I think those of you, guys, who deem themselves as anarchists are terribly misusing the term... Cool
Considering what you say here (small isolated settlements, ostracism, communal efforts and all that nonsense) I would rather call you hippies... Grin

Or maybe an anarchist is just an age-worn hippie? Grin

Not all anarchists are hippies, but I'm not so sure the reverse is true.

For the most part, anarchist support decentralization to it's logical extreme within a social context.

what, are we little groundlings that do the dirty work  for the winklevoss twins? if they want to get their exchange up, they'll just have to take the normal channels of paying government officials to open doors for them.

Any idea what it costs to buy a congresscritter these days? Or how long the purchase is good for?

Seems to me they aren't as easily bribed anymore. In the "good old days" a company could invest in America by buying a senator for a fairly small king's ransom. Now it seems like they expect more than any potential return...

As for petitioning the government for redress, well, that does give 'em something to laugh at...

Plug one of these into your 30 amp electric dryer outlet.  Bam! Enough power to feed 2 Neptunes!

Do you want bitcoins or dry clothes?   Grin Wink

http://www.powerboxinc.com/7500_combo.html

heh thanks for the link....may have to do that but still want to know if a 100amp panel with NO central a/c load on the house and only a clothes dryer and stove 30amp (I can make the dryer gas if I have to) ok to do or not

1) elec code wise running 2 of these beasts off a 100 amp panel code wise

2) I have to live there don't want to wake up tyring to an elec fire (or not)

anyway thanks if anyone off hand knows something on this (would not to sound like a complete idiot when/if I talk to an electrician on concerns)

Searing

I was literally born into this subject. My dad is a retired IBEW Journeyman with over 40 years experience. I learned basic wiring before I learned to ride a bike.

First off, you are pushing it with a 100 amp panel. Period. That's what they put in cheap apartments and oldschool trailer houses. A 150 or 200 would be better.

This is basically DIY stuff, and really easy to boot. I'll post a link to a couple of decent books a bit later, but the parts are available at Lowes or Home Depot for very little money. Even if it weren't by comparison to the 26K you're already talking about. Don't dick around with pennies, ya know?

In many cases, the physical dimensions of a 100 amp and 150 amp panel are the same. In fact, they are often the same panel, but the main breaker (the big mother on the top) is rated lower. If that is the case, you can simply replace that breaker in most cases, if the incoming wires are big enough. They usually are, but that's something you'll need to verify. The safe, legal way to do it is to have the electric company pull your meter. This kills incoming power. Then, if you are replacing the service (panel), mark every wire with labels as you disconnect them, and then wire them to the new panel's circuit breakers in the same fashion. Adding new circuits (at the panel) is dead simple. Snap in a breaker, connect the hot lead to the breaker, and connect the neutral to the main buss on the side that the breaker is attached to. Ground wire goes to the neutral buss as well.

For your miner's circuit, unless you really have no choice, I would run the wire outside the wall either through EMT pipe or just in the open, if you're going to have it in the same room as the service. Running wire in existing walls is a pain in the ass. Not dangerous, but damaging to the wall and to your hands.

If you are upgrading the service, I would go at least 200 amps, as you're looking at maybe 50 dollars difference in price on the panel, and it gives you some headroom. Like for that A/C down the line  Grin

In most jurisdictions, you do have to have the new panel/installation inspected. That being said, just don't run the dedicated line till the inspector has gone his merry way. It's easily removable, should the need arise, and ain't none of their business anyway. Once it's all done, have the electric turned back on with the proper rated meter (supplied by the electric company) and you are on your way.

I can answer specifics, if you have them, but that's the tl;dr on this.

Hope it helps.

Well, it dropped a fair amount today. Not like a rock, more like a feather Smiley I suspect a bit of profit taking going on.

We indeed live in interesting times.
3045  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Should more of us switch to solo-mining instead of pool-mining? on: December 01, 2013, 05:03:24 AM
you should be able to merge mine all SHA256 based coins simultaneously at minimal additional cost.
No, you can only merge-mine coins which are designed to be merged mineable. Not all of them are.

You can also do this if you run P2Pool, FWIW— P2Pool pools your Bitcoin mining (but in a secure decentralized way) but also gives you the freedom to merge mine anything that can be merged mined. (You're a solo miner on the merged mined things).

Thanks. That filled in one gap in my knowledge. I don't know that this is universal, but I have heard that Knc miners at least have difficulty with P2Pool. Is this a general thing with ASICS, or just a problem with Knc?

And that still leaves that I have no idea how to set up a non p2pool pool for private use. Let alone the frontend for a public pool Smiley Ah well, more research. Hasn't killed me yet.

EDIT: Is there a list of merge mineable coins out there?
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 01, 2013, 04:16:54 AM
Hahaha, shill all the way... pegged me there...
I did indeed have a slight advantage, due to the kindness of KNC, admittedly...
I don't however, have any inside knowledge, I'm just as you, a customer.
Feel free to call me whatever name you want...  if it makes you feel better.

no-one said anything about insider knowledge, you shill!

keep the act up...

who is this fucking guy? who let you in here? man, we need more security.

says the whining crybaby who posts endlessly about how life & the world isnt fair??

and then sticks his worthless oar into other peoples affairs.

we also need a 'mentally older than 18' function..

jeez who stuck a stick up you a*ss? If he gets Neptunes and it works out so be it. Big deal.

so you are stupid after all, it was patently clear but well done on the clarification.

no one gives a shit who ordered what - thats their business.

what is un fucking acceptable is apologising and excusing KNCs fuckups and lies constantly over and over again.

and/for getting free SECRET boards when most (if not all originally) received under-performing, faulty, disabled and LATE equipment. (Shh..Secret!)

or did you actually know that and were just 'acting' the fool?
1. Not all my boards worked when arrived.
2. Every machine I got was "Bricked on arrival, because the workername field, and stratum address was incorrect.
3. All my machines were shipped to the wrong address, they were supposed to go to Washington, where I rented a secure facility to start this, with a partner.... They came here instead, and I was literally at the airport, ready to leave and checked the account page while I was waiting, only to find they were shipped home after changing the address weeks before on the account page.(turned out a blessing)
4. It took me over 18 hours to learn linux and putty, and hack into the cgminer to change it, only to find the config was not in the default location.
5. I was "Promised" September shipment, and got my first one October 10th.
6. After ordering June 2nd when KNC's site was practically blank.., people who ordered months later recieved their machines the same week as I did.

Yet nothing that happened was intentional.
I accept things at face value, and work the challenge, until I get a result.
Whining & complaining usually gets nothing accomplished.
With all that said....
I still stand by KNC 100%
They are the best in their field imho
Problem is...they are human.

That always screws things up, dunnit?

My problem with Knc is they didn't send me a damn thing. Of course, I didn't pay 'em...

Good luck on the neptunes. Hopefully my fortunes will change. I am a bit jealous of you, because you are doing exactly what I had planned on doing, but was unable to fund. Not angry, mind you, just jealous. My time will come.

And to Edgar... There is nothing wrong with a positive attitude. A lot of shit went wrong on the first run for a lot of people. Overall, it got sorted. Not as well or as fast as anyone would have liked. But for the most part it DID get sorted. You're gonna give yourself a stroke with all this hate.
3047  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: December 01, 2013, 01:12:23 AM

You'd be wise not to confuse the rabid purchase of miners in a market with very little supply and high demand with running a business successfully.

The BTC/ASIC phenomena will settle soon enough and unless your plan was for AMT to only last a few months, you will find that being an asshole to your existing and/or potential customers will bite you in the ass.

I think what we're doing is the furthest thing from "being an asshole" or confusing this with running a business successfully. We are not running this successfully at the moment at all, we're basically just trying even run it. And other manufacture out there that claims anything but the same, is full of it. And this business of BTC miner manufacturing can only be comparable to something like "riding a psychotic horse into a burning stable". We've designed our miners to have the ability to work with several different types of chips. Slotting a board on 3.5 modified heatsink  will not only allow us to keep shipping but to partner with most of the real chip manufacturers in the process. As long as our boards stay the same size, and we master ways to cool these things which is another challenge of the week  (Avalon), we're fine. The LTV of our customers will surpass those of any other manufacturer. Because if your a miner and the difficulty just sky rocketed, do you want to wait for a  another full miner on pre-order, or to order an AMT 220ghs drive that you can use to swap out your 45ghs bitfury drive.

Coincraft is a great chip, I promise you that. And bitfury is still a great chip and will always be the best chip design during the blossoming of the BTC mining industry. But since the value of BTC skyrocketed they have chosen halt sales for the moment. Bitfury was designed by a Ukrainian man so intellectually and so smart that even 1 year later the chip itself yields a higher hashing power with the right board design. No one ever seems to notice or recognize that fact, and their distributors Dave and Niko are honest and good men as well. But in a world of chaos and greed, I don't blame them for being out of stock, but it does present an issue and a possible problem which we foresaw when designing our miners. So that effects our business obviously, but since our board/hotslot model is a versatile one, we can swap these out with Avalon boards and change our products to the AMT100 and AMT 150, and continue to ship. A problem we have currently is that Avalon heats up like crazy, so now we have to figure out a smart cooling method to the hot slot model, which we will, and needed to anyway, because moving 320W of heat per board (Coincraft) out of an aluminum case isn't an easy one. So whats the solution to that - the most simplest - slid-able removable side panels for the moment.

We've designed this business and these miners with the idea of what the mining customers goes through, the problems of greed in this industry from all levels, and the problems that that the customer faces, and basically the only thought process anyone could and should have needs to start with " Ok, So what's the worst that can happen " and then make the business model backwards.

So do we want to flaunt these miners, create videos and gain the attention of some of the other competitors out there who obviously invest their time and money in trolling and DDOS attacking sites(Our site is undergoing one right now by the way)  and putting down other companies over the phone trying to sell their clients. (A few of our larger clients came from one company who spent 20 minutes on the phone just bashing everyone else ).  Or do we want to sell and ship quietly to our customers which are also, on the level.

But between DDOS attacks, an attempted break in, merchant processors/banks screwing things to hell, chip suppliers limiting availability and the worst of all it, trolls. Most men would have quit by now. But we are not most men - and if we come off like an asshole, we don't mean to and apologize in advanced.

Okay, I feel bad, you sound like you're working hard. And if you are, it's even more tragic that you sound like you're running a scam, which if you just take a step back and objectively read this thread, is honestly what it sounds like.

That being said, don't blame the bitcoin community or these forums as some kind of unique environment where everything is horrific. Running any small business is like what you describe. People are trying to swindle you, from suppliers to customers. I've seen it in the restaurant biz, I've seen it in B2B. You're not cursed, in fact, you have the unique opportunity to have a large amount of customers concentrated in one place (here) and that should be an advantage to you, not something to hide from. Put on your game face, show people how excited you are about it and people will drink the kool-aid if you sound positive and like a believer. Don't be pressured to promise anything because of b.s. promises other companies are making.

Speaking to customers and making them believe in you and your product is a skill and it takes hard work to get there. It means not getting pissed off (in public) when someone talks shit about you or the little company you are trying to build, it means taking feedback from people with a smile on your face, even though you are boiling with rage inside, it means telling everyone to "calm down, be patient, we're hard at work!" when you mean "fuck off, we're working on it you impatient bastards". It means have a real plan and a schedule for updates even though it seems like your time is better spent on actually doing the work.

Just to use a Thanksgiving analogy, when you're cooking a turkey you are tempted to open the oven and check on the turkey a bunch of times, which slows down/ruins the cooking. But, you can solve that problem with a digital meat thermometer - even though the process hasn't changed, the information, whatever it is, is the difference between watching the game and enjoying your family and standing around in the kitchen, getting short with anyone who wants to know when we will be eating.

Extremely well said. AMT, we're looking at you. I personally want you to succeed. One, I can probably afford your product in about five months, and two, you're in the US, which simplifies things for me.

Three is that I too have worked in customer service (most of my life) and fully understand the frustrations.

Here's a couple of "daffynitions" that help me get through the bad days, and are fully in line with the above.

Diplomacy: The art of telling someone to go to hell in such a way that they are looking forward to the trip.

Tact: The ability to make people feel at home when you wish they weren't.

3049  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Should more of us switch to solo-mining instead of pool-mining? on: December 01, 2013, 12:45:34 AM
I'd like to chime in on this with some unfounded speculation! (LOL)

Seriously, I've been thinking about this for a while. While I think solo mining has a great deal of merit, I think it's also kinda complicated. The machines don't do it well by themselves, so to be effective, especially if you are purchasing a lot of hashpower, you pretty much have to set up a pool. It can be totally private, of course, but it's still part of the hardware/software chain.

That being said, I can see some pretty serious advantages to that, and to solo mining.

The obvious, you get all the coins. The slightly less obvious, you get all the transaction fees in any block you solve.

The one I'm seriously looking at, though, hasn't been discussed much that I've seen. (granted, my life is a catastrophe and I don't have a lot of time to spend here. Not even as much as I do.) That's merge mining. If you are solo mining with a serious ASIC rig through your own pool, you should be able to merge mine all SHA256 based coins simultaneously at minimal additional cost. Mainly your time in setting it up, if I understand it correctly. Granted, they are extremely volatile even by comparison to BTC, but it could very well cover all of your electricity costs for a rather long time. Plus it sounds fun.

Where my problem lies is I have no idea how to set up a bitcoin pool, or to set up merged mining. I haven't found any sort of step by step tutorial on that, either. I probably just missed it. If any of y'all reading this know of such resources, this would be a rather good thread for it.

Don't tell them.  I regret telling a co-worker with a giant fucking ego.

why?  just rub his face into it and tell him he better go buy some HashCraps and ConTerras

or introduce him to Puppet and he will motherly tell him that thou shalt never ROI with miners

Was mostly referring to him just buying 5 btc @ $200.  Lucky sack of crap doesn't deserve to make a dime.  I'd like to scare him out somehow.  lol

There is something annoying about non-libertarians with giant ego's making money on something they don't understand.  Whereas I've mostly sunk my life into trying to learn about proper economics contrary to our currently accepted system.

Amen, brother. Economics is not such a dismal science when you read Menger and Von Mises Smiley But it does fail to factor for fortune favoring the foolish, which seems to be damn near universal.
3051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy must be going mad, he lost 4 Million Pounds worth of Bitcoins on: November 29, 2013, 08:00:07 PM
Was listening to BBC radio 4 on the way home from work and they had a story about a guy looking for his hardrive in a landfill site.

He purchased Bitcoins around 3 years ago and then just forgot about them, Three months ago he threw his old computer bits out including the hardrive with his Bitcoin address. He then realised how much Bitcoins had risen from 3 years ago. If he still had that hardrive he would have had 4 million pound worth of Bitcoins. He has been up on the landfill site looking for it and talking to the people who work at the landfill site his hardrive is buried and he has 0 chance of finding it.

Wow I would be so gutted if that ever happened to me

.. never throw away your old computer bits Smiley

Small correction: he MINED them, not bought. Then his girlfriend complained his pc was too noisy and he quitted. Smiley

Ok ok, lesson one, when it comes to Bitcoin never listen to your girlfriend !!

3052  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction Overdue on: November 29, 2013, 07:55:50 PM
This is based on prior market moves. I believe we have switched gears forever.

That would be interesting, but I based my speculation on markets in general. There is nothing more dynamic than trade.

I still think it will bobble around, and given how early we are in this game, I think it could have some significant downswings. I don't think it'll drop like a rock again, however, as Germany has accepted it as currency, the US is considering it, and China seems rather bullish on it as well. That's some heavy hitters right there, and regulations, when they come, will likely drive prices higher as well.

But the biggest long term driver will be general adoption. The more people use it, even as savings, the higher it's likely to trade. I think this run up is partially a correction upwards, and partially a bit of mania. I don't think we've hit the top, but I do believe the parabola will start to bend to the right real soon. In a way, I hope I'm wrong, because if it keeps going up like a rocket, my little stash will be worth quite a bit. But this is the way I see it, as of the moment.

And now for something completely different, I love your sig!
3053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction Overdue on: November 29, 2013, 07:24:14 PM
As bitcoin starts to go mainstream, I think the prices will trend upward for a long time. However, there ought to be some interesting swings (profit taking, odd news, etcetera). At least I sincerely hope so, as I will buy when it drops. In the meantime, it's one hell of a ride, ain't it?
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 28, 2013, 12:19:18 AM
They may be heading to more power hungry rigs, but we don't know how power hungry yet. Even 2kw isn't anything more than a small electric fire which many homes run ...most small home miners won't be running 10 neptunes, maybe 2 or three max? No problem really as long as they pay their bills.
The problem for competitors, apart from trust and proven hardware is price.. can they compete with the price per Gh? Seriously doubt that unless someone new like KNC appear, which could happen.

KNC have been very clever at marketing and timing , I'd bet they have destroyed some companies like BFL completely. No tears there though eh? Smiley

I think the power issue isn't so much paying the bill, but the wiring involved. Most US houses these days, you might be able to squeeze out 2..MAYBE 4kw circuit. Beyond that you need subpanels, and ideally dedicated panels. Most folks won't do that unless they're already balls deep (like Phoenix for example).

Personally, let's say I could only support 2kw, I'd feel almost ill owning a miner which can only do 3TH because of the limitation, knowing that if I had more power it could go twice as fast. It's like paying 2x as much for a miner than you need to. I have a feeling the Neptune will be able to hit 5 or 6TH in the right conditions.

Yes, KNC has done well with their timing. I also point to their 'protect the network' claim as part of this. They're using it as an excuse for timing, but to save themselves from a bad reputation regarding time-to-market (such as what befell BFL).

Let me chime in on the power a bit. My father is an electrician (well, was, he's a few days shy of 75 years old now Smiley ) and I learned this stuff rather thoroughly growing up. If you live in a rental apartment, this is useless to you, but if you live in your own house or in a rented house with property, it probably isn't.

Firstly, there is nothing magical about this, and the equipment is cheap by comparison to what you are spending on a single miner. You can easily install almost everything by yourself with tools you can buy at walmart and equipment that you can get at Lowes or Home Depot, practically everywhere in the country. I am not familiar with the retailers for DIY stuff in the rest of the world, but I would imagine that it's not too hard in most developed countries.

If you have a shed, you can make it your mining shack. Add a 200 amp service panel, wire it for 240/120 which it's largely preconfigured for anyway. I recommend twelve guage wire, though 14 meets code for 15 amp circuits. 12 is only marginally more expensive, and is legit for 20 amp circuits. This, in a small shed, is a day's work if you've never done it before. There are a number of DIY books out there, the oldest still in publication being "wiring simplified", which I learned from at my Dad's orders when I was seven years old. It's technical enough, but not over the top. There are many others. You will want one 15 amp circuit for lights, coffee pot, etcetera, and probably want the rest to be 20 amp or 30 amp 240v RMS circuits. You're only talking five or six breakers here, unless you are trying to run 10 or more miners. In that case, go to 300 amp. Then, establish a separate account to that shed with your utility company. They will supply the meter, you just have to have the wiring in place and in most places have it inspected by a local official. If you can handle the fine work for an electronic device, you can wire a panel and the branch circuits in your sleep. This is monkey work after you've done it a few times. Apprentices do almost all of this sort of work on major projects, with the journeymen supervising and doing some of the more complex stuff, especially industrial. The last time I wired up a panel and ten branch circuits was about ten years back, helping a friend update his house. The only hard part was running wire inside existing walls. You won't have that problem doing it in a shed, just run 'em in the open and fasten the wires down real tight. It took me about ten hours doing it on a remodel. In the open, it would have been maybe three.

There are several advantages to this approach. One, you have dedicated power. No line spikes from the heater coming on, or the stove, etcetera. Two, your power bill for the mining rig is easily accountable as it is it's own bill. Three, any wiring problems will be EASILY traced, as the wiring is right in the open, and four, the cost of the equipment is cheap by comparison. Maybe a thousand dollars, if you don't watch for sales and discounts.

3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 28, 2013, 12:06:08 AM
The safest bet for a quality design which will exceed the specified hash rate and will definitely ship sometime in 2014, is KNC. There's no doubt.

I have a feeling, however, the other companies will stick to 28nm for awhile and cater toward the house-based mining folk, as it appears KNC is propelling toward more industrial consumers.

If you were to spend money on a miner right now, your best bet is KNC. To me, there's too many variables with what the returns will be like in 4-6 months, I'd rather find something now and burn it up until it's no longer viable, and move forward with the earnings.

To be fair, almost from the beginning that has been their stated focus. They have waffled somewhat, but the commercial miner has always been their target.

I am cautiously optimistic on Cointerra and BlackArrow, I believe Bitmine will deliver, and of course Bitfury have already proven themselves (though with my crazy work schedule I haven't kept up with their latest plans, if any).

For reasons I cannot properly elucidate, just gut feeling, I think Hashfast will fold. I can't prove it, I have no insider information, I just smell fish.

I am trying several avenues to raise revenue, and when I get it I'll buy KnC if at all possible. I like the company, can forgive their warts as they are overall pretty small, and I want them to succeed. For several reasons. One of them being Bitcoinorama who was very kind and very informative to a newbie even before his association with KnC.

In a previous post you mentioned that it feels good to be in on the beginning of something historic. I am a bit jealous there, and flog myself constantly. I almost was one of the first adopters. I was aware of bitcoin at the outset, and was interested. Then a lot of shit happened in real life, and I forgot. That error cost me a lot. I had no reason, at the time, not to do it. I simply got sidetracked. Granted, the IRL issues were real, immediate, and devastating, but that doesn't change the fact that I missed a boat I wanted to sail on.

That being said, I still think the day is young on Bitcoin. It has risen almost twice what I thought it would in this year, and still going up. I actually thought it would hit $500 by about January 1st. We do indeed live in interesting times.

Why not to talk about Iran foreign policy or freedom in North Korea?

Aside from being a red herring, no reason.

I live in the Empire. I don't live in Iran or North Korea. But since you brought it up...

Iran, established in it's current borders during the British Mandate, formerly part of the Persian Empire. A State of (if memory serves) 27 million people, has a foreign policy of keeping their head down and flapping their tongues. They have never in their modern history invaded another country, unless you count pushing the Iraqi army back some twenty kilometers across the border in repelling their invasion.

During that same period, how many nations has the USA invaded (fuck the pretext, just the number.)

I don't know. I was born in the latter part of the first half of that history. But off the top of my head I get, in my lifetime or just before it, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Haiti (twice), Grenada, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Ethiopia, Yugoslavia, Panama, Columbia (repeatedly)... And I know this is not a complete list.

During the aforementioned time frame, Iran has pushed for, gotten, and enforced economic sanctions (which only ever strengthen the radicals under them) against, again, no country. The Empire has pushed for, gotten, and enforced so many international sanctions that even THEY lose track.

Your flag waving is annoying, to say the least, but you should REALLY pick better negative examples. Just because the master whose boots you lick so lovingly wants to invade Iran doesn't make them a good negative.

As for the comic opera that is North Korea?

What foreign policy? Glare at US troops across the DMZ?

You're not comparing apples to oranges, you're comparing apples to rocks. They don't even bear the relationship of both being fruits.

Oh, you forgot somehow participation in World War Two.
Two bad you don't want to live in Iran or North Korea and prefer US. Some dogs bite the feeding hands...
I'm sure your favorite president is Obama. And the most funny thing is you voted for him again.

How badly did you fail your reading comprehension tests in school? Based on this reply, I'd have to posit that it was a train wreck.

I said these examples were IN MY LIFETIME. I was born in 1968. I remember Vietnam, myself. I wasn't very old, but I remember it. Korea was a recent memory for my parents, and WWII was a bit more in the past.

Further, IN THIS THREAD ALONE I have mentioned multiple times that *I* DO NOT VOTE. The system is illegitimate in every sense of the word, even if one were just to buy into the existing constitution. Not one of the wars I mentioned was given legal sanction by the very government that purported to support it, thus exacerbating the problem and allowing them to use truly egregious tactics, such as abandoning their own soldiers among other things. Mai Lai did not happen in a vacuum.

H.L. Menken, who you would hate since thinking was his forte, once said “The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair.”

This is me. I was once as bad a flag waving idiot as you. Well, no, not that bad, I actually read and try to understand history, but still, close. I woke up. I didn't hit the snooze button. Try it.

No, I did not vote for Obama. I did not vote for Ron Paul. I did not vote for any of them. I don't vote. If you could demonstrate any substantive difference between the Democrats and the Republicans since 1861, you'll be the first. Given your post history, I doubt you'll get there.

If you DO vote, you cannot bitch, because you have accepted the idiotic notion that the mob makes good decisions, and that they should be binding on everyone regardless of desired outcome. It's hokum, and anyone who gives it more than ten minutes thought knows so.

And one more thing. READ. When you don't, and reply anyway, it makes you look like a perfect idiot. Nobody is perfect, but appearances and all that...

Whats this about needing two circuits? If in turbo mode it's utilising 3kilowatts, well thats only like having a 3kilowatt heater plugged into the socket... whats the difference?

Damien.
You can't plug a 3kW heater into a standard 110/115/120V 15A/20A circuit.

I admit it isn't very well specified on our product page, but the Rig design uses a single, high performance 3kW power supply unit with a single IEC C19 connector cable to draw up to 16A (at 230V). Hope this clarifies a bit  Smiley

If I have a 2TH Rig, how much power consumption draws from the wall? I live in north america which is 110V and 15A breakers, how am I suppose to power the rig as my maximum safety continuous power draw is 1320W considering should not exceed 80% of the circuit breaker's maximum amperage

Use your dryer circuit. Or just have a 220 line wired in. You already have it at the panel.

Why not to talk about Iran foreign policy or freedom in North Korea?

Aside from being a red herring, no reason.

I live in the Empire. I don't live in Iran or North Korea. But since you brought it up...

WHY??? Why must you push those big shiny buttons when I'm dead!! (J.k). I'm going to eat. Then I'm going to sleep. Then I'm going to celebrate my son's seventh birthday.

So you decided to share with us some piece of crap thought here and hoped to get away with it, right? Grin

But of course! LOL
