Hey guys, any news about listing MoneroV soon?

The MoneroV fork is not supported by Cryptopia and currently there are no plans to list it.

Users wanting to take advantage of the fork should withdraw their funds to their personal wallets prior to the fork.
It is advisable to withdraw early to prevent getting stuck in network congestion.

Users should be wary of the security risks involved in this fork. https://www.ccn.com/is-monerov-a-legitimate-hard-fork-of-monero/

The MoneroV team is anonymous, which limits the trust in MoneroV leadership. MoneroV requires Monero holders’ private keys to receive tokens from the airdrop, leaving many to question the safety and privacy of MoneroV’s launch.  MoneroV has recommended solutions to these risks, but many are convinced these issues should not have arisen in the first place. While the MoneroV project is open-source, the MoneroV wallet is not, meaning the wallet source code cannot be audited prior to launch.

Does Cryptopia support Forks, Airdrops or Swaps?

Cryptopia do not typically support forks, airdrops, or coin swaps currently (unless stated otherwise) due to the inherent risks. We recommend that users withdraw their coins from the exchange if they wish to participate in these types of coin events.

So I have finally received my bytebal deposit after 20 days it was broadcasted and finally my ticket has been closed.
But now I am reluctant in sending my byteballs from cryptopia as the wallet status for bytebal says that it has 0 nodes connected , so I am afraid that my transaction will get stuck again.

The price of byteballs has also dropped down suddenly on cryptopia after the deposit issue was resolved. I hope it gets on par with other exchanges with time.
Can someone confirm if he is able to successfully withdraw byteballs from cryptopia?
I don't want to sell by bytes and them withdraw the! I want to hold.

Regardless of how much I trust Cryptopia and love the exchange. It is not advisable to keep your crypto on any exchange if you are planning to HODL. The safest place for Crypto is in a private wallet where you have your own private keys.

Either an offiline generated paper wallet, Multisig wallet, Ledger / Trezor hardware wallet or dedicated Raspberry Pi wallet that is kept offline.

Is the Craptopia API totally broken??

Note that we are making a change to our Public API today.
Users who use the Public API can review what is changing via the change log at the top of the Public API Documentation.
We are currently reviewing our Public and Private API process and will announce a number of improvements as they are made.

Hi lafu. Trading activity is hampered because of a buggy system. When I place buy or sell orders, I get error messages and the buy/sell order I make won’t show on my list of open orders. When I request for a withdrawal, I get errors too, and email verification wont send.

Can you tell how soon, like an estimate maybe on when everything should be running smoothly? Thanks.

Yes - the GUI is quite laggy at the moment. It makes trading quite a painful process. They are working really hard at resolving the problems. They were nursing it throught the issues at one stage. They have identified a number of issues and working very hard to resolve it. I was chatting with one of the devs there and they have a big crew working on it.  Unfortunately no ETA at the moment.

For a number of months they have been working on a longterm solution as well but it is not quite ready for implementation. When I visited their offices in February while I was on holiday I was quite impressed with the amount of development they were working on. A lot of resources are being put towards further improvements.

Email issues are usually caused by the email providers blocking or delaying them. Gmail and Protonmail rarely have issues with Cryptopia.

(Also, you should check the forum- a full page of spam threads!!)

Currently between 1000 and 5000 spam posts a day get removed. It isn't just a one click process and because the user accounts get locked there is a reporting process to follow.

Is the Craptopia API totally broken??

I believe the GUI issues are due to either malicious or badly programmed BOT activity. (My personal opinion)

They are currently making changes to the API

I said I would be fair and post when the issue is resolved...It has been. I will not be coming back to Cryptopia and this was an extremely horrible experience. I am still going to continue with the Blackmail though. BUT my money is here. The question is, did Lafu really make this last longer then it should have....Guess we shall see....

Yeah I guess there are always people who are ungrateful for help and vengeful for issue that takes time to resolve. When I checked with an admin they couldn't process your issue because the wallet was still having issues. Your support request had been queued with the wallet dev and Lafu had already contacted an admin to try and resolve it. I also found out that you had send more abuse than what you disclosed on here.

I am still going to continue with the Blackmail though.

I didn't expect you to admit it so publicly.

I really don't understand what these issues are.

Is the cryptopia byteball wallet issue one of these? How many days do you need to investigate the pending deposits at cryptopia?

Also once you theoretically remove all "your" issues, will we be able to see pur bytebal in our wallets?

The issues that the notice that Lafu posted was talking about are the site lag of the GUI visual representation for web interface users. Lafu often reposts official announcements on here because there are no Cryptopia staff on bitcointalk.

I understand that you have had some issues with Byteball deposits or withdrawals being credited to your account. That is an issue that only affects that coin and is not what that notice was about.

Some wallet have had issues and *usually the issue is with the wallet itself. A lot of wallets have trouble handling the extreme amount of transactions an public keys that exchange wallets hold. As more people start using crypto these problems tend to surface. Sometimes it is the wallets themselves while other times it is the way they interfce with the deposit and withdrawal engines of the exchange.

Some coins have resolve those issues by building enterprise quality wallets that are made to handle exchange volumes.

Some coins have more wallet issues than others. Unfortunately Byteball has more than most. This is not necessarily are reflection or Byteball or Cryptopia. Crypto is still experimental and Technical problems can happen.

It is likely that when the issues are resolved the users with issues will will have those issues resolved in bulk.

Please note that neither myself or Lafu are staff at Cryptopia. We are only volunteer chat moderators.

Cryptopia does not provide support through bitcointalk - their staff are rarely on here.

Official support is through https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Support and here https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm
If you get a error message - please log out and log back in again.
2090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: May 09, 2018, 02:54:10 AM
You know, out of all the Bitmain products I have had, I have never had a DOA miner, I have never had one crap out while using it.

All in all, I have been very happy with my miners.  I have had worse luck with GPUs then Antminers.

Often there is a certain amount of luck involved as well.

There were whole batches of S9s that had serious issues with the chips burning out. (not overclocking)

When you have a warranty break down or have a DOA then my experience is that they really don't want to know you.
2091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: May 09, 2018, 02:48:19 AM
wow if zcash forks too. I am surprised. Maybe a new asic manufacturer wont even sell asics. They will just develop it and use it to take over a gpu coin network. Only a small chance for this to occur though.

Some asic companies now only make products for their own mining farms. https://news.bitcoin.com/bitfury-is-building-the-largest-bitcoin-mining-operation-in-north-america/ Bitfury almost exclusively make their Asics for their mining farms.
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: May 09, 2018, 02:28:20 AM
I don't think I'll ever buy another bitmain product.

Poor quality control. 1 out of 5 miners I received had a serious issue on receipt.

They mucked me around over a wire transfer saying they never received it. $40 in bank fees later proved it to be a lie.

Asicboost, their backdoor and support for Bcash make them look dodgy.

My account details got hacked when their entire database got hacked and now I get calls from a scam company supposebly in the UK
(The details the scam company knows were only used on bitmain)

They wouldn't let me access my account without proof of identity - do I really want to give more info to a company that can't keep my data safe ?

Centralised control. Bitmain, Hashnest and Antpool have far too much control over the bitcoin network.

Innosilicon products might be dearer but are far superior in quality.

Cryptopia staff don't read bitcointalk. You need to make a support ticket.
But i can't create a support ticket although i don't have an open ticket.

Can you log in ?

If the support centre gives an error - log out and log back in. Your session token for the subdomain will have expired.

Pretty sad man. I have a reason to be here, whats your excuse. You really do make Cryptopia look like the pinnacle of stupidity. I love this.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I'm here to help others in my own spare time. You however are beyond my help because you don't read my posts and according to you - are ignoring me. All the required info has already been posted.
2095  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: May 09, 2018, 12:34:16 AM
Cryptopia, please fix your support ticket function.  I have three withdrawals that haven't come through.
Log out and log back on. Your session token for the help subdomain will have expired.

Lafu...For your own sake...You should tell your dipstick friend to stop posting. He is not helping you at all.

Lafu is ignoring you. Not your type of ignoring. Really ignoring - oxford dictionary style. Because despite him trying to help. Which he doesn't have to do because he is only a volunteer chat moderator. It is not his job. He is just a big hearted guy. that likes helping people. He isnt customer service. He is an independent software developer that gives his spare time to helping others. Instead of asking for his help politely you taunted and abused him. That is the type of guy you are.
2098  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: May 08, 2018, 11:57:10 PM
^ like clockwork. Too bad hes ignored haha. He really just needs to stop. For someone who doesn't work there, he is really desperate to defend this exchange. We knew that though. With his garbage article he tried to push earlier.
hahaha yeah right. This is called "ignoring". Lalalala you can't hear me....lol  You are trying to silence me so you don't have to respond to any of the facts that I have provided. I demolished your entire diatribe. Guess what. Bullying or abuse or "ignoring" but replying won't make me go away.  You have not made a single sensible response to my breakdown of your "claims". You are frustrated that you can't use your bully tactics.
2099  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: May 08, 2018, 11:41:34 PM

He still trying to defend this non sense? lol...He really does need help.

Still waiting on your apology for blackmail Lafu. Or are you just going to be what we all think you are.

What a surprise. Same demands and same abuse from the sockpuppet accounts that both said wouldn't reply to my comments anymore - yet keep replying.  People are not stupid. They can make up their own minds how they are related. All the accusations and questions in your post have been previously answered or debunked.  Making the same unfounded claims to discredit a company that is trying to solve your technical issues to get your way is paramount to blackmail.

Leviar wallet on Cryptopia has had ongoing issues and is currently in maintenance. It is hard to fix something for a customer when the wallet made by the leviar coin dev keeps misbehaving.   Btw if you are going to blank out your username on a screenshot it would make more sense if you blank them all out.
2100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: May 08, 2018, 02:26:20 PM

I would highly recommend asking any other exchange, I believe Poloniex is about to sink as myself and many others on the forum are not able to withdraw due to bugs in their system.
It has been "only" 14 days for me, but for some it has been months.

Poloniex has had long support times before and got through it. It comes with the territory. Exchanges are seeing record volumes and crypto is not yet very reliable.

https://news.bitcoin.com/cryptocurrency-exchange-poloniex-bought-circle/ They are not likely to sink.
