Perfect, thanks Vann. Ive got a single 1200w HP server psu which runs everything, the mobo has its own 8pin connector and pico psu running from a 6pin connector (adaptor cable takes a 6pin and splits it to 8pin EPS for mobo and barrel jack for pico).
Seeing as my cards are drawing max 75w im assuming most of it is from the dedicated 6pin on the card and not the riser.

Thanks very much for the reply and the link to the cable chart. The cables are phobya ones i bought quite cheaply and take a 16awg 6pin cable and split it into 2x 20awg 6pin cables.
Do you know if the cards draw most of there power through the riser or its dedicated cable socket?

So im trying to tidy up some cables. Currently i have 5x 1060’s 6GB each woth its own 6pin connector and each riser with its own 6pin connector. I would like to run two risers from one 6pin cable (each card will still have its own 6pin cable). The splitter cables I have are unfortunately 20awg. Each card is only drawing about 75watts.
Reckon this will be ok? Ive googled etc but no table gives a rating for 12v.

I have stock i7-4790 and 290-300 h/s. Thank for miner  Howdy Good_Boy, I have a stock i7 4770 running win 10 and am only getting around 175 h/s. For some reason I can't start the .bat file first time with admin rights and it's giving me error message that it can't allocate memory. scfg: 0 and it needs to be scfg: 1. Running in slow mode for now, tried every thing the README file said can't get it working right. any help much appreciated, crypto-noob You need to enable large pages in memory Where is this setting on Win10? |

Got a replacement. Same situation. Metal-casing was at round 50C. Fan moved almost no air. Had it running for a couple of hours in the hope of the fan spin up at some point. It is the platinum plus version (Model: DPS-1200SB A / Rev: 11F). That should not really make a difference. But i do this temperature. You run them like this with or without an external fan, regardless of the heat and slow internal fan? I got a cheap low wattage one and used the metal case (top and side part), cut a hole in it and attached a fan and running it at a slow speed. |

Personally i mine ETH with GPU and XMR with CPU. But i set the CPU to mine on only 3 threads out of 4 so there is some heasroom for the system to run. I used to run all 4threads but it kept crashing so reduced i and now its a bit more stable.

So ive seen that the ZEC price keeps falling with a couple of intermitent increases. Whats your opinions on whats going on? Judging by the amount ive read about people mining it i find it surprising that its still falling, I wouldve thought it would be pretty stable,if not growing steadily.

If you can wait why dont you buy one from a member on here called "sidehack" he makes breakout boards to fit the dos server psus with 12 6pin connectors on. I have two of them. Great baords and great quality. You could also try www.bitshopper.de as he stocks the boards made by sidehack in his store. I bought mine and associated cables from there. Im trying to setup this miner for my little hibby rig (5x1060's) but cant get it to launch. It cannot find "ccminer" in the folder. Am missing something (obviously apart from the elusive ccminer,lol)? Where should ccminer be in the download files?

Youre at school and could afford this kind of rig? Riiiight  Not everyone that goes to school is 21. I'm 34. I'm getting my Master's at the university I work at plus my GI Bill so I'm actually getting paid to go instead of paying. Plus, I'm an adult with a full time job and a credit card. It's $7k OBO because you wouldn't believe the low ball offers people give. If you think it's too high, make an offer. Sure you can build your own, if you want to spend the time building and tweaking to get the best hash rate. Took me about a month to get it just right but maybe you have more time than I do. Also, you couldn't even get the cards for $3k-$4k, let alone all the other hardware. My apologies then but school to me is a term used by kids not adults going to Uni. Good luck with your masters. |

How come it says "GPU2 Power Limit%" then? Also it still doesnt explain why its 0mv. Even a card sitting at idle will draw somethjng.
