Or has been awarded to Karim Benzema. The article I read has made me fall in love with this man. It is impossible to measure the level of sportsmanship and dedication he showed to his team. Because undergoing surgery would leave him out of action for two months, he has been serving his team with a fractured little finger. This shows his determination to reach his dreams, and finally he was awarded the Ballon d'Or.

I can totally remember how barely Benzema used to score for Real Madrid during the time when he took the lead. Even just before the season Ronaldo left, he only scored 5 goals. It is worth mentioning that Benzema was happy to be a sideman for Ronaldo while CR7 was on the team since CR7 had the main responsibility for scoring goals for the team, which fell to him.

Upon his departure, Karin stepped into that position, and my God, what an amazing job he has done with it!! He scored 27 goals in the league the following season after CR7 left, and since then he has been one of the most consistent goal scorers in the entire continent, and this Ballon d Or was well deserved for him

Yeah...  Not even the high profile signings of Bale and Eden Hazard could make a dent on Benzema as the top guy at Real Madrid post Ronaldo.  But with Bale, it's prolly just wrong timing as Ronaldo was still in the club when Bale arrived.  And Ronaldo was somewhat still in top form then.  With Hazard...  No excuse.  He came in over weight and fat that summer and was never able to get back to the way he was at Chelsea.  What a waste...  The way he played, I really thought he was going to be like another Ronaldo.

What a bore fest in Premier League tonight. Don't remember when was the last time we had so little goals in a match day. Most of the games finishing 1:0 and only United looking like they actually want to score. Could have been even bigger win for them tonight. Spurs looking really bad and they can only than Lloris for being just 2:0 down.

My tickets in shambles of course, as expected when both to score fails as miserably as today.

Heh yeah...  It's the midweek, playing at night and the managers and their squads have to think about the next set of fixtures in the next couple or so days at the weekend.  Not good...  A footballer's life isn't that glamorous if you look more closely to it esp in times like these.  :/

I've learned not to bet these matches through the years.  Better for your wallet in the long run.

And speaking of wallets, thanks Hhampuz...  You saved me from a making a losing ticket with Arsenal and BTTS combo.  Smiley

^  Depends how Perez does at quali.  He's not really that good at quali that it costs him a podium almost every GP.  It's far from Hamilton - Bottas or from back in the day Schumacher - Barrichello.  If anything I like Leclerc and if some sht happens on the track during the race, I think Hamilton and Sainz could win the race.  But overall, it's prolly going to be smooth sailing for Verstappen.  'What did we expect' would be our reaction.  Lol.
2053  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 19, 2022, 02:48:04 PM
There are too many people who are afraid of price being lowering that fast,
Are there really?

Whenever we see someone talk about price drop there are two reasons for it.
First are those newbies who bought bitcoin (and are still holding it) and are worried about it dumping (or dying) because they read some FUD so they are afraid of the price drop and it is visible in what they say. These people are known as weak hands.

Second are those who have already sold their bitcoins and are hoping for the price to drop more so that they can buy more bitcoin with the fiat they are bagholding. When they talk about being "afraid of price drop" they are pretending and are telling others their wishes.

We currently have more of the second group than the first.

So if the market really has more noobs and more people hoping for another drop...  Does that mean you think that there are more chances for BTC of starting to trend up than continue trending down from here on out?  Have we really now hit the bottom?

If so, how confident are you that BTC is now at the bottom?  Say around 70% confident that BTC is at the bottom?

Anyway, I think I know my next poll for November if BTC still stays in a tight range.

Congrats to the Liverpool fans and to the degens who had the balls to take Liverpool.

I'd take the loss if we'd won every other game, tbh. But yeah, this game means a lot to us.

Seriously though, are we taking Arsenal seriously enough? Beat Liverpool, Leicester and Spurs, okay lost to United, City have only beaten... who else in Top 6 contenders besides United?

It's more than a lot with how bad Liverpool's run is this season.  It's really the morale boost Klopp and the squad really needed.  Hopefully a good run comes out of it.  Not a Liverpool fan but I like Klopp.

Arsenal is a contender for the title.  I'd like to see them go against City now.  The master vs the apprentice.  Wink  And if there's a manager already ear marked by Guardiola to replace him it's Arteta. That much we know.  I'd be surprised if it isn't Arteta.
2055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 19, 2022, 02:08:33 PM

Surely this fight has brought great hype to the industry of UFC where the fight is the most awaited fight this month surely this will not be an easy fight for both of them and that's why it would be a pleasure to witness this history. I just want to watch this one live on stream and will not gonna blink because anything could happen because of missed calculations by both fighters. when we looked at social media today, it seems like the majority of the fans are rooting for Charles and I'm sure most of them know the real deal will happen inside the cage and it's a few days more left.

Charles Oliveira could be at a disadvantage with Islam Makhachev, but his determination of Oliveira and going to the length to train wrestling is really assuring that he surely got a plan installed for Makhachev and I really want to see that, I really don't want to see a one-sided fight that is why I would like to see Charles Oliveira get on with it with Islam Makhachev, but I like Makhachev to be victorious in their fight, but I am still not sure who's really going to win,

Stacked!  I love all the match ups except for just a couple of fights.  That's how good it is...  Excited to see Mokaev back in the cage again.  But I feel for Malcom Gordon tho.  Why do the match makers have to do him like that?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  He is dead in this match.

The main card is a must watch from start to finish.  All the match ups are good and some of those underdogs could steal the W.  Oliviera, Dariush and Dillashaw could make it too close for comfort for Makhachev, Gamrot and Sterling bettors.

Anyway here's the countdown vid.  Enjoy!

UFC 280:  Countdown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrBKzNkxpsI

It was a jam-packed event and If I could get a bet on every one of them, I think 2 to 3 fights were the ones that I don't like, but most of it was a good one, for me, I will be taking a great meal and snack and a big gulp just for this event when I watch it, getting a better view as well we can not get this good of an event, a better match up is surely the main event for me I really can't say who's really going to win Makhachev is likely dominant on the ground, but Oliveira is a smart one that could plan a better idea in winning against Islam,

Same...  I'm back and forth between them.  I kinda felt like it's Oliveira a week ago then it was Makhachev when I made my picks for the Multi Master.  Lol.  The thing is, yeah Makhachev hasn't fought an elite grappler before like Oliveira but then again watch Makhachev's last three matches.  He def improved his wrestling.  He's like getting better than Khabib or at least he's looking like he's getting better.

As a pick I'll take Makhachev but if Oliveira's line goes over 3, I'll take him as a bet.  So it either goes money piles in on Oliveira, I take me some Makhachev hopefully around 1.60 or the money piles in on Makhachev then I take Oliveira if it goes over 3.00.

With the Circuit of the Americas having a decent amount of straights, it's pretty much Red Bull's race.  The books have Verstappen at 1.45.  Lol.  Rarely have I seen the books so confident in a driver by giving him such a line before quali that's devoid of any value.  It's Leclerc next at 7.20 and interestingly Hamilton at third at 8.25.  :/

^  As I've already said, yeah it's gonna be exactly that.  'Why isn't the line skewed towards Makhachev?'.  But then again after the event we could be saying 'wtf were we expecting?  Of course Makhachev wins.'.  Lol.  From a Multi Master perspective I'm picking Makhachev.  But with the event held at Abu Dhabi, Khabib's contingent could get huge backing over there as they're huge Khabib fans.  They'll prolly be betting heavy on Makhachev and cause the line to move last minute, making Oliveira's line go way up in value.  Anything close to and over 3.00 would be tempting.

Anyway here's the Multi Master.  Good luck.

^  Yeah, I don't really follow international football much but having somethng new would be great.  I'm kinda getting bored with football again.  I'll prolly take up something new like curling.  Cheesy

And I forgot to make my picks for this round.  But if I had made my picks it would be Toney, Vardy, Pereira, maybe Costa, Ronaldo, Adams and Jesus.  If that's the winning ticket then fk me.

@tokeweed why would you select Vardy as Leicester player’s have forgotten how to score this season, and now we’ll be seeing too many matches due to the World Cup so make sure you’ll keep an eye on fresh injuries and suspensions before selecting your picks. Furthermore Ronaldo did score last time round, but I’m not sure if he can get on the scoring sheet again because currently he’s being used to draw the defenders away so other player’s can score from his passes.

I just pick Vardy for Leicester because I have no idea how they're playing this season.  Lol.  I know it's the worst since they got promoted but I haven't really been following the EPL as much as I used to.  It's mostly the UFC for me as of late.

And you know...  Ronaldo and Vardy seems like the obvious picks for every match say if they're in the line up.  I'm like a noob these days.  I still do have a bit of an idea of what's going on tho.
No matter who you picked when they played 0:0 Smiley

Go make your Majestic 7 picks guys, I am sure there is some of you unaware that next match day starts tomorrow, so not much time left. Games look quite ok, I have gone with all the penalty takers from the home sides. Keeping fingers crossed for some stupid challenges inside the box Smiley

Lol yup.  So for their next match vs Leeds I'm picking Rodrigo to get one in.  Cheesy  Leicester really looks so deep in a rut this season.  But it's surprising that the club has decided to keep Brendan Rodgers around for this long.  I thought they'd go into damage control mode and get the most touted manager who saves clubs from relegation:  Sam Allardyce.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  If they're gonna do it, they better do it early.  They can't afford to wait til December.

My picks for the Majestic 7 are the usual suspects...

Trossard
Adams
Zaha
Mount
Wilson
Mitrovic
Rodrigo
