2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: September 23, 2022, 07:36:09 AM
But in mainland China, gambling is illegal. Is Jack Ma hoping to receive wide acceptance by ignoring the communist authorities? Jack Ma for sure knows that despite bitcoin, crypto, mining, and gambling being illegal, there are still probably millions of Chinese involved in it secretly. Rich Chinese though can easily evade the law since they can just go to HK or Macau or overseas and acquire an ID or even properties in order to be exempted.

This project though if realized including the casinos will be a problem for Jack Ma if the government will go against it. I am not updated if Jack Ma is still a member of the communist party after he went MIA last year.
2502  Economy / Economics / Re: Iranian launching Crypto Rial on: September 23, 2022, 07:15:07 AM
Not bad for a country adopting blockchain technology. But it would've been better if the Iranian government will back bitcoin too and legally accept it as a currency.

Are we expecting more CBDCs from many countries and faster than countries considering bitcoin as a legal tender? Many countries already have plans to launch their own CBDCs. Somehow I am expecting two to three more countries in a year or two to follow El Salvador and the Central African Republic in legalizing bitcoin as a currency.

2503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning From Trading Without Any Professional Knowledge on: September 23, 2022, 06:54:31 AM
No, that is not feasible. Without formal training, your only other option for making money in trading is to simply buy and hold your positions. Professional training doesn't always entail receiving instruction from an expert; instead, it refers to continually honing your own skills using any profitable trading strategy and making numerous trades until you are confident in it. The only method to profit from trading is in this manner.

What you mentioned as professional training is informal training or self-study. So yes, it is feasible to become good and earn decent returns in trading without the need for a professional expert.

Most people I know that are good traders learned it for free and without experts guiding them. It's more on the willingness and dedication to spend time and make effort in order to learn the many strategies and techniques in trading. Because everything can now be seen on the internet nowadays if we only have the diligence to look for them.

2505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 23, 2022, 06:14:14 AM
Things are getting more interesting in lightweight as Shakur Stevenson made it clear that he is heading north after failing to make 130 in his upcoming fight this weekend. He was stripped of his WBO and WBC belts which are still up for grabs if Conceicao manages to pull an upset.

Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia early this year mentioned that they will campaign at 140. So the big names in the division will be undisputed champion Devin Haney, Vasyl Lomachenko, Tank Davis, Shakur Stevenson, and George Kambosos if he can win the rematch.
2506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 23, 2022, 05:54:48 AM
It's a little strange to me how professional sports has gotten so anti-workplace relationships.  Cheerleaders are threatened with the loss of their job if they converse with players, even outside of the workplace.  Now coaches can't bang who they want (granted he was married to Nia Long so the guy is an idiot)...  I think maybe it's about time to stop policing relationships between consenting adults.  You know this sort of thing is happening all over the league in every sport.  Seems like the NBA is speeding down a slippery slope with this one.
Yeah, that's my question too. Why the suspension? Did the woman he banged didn't agree to it to make it a rape case?
I mean, if he has a wife then it's the wife that should file a case then the law will take care of it. I understand the Sarver case because many complaints were received inside the NBA environment but I don't know about this one with Udoka.
He is not yet telling any details or statements, just an apology. So he is guilty, but there are blanks.

Maybe the ethics committee in the NBA or Boston's management voted for Udoka's suspension. These NBA players and staff have written contracts pretty sure, every bad action they do represents the NBA and their teams too. I am surprised by the entire 2022-2023 suspension but it is what it is. So the betting odds favorite team this season is without its previous season coach.

Meanwhile, Philly's coach Doc Rivers has gone viral lately after being caught liking porn videos. Cheesy But this isn't ground for a penalty or suspension though. And they're trying to make an alibi that the account was hacked.
2507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 23, 2022, 05:34:20 AM
So Shakur Stevenson is stripped of his WBO and WBC belts. If Conceicao somehow manages to pull an upset then he can take the 2 belts. Although even if Shakur is having a hard time making the weight limit, I am still doubtful of an upset. For as long as Conceicao cannot make a clear win per round then he still can't take the judges' nods as Shakur is being built as the next big thing in boxing despite his lack of power.

After this fight, Shakur can take a tune-up at 135, and then he can take the winner of the Loma-Haney/Kambosos fight.
2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2022, 03:40:10 PM
I am just a bit sad at why it should be Lauri Markkanen that was traded but I guess the Jazz likes him because he is young and will be good for their rebuilding strategy.

They need to sacrifice him because they got a big fish, with Mitchell leading the team, there's a big chance this team will be a contender in the East, so hopefully our expectation will happen so Mitchell also at the same time can prove to the haters that he is not the problem on the Jazz.

I felt sad about Markkanen's reaction that he is now headed to Salt Lake. I like to see him play in a playoff team. So maybe it is because he is still young that Utah took him. So while waiting for Utah to materialize its future draft picks, I hope Markkanen can further improve his stats in his new no-hope team.

With regards to Mitchell, I think he was not the only problem but he was part of the problem during his time in Utah. There will be a lot of pressure again as he is still the main guy in Cleveland and the team is surrounded by good players capable of competing at the top.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 22, 2022, 03:20:41 PM
EDIT: I saw this on the news,

"Coppinger did note the contract has not yet been signed by Crawford or Spence as their lawyers "clean up" some of the legal language in the agreement.

Any ideas or thoughts on what are those legal languages on the agreement that they need to clean?
I forgot to answer this. I think it means that they need to put what's been agreed upon by both sides into a single formal contract. This fight is not yet done until officially signed by both fighters.

Another question, I believed when there's a rematch clause, it's not mandatory but optional. Am I right?
Only the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO can call for mandatory fights. So yes, a rematch clause when activated is an optional or voluntary fight.

From what I see, if Spence will win this match, he won't go for a rematch. What if that really happened? Can Bud force him for a rematch?
If Bud signs the contract without his right to a rematch then he cannot force Spence for a rematch if he loses.

According to the rematch clause, the winner of this current match will have a big slice of pizza on the rematch. In this match, Spence has the big slice. If he will won this match, it seems no changes after all on his purse split on the rematch. No big reason for him to fight Bud in a rematch. Thoughts?
There was a time when Bud proposed a 30/30 or 35/35 or 40/40 with the winner taking the reserved share but it was denied by Spence. We do not have the exact figures in the deal but we expect Spence to have the bigger share.

If Spence can win pretty easily and the PPV buys performed well and PBC and the network are still willing to guarantee huge amounts of money then Spence should do the rematch. But if it is a close one and Bud does not have a rematch clause then Spence should move up in weight if he wants to play it safe. He is already in his 30s and is only a 1 division champion, he needs to move up and win belts if he wants to enter the Hall of Fame.

This is the current trading volume taken from Coingecko. Its huge trading volume might be enough for Binance and Coinbase to follow soon. And its price starts to become steady now. I thought the dump would continue down to the $1 to $2 mark.
2512  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 21, 2022, 08:04:53 AM
...There are many negative effect of war but no profit...[/url]

I probably read all of the wars that are written in the books. And it is actually all about profit, either by land, power, religion, and ethnicity. Wars may be costly of course but those involved especially the aggressor calculated it already and made sure that it is all worth it.

So let's talk about the example which is the current Russian invasion of Ukraine. Do we really think Putin and his cabinets didn't expect heavy sanctions and losses coming? Of course, they analyzed as many possible outcomes. Russia believes that it is worth it to invade Ukraine in order to strengthen its position in the country and the possibility of stopping it from joining NATO. If Ukraine joins NATO then there is a high possibility that nukes will be installed. Crimea a part of Ukraine that was taken earlier by Russia has been a big naval base of the Russian navy since the old times and it will be in danger if Ukraine joins NATO.

Although Russia didn't expect the war to prolong I think it will end with the aggressor holding big Crimea and the rebel regions of Luhansk and Donetsk in the east. There are only over 200 million Russians and its vast lands are rich enough for them to recover its economic losses in the coming years.

I am not saying that I am a pro-Russian invasion here. I believe wars should be prevented at all costs. But as a long-time history and current events follower, I can see the Russian point of view.
2513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 21, 2022, 07:30:29 AM
No doubt about that! Haney's definitely have the higher hand here in this rematch while Kambosos's chances are much lower compared to their first encounter. We saw how Haney schooled Kambosos that made the latter look like an amateur boxer, we expected differently but Haney's IQ will always prevail compared to Kambosos.

He's more prepared, and he knows how to play Kambosos I mean like what you said he schooled Kambosos by not letting him to make a close conversion which may lead him to win, Haney's style is more on defense and just throw punches when he sees good opening, but in terms of wasted effort Haney is limited in doing that, and if that will be the same thing Kambosos chance to push Haney to engage with him do have smaller chance.

Haney will just keep what he got and let Kambosos to try cornering him, but the defense will be solid and with his quick hands countering and throwing converted punches is where he will rely.

This might be against the majority idea but I do not think that Kambosos will be idle like that without any planning and change of strategy.  I also think that Haney will be the crowd favorite but if Haney sticks to his boxing style during their first match and Kambosos found a way to crack it then we can probably be in for a surprise in this rematch.  Kambosos is capable of that act since he has done it during his fight against Lopez.

Since the rematch is in Australia then we can expect another pro-Kambosos crowd. But I won't be surprised if the crowd will be booing Kambosos if he won't let his hands go. Kambosos needs to punch in bunches otherwise he cannot out-jab a jabber. He cannot outpoint a technician. The answer is simple, he fights like what he showed in the Lopez fight and he will have a chance to win. Kambosos will become a laughing stock even in his native Australia if he losses easily to Haney in this rematch.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 21, 2022, 07:10:12 AM

No wonder there are such huge cuts only in MMA. It is impossible to make such a cut with boxing glove. Such cuts can occur in boxing after head clash or if a bloody bruise explodes. But boxing, imho, is much more traumatic, mainly because there is no pause (like clinch, ground game) from receiving punches. Last UFC was kinda bloody. If not mistaken, Gregory Rodrigues was not the only one to get a huge cut. Song Yadong also got a juicy elbow cut.

But that is nothing to Overeems smile Cheesy

Some good cuts can be found on Reddit (just scroll down, and in case link is broken, just google fighters name)

Yup! cuts in boxing were all due to headbutts, but likely boxing fighters will focus more on the head, which may cause head injuries, and concussions to boxers, but with cuts like that, I think it has just less risk with the MMA fights while on boxing boxer could have a trauma with his brain or it can cause brained damage,

That cut was pretty much because of Elbows and Song Yadong has taken it like a man, for me if the fight is not stopped by the doctors there might be a chance that Song Yadong can win this match,

That MMA cut for me is not really life-threatening it is still gruesome, but as you can see Overeem is still smirking although he got a bad lip cut injury, and the thing that surely can cause that head Concoction, was on the boxing part because they focus on hitting the head,

I also expect more cuts in MMA because fighters are allowed to use elbows and they can also kick. The worst cuts I saw in boxing so far were from Badou Jack, Travieso Arce, Vitali Klitschko, and Denis Lebedev.

I remember when UFC goes mainstream and Don King a former top boxing promoter tried to stop it calling MMA a barbarian and very brutal sport. It's been decades now and I cannot remember any deaths from the UFC. While boxing sadly has regular casualties over time. Boxing also has 12 3-minute rounds for a total of 36 minutes compared to UFC's 25 minutes. And boxing's only chance to stop its opponents is by knockouts or technical knockouts where most of the punches are towards the heads. Whereas there are many creative ways in the UFC to stop an opponent.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 21, 2022, 06:27:46 AM
Biggest news in the NBA today… LeBron has finally decided to go bald. No more crazy headband and hair plugs. I think this can only be a good thing for him. I’m expecting Bald Bron to go hard this year, as his championship window is rapidly closing. I’m glad his hairline won’t be a distraction any more. It seemed like that was taking up more of his time than it should have been.

That was crazy. Father time is indeed calling him not through his physical capacity but with his hair on his head. The hairline did not held back for long and just decided to get bald.
I am excited for the next season because there are a lot of young bloods who does looks promising. I wanna see how the old players like Lebron would catch up to the new generation players.

So it didn't take long enough, I think it was last year when I saw some LeBron fanatics making fun of KD's bald spot in the middle of his head. Anyways, I wish these 2 superstars to stay healthy and play at their best this coming season. Both players though are in tough positions.

LeBron and his team aren't all-in this coming season after the management's unwillingness to exchange their future first-round draft picks to avoid Westbrook this season and his $47 million salary. Imagine how many good role players or even a superstar can the Lakers take for that $47 million out of Westbrook.

KD on the other hand has 2 superstar teammates, Kyrie and Simmons but both can be dramatic and problematic to the team. I also wish KD to get out of Brooklyn so he can still maximize his potential.
2516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 21, 2022, 05:44:55 AM
The way PBC is treating Crawford, I don't they will be able to sign him if he beats Spence except for a 1 or 2 fights deal that would guarantee a title shot against undisputed super middleweight champion Jermell Charlo. After that, I think he is headed to DAZN.

As a knowledgeable in boxing, do you think that regardless of who will win on this match between Spence and Crawford, they will face Jermell Charlo next at the super middleweight?

Or a rematch is bound to happen first?

I really like that this fight between Spence and Crawford should happen now to now end the issues of who's the best in the Welterweight and finally will move on to their next plan.

EDIT: I saw this on the news,

"Coppinger did note the contract has not yet been signed by Crawford or Spence as their lawyers "clean up" some of the legal language in the agreement.

Any ideas or thoughts on what are those legal languages on the agreement that they need to clean?

There are rumors that there is a rematch clause. The way things are happening, it looks like Bud is sacrificing a lot just to make this fight become a reality. It is possible that the rematch clause is only given to Spence probably because he's the one prolonging this fight for many years. Time is not on Bud's side, he's nearly a year inactive and is already 35 years old, he needs to give in to nearly all of Spence's demands if he really wanted to become undisputed at welterweight before moving up to super welterweight. And Bud is currently without a promoter and a network after leaving Top Rank, so expect PBC and Showtime or Fox a little biased towards their fighter Spence.

If there is a rematch clause, then a rematch should happen first because undisputed Charlo is 7 pounds north. Charlo, Tank, Spence, and AB used to be very good friends, although there was a fallout between Tank and AB, I believe Jermell and Spence are still very good friends. But even if they are very close friends, I believe Charlo vs Spence is more doable than Charlo vs Bud. Spence already mentioned moving up in weight in the last few years although he never mentioned Charlo's name Currently, all the belts at 154 are owned by his close friend. I think it was Jermell (or maybe Spence) in an interview that mentioned that he is willing to fight his dear friend when the price is right. And the fact that Charlo and Spence are with PBC then it is more doable if both are serious.

Whereas Jermell Charlo already mentioned that he will not give Bud a free automatic shot at the 154 undisputed belts. He wants Bud to climb the rankings and earned his shot at the division. Although a WBO champion has the right to request to fight the other WBO champions in different divisions. This means Bud as the current WBO welterweight champion can actually activate his right to fight Charlo at 154. If Bud beats Spence pretty easily, I believe Charlo will vacate his WBO belt at 154 or maybe vacate all the belts at 154 and move up to 160.
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto has the highest potential?? on: September 20, 2022, 08:51:11 AM
I don't think there will be game-changing coins coming from the top 100. Next year is most likely in the same scenario as this year. This means everything depends on Bitcoin in general. But I expect some unknown coins to pump until they reach their market caps in tens or hundreds of millions in dollars.

Everybody is looking forward to the year 2024 when the halving happens. When Bitcoin is moons, altcoins will follow. And then comes another all-time high in 2025. No different from the previous years. Unless we can see a lot of adoptions from rich and developed countries. So far we only have El Salvador and the Central African Republic as countries recognizing Bitcoin and crypto as currencies.

It is weird that there are still many people using 1xbit when it has a lot of scam accusations all over in this forum. It's been red-tagged for a while now.

There are a lot of betting platforms here that are reliable. I myself was able to experience more than 10 of the crypto betting sites. For now, I only have 2 active accounts in BK8 and Sportsbet. I don't have any major issues with them, minor issues were addressed very quickly. They have quick deposits and withdrawals too. High competitive odds also matter to me.
2519  Economy / Economics / Re: China's debt bomb looks ready to explode on: September 20, 2022, 07:36:58 AM
Exactly. The Chinese were smart enough that is why they are now the second largest economy in the world and are probably the second world power after the US.

The main reason why they have the second GDP in the world is that there are a billion of them  Grin
If China would have only 100 million it would be the size of Mexico, just a bit above the Netherlands.

This thing about having the largest or second or third GDP but just because of the population is misleading, China has the second GDP in the world but it has the 55th or 61th nominal GDP per capita, just like India is 5th or 6th overall depending on sources but below 150 per capita.
Of course, there is a good partt as it's easier to double the revenue of a guy who earns 100$ than the one who is making 100k, but at the same time, with China facing a population decline that might be already happening this year the growth will be completely erased.

Not saying that they haven't grown far faster than other counties which were in the same situation back in the 80 or 2000, but numbers are sometimes misleading.

The Chinese One Child Policy has been stopped a few years ago. In the last 3 decades, Chinese population growth was so low and the One Child Policy will have a long-lasting effect in the next decades to come. Soon China will have a huge aging population and there will be a population decline and maybe it started already. The Chinese government utilized its huge population for cheap labor to drive its economy. But now, China is shifting from labor dependent to becoming an investing nation. China will have a declining population but its economy will continue to grow. This means that the population is not the main factor anymore. Its GDP per capita will continue to rise.

So it might be change on him, perhaps coming off the bench. So there will be a lot of experiments on coach Ham, on how he will have to find the perfect fit in this new Lakers.

Speaking of coming off the bench, there's a rumor that Westbrook might probably become a part of the Lakers' backup squad for the first time in his career since his rookie days. Westbrook is always part of the starting lineup the entire his career.

Schroder will now be the starting PG adding to that.

Maybe part of Coach Darvin Ham's plan. Let's see.

I cannot imagine Russell Westbrook's feelings and emotions right now upon knowing that Schroeder his former backup in OKC is the one to start and he is now the backup PG. Although I am not that sure if Westbrook has grown enough to be mature but I still doubt the guy. But if the Lakers cannot send Westbrook out then they will make history. I guess this is the first time in basketball history that a backup PG is paid $47 million for a single season.  Cheesy

With San Antonio and Utah losing their superstars, I would expect the Lakers to easily qualify for the playoffs next season. I am also curious if Dallas is becoming stronger next season or weaker. They lost Jalen Brunson but maybe Christian Wood and the other players will step up, especially Dinwiddie in the PG position.
