And then we see them lost big against the resurging Celtics, makes you wonder if Harden has jinx the team already even if he is not yet playing, lol.
LOL.  Grin
Kind of sad for the guy. He had been working hard on his career to achieve a championship but it had always been just close to it but can never reach out.
I wish he finds his new home in the 76ers. Maybe he has not found it yet with OKC, Rockets, and even with the Nets. This time if he gets along with Embiid then maybe they will become one of the formidable pairs of the league.

Phoenix Suns got another win from a close game against the Clippers. CP3 is getting better and better whenever his team is cornered and he showed it once again. Clippers on the other hand are making progress, trading Bledsoe may have affected positively for them.

Yeah, individually, Harden has accomplished a lot in his career, but as far as teaming up with other superstar it seems it has not work for him. They are close to the finals and beating the GSW if not for the injury of Chris Paul and I think that is the closest that he can get. After that they traded Paul and it's all on him. And yet he still failed, lose his enthusiasm to play with the Rockets asking to be traded and then he goes to the Nets. And now he is again on his new team. Not a hater of Harden, but I remember the late Kobe Bryant in an interview saying that kind of play will not bring him a ring and that is so true.

^^ Yeah, it will be good if Kambosos will give Loma the chance to get back his title. I guess this is a good fight for Kambosos as well because he will be facing one of the best technical fighters we have currently. It's going to be a big test for him. He already did it once against Lopez, beat and pull one of the biggest upset. So let's see if he can make it 2 in row against Loma.
2563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 16, 2022, 10:21:34 AM
Just like that, Drake made a millions as he bet on Rams. I wonder if he only bet on Stake and not with the other site. Also, congrats to those who place their bet, I was able place mine and now I’m happy with the result. Looking forward for the next Million bet of Drake, maybe in NBA next.

I'm looking at the bet slip and it show that his bet is on Beckham to run he'd run 62.5 receiving yards.

Did Beckham got 62.5 receiving yards?

But yeah if he bet straight up with the Rams, he won his bet.

And then Beckham scoring a touchdown as well. So it's a big win for Drake, but need someone to confirm his bet on the receiving yards for Odell.
He has placed three bets. One is on the winning. He won the bet as Rams won the match. The next one is the Odell Beckham Jr over 62.5 receiving yards, and this is a lost bet. The last one is the Odell Beckham anytime touch down, which is a win for him.

Ok thanks for the clarification, if not for Odell getting injured it could be 3 out of 3 win for Drake.

But then again, a win is still a win so this is a classic example on how whales really make huge profits in gambling. Big capital even though the odds are not that huge, the returns are still profitable for them.

I guess the OP can close this thread for good, we already have a super bowl champion.

One last thing though, that halftime presentation, dope, one of the best if not the best super bowl halftime (maybe just next to Beyonce performance).  Smiley

A lot of countries are releasing/ contemplating to release their own digital currencies. EU is contemplating digital euro, Jamaica is thinking of digital Jamaican dollar.. India has already launched digital rupee..
How these currencies will affect the bitcoin/crypto ecosystem?

You forget about China as well and Russia who had their CBCD already.

It doesn't have any effect to the bitcoin/crypto market because obviously it is very different. These CBCD's are in the control of the government so it's fully centralised. These government are just taking advantage of the situation and uses the blockchain technology for their advantage. So this is like the local fiat, only this time it is in digital form. And you can't even trade it on exchanges so that's another main difference.
2565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 15, 2022, 03:27:44 PM
Somehow we can say that its a good trade on their side since they got Seth and Drummond which we know that they can contribute on both defense, ofense and perfectly fit on the play they set so parting ways of harden will not totally a huge lose for them. And we can say that Nets is totally a strong team now. I'm just wandering if Sixers will be lucky for the addition of harden since they don't know yet if he will be the same on his rocket days also if he will sign again on his current team.
That's what they need, a defensive power. Seth and Drummond are the best definition of defense. While Drummond defend the players who are attacking the paint, Seth could give a hand at defending point guards which he is good at and we witnessed it while he was defending his own brother Steph.
76ers just lost two of their best players in exchange for 1 offensive that we don't know if he could really provide what the 76ers need.
I guess we will just need to see it at hand first before we could justify the decision.

I think Drummond is a good addition, I mean LA is there, but we all know that he is no longer at his prime together with Blake at the middle. But with the addition of Drummond, who I think is doing a good job with the Sixers as manning the middle, and now moving to the Nets, he somewhat a big factor for the team to really up and beef up their defense in the middle. Nash will have to give him a lot of time to play instead of LA and Blake at the center position. And that's why majority thinks that the Nets is the winning in this blockbuster trade because they have given so much just to get Harden and we don't know how he will blend with the team.

2567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 14, 2022, 02:51:09 AM
Garcia is younger and his career is being hyped by Goldenboy, it wouldn't be surprising that he is matched to an old boxer that seem willing to lose. Just my hunch though. But this Emmanuel though I have no idea who he is looks very experience.

This is another cherry pick for him and for sure he will get a lot of fluke for choosing an old boxer for his comeback fight. He has been calling the other champions in this division though but choosing an unknown fighter? Nah.

I'll still be rooting for Garcia. This match is designed to make Garcia look promising.

Of course, maybe we will see Garcia with his signature left hook from the Reynoso camp. So he will be the outstanding favorite as far as betting goes. Maybe 1.0x in the opening line, so for us bettors, we might be looking for a knock out run to have a better odds.
2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 13, 2022, 01:16:31 PM
congrats @YuginKadoya, that was a 'PROFIT". Smiley

My early pick.

Game : Hawks vs Celtics.

Trae Young is listed probable this Sunday,
https://www.numberfire.com/nba/player-news/192108/trae-young-hip-probable-for-atlanta-on-sunday

However, the spread is strange, I think Celtics will continue their win streak and they'll beat the Hawks and cover the spread.
I'm with a team with a great momentum, so I'm sticking with my instinct.

Yes, tailing this one, and this game is going to be in TD Garden so for sure Celtics is going to look to impressed their fans because as of late they are on a streak.

And they can cover the spread of -6.5, specially if Trae Young and Collins are out in this game.

Celtics is averaging double digit win in their last couple of games so I will not be surprised if this trend will continue.
2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: February 13, 2022, 12:33:35 PM
^^ I'm not sure about this project though, by the name itself, this is another meme coin, meaning it doesn't have a real use case, except for pump and dump scheme.

Of course I'm not generalizing new projects, but usually you will know if the project is solid or legit by the naming convention. Like when devs follow the bandwagon of Shiba Inu, lots of project popping around with Shiba or Inu in the name.
2570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 13, 2022, 10:44:41 AM
Jerwin Ancajas is the next Manny Pacquiao, very classy and definitely one of the best Filipino boxer out there.
We must not try to put such a pressure upon any boxer, there was only one Manny Pacquiao, there have been many great boxers before Manny and there will be a lot of great ones after him, but each one of them will create their own story, if we place such high expectations over someone then most likely they will fail, whether because they will fail to live up to that image or because they will become conceited on their skill and they will not reach their full potential as they believe the are great already.

They can always make their own name in the boxing ring. There's no need to chase the record of Pacquiao.
If they will do their best and create a dent in the boxing history, that's more than enough to be proud of.
They have their own time to shine. So long they are doing their part as a boxer - training hard and aim for the best.
That would be more than enough in my opinion. They can always aim high for themselves though.
I go with that mindset. It's better for them to create their own destiny,

Instead of comparing or being the next Pacman, it's much better to be known with a self identity
as long as they are excelling with this sport, pinoy fans will recognize them and idolized them, many
young generations will follow the path that they are journeying right now. Good luck to every pinoy
fighters and continue to work harder.

Exactly, there is only one Manny Pacquiao and no one can duplicate what he has done to Philippine boxing and boxing in general. He proved a lot during his prime, moving up in weight and fighting big guys.

What the rest of the Filipino boxers right now is to take inspirations from him, but not necessarily trying to do, like going up in weight class because that is a hard thing to do. Donaire for instance have tried to go up in weight but was knock out.
2571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 13, 2022, 09:34:22 AM
1-1 for me for the FAA vs Rublev and Tsitsi vs Lehecka.

Amazing win though by FAA it seems that he has experience or found some confidence in his game.

Now he will be up for the finals against Tsitsipas, I will go over the bet in this match. This could go 3 sets easily.
2572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't have a bright future anymore on: February 13, 2022, 08:45:56 AM

Good coins are Eth, Terra luna,Bnb

Lol, good luck as well to your altcoins portfolio. Just to explain though, the market works in cycle, we have the bulls wherein bitcoin and other altcoins like the one you mentioned are going to reach a new all time high. And after that, a bearish trend, so what you are seeing is a bearish cycle, what you gonna say when bitcoin hit's 5 digit in the next bull run? still doesn't have a good future?

And just to add to that, ETH, Terra, BNB and Luna and the rest of the altcoins is still dependent on the price of bitcoin. So it bitcoin goes down, and so is the majority of the altcoin market. So what the OP said just contradicts everything.

And for the record, if you are talking about supply, those altcoin has literally more than bitcoin. So bitcoin is going to be in demand in the future.

Just wait for the next bull run and we might see bitcoin going more than $100k.
2573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: February 13, 2022, 05:07:39 AM
Another great fight to be coming this year , while I have Known Oscar Valdez for long but Stevenson is new to my ear.

But like what I have been seeing , I will Wait for OP's position to whom to bet because I know How expert @bisdak40 in boxing and Basketball so Yes will be betting with Him if he would share the chances here ..

Stevenson was actually trying to make this fight happen for a long time. He had been asking for Valdez to fight with him but he seems unheard. Not until he got his champion belt last year. Although Stevenson isn't a veteran fighter yet in boxing he did a fair fight to earn respect.

If Valdez gave an impressive knockout against Robson Conceicao, this fight against Stevenson will probably not happen. Which promoters led to believe Stevenson is the way to end Valdez's reign. Stevenson is defensive like Conceicao and can box twice as hard.

Both undefeated both at the height of this career, this is a fight worth watching, we can compare this fight to Spence - Crawford in terms of caliber and excitement as both fighters are titleholders and own undefeated records, both fighters are hungry for big money and recognition there's a possibility that this two fighters will not fight each other once it has the making of a rematch or even trilogy.

Valdez's weakness had been exposed when he fought against Conceicao actually. It's the last fight that he struggled which if you look at the mess on Valdez's face, it's obviously Conceicao's favor and if it weren't for the 1 point deduction against Conceicao the fight would have been a draw. The promotion is looking for someone who can simulate Conceicao and the perfect match is Stevenson.

Not defending Valdez but it seems that the news about him caught by a ban substance might have influence his performance here. For sure there could be some mental effects on him that's why his performance is not that good and Conceicao was able to take advantage of it. Too bad though of the deduction on points, but I think Valdez will still have won that fight.
2574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk net worth is like the entire market cap of Ethereum on: February 12, 2022, 10:06:06 PM
Elon musk net worth is like the entire market cap of Ethereum.

Think about how rich this man if he put all of his money on eth it doubles overnight.

let me know your opinions.

It is obvious, but remember that majority of his assets are liquid so no put in investing all in Ethereum.

But I get your point though, investing is really good if you know how to double your wealth in crypto. But it is a big risk that maybe a few can take that risk. A example that a remember is that guy who sold everything way back in 2017 and invest all his money on bitcoin and travel the world with his family. Not sure what happen to him today, but if he had sold last November when we had an all time high on bitcoin then he has more than doubled his money.
2575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 12, 2022, 12:02:25 PM
^^ I like the -4.5 for Stefanos Tsitsipas here, I think he can cover this spread and should be well rested. Don't want to end in 2-0 set though as the chances of that spread is slim. Most likely a 3 set victory is good to cover it.

Same with Rublev s FAA, Rublev -1.5 and over 23.5. It will be a great battle but I'm seeing Rublev winning in a close 3 set match.
2576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 12, 2022, 11:22:17 AM
Celtics - Nuggets was a very competitive game and the happy side at the end was Celtics by 108-102. But I would like to point out that Nuggets are doing still very well while they are feeling the absence of Jamal Murray. Jokic played great again as always. He was nearly the most scorer of the game too and he got a nice triple-double. Nuggets are very likely to reach the playoffs now and Jokic's role in this success will be very big. And as of that stage, we will see how far they will be able to go.

Jamal Murray though has a season ending injury last year. So they have been operating this season without him and I would say doing good with the reigning MVP. But I haven't watch the game though, just monitor the score but I'm not surprised that the game will really be close. The Celtics though is hot right now and it was a good win for them, offsetting Jokic's triple double.
2577  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2022, 09:35:40 AM
I don't think this is the best time to buy bitcoin for the long term. Though there was a recent bounce from support to 32к, I would rather wait for a correction. I agree with those who say that the price is still going to fall. But in the long term we might see 100k.
Your only problem.is that you don't know when will the correction happen and also it's worth mentioning that if you're going for long-term then it's not really your problem of how much is the prices currently because if bitcoin were to grow then you're still going to get profit and you will look back at the time when it was at this price. Don't be too indecisive when it comes to getting into the market, we don't know if this is the last time that we're going to see that price.

It's not a problem per se, everyone didn't know what will be the top price and similar, the floor price. But as you have said, if you are for the long haul then just buy at your convenient and hold for a long time. And we think that we are in a bear market for this year so it's a great opportunity to buy cheap bitcoin and wait like in the next couple of years to sell.
2578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, led by Changpeng Zhao, is taking a $200 million stake in Forbes on: February 11, 2022, 03:21:44 PM
Mainstream news media company publishes a negative article on Binance. Owner of Binance buys news media company hehehe.
Why negative ? I don't think this is a negative thing

Quote
I reckon Binance is taking a different marketing strategy from FTX in expanding their business to a more mainstream market. We have already witnessed FTX, crypto.com and some projects in the cryptospace partner themselves with sports teams and sports businesses to connect to a mainstream audience. It appears the crypto takeover might only be beginning.
Binance has also partnered with several sports teams, and sponsored african football, if now he invests in media platforms I think they just want to spread their wings to all fields.

I think mainstream media has been criticizing CZ for whatever reason. And I would add that it is not just Binance but even before the emergence of Binance and CZ in the market, mainstream media is very negative about bitcoin and crypto in general.

Maybe this is CZ's crusade, So he start with the oldest publication in the world and work his way up maybe other social media stream in the future.
2579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 11, 2022, 01:57:32 PM
It's really depends on individual preferences. Of course those who have been a early bagholders will say that it is the best investment they ever have because of the huge returns. But for those who have been investing in the last 2 years, maybe the returns is not that big. Good for you if you have made big money in the last 3 years, not sure how you did it, but the majority I suspect will struggle unless they really bought it at March 2020 wherein we have the lowest low and then hold it, and sold off at ATH.
2580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 11, 2022, 12:26:10 PM
I think that there's no concrete evidence about it yet because the word used is "looks like" and if ever it is indeed March or April then I think by now they've posted about it already because it's only a few weeks away.

I think there's something to this news. I could find more sites that claim the fight is going to happen on a later date.
http://fightnights.com/event-3236

Hopefully that date is fixed but just like you said, there's no solid information yet about the exact date of this fight. The Japanese government are still restricting these kind of events that will certainly gather large crowd, as of now, they're slowly getting back to normal so I suppose we will get some announcement or updates few weeks from now.

I guess other countries are already lowering the restrictions, so there's a big chance that we will witness the said fight soon. In the Philippines, our local basketball league has already resumed, so I think this gives a signal that the world were able to battle the omicron virus and the cases are already decreasing.

Yes, even Australia, who has one of the longest lockdown, seems to be easing as well including their borders. So soon, Japan might follow and allow all sports to resume in their country. So expect that this fight is going to resume once everything has been smoothen out by the Japanese government. There could be some restrictions in place, but at least they will allow to continue it to happen in their country.
