Can you please share more information on this pop up message? Your friend must have clicked some link on email or text message that contains malware. This is also the first time I've read about this okay means cancel and vice versa. Maybe the malware will be downloaded whichever option you click. It kind of reminded me of those porn sites years ago that when you try to close it clicking "X", more windows pops up instead.
2242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can you rate trust wallet? on: November 11, 2020, 09:11:35 AM
As always, not your keys not your coins. Only leave coins on exchanges when you are actively trading and not for storage.

There are far more trustworthy mobile wallets than Trust wallet. Other than Electrum, you can also try Mycelium and Samourai.

~ Trust wallet is also own by binance, but it is still better, it is open source, and also noncustodail type of wallet,
Trust wallet is closed source for Android.

The IOS version is still being advertised as open source but their old codes on Github suggest otherwise. The last commit was December 10, 2018 and it's hard to believe they haven't made any updates since then. I'm more inclined to believe that CZ decided to closed it just months after they announced the acquisition in August 2018.

deleted my previous comment as I realized I misunderstood the OP

I haven't done a challenge like this before. I'm more of a smaller bets with huge multiplier when I play games. It would be interesting to try it on sports though but I don't plan on following the daily betting rule as I'm not well versed in other sports. I wouldn't want to be forced betting on teams or sports that I know nothing about.

This is my second day of trying a big multiplier (100,000x) with minimum bet (100 sats) at Boom (ten rolls yesterday, five rolls today). As expected, it's a loss . I'm probably going to do this for 30 days straight out of fun and wish that lady luck comes Grin
2245  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbooks that aren’t paying out on Biden winning the US Presidential Election on: November 11, 2020, 07:36:16 AM
I made a bet on Bitsler that the Republicans will emerge as the winning party for the US Presidential election. My bet is still active there and I'm assuming it's the same case with other bets (Biden/Trump). They are most likely waiting for the official declaration (not media declared) also just like other bookies who haven't paid yet.

edit: Yup, I just got confirmation that Bitsler is also waiting for the Official declaration.

I am bumping this thread because betnomi host an event to win 1 btc by guessing the outcomes of 15 matches of this competition perfectly  Grin
so I need more insight and prediction here.
Thanks for the heads up. People are quick to post their prediction  Grin

Odds looks good for both Portugal vs. France at the moment (both at over 2 - Por being the slight favorite). C. Ronaldo is set to return for this match. Another good match on paper but could end up another disappointment. Maybe a 1-0 or 1-1 scoreline.

Turkey vs. Russia is another match I'm looking to bet on.
2248  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: November 10, 2020, 02:30:01 AM
^ Those are great hits. I don't remember seeing that multiplier when I was playing boom. I wonder how much he spent before that?

I might try that game again and experiment on a $5 bankroll with lesser bets. There's a higher chance I'll get burned but we'll see.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 10, 2020, 01:40:46 AM
~ The weird thing was : If the Worker have worked for too long the casinos takes them for granted and they are more likely to loose their payment.
What's weird about that? Those who worked with them for a short period of time were probably forced to resign and not a forced leave.
thats not weird but that is an example of unprofessionalism . professional company will value workers that are already working for them for too long or to those that are already regular employees .

when regular employees leaved or resign they can get a seperation pay and that amount can be huge depending on how long you have been working on the company . forcing to resign is simillar to being forced to leaved but both of them shouldnt be done for employees if they are working properly .
Easy for you to say that what they did is unprofessional because you are still thinking these casinos are operating under "normal" conditions but they are obviously not. I'm just gonna leave it at that. Think of the things you'll do when you are in a losing business because of a special condition like this pandemic.

~ But they could've at least be a bit humane about it. These people they forced to unpaid leaves have mpuths to feed, and most probably would not have much power in theur hands to find a new job right away especially given the fact that the skills required for you to work in a casino don't usually cope well with skills required in other fields, a stipend of some sort can alleviate their employee's problem first and foremost.
Why did you assume they were inhumane? Did you not read their proposals to the Government to help out? Like I said, these businesses are trying to survive too. It would be easy for them to go the easier route which is to completely seize operation after months operating at a loss.

What's weird about that? Those who worked with them for a short period of time were probably forced to resign and not a forced leave.

Companies are trying to make ends meet too and they need help from the Government to assist their employees.

I know of a company that recently forced employees to take a one week leave each month. They could have done that as early as March but they didn't.

Now the steps taken  to tackle that :

Quote
Macau government could regulate the unpaid leave, measures could be implemented for an economic rebound, employees could be offered additional training, and the foreign employment quota should be adjusted to protect the local workers.

Macau continues to suffer the effects of the ongoing pandemic, despite some of the slight recoveries taking place in the industry.

*Proposals*

At the same time we saw the boost in the gaming revenues:
Quote
Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) dropped by 90% in September but rose by 229% month-on-month in October. The Individual Visit Scheme resumed mid-September and helped boost the economy in a small way, however, the country expects the tourist arrivals for 2020 to drop by 90%.

That's comparing Sept and October only. How about losses suffered from March?

It also says there that projected tourists arrivals (casino players) are going to drop by 90%. That further justifies the cost cutting by casinos.
2251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tax Question on: November 09, 2020, 01:59:32 AM
Basic formula is Capital Gains (CG) = Selling Price - Cost but you better get yourself an accountant because the computation for the cost of sales (COS) could be tricky and your jurisdiction might affect it also.

In computing the COS for the first BTC, @Darker45 has shown you the FIFO (First In First Out) which is pretty straight forward and it's an accepted method in all countries AFAIK. Other methods like Cost Averaging and LIFO are both allowed and/or disallowed in some countries.

You can do the same process for the second BTC after finding out the date you sold and referencing it with websites like CMC as mentioned. In case you and your friend cannot remember the dates you made the transaction, finding out the cost of the TV could be a good basis (Purchase Price + handling/freight - Accumulated Depreciation). Don't take my word on this, consult an accountant in your area.

On Capital Gains Tax, just check the applicable rates in your country x CG.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 08, 2020, 04:36:20 PM
Today's games are not as rich on goals as yesterday's... In 10 minutes, the match Man City vs Liverpool will begin! Odds are 1.19 and 3.65... I will be cheering for Man City, but I think the odds to win Liverpool is very attractive!
1.19? Too low odds for Man City. You better check out Bitsler currently at 2 if you haven't made a bet yet.

Thanks to Leicester winning earlier, I can now relax because my bet on Liverpool is already covered. I still want them to win though coz am greedy  Grin

edit: LFC 1-0 up. Keep it that way or score more please  Cool
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 08, 2020, 01:29:16 PM
Man City vs. Liverpool - I'm sticking with Liverpool at 2.85 DNB. I'm not convinced Man City could win without Aguero but they could draw.

Lei City vs. Wolves - Visiting team has been unbeaten as of late but I'm just gonna go with the Home team at 2.41. I'm hoping they can still manage despite their injury woes.
2254  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: November 08, 2020, 05:39:02 AM
~ @Bttzed03 it’s not that easy to win those $30 because you would need to win many matches to collect more points, hence I feel that it’s not easy to win if you’re only targeting few matches.
I never said it's going to be easy. That $30 is for the 10th place (correcting @text there too) and not the top prize lol. You'd probably need to win one or two match worth $10 and up. I made that assumption because I only see a few participants when I joined.

Lastly I’m hoping that they make competition specifically for the Premier League or La Liga as those will be more fun to participate, and these two leagues are very popular among the gamblers too.
Nah. Why only focus on those two when they are also making lines for other leagues? That wouldn't make sense if you look at their perspective.

~
Yeah...  And it puts the winner of the title eliminator between Santos and Teixeira in an awkward spot.  What would these guys be fighting for then if the LHW title shot goes to Adesanya?
Same thought here. Like WTF is Dana thinking agreeing to this fight? Yeah the champ already agreed but what about these two? Throw out everything else for the bigger PPV I guess?

So I was wondering what changed now? Both Jones and Adesanya challenged each other before but why did Dana failed to make a deal for both? Surely that would have brought more PPVs than other title fights. He probably see Blachowicz as an easier target for his new cash cow.
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 07, 2020, 06:16:43 PM
~
Now is:

sheffield united 1 - 0 chelsea
I lost my bet on total score from Southampton vs. Newcastle match and I'll be damned if Chelsea doesn't recover from this and win the rest of the match. I went out of my way and bet below 1.5 odds as I was 99% certain they'd win. No more surprises please  Grin

edit: 2-1 at HT with Chelsea leading. Keep going  Cool

By the way, for those who like to bet on sports betting especially in soccer/football games, you will also participate in the contest.

Weekly bitsler soccer league
I just found out about this one yesterday. I wished I knew about this sooner as I might have won $30 from winning at least one match with $10 above odds (single).

@adamistraybar , you've removed/edited your comment now, does that mean it's been settled/fixed?
2258  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Relaunch on: November 07, 2020, 06:02:34 PM
It would have been better if you fully refunded all those who lost money before starting over again or those who aren't willing investors. Some gambling platforms like Betnomi managed to reversed the negative feedback about them and actually attracted a lot of players (from what I see) but your issue is way worse than them. Best of luck.
2259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 06, 2020, 03:33:45 PM
~ And check their match history..  Southampton hasn't won in their last 6 matches vs NUFC.
Yeah this is the reason why I'm a bit reluctant to bet on Southampton despite the fact that they haven't lost in their last five matches while winning four of them.

I'm just gonna experiment on the total goals and put a small bet on over 2.5 as I expect a 2-1 score line. Odds at 1.86 seems good enough.
