Do you find the more load the psu has the faster than fan gets? Only reason i ask is that im going to switch to one of these PSUs and dont want to end up burning the house down lol
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using MSI Z170a PC MATE Motherboard on: July 03, 2017, 06:57:25 PM
I was going to get this board but found a good deal on an Asrock Z270 Pro4 instead.
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Msi Z270 Gaming Carbon only detects 2 GPUs? on: July 03, 2017, 06:39:01 PM
Have you tried changing the PCI to gen 1 or 2 in the bios?
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: July 02, 2017, 05:28:04 PM
As ive said numerous times in this thread. Ive got Asus cards and have Micron memory. But i have asked the same question (made a new thread) and basically it is pot luck. I even emailed MSI and asked and they said it could be any of them on there cards.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where to plug my display - GPU rig - Please help on: July 02, 2017, 12:43:57 PM
As said. Enter bios and choose primary graphics card/display and set to onboard graphics not pcie. I had to do this so i sved a hdmi port on my monitor. Works fine through the vga off the mobo now.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: July 02, 2017, 09:14:46 AM
22.7-23Mh on micron memory after playing with settings. 19 straight out the box.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: July 01, 2017, 06:17:29 PM
Ive got two asus dual 1060 6gb OC. White ones but the Overclock version. Ordered two more yesterday which will hopefully be here soon once they are back in stock  Roll Eyes
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this PSU config 'Safe' for mining? on: July 01, 2017, 07:05:22 AM
If gpu mining is anything like bitcoin mining then splitting the power supply of a card accross two different 12v rails is a no no.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: July 01, 2017, 06:26:06 AM

seems like some one does not know english , because i did not insult anyone

1) you are a noob (noob = newbie ... that is also your rank in bitcointalk)
2) you say bullshit (and that is proven by the fact that you say that eth does not require clock speed ... try to set too low core and let me know )
3) you act like you know anything and that i have to prove you things..... like you are an authority here... you can simply go back to your hole as you aree worth 0 to my eys... there are eveen OTHER PPL reportin 26 mhs easy out of a 1060 while you state impossible to get past 22... wow yea... all must lie and the god on earth has the keys of the truth

This just proves he was right. Your attitude is appalling. He simply didnt believe you, he didnt insult you, and you fly back at him replies like this. Totally over the top. You only had to state your settings and what programs you are using and we can give it a go ourselves. All of us would like to get hashrates that good with our rigs, its the whole reason we are here on a forum Wink
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: July 01, 2017, 06:21:08 AM
70w power limit
+180 clock
+1450 memory
400w from wall for each rig (5x 1060 3gb)

Hint : I DONT USE CLAYMORE

Quote
ETH mining only scales with memory not with core, so the TDP has no influence on the result.
i dont have to proove with picture nothing just because a noob such you capable of posting the above quoted bullsh*t does not believe  the result does not mean it aint true.... please you started mine 1 hour ago . go back to your hole when it is about judging

How did you set a specific power limits i.e. Exact wattage?  MSI afterburner doesnt go to +1450 mem clock, only hits +1000 so how did you get it that high?
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: June 30, 2017, 06:21:30 PM
27 mhs for each 1060 gtx 3gb
70w power limit

reported by pool side

Thats great! What are your settings?

Ive had to switch back to +750 clock as even 775 was unstable.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: June 30, 2017, 09:47:24 AM
Samsung Smiley But I have a 2nd card (same model) that already struggles with +700, currently trying whether +650 is stable.

Lucky guy getting samsung  Smiley that definitely expains the better stability. I could probably push them a bit more if i increased power but another 10-15w for 2Mh isnt worth it for me. Hopefully got two more cards coming in the next week or two so will see how they do. Im aiming for a 5card rig with 100-120Mh rock solid with peak efficiency.
1393  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Server PSU-powered GPU rig packages! Pico's, Risers, adapter cables, etc. on: June 30, 2017, 09:18:48 AM
Depends whwre you are. I got mine in the UK from "KustomPCs". 160w pico. Got a 6pin to 8pinEPS adaptor coming woth a pigtail attached to power the pico and the mobo from a 6pin cable off my server psu.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: June 30, 2017, 09:09:40 AM
Really strange, one of my GTX 1060 can mine XMR with 1511 MHz @ 0.8V and mem +800 MHz without issues...

Who makes the memory for it? Mine are Micron.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: June 30, 2017, 08:49:09 AM
I got the memory up to +600 before the core frequency started going all over the place. So upped the settings to their current levels (see further up the page). Flatlines accross the board on the readings now. Tried pushing to +800 but started using more power so im happy with the 23Mh at approx 75w per card.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: June 30, 2017, 07:51:28 AM
Does core clock actually help? I was under the impression that only memory speed helps.

Personally ive found that you can push the memory alone only so far. Then you need to up the core clock to keep ut stable.

You meant "you can't" didn't you? Otherwise, you sentence makes no sense..

No i meant you "you can". You CAN push it only so far before it gets unstable and needs the core clock increasing. Wink

Not bad. Im trying to keep the power consumption as low as possible as im mining at home and have to pay for the electricty at £0.13/kwh.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: June 30, 2017, 05:52:56 AM
Noob question. When quoting hashrates ie ETHs are people going off their miner or their dashboard?

Ie with my MSI GTX 1060 Gaming x 6gb
Mining Pool Hub dashboard gives me 23.29 MH/s, looking at my miner it seems to be showing in the low 18 MH/s
I've slightly overclocked it at through afterburner Power limit 108, +140 Core clock +760

I go off claymore screen. Dashboard shows sloghtly more.

I havent got anything else apart from the standard stuff thats on claymores thread.

TDP- 60%
Temp Limit-75c
Core Clock- +150
Memory Clock- +775
Fans- Auto (range from 25-35% speed)
Temps- 55c & 63c

Getting 23.05Mh ETH only.
hashrates are great man, are you expecting more?
what's your 1060 model?

Asus Dual 1060 6GB cant get anymore out of them. Hit 23.5 at +800 mem clock and started crahing even with core and power limit incareased. This is stable and drawing 182w at the wall on a platinum 520w psu. Got cables, pico, 1200w platinum server psu ready to go for expansion if i can justify more cards.
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Could not getting same speed with all cards on: June 30, 2017, 05:48:51 AM
Thanks for your valued for reply,
I have stock settings for all, same series and model cards MSI NVDIA GEFORSE GTX 1060 3GB
All have tmp around 68 and fan speed 60%

Definitely sounds like the 15Mh cards are hynix memory. You can stil OC them but they wont do aswell as the Micron or Samsung memory type.

Get MSI afterburner and tweak the settings. ETH is all about the memory clock really.
