"1.5 Billion Users Could Be Exposed to Bitcoin and Crypto’s Underlying Tech As Social Media Giant Explores Blockchain Use Case"

Quote
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is exploring blockchain technology for users of the world’s largest social media platform. If implemented, Facebook’s 1.52 billion daily active users would interface with blockchain technology when logging in to their accounts.

I don't really care for sports, but, did Malmö win?

I just read that 63% of all Europeans comes, on a straight male line, from only four men that lived in the bronze age. Now that's being successful.

I'm going to counterbalance some of the jbreher negativity with a positive comment:

jbreher is a net asset to the WO thread, and I'm glad he's here.

I strongly disagree, in fact he is the only one I would like to see permabanned from this thread.

Replace merits with Lightning tips lol  Huh

Out of merits, but it's an excellent idea.

Going to break 4k, are we?

Didn't we already do that a month or so ago?
I fail to see the wow factor in that, just normal volatility.
It's because we're showing more evidence of it reversing.

Nah, it's too early for that, we have several more months sideways to look forward to.
I'll be glad if I'm wrong, but I'm probably not.

I would say you are both right and wrong Wink

We have bottomed and yes we have several more months of sideways.

pish tosh

I would say you are both right and wrong.

You are right about the sideways.

But there's plenty of room yet for a stab down to the dark side.

I'd even prefer it that way.

I'll bet you a litecoin?

I will take it if Hairy won't.

I will wager 1 LTC we have already seen the bottom of this bear market.  That is, it will not go lower than 3122.

Suggest period of wager is until Dec 31 2019, or we go over 7500 on Stamp in USD (or under 3122) - whichever is sooner?

Edited for clarity.

I will also take that bet, if those terms are accepted by Mr V8.

By the way, Isn't the phrase in the movie "the last of the interceptors" or something like that?
Haven't seen it since the 80s but that's my memory of it. Gonna check the internet for that now.

@Arriemoller  Are you taking the bet with Hairy? or with kurious or both?

With none, Mr V8 is taking it with Mr Hairy if I remember correctly.

micG is all about positive and wishfull thinking, all the F***ing way down and all the happy way UP

I get all bummed out, introverted, pensive, reserved, quiet, and generally lack a certain "spring in my step" when we're down and plumbing the depths in Bitcoinlandia.

Rick has noticed and commented on it recently. I think it's bumming the dude out - as well - to see me so bummed, and it's just a viciously cruel circle that's formed.

Again, this is going to veer off into mega-asshole-post territory, and I sincerely apologize for it, but would like to be honest with you guys about my feelings regarding the corn.

I know it's absolutely shameful of me to have recognized and admit that "All I want out of life right now, is to sell just $1M more USD of Bitcorn, above $10k USD, and I'll be perfectly happy for at least the next 10 years."

Then in the next breath, I instantly think about how lucky and blessed I have been, HODLing steady, and believing in this silly corn thing, long-term. Fully recognizing the bounty and privileges the corn has provided me already, and I'm all like "I'm such a dick. Surely I must be taunting the fates some how wishing for more, when I've been bestowed a bounty well beyond any childhood dreams and aspirations I've had."

My finance and legal contacts all respond with "Brother, these are good problems to be having. You should try to find time to enjoy life more, and not be so stressed out."

If only it were that easy.

Totally veering off into meta territory, I'm having genuine issues with the human condition, philosophy, and society-as-a-whole, lately. A lot of personal/business crap IRL has been weighing heavily on me as well, to add to the shit-sandwich.

Anyway, HODL on, HODLers.

Come on Bob, stiff upper lip.
Ceep calm and hodl.

The next 24 hours are critical as always. If we keep the momentum, a breakout above 4K  is possible. This will comfirm that we are in a bull market. Longs are pretty high and shorts are low. The support down to $3K is double than the previous 2 weeks - in BFX went from 6K to 11.2K BTC. We didn't have a rise this week, so a breakout is more probable than a long squeeze.  We shall see.

Give it a rest, we are going sideways till Q4, get used to it.

And you were saying??? Technically, the pump started within the 24 hours period and the breakout of 3.6 (3.7 BFX) opens the doors for 4k. At the moment of writing this post we were below 3.6 (3.7 BFX).

Going from 3600 to 4000 is still sideways. Besides it's just temporary.

Also check out Metformin, a diabetes pill that is now under testing for prolonging life.
https://www.wired.com/story/this-pill-promises-to-extend-life-for-a-nickel-a-pop/
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02432287

yeah...watch out if they will find something positive...immediately the price would go from 5c to $100-1k a pill.
It would be worth it, right?
I remember how during the first swine flu the cost of a weekly dose of tamiflu went from $10-20 to $300 or higher on the internet (local pharmacies were out for months).
It was worth it as well, just as $20 per btc tx was in December of 2017. People went crazy trying to get in the block immediately.

Not a problem if you get it on a prescription where I live (max price for meds is  240ish USD per 12 month period, some, like insulin, are no cost.

Yeah but how do you get this in prescription without getting type 2 diabetis? Smiley

Thats a good point.

Great idea.
Like jojo said .999 Ag, size of a dollar coin, and some cool scifi design.
I would love that, great initiative.

Actually age is degradation in the cells.

When you are younger they regenerate fine.

The challenge is to halt or reverse this degradation.

I believe there are current successful studies, stimulating the repair function back into order.

That's the whole "senescent cells" approach. Basically tries to kill senescent cells (cells that stop dividing) which accumulate with age. Human trials are starting this year by the way.

I know a bit about this approach, called senolytics. One problem is that aging is not considered a disease, so companies have to pursue some aging effects indirectly.
However, senolytics do not significantly increase the lifespan (so far), but they do affect the 'healthspan'. In animal trials, older mice became more healthy, but the average life duration was not affected. There were similar preliminary results (first part) in a first pre-clinical human trial.

A typical senolytic cocktail includes desatinib and quercetin.
Medical grade desatinib is expensive and is an anti-cancer drug needing prescription, so, personally, I decided not to bother with sourcing it for a simple reason that we would probably have something better (less toxic) in 5-10 years.
Quercetin, on the other hand, is readily available, is a naturally occurring molecule (present in apple's peels and in blueberries), so i did try it for a month, which is what one clinical trial did.
No discernible effects one way or another, apart from feeling slightly better (a bit more "robust"), but, of course, I did not do a proper study, so it could be purely psychological.
I would probably pause for a month and do it again. Three weeks on D+Q was the duration of the first human trial, so i also used a similar time frame (without D).

Fuck you TDA8954!  I hope I never see your like again.
