2221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges will survive? on: March 12, 2018, 06:27:26 AM
For some reason, I have my faith on Bittrex.

no offense but that means you are a fool! Bittrex is one of the biggest scammers of our time among exchanges out there. and they have a lot of financial problems, that is why they scammed thousands of users out of their money. they lured them in from all around the world and when these users had enough money in their accounts in total they decided to close all their accounts from certain countries to solve their financial problems. they made millions by simply scamming these people.

it is only a matter of time before they do what Mt Gox, Cryptsy and a dozen other did.
2222  Economy / Speculation / Re: sunday dumping on: March 12, 2018, 06:15:20 AM
everyweek,,sunday bitcoin price is dumping,

do you know why??

Actually today the prices seem to be going up. I think the dumping of coins on the weekends is just a coincidence unless there is some coordination between whales to dump and then buy back later.

After the series of bad news events last week, it’s nice to see prices rebounding a little bit, even if it is temporary. If there is no more bad news coming, then maybe we will see the recovery continue going forward.
Only Fuds makes the price goes down, whenever there was news appears, people make it a way to think that BTC will not recover then sells their btc. If only people will trust that BTC is capable of growing despite that news.

NO! FUD does not make the price go down.
price goes down for a million  different reason, the simplest reason is correction for example. what FUD does is that it makes the already ongoing drop bigger. if you check each of the drops and their FUDs you can see that there is always a good reason for the drop and there is always a logical bottom for it but then the FUD comes and the drop becomes bigger and the bottom becomes illogical which is why it never lasts.
2223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada Continues to Attract More Crypto Mining Companies on: March 12, 2018, 06:03:43 AM
there are countries in the world that have made the move to adopt cryptocurrencies fully and with open arms. Canada, Japan, even Australia and some Asian countries like Korea are in the list. these countries will do anything they can to compete with each other and grow more in the crypto world and do it as fast as possible. in a couple of years they will be the new developed countries and the rest of the world will be far behind trying to catch up when it is too late.
as for mining, it is just a small part of it, and it is a good part because it helps with the decentralization of mining.
2224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there something that Bitcoin was not blamed for yet? on: March 12, 2018, 05:55:35 AM
the media has a magnifying glass at their disposal and they can choose to focus that on any different aspects they want. so far the have chosen to focus that on all the negativity surrounding bitcoin and most of it is lies anyways.
any logical person can see that bitcoin may be involved in all of the things mentioned so far but the involvement is only a very tiny part of it, there is a lot more to bitcoin than just the negativity and on top of that it is not as much as fiat is involved in all of those things.
2225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does Bitcoin price affect ICOs on: March 11, 2018, 06:35:05 AM
it can affect their prices in two different ways:

1. everyone knows that whenever bitcoin is falling everything else falls harder. so ICO tokens are no exceptions. they can fall hard because of it and never recover.

2. which is the most important one in my opinion is the fact that when bitcoin is rising like last year there are a lot of newbies coming in with a lot of dreams of getting rich overnight while having 0 understanding of the market. and when price drops like these days the same newbies are running away as fast as possible.
these newbies are the main bulk of investors in ICOs and when there are more of them around ICOs can have better days than when there is less of them around and they are running away.
2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Story about an anonymous trader buying $400m Bitcoin is wrong on: March 11, 2018, 06:25:00 AM
that news was wrong because it was saying 3Cbq7aT1tY8kMxWLbitaG7yT6bPbKChq64 address was buying bitcoin but it obviously belonged to an exchange called Huobi. possibly their cold storage.

and unless you have proof that transctions like these:
cb7abd706c8021ebb956d2763790532e2d9970c399c4e2ed5b1ae6f7949c57f4 (4571BTC)
b2e26b0b57b7b7dcf8b749dfeab4de70b9b6956e52f5376cae24dfe286d14214 (3037BTC+omni layer thing in it)
and so on are coming from this Kobayashi guy, it still doesn't proof anything if you ask me...
How about this address: 1MaUVgXCgdXLkmXwQ4WDek5yaK86zYXw2q?
I saw a thread saying that this might be the one responsible for the price dip. Since Last Year till February this year, it's been accumulating huge amount of Bitcoins.
Look at how fast and frequent the user sold that 100,000BTC. Although, it looks like another exchange cold storage address.

yeah, i saw that address posted in this same board on the same day (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3091155.0) but the guy doesn't provide any proof about why he thinks that address is related to any of this and it was a self moderated topic so i didn't bother arguing with it!
also i search the internet and also looked it up on walletexplorer.com, long story short i also couldn't find any solid relationship between this address and Mt Gox. it is just an address with a large balance, that's all.
2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this true that GOOGLE will ban the ICO and crypto related ads? on: March 11, 2018, 06:10:00 AM
this is FUD because of two things: the timing and the source.

generally speaking anything that comes out these days is a complete lie or at the very least an exaggeration of a half truth. you should never pay any attention to the negative news that comes out  during drops, they are FUD.
additionally the source is a shitty website called financemagnates.com, that should be enough indication that it is publishing click bait articles to get more traffic to make more money!
2228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tone Vays - Prophet or Just full of shit? on: March 11, 2018, 05:59:35 AM
i don't know this guy but i have probably watched his videos! unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that are doing the same, spreading wrong information and mostly going with what can get them "more views" not what is right! for example pre August if you created a video calling bitcoin cash scam and posted it on Reddit you could have gotten millions of views easily!

additionally you should remember that just because bitcoin cash went up it doesn't mean it is not a scam! going up is thanks to the pumps and all the fools that fell for their scam not because it is good or anything and that is true about majority of the altcoins out there.
2229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ban In India on: March 11, 2018, 05:50:51 AM
as far as i know there are some restrictions in India regarding cryptocurrencies and there has been some "rumors" regarding bitcoin ban but there has not been any real news or any laws against it.
if you want a more accurate answer you may want to ask in Indian board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=89.0
2230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best passive income on: March 10, 2018, 06:46:56 AM
the only best passive income is when you invest your money in a rock solid business in real world which can give you some small returns on fixed intervals like monthly.

investing in altcoins and wishing for passive income is never going to be "best".
first thing that you will encounter in this kind of investment is the huge market fluctuations. for example you invest a large amount of money into some PoS coin or worst in a MasterNode an the price of that coin crashes down. you simply can lose a lot of money like 70% of it for instance while the reward doesn't even cover 5% of it.
the second thing is that it will cost you to run these things, to have the wallet open or run a strong enough Masternode. and the rewards usually barely covers these costs. it is somewhat similar to mining in this case.
2231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Average down and relax... on: March 10, 2018, 06:27:15 AM
When I first started to invest ....

here is your problem right in the beginning of your comment!
you have to decide whether you want to start trading bitcoin or you just want to make an investment in bitcoin. i say they are two very different options.

if you want to just invest, none of the things you are listing after this makes any sense because they are market fluctuations and an investor should not even care about these short term fluctuations anyways!

if you want to trade then that means you have to be more serious about it. you said you bought at $18,000 then follow it up with "unlucky"? that doesn't make sense. ok price dropped but so what? as a trader you should immediately adjust your strategy with the market. you sell at a loss with your stop loss and then buy back at the bottom (in the dip) sell on top buy back in the dip, rinse and repeat. that is what trading is not just buying and holding and hoping for the best and then saying things like "unlucky".
2232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let me tell you exactly what's gonna happen on: March 10, 2018, 06:08:43 AM
this board has turned into "price wishes" instead of "speculations"!
everyone wishes a lower price so they can start buying bitcoin and some are even wishing for the drop so they can short bitcoin so they think to themselves if they come up with some bullshit and post it everywhere on the internet, it will come true.
and god forbid if that comes true by a chance! we will never hear the end of it. they will think of themselves as "future tellers" Cheesy
2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overcoming the Crisis of Fake News? on: March 10, 2018, 06:00:33 AM
you can't fight the fake news and you can not overcome it. our only option is to take advantage of the situation the best way we can.
for example in bitcoin whenever there is some FUD we should look to see if the FUD is one of the good (effective) ones or just the imagination of some kid thinking he can spread FUD. if it is the good ones then you can speculate about its effects and then act accordingly in the market.
short bitcoin, or simply sell and get ready to buy back at the bottom when FUD wears off. that is what whales are doing after all.
2234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now We Know Who Sold The Bottom At $6k And Tried To Crash Bitcoin on: March 10, 2018, 05:52:36 AM
this is the classic example of an FUD which is being spread ever since price started going down from $11k and it was a successful one because it was a well crafted FUD not just random nonsense.
and it is not about whether or not they sold these coins, that part of the FUD may very well be true and that's what makes a good FUD, having some traces of the truth.
the real question is whether it affected the market and looking at the daily volumes and also knowing the fact that people who want to cash out for money and not manipulate the market will never do it in a way that causes a crash.
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! Ripple CEO, Brad, is bullshitting and shilling hard for his company. on: March 10, 2018, 05:44:33 AM
that is how Ripple always worked! with bullshit advertisement of it all over the internet.  and each time they pump their centralized token and the price goes high enough for them, they usually release a couple of billions more and make a shitload of money from doing so.
2236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why no fiat pairings? on: March 09, 2018, 06:28:47 AM
I think almost everyone of us have contemplated the benefits of introducing fiat pairings with cryptocurrencies on the exchanges,
i honestly don't see benefits in something like that. all i see are disadvantages.
deposit and withdrawal of fiat are hard, time consuming, easy to scam/charge back/etc, and very expensive. on top of it all when fiat is involved KYC/AML and lots of restrictions and then taxes will also be involved. and nobody (not users and not exchanges) want that.

Quote
but we do not see any progress from any exchange or even a hint of it from them. What are the possible reasons one can think of non introduction of fiat pairs?
it is just my assumption but maybe because people don't want that. maybe that is why most altcoin/fiat pairs don't even have a decent volume and the rest have smaller volume than altcoin/bitcoin pairs.

Quote
Will fiat pairings help altcoins save themselves at a time when bitcoin is going down or the fate of all cryptocurrencies are simply tied with bitcoin forever?
as long as they are called altcoins and everyone is buying them with sole purpose of making profit on their bitcoins, things will remain the same.

2238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might continue Bear market for another 1-2 months????? on: March 09, 2018, 06:01:20 AM
March was just started and this is the first quarter of it. and we can't really call it a "bear market" yet. it is a weird sideways market in my opinion and nobody can predict where the price is going to go it keeps jumping up and down and doing nothing else.

right now thanks to the big FUD that has been going around the "down" part is getting a little bigger than it should have been.
2239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start Trading for newbie on: March 09, 2018, 05:55:03 AM
first thing to do is to become familiar with the risks involved in trading.
the biggest risk is the risk of exchanges which is a serious and a very common one. they scam people left and right no matter how big or trusted they seem to be.
the other risk is the market itself, it is pretty volatile so you have to accept that there is always a big risk that you lose a lot of money.
knowing these risks you can act accordingly, for example you should invest a smaller amount so that if you lost it all you won't be devastated.

the rest in my opinion is juts experience which you can gain by actually trading.
2240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Once bitten, twice shy for MtGox victims? on: March 09, 2018, 05:50:58 AM
well, their money was gone but they didn't lose it because bitcoin ran away Cheesy
they instead lost it because a centralized exchange which was scammy ran away with their money. so if anything, anybody with a brain will know that the problem was lying in trusting a bitcoin exchange so they shouldn't do that anymore.
of course some of them were traders who may not come back because they don't care about bitcoin but the money they make of it but anybody else will reinvest.
