Awesome server PSU right here. Currently using a 1600W one myself.

Im curious as to what that LED display shows on your board? Seems to limited to be wattage, or is it?
I use a separate power meter attached to the socket itself but if I could get a PICO board like yours that shows wattage that would be awesome.

The display is for the output voltage.

How come your AB settings are correct and it says you are drawing 34% power but you have 0mv on that card?

If the "hot" psu has a switch to turn the fan on (i.e.turn off eco mode) then its worth a try.

Got to be something to do with the restart and shutdown sequence differences. Maybe turn off "fast reboot" or whatever similar option in the bios/uefi?

Chances are you have Hynix memory which doesnt deal with OCing very well. Download GPU-z and see what memory manufacturer it is. For a bit of stability in rease the Power limit another 5%. Also use the fan curve in msi afterburner as it saves getting errors to do to with temps (well i was when i had fixed fan speed).

Are you sure PSU#2 switches on properly after the crash and restart?

Good to know. I have just ordered my first item. A D3, coming to my home in England. Which country did your receive your miner?

If anyone has experience with UK customs and import duty, it would be nice to hear.
Use the Forum Search for UK Customs/Duty, VAT etc. Been covered lots of times from s1 days on up (and from what I remember -- OUCH!). Perhaps Google it and let them do some of the sorting...

I did search. Didn't find what I need. Can you post a link to search results?

Work out the value of what you are buying. Then add MINIMUM 20% to the cost of the items AND shipping. That will get you somewhere close to the true cost of it. Its what makes it so hard to mine in the UK as it totally screws the ROI.

And if they had nothing to hide then this would NOT be a self moderated topic.

No mate uts not that simple. I used to have an S9 heavily underclocked (50% reduction) under my desk in my bedroom and it was bearable. No way could i stand an S9 going full speed. The acoustuc ducting is available on ebay or hydrophonics store. The box is just a regular thick walled cardboard box from a warehouse or packaging suppliers. To see what effct the box has set an alarm clock off and measure the level then put it in the box. It will give you a rough idea but remember the tone/pitch of the fans is higher so will carry futher/more.

It's the imminent Block Party that's coming!  Wink

Let me go get my glowsticks......

The party started yet or are we still waiting for guests to show up?
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 18, 2017, 02:52:11 PM
So my rig is currently going theough a ohase of restarting every day even though i havent changed any settings. But claymore hangs on startup unless I reduce the OC substantially. I have tried adding "-lidag 3" to the bat file but it doesnt change anything.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Further to this ive added "-gser 2" which has had no effect at all either. What is the setting for "-eres" is it better to set it higher or lower than default 2?

At my wits end now, just hangs and restarts the whole pc

You put the -dcri 1000 in the bat file along with all the other information to get claymore to run.

You probably wont find one yet as vega is rather new.
1216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question about Antminer Silencers? on: September 17, 2017, 06:01:41 PM
When using such silencers, the airflow is reduced a lot and the Miner will get hoter - I would recommend to test this before using. Best way if no extra room is available is to put it in a box with with 2 hoses for air input and output.

Hmm, where could I buy such a box, plus what do you mean by 2 hoses for air input and output? I'm in a small room and never done that before? Like would the silencer reduce it from 75 db to maybe 50?

That is a big drop in noise level. It will be tough to achieve.Use a thick walled box and acoustic ducting. Remember the longer the ducting the harder the fans will have to work and the hotter the miner may become. You could use an i line fan on the exhaust to draw the hot air out but it would have to be quiet a high CFM rating which would in turn add its own noise. You can get quiet ones but they would be fairly expensive.
1217  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question about Antminer Silencers? on: September 17, 2017, 09:12:35 AM
You can buy te ventilation mufflers but why not just put it in a well vented room at the furthest point from any people in the building.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining and onboard graphics on: September 15, 2017, 07:23:53 PM
See this is what i was thinking. Currently have an i3-7300T and getting 63hs mining XMR. It doesnt use anymore electricity mining with it so may aswell use it to do something.

But i wouldve thought it would have a better hashrate than it currently has.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / CPU mining and onboard graphics on: September 15, 2017, 05:43:30 PM
Just a query. I use onboard graphics as I dont have enough hdmi ports on my monitor for my gpu rig and my raspi setup. So use vga for gpu rig.

So would using the onboard graphics effect my hashrate when cpu mining?
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can i operate the rig without the pcie 16x slot ? on: September 15, 2017, 05:38:57 PM
Are you using any of the 1x slots with cards already?

Why not switch to onboard graphics run by the cpu?
