Isn't this like the buring S7? it gets really hot
Thing is the LN is quieter and has bigger heatsinks. I struggle to keep it at a decent temperature even with fans on minimum setting so fans that are cheaper to run even at a slightly higher rpm would save money and still be effective. Also I can sell them if I get rid of the LN so cost is negligible really. Aslong as they are quiet and perform how I need them too it's all good.

As I replied I did think to myself that the power would be rated at 100% speed so probably not much difference. But that being said if the LN fans are the same fans as the regular S7 they should still draw more than a fan that's doing 2400rpm (100%) and drawing 0.3a.
The LN fans at 100% are 4300rpm (I assume) and draw approximately 3a. So at 50% it's 2150 and 1.5a. So I'd be saving myself approximately 14watts which works out (at my electricity cost) approx £1.31 per month.

Wrong section of the forum I'm afraid. This is the BITCOIN section. Take a look at the ALTCOIN section of the forum. Hopefully someone will be able to help with your Burstcoin problem

Thanks for the reply HagssFIN. Just what I was after. Just thinking of changing fans on my S7LN and wondered how much power a change would save.

Has anyone got a picture or the details for a fan on the S7?
I'm after the Amps if possible. Any and all info welcome go single and dual fan models.

Do you have any pics?
Don't forget the picture with a piece of paper saying your forum member name and a date on it. At least then we have some small proof you may actually own the gear you are selling.

Certainly is a big one. But we've always got through it. Hopefully a couple of greens will follow in quick succession *crosses fingers*

Lovely addition to the set up.

Hi everyone,
1 x Hashing Board (no heatsinks)
1 x Control Board (with ribbon cables)
Came from one of my old S3+ miners that I broke for parts.
Not sure if they are working as the miner wouldn't recognise a board. Couldn't figure out if it was the controller or this particular board so no guarantees if either piece of equipment is working.
Not looking for any money for the parts, just to cover shipping. Happy to post worldwide but would need to get a postage quote for each enquiry so please give me some time to respond.
Please comment here (no PM's unless asked for) so I can keep track of enquiries.
Pictures can be posted if needed.
Thanks.

Seems like a total waste of time to me

Are the ambient temps ok? My S7LN would drop a board if it goes below 18c ambient. i have 3 other machines and all working fine did you get fault red light when this happen ? because i didn't No I didn't get a fault light at all. Just the little red light on the top of the hashing board would go out. Restart it and keep the ambient at a nice temp and it's been fine. 9days so far without a problem.

Are you using nicehashes own multi mining program that uses your computer/laptop? It just mines any coin it can then pays out in btc. Only problem is that you are sacrificing the lifespan of your hardware for very little return. You'll probably end up breaking your computer before earning enough to covers its cost.

Thanks Philip, I'm intrigued by the thinner soundproofing method. Only reason I ask is that I'm considering an S9 just incase they don't bring out another batch of the R4 as I need to get a more efficient unit now. And as you've guessed it's a sound issue it's dropped again after 13 hours And the gui for the miner looks like all 3 boards are still hashing? Based on the actual hashrate it looks like one of the boards stops working. If the miner gui says everything is working normally and shows a hashrate for all 3 boards then I would be inclined to suspect it was a controller problem and not a hashboard problem. Are the ambient temps ok? My S7LN would drop a board if it goes below 18c ambient.

Mamiakimo, just let it run for a day and see what it's like then. All this starting and restarting will just cause you problems and cost you money.

|
|
Strange how the new S9's come out with firmware that auto-adjusts to find the optimum frequency for each hashboard just like what has been done by a member on here 🤔
|
|
|
May be a stupid question but has anyone changed the fans for quieter ones on the S9? How does it perform temp wise and noise wise?
|
|
|
Anyone know of any news when these will be available again?

Bitcoin Mining with GPUs/CPUs is long gone. The favourite for GPU's is mining Ethereum. Checout the Altcoin section of the forum. There should be plenty of information there for you

As has been explained numerous times in numerous threads. Btc transactions are NOT reversible. PayPal IS reversible so I'm afraid you won't find someone to trade with as people (including myself) have been scammed for a far smaller amount.

So you are the one SELLING BTC. and you WANT Paypal? Just to be clear
