2401  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Problems on cryptomerchantbank.co on: November 19, 2018, 07:12:01 AM
Can I ask how did you guys come across to this unknown wallet? cause If you googled "bitcoin wallet" only the peer reviewed ones will show up.
My friend hooked me up with it, guess I just ended up getting fucked.

There's a huge possibility that this person is a part of its team. By friend, is it someone you know IRL or someone over the internet?

Think about it, there must be a motive on why they referred it to you and there's no way its because they are satisfied with their service since so far I don't see anything that could prove its legit. SO there's only one left which is, they tried to lure you on their site to take away the money you deposited.

Unless of course if there's some referral bonus going on everytime you refer someone and they are also getting fooled by it. But the thing is, I don't see anything like that on the site. Did they ask you to register using a referral link or enter a code/their username when you register?
2402  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Problems on cryptomerchantbank.co on: November 17, 2018, 05:23:27 AM
The site is highly likely to be a scam! In fact I think it is!

A user opened a thread about this a few days ago, have a read: cryptomerchantbank.co a scam BITCOIN WALLET??!!

Can I ask how did you guys come across this unknown wallet? cause If you googled "bitcoin wallet" only the peer reviewed ones will show up.
2403  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Vircurex.com a fraud ? on: November 17, 2018, 05:18:00 AM
I'm getting a 502 on vircurex.com now. I think it's gone.

Checked it and I'm getting the same error

Welp. They seemed dead even before the site was still up and running ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

If they're gone, much sad for all the ppl who are still waiting to be compensated.
2404  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: https://legitbtc.site - The best HYIP monitor on: November 17, 2018, 01:37:13 AM
>hyip
>truthful and not willing to scam

Why are you trying to mix them together? You can only pick one, you can't do them both. Anyone who joins a hyip can't expect it'll be honest and scam-free, at the same time, If you want something like that, you won't join hyips LOL

Please try to understand what hyips are first!
2405  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Black Friday deals on: November 16, 2018, 11:33:19 PM
If anyone was waiting for an offer from Ledger and Trezor, there is nothing for you too folks.

Wait why? I thought it was a yearly event?  Cry There's still nothing on their site about it but I have also never seen them announce it beforehand or maybe I wasn't much updated this past years.

They do. During last year's Black Friday, the Ledger was 21% OFF while the Trezor had a "pay for 2, get 3" promotion.

yeahh, ledger also has it on 2016, not sure about trezor tho

2406  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Does hitbtc tell people when it's about to delist or remove market? on: November 15, 2018, 09:55:54 AM
Better yet OP should try to access his token and see if there's a withdraw button so he can be at peace. This wouldn't resolve if he's just here and asking. Better to see it for his self.

True.

If that token is already dead, maybe hitbtc had didn't mind to announce it since either way it's dead so there's no point on trading. I know hitbtc still make announcement like when eos will had its own blockchain and hitbtc tell the people to withdraw their eos.

It doesn't matter, they should put themselves on their users shoes and announce every delistment before it is made. I know its all business but taking care of your customers and accomodating their needs is a part of it too, that is if you wanna keep them coming. Its so unfair and ill-mannered to only announce it when the coin has a huge userbase  Roll Eyes
2407  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Does hitbtc tell people when it's about to delist or remove market? on: November 15, 2018, 07:22:53 AM

If a coin has been removed, I don't think there is anything more we can do because the coin has died from all kinds of features on the exchange. Is it possible to withdraw the coins that have been removed? I don't think it's possible.

I haven't checked all exchanges out there, but the ones I know give their users a time frame to withdraw the soon-to-be or already delisted coin. And apparently hitbtc does it too although I can't see until when, but looking at the coin's status on their site, it seems withdrawal is still open.

2408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin or Alt Coins? on: November 15, 2018, 06:44:32 AM
Hmm. a bit confusing for me as altcoins can be traded with bitcoin so I think you meant if bitcoin(or any altcoin) <-> fiat or crypto <-> crypto?

Well If I'm right, Its gotta be crypto to crypto because of its accesibility, you don't need huge amount of capital to start and you can trade without giving your personal info.
And for that, I'm recommending binance, its the most decent exchange for crypto-to-crypto right now, imo.

Lastly, my advice is to don't jump on it right away, watch the market for awhile for some background knowledge, access some cryptocurrency trading simulator and read some useful articles in the internet.
2409  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com wallet shows no funds and transactions... on: November 15, 2018, 04:52:42 AM

Blockchain.info (.com now) states that imported addresses are not backed up by the mnemonic phrase but it never mentions the wallet.aes.json file there. Although I am almost 100% sure that I did not import any address in my wallet, I "might" have done it because I didn't was into BTC and wallets back then.

Pretty sure that warning only applies to their new wallet now (HD wallet) but in your case, you've used a legacy wallet which seed didn't contain any private keys back then.

Quote from: rory4ever
Regarding the transaction history / activity. well, I just see one BTC address there and there is no activity at all on that address...

Did you ever view it on the block explorer or just in your wallet interface? And where did you find that address? Go to Settings > wallets and addresses > and check which category does it belong to, Is it on bitcoin wallet, imported or archived?

Also, can I ask where did you bought your bitcoin? if its its from an exchange/company, you most likely used an email acc where they sent some verifications and confirmations. If you can still access that email account, you could try searching those emails from them, maybe you can find the address where you sent it and check in the block explorers if someone moved them or nahh.
2410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market is falling down. What to do? on: November 15, 2018, 02:58:38 AM
No one knows but I myself is expecting a few thousand rise before the year ends but definitely not an ATH-- its just seems so impossible rn, I think even $10K is hard but who knows. Its always like this, when the price is high, ppl are complaining they should've bought when the price is low or are asking if the price will ever get lower so they can buy more, meanwhile when the price is low, ppl are acting like its the end of the world, like why buy when its not gonna go up?  Roll Eyes

As said by the other user, every high and low is an opportunity but some ppl prefer to hold long term as it is more safer and less trouble or maybe divide their capitals and do both. If I were you, maintain your emotional posture, make sure its balance. A big example is have another source of income aside from cryto trading or just make sure your savings greatly outweighs your trading capital because most ppl whose trading with their lifeline (capital outweighs savings) are more likely to have panic attacks.
2411  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: cryptomerchantbank.co a scam BITCOIN WALLET??!! on: November 14, 2018, 02:36:19 AM
Lots of red flags tbh, highly likely to be a scam

  • newly created site
  • doesn't have any user reviews
  • anonymous in whois and on their site-- no about us page
  • it isn't https and does have an unsecured connection which could result in leakage of your data

They do have an address posted but that's useless until verified. In any case, reported this to badbitcoin.

Please respond @op after you try what is on lucius post.
2412  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Does hitbtc tell people when it's about to delist or remove market? on: November 12, 2018, 07:09:47 AM
I remember there was a user complaining about the same problem back then. And now, looking at hitbtc's tweets from nov until july this year, I didn't find a single announcement about delisting, additionally, I find it hard to believe that they didn't removed any coin within that time frame,  so the last conclusion I could think of is, they are really not announcing it. So much for saying follow their SNS to be updated when they delist a coin: What happens if a coin is disintegrated  Roll Eyes

What you could do now is to just withdraw your kbr's as soon as possible cause we have no idea how long withdrawals are gonna stay on. Status here https://hitbtc.com/system-health

btw, the devs of this coin seems dead

2413  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why not use poloniex!! Be careful! on: November 12, 2018, 03:27:05 AM
I'm not actually surprise, they've been doing shitty for a long time now, basically troubled and inconvenienced a lot of ppl. And, this continuous closing of tickets without a proper explanation just proved that polo has an infinite potential when it comes to poor service.

So yea, I'm supporting your decision to consult a lawyer, In addition to that, if you're in the U.S. you may wanna try silvermillerlaw lawfirm, they're offer free consultations, and if you know bitconnect class action, those guys handled it.

Lol, I almost forgot to ask this cause you're using google auth, have you checked if its properly synced?
Also, much better to use an auth that allows you to back-up your codes like authy for example.
2414  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Purchasing Bitcoin in person? on: November 12, 2018, 02:52:20 AM
While its true that there are some advantages in trading btc in person, please don't forget that there's also some danger risks which is pretty much always there in every situation.

Here's a good guide to minimize the risks: Tips for local transactions

And just wanna add a few things from my side.

  • Reputable platforms which allows you to view their background is great e.g. localbitcoins/btctalk - has a trust system
  • Don't transact with a huge amount of money to a single person. You can just divide it in smaller parts and transact to diff sellers
  • Preferrably, bring a friend who'll watch from somewhere pretending to be a stranger, especially if the amount is somewhere between mid or high

Oh yea, localbitcoins has a kyc, but since you'll be doing it in person, you should prolly be fine since some leave their contact info's
You can also post an ad in your local board.
2415  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: newcomer needs infohelp on: November 11, 2018, 12:34:09 AM
Blockchain.com lacks the essential features of a wallet and has been buggy over the last years. If you're into holding, I wouldn't recommend it.

Here's some sites which should help you choose:

1. https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet - What I like about this list is how on point their description are, for each wallet, hence you'll know what to expect!
2. https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/wallets - This one also list wallets and has this wallet finder thing which apparently finds a wallet based on your preference, but of course thats not why I list it, its mainly because of their bitcoin wallet FAQ's which is a must read since at the end of the day, you yourself will secure your wallet.

And for buying bitcoin, its much better to look for a local exchange, where are you from?

Oh and bitcoin.org has also a neat FAQ's for bitcoin so you might wanna check that!
2416  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recomend any interesting sources/chats about ICO on: November 10, 2018, 12:13:10 AM
When it comes to ICO its just better to use google and gather as many info's as possible using different sources.

And if you wanna interact with people, ask anything about crypto, I think this is the best platform you could get. The problem with most crypto groups especially in telegram/discord is, it is full of shillers and sketchy ppl, hence deception is most likely to happen. I'm not exactly saying that this is a scam-free platform but there are a handful of users who would likely retaliate in case someone said suspicious. In addition you can view some stats related to them which you can base to, like their trust and post history.
2417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market development on: November 09, 2018, 11:40:05 PM
If more users come, it will certainly get bigger especially if crypto gains a lot of attention again and more new people come, binance is one of the exchanges which are likely to be recommended. That is ofc, if they did not turned into a shit service at that time.

Hmm. Exchanges are tied to cryptos so I guess It'll be when we enter a bullish market. Where did you get this info about binance anyway? when was it published? and when you say daily trading volume, do you mean its contant? or its like their ATH in just a day? cause you said "How do you think it will reach another maximum before new year," after that.

2418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Crypto Trading Education packages worth the money? on: November 07, 2018, 08:16:44 PM

Oh hell no!  Haha.  They dont touch your account, you just pay the monthly fee and receive the signals or the script.  Never 100% correct but this dude is up in the 90% range for sure.  Hes got a decent following and goes live every day so Im not sure.  I talk to some of the people who get the service and they love it.  I just want to know if there is anyone else out there that does it and if so, how it compares.

No I didn't meant it directly. What I'm trying to say is blindly following someone else's signals is basically as good as making them do the thinking for you, hence, your money is dependent to them.

Well then its better to drop their name here since you're asking for a review! I'll also give my 2 cents after I've seen them
2419  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SMS verification services with Italian numbers? on: November 07, 2018, 07:55:07 PM
Alternatively, you can post an ad in the services section or in the Italian local board.

There are free escrows which you can use for it, I recommend! See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0
2420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Crypto Trading Education packages worth the money? on: November 07, 2018, 07:33:53 PM
I can't really say if it is as I have never availed one, hence never seen what kind of stuffs do most ppl teach, tho they are very fishy in my eyes.

But what's sure is that there's also tons of free resources out there, it might not be the secret recipe or the hidden gem you're looking for as some would say its a common advice, hell, eveyone knows this by now etc.. but most ppl starts there and I believe still uses it. So what I'm suggesting is don't immediately jump on paid lessons, at least try the free ones first cause at the end of the day, you'll be relying on yourself.

Also, youtubers edit their vids so who knows if they're cutting our their failures or what?
In addition, I find it hard to believe that an established trader would spill out his cards for a few bucks

Quote from: CryptoVet0331
What about just getting the signals or scripts?  I feel like its worth the money if its basically being done for you and the results are really what they say they are.  And of course if the yield is far greater than the cost.

If thats true, everyone would be using them by now. Its too good to be true, promises easy money, hence sketchy. Go search on google and see how many victims are there now.

100% accurate predictions don't exist
Who knows where are they getting these signals
Why would you trust an unknown person over the internet to handle your money?
