That being said - they were the first exchange to have an issue and immediately be not only transparent about it, but also to give the details
This is good, HOWEVER he also received strong warnings from several respected members, pointing out how he was clearly clueless about what he was doing, and he completely ignored them. Even if he's not actively scamming you, he'll most likely be brought down by "the next big break". It's only a matter of time. That's hearsay unless you can provide links to comments. Anyone can claim "he was warned!" Just to make him look bad. But that's disingenuous without links to back that up. He cannot disprove a negative. It's on you to show that it happened. I'm a customer, after the hack, and while I think the interface is ugly, I've had no problems. After the hack, he was warned in this thread about some of his practices and (lack of) knowledge. While I do not think he publicly stated one way or the other if he was hiring programmers, I doubt that he ignored the people who spoke with him on the issue. I don't see it as a huge issue, as long as he HAS implemented better security. That being said, I never leave much in an exchange unless I'm actively trading. It just seems unwise.

Hi to You all!
I'm having problems syncing my Zimstake Wallet v1.0.1.0 today. The sync is stuck on 7121 block, and can't move forward, therefore I cant get my paymants. Could someone help?
Thx
I had the same problem yesterday. I deleted everything but wallet.dat and the .conf file, and it synch'd up fine the second go.

MY USERNAME IS JELIN1984
AND MY ADRESS IS THAT SENT ME ASAP MY COINS
EFyrACjr9SQAyfxBYLn3h6QptcsLu4nZV6
Ok buddy, your trying to scam. BEWARE OTHER POOL OPERATORS. Busted, I have proof I sent you your coins this morning. I sent your balance of 9670 this morning, as I told you in the PM. And now you try to scam me for more coins.... A big FUCK YOU sir. Suck a dick! Block chain don't lie, but your scamming ass does. That is your wallet, as pulled from your account. There is the transaction sent to you buddy. april 30, 2014, 12:44:54 utc 9670.00000000 zs received http://coinia.net/zimstake/blockexplorer.php?q=EFyrACjr9SQAyfxBYLn3h6QptcsLu4nZV6I WOUNDER HOW MANY OF THOSE OTHER DEPOSITS YOU SCAMMED FROM THE OTHER POOL OPERATORS? Little fucking bitch. So sick and tired of all you scammers in this crypto world. Give it up already, your not going to get rich. If you truly where not scamming and you deleted your wallet or made a dumb move on your part. Then I will edit this post and not say your scammer. But prove to me first what your issue is because I just proved to you that I sent them. I've interacted with him for quite some time. I doubt he's deliberately scamming. He does tend to have "instant result syndrome", though. As soon as it gets fixed, on his end or yours, he'll be all smiles again. I'm not vouching for him, just speaking from observation and experience.

Only one pool is finding blocks, and the wallet moves slower than a glacier.
Well, that's not true - there's 4 major pools, with 1gh clearly being the biggest; ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FD7zef5ot.png&t=663&c=rWoJky7Md73Fug) (click for large) Were you going to mine with the client, though? I'd imagine the external miners would be more efficient - and you wouldn't have to worry about how far the client has synced. I mined at 1GH. Tried several others. I was using a rental. I generated an address with the client for payout. I shut it off after about 9 hours of it jacking up my bandwidth to download something like 100 blocks. If there isn't a blockchain download, then I'm just out 27 coins. If the client is this slow to sync, after just a few months, then I can't see any reason why I would mine it again. It's profitablity is highly variable. It could easily become valueless before the client syncs. I should have known when the official website was not available, and I had to search the internet like crazy to find a viable download. Lesson learned.

MaxCoin's very low confirmation times means there's a metric crapton that you may have to catch up on. I was working on some graphs off and on, and libre definitely isn't enjoying loading that many data points.
Is there a download of the blockchain someplace? But is it syncing or it got stucked?? Before I gave up and just decided that I lost the day's mining, it was synching. About a block every five minutes, from a fresh install. Only one pool is finding blocks, and the wallet moves slower than a glacier. Great job on this one, Max.

does this thing EVER synch? It's been at 10 weeks behind for seven hours. It's slowly loading a block here and there... 10 connections, too.

Luke and Wizkid is the same person.
Err..no. I dunno. Ever seen them in the one room at the same time? Me neither. In fact Luke-Jr, Wizkid, Inaba, eleuthria could all be the same person, since I've never seen them together in one room before either. Or Satoshi. Or you, Luke-Jr- er I mean HellDiverUK. Don't you dare put me in the same room as Inaba! Even if there's a pizza I won't do it! What about a gun? ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

I'm very confused. I know raskul, and I'm sure he's not got the coding expertise to hack a blockchain. I certainly don't, so I won't even speculate as to how it's done. So how is it that y'all are getting different results?

All those POS coins are doing pretty well. If we just stop adding new coins then the price most go out and you create a shortes of coins.
yes indeed to many coins being generated for the current demand. I think the supply should be halved asap. Would like to hear the opinion from the dev team about this (earthcoin account) What are the pros and cons I'm working on a writeup on that very subject. I will have it under the news thread before the week is out. There are a lot of things about the concept of this coin that seem to not be well iterated to the public. I'm trying to fix that. It will be a fairly long post. And yes, I'll post it under the earthcoin account. still waiting for the writeup ... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Sorry for the delay. I"ve had to deal with a number of personal emergencies and a computer crash over the last few days. I've barely had time to think, let alone write. I haven't forgotten, but I did forget to update everyone as to the delay. In the meanwhile, TamB has been taking up a lot of my slack. Thanks! I will be much more active shortly, and yes, I'm still working on the article.

still, the fact that there is a 40% interest rate should imply more sells, compounding effect will be huge if you hold for let's say a year... the thing is if you want to invest big and get returns every month,it's hard. how much is market cap? 679858.734603*current exchange rate huge = 6434% i used to have a nice simple calc link, this one works but isn't as clear http://www.csgnetwork.com/interestcomplexsavcalc.htmlNice. I been using this one as it gives many fine details: http://www.webmath.com/compinterest.htmlI probably just missed it, but how does the compounding period work? Is it every thirty days, or is it thirty days initially, then a different timeframe after the coins are mature? Also, I still could really use a step by step guide to compiling linux wallets. Not just this one ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Linux is a bit confusing for the newbie. Ok, a lot confusing. But still, I've about had it with the "improvements" to Windows.

WEP is cracked easily because of its lower mathematical crackability, not because of new math.
WPA/2 can be cracked in under 30 minutes for similar reasons, but mainly because they found new ways to extract a good portion of the key as its in the air, putting them ahead of the game. With part of the solution in your hand, of course that helps.
More hashpower speeds things up for both. It's real easy to say "oh yeah I wont follow this thread" because you have no response. You were asked, and had nothing.
"new math" really?
Sounds like "Washington Math" to me. 1+1=<insert current FED bullshit> His argument might have made sense if the base of the whole thing wasn't already a mathematical equation. Or if he'd been lucid.

I'm going to keep my coins. Gonna try to withdraw the few hundred I have in exchanges, and hold on to them. The wallet appears to be working correctly, now, and I figure in time the premine will be diluted to the point that it don't matter. Or matters little at least. So I figure, what the hell? At worst it's taking up a bit of hard drive space at this point. Let's see where it's at in six months. Meanwhile, someone suggested a hard fork that would invalidate the coins mined in the genesis block. I think that is worthy of consideration, at least. I don't know that it's possible. Not good enough at code ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) But if it is, why not? Then CryptoGir's work would not have been in vain. Meanwhile, I'll follow his coins, see what's up with them. If nothing else, we got an interesting, entertaining, and apparently quite competent developer out of this debacle. Could be worse.

I dunno. I'd like to try this. But I don't think it will work on the PoS side for me. Sorry, but the music has to be heavy metal. Can't do smooth Jazz! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Humour aside. What the hell, I'll probably have a go. Looking forward for your more serious endeavor.

do we have a multipool?
Not yet, we have one planned. A stable wallet release is my first priority right now. Working great on my side! Now, about that donation link...?

I also just signed up for the service. How long does it take for them to activate?
A few minutes usually. They say up to 12 hours. I don't know how automated it is ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Here we go. New wallet just finished synching. Since this is the first POS coin I've messed with, other than TEK which to date I've only mined and traded (holding some now ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ), I don't know if what I'm about to describe is proper behaviour. First, the things that definitely worked right. Synch was a bit slow, but never hung and went up just fine all the way to parity. No trouble at all, and the slow is probably because this computer is on a wifi connection while my main machine is being fixed. The wallet is much cleaner than the old one, and the little "stake" indicator at the bottom right is very cool. Now, the part I'm not sure of. I think it's all good, but due to lack of experience I'm throwin' it up to the crowd ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) As everything synched, I got a few "mining" payouts that were clearly stake. the little staking arrow thing turned silver again, and all my coins went into stake except for the few unconfirmed from staking. It now says "not stakeing because you do not have mature coins" and every bit is in stake. To my inexperienced eyes this looks like victory. To those who know: Is the above the proper function? If it is, I say we have a coin again ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

this looks promising. I hope to discuss further developments with our Dev regarding the next step for SHACoin. I am busy all this week but hope we can, together present to the community; the long awaited ShaCoin Minting Society.
I've a good feeling about this latest release, once it's been tested and proved to work OK, WATCH THIS SPACE!
Seems to work perfectly for now, but more people are needed. Got the link from raskul. Synching now. One thing right off the bat, and yes I'm aware it's a beta, the logo is bigger than my screen. Kind of impressive, actually. But probably should be revised for the final release I like the new staking features in the wallet. Nice clean layout. Now to see if it works ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I will soon have a premium hotel. How to make as many as possible bitcoin transactions out of it? - Give 5-10% off of advance room reservations when paying bitcoin (wpb)? - Give 20% off of restaurant bill if it's over $100 per person wpb? - QR-code room service menus with one click ordering? - In bars, also direct ordering from tables wbp? - All staff wears/carries QR-codes for tipping? - ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Cool if I can be responsible for multimillion$ increase in bitcoin market cap Wow, this is amazing. Seeing as you have good reputation, I'm willing to help out with anything I can. Student with a lot of time on his hands and fluent in 4 languages. 4 languages? Impressive! There was a joke once circulating around: What do you call a person that speaks two languages? Bilingual. What do you call a person that speaks three languages? Trilingual. What do you call a person that only speaks one language? American. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I, unfortunately, fall into the last category. I guess we feel like we can get by with English in most of the world. Also, I think start teaching foreign languages too late in our schools. Most students only start taking another language in high-school but studies have shown that it is much easier for very young children to pick up other languages. Oh well. I am thankful for Google translate. For Americans, maybe English and Ebonics count as bilingual? Nah. Ebonics "speakers" can't even understand each other.
