2821  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistake I made till now investing on crypto projects. on: April 29, 2022, 08:48:35 PM
Ohhhh this list is amazing. I have made some of these mistakes and learned the same lessons, even needed some of these lessons to be fair even though I have been around for many years, nearly a decade. I have to say there is never enough mistakes, we just make them all the time and no matter how long you have been here, you keep making those same mistakes all over again.

I am afraid it is not going to be that easy to just watch the list and check every box before you invest, if it was like that then none of us would have made any mistakes. But, it is clearly important to learn from our mistakes and get lessons like this so that we never repeat them again.
2822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You guys think pancakeswap messed up this time? on: April 29, 2022, 08:12:35 PM
When you change some things in these tyep of places, it does return to be a bad decision most of the time because people like to just hold things, for the long term and if you disrupt them then there is nothing that you could convince 100% of the people to come back and be happy as they used to be.

I know not many people may realize this, but there is a huge huge huge part of the crypto world that just buys, and holds for as long as possible and changing things, even for the better if you think so, will not end up with something that will result with a good return because people who do not want to be disturbed will have to do something and some of them may leave.
2823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: April 29, 2022, 06:50:31 PM
Picking any exchange would be hard, I will give you that much. Even if you are dealing with places like Binance or Coinbase, it could become a difficulty because they require KYC and they could still get hacked in a way that your KYC could be shared with the world.
KYC should be serious problem for us, and why we have to worry about this policy ? isn't we want to maximize our security layer to protecting our account. and passing KYC could help to protect, maybe hackers will have trouble when withdrawing our assets but have different name on bank account and receiver. honestly i am feel comfort if asked to pass this stagge, beside for security reason my account limitation could increase.
There is a double edge sword in that situation. If you give your KYC and then report to the exchange that your account is hacked then they could stop the account and then ask you your KYC and you give it to them and they will open it to you only and you will get your account back that way.

This is the great part, which happened to me (sort of) where I forgot my password and didn't had access to my email, so they asked my KYC and I sent them a new picture and they accepted it and I got access. But the downside is the one that I talked about, it is risky because we may not be the ones that get hacked, it could be them that gets hacked as well, which is a problem.
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Need a second opinion on the new CAKE staking system on: April 29, 2022, 05:42:24 PM
It’s cake, it’s the pancakeswap, it’s the place that is the biggest defi in all of bsc, if you do not trust them then you are making a huge mistake. The returns may not look great to you, but you should not invest and stake based on your staking income at all, you should consider it like any other token or coin. If you buy it, and the price does 2x then that is why you invested and you should be happy about it. If the staking rewards give you something in return during that period it is even better.

It is not the staking rewards that should attract you, if you are investing just for that then stay away, but if you believe the price of cake will go up, and you "might as well" stake, that’s a better approach.
2825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 29, 2022, 03:19:16 PM
I think Xavi will be keen on keeping Frenkie De Jong, he has been instrumental to the revival of Barcelona since Xavi took over, winning valuable points for the team. If Barcelona would ever allow him leave which I think won't be a smart decision, swapping him with Rashford is even worse of a decision. If Manchester United desperately need Frenkie they should spend the money not giving Barcelona Rashford for the bargain.
I wouldn't blame him if he didn't though. I mean Rashford is definitely a horrible swap, a player that worth’s 110 million should be sold directly, and if you are getting a player in return, it should still be paid on top of that and a huge sum as well. But, if United spends 110 million on De Jong then they won't be able to pay anyone else at that point. This is why I believe that either this will not happen or it will happen straight up.

Xavi likes De Jong for sure but with 110 million he could get 2 Ferran Tores level players and that would be al ot better for the team in the long run. They need to pay their debts as well and selling a player would help a lot.
2826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 28, 2022, 09:37:27 PM
Everyone is talking about how PSG squad is good and all, but if you remove Mbappe from it, is it really still looking that good to you? Don't get me wrong they are still fine, but this is the same team that lost to Lille and failed to win the league just a year ago with Mbappe on the roster, you think they would be great without him?

Possibly another win for the league for sure, but they would be much worse compared to other european giants. They lost with this roster to Real Madrid and they will lose Mbappe on top of that. I feel like it is not just about the manager change, their roster is not as great as people think it really is.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teach me to invest in NFTs. on: April 28, 2022, 08:15:45 PM
Have you considered not investing? I mean we are not talking about something big here, it's just NFTs and you do not have to invest into it. You could avoid it, and invest into something else if you want to, there wouldn't be a shame in it. I personally do not invest into NFTs, and I have been doing fine thanks to my investments in more legit stuff.

The real question is, why do you want to invest into NFTs? Is it because you learned that you could get them at the mint value and then sell them quicker so you could get richer and very quickly? Maybe you have seen some instagram posts where people get NFTs for cheap and sell for 50k and that's how they get rich? Do you want to get in because of things like that? Because that's one in a million and that won't be you.

It's not always the money that gets stolen, the hackers would steal anything they could find, even if it is just staff names type of simple stuff. This means that we need to be careful when picking them. This is why I have suggested my friend who got in recently to use p2p, then use DEX and when he wanted to get out, use p2p again. This is the best method for your own privacy to stay intact.
2829  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: April 28, 2022, 06:56:40 AM
I agree that people are overreacting on the energy situation, it is not something that we should care about anymore thanks to this Russia-Ukraine war. Everyone forgets that even though oil has been a thing that destroyed the world so far, it is getting lesser and lesser important with the renewable energy world getting much bigger attention these days.

Maybe Europe can't just dig out their own oil from the ground, but they can certainly go with the wind turbines and solar panels which would help it a lot, and since they do not want to deal with Russia anymore, I am sure they will get it quicker compared to what would have been before the war.
2830  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Legal Tender in Central African Republic on: April 28, 2022, 05:12:58 AM
Wow, Jesus Christ, this looks like a real thing and not a fake news. I read the title of the topic and assumed it was a fake one but turns out it is real. I didn't believe it at first because I believed that it would be known way way before, like I would have heard about it on news like how it happened with El Salvador.

I think they attacked El Salvador at first because of the legal tender deal, and it backfired on them so much that they do not even made this into news everywhere like that one so that it wouldn't get heard. This legal tender situation is becoming bigger, if we get even just one decent sized nation to do this, it is going to change the world.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Record 512 Million XRP Shifted by Ripple and Unknown Wallets on: April 27, 2022, 06:40:53 AM
If the story about uphold being the one that moved these, then I do not see this as a problem, it is just exchange moving their funds and that is expected. However, if this is something else, if there is a difference to it, then I would have to say that this could have been an issue for people as well. That shiba whale was a scary situation because it's shiba and it's volatile and it is pure hype filled memecoin and nothing else.

XRP is a bit different since it is "used" for something, still a shitty centralized currency that I hate, but I have to give them where their credit is due and say they are at least more serious than shiba, everything is more serious than shiba to be fair.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 26, 2022, 09:41:31 PM
Newcastle do have a good attack but their defence I think is horrible to be up against City or Liverpool,,, not as disciplined as Crystal Palace or Brighton, so I would say the danger is indeed that Newcastle could snatch a win at Liverpool.

Concede first and concede too many though,,, and it is game over because then the feeling of panic in the big team is gone.

However Spurs on the other hand panics all of the time  Grin
Newcastle can't be that good for "now", however they have already spent like 100+ million on this team in the second part of the season after the takeover happened. I mean they were clearly in the relegation zone and they have been getting better and better results and took them higher. I am not saying that they can't beat Liverpool, in football I could believe even Norwich beating Liverpool, it's football.

Something like that happened I believe recently, Watford beat Liverpool as the first team to beat them one season, that must have been the season where pandemic made them give a break, 2 seasons ago or so if I am not wrong. Imagine a world where the team that relegated was the first team to beat Liverpool who went unbeaten for 30 games or so until then. But Newcastle would be shocked about beating Liverpool as well.
2833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price of Litecoin 2022? on: April 26, 2022, 11:14:10 AM
Actually Litecoin had a good performance last year because it looks like going to the moon during the rally, wherein from August to November and it almost break the $300 level.
But that seems to be trap , because what litecoin had now is completely dumping like how it happens after the changing of management .
this is alerting for the investors and holders.
There isn't really a "reason" needed for things like litecoin after a while. The "team" is not a team, it is a foundation that proposes some stuff time to time but they do not even have to. The reality is that we do not get new stuff from satoshi, which means bitcoin is not getting constantly marketed by a team, nor does it offer a guaranteed high development by a team neither.

Litecoin doesn't need that too, it is a crypto that was created in 2011, that is all you need and it is decentralized like crazy, and the "team" is just a few litecoin lovers who code some stuff once every 2-3 years and asks "do you guys want to use this?" and you either say yes or no. That is the real value there.
2834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your take of NFTs? on: April 26, 2022, 09:04:11 AM
In that hype, if you are sober and wise enough, you can be completely confident that you will make a profit, but conversely, many people are still skeptical because they do not position themselves. self-knowledge when participating in that space. I'm just blindly following sources and having no insight from myself, on strategies to generate income with this trend. I have also tested and gone through all kinds of emotional ladders, so I'm pretty neutral.  After that, I still want to direct people not to be too complicated with all the information in this market, buy BTC, that's all.
The "buy btc, that's all" is a great advice, if you are not sure about what you want to buy or what you should buy then buying BTC is definitely you should focus on. However, if we are talking about something that is profitable for many but you still feel like you are scared about it and do not want to get in, then maybe it could be beneficial for you to find others who are hyped about it and ask them.

If they can explain to you why they are so hyped about it, then you could probably get into it as well, they could convince you. The "reason" why they are hyped, could cause you to get hyped if it is a logical reason. If not, just keep it in BTC that's it.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 26, 2022, 07:01:27 AM
It's almost like they are resting at every attack the Nuggets make. It's not an error, they are just not on the same energy level as before but I think they will pour it all at their homecourt and get it done.
The Nuggets on the other hand should expect that. If they still want to continue the fight then they better be as explosive as they are here in Game 4.
I may try to bet for them if the handicap is fair.
Can you blame them though? I mean they were up 3-0 in the series and now they are up 3-1, that's good enough that they could take an active break during the game and not really push themselves.

If they won that would have been even sweater because they could have taken a long break until the second round starts, but at the same time we are talking about not tiring yourself out too much, these are playoffs and you need to stay fresh as well and taking a too long of a break compare to another team who could be on fire at that moment coming from a win could result with something worse. Hence, I believe 4-1 is a great result if they can make that happen, even 4-2 would be fine.
2836  Economy / Economics / Re: Im ready to adond all banks and my friends also dont need banks anymore on: April 25, 2022, 08:15:34 PM
I am ready as well but the world is not. I could literally leave every single bank and just live purely full-time in crypto if I could. But all the places I go to works with banks and doesn't accept bitcoin. The good thing is, the amount of places that accept bitcoin keeps on rising every single day.

Digitally, in the online world we have a lot more places that accept bitcoin, all we need right now is the fact that we could get a good return on governmental places, like how El Salvador made it legal tender, or how Ukraine embraces it right now. If we can get that for many more nations, then we are going to have bitcoin accepted in more places and we may end up with full time crypto living.
2837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun creates "the most decentralized Stablecoin" on: April 25, 2022, 06:32:15 PM
Justin Sun needs to take the hint. People do not like him, I mean not hate him, but not like him, and nobody really cares about projects that he does. This dude had smart contracts and cheap transactions locked down years and years ago, and nobody cared, things like ADA, SOL, AVAX and the likes are barely getting there, and they somehow managed to get super high.

So, other projects who are not even at a level where Tron was years ago, ended up being higher than Tron way before they reached those levels. There must be a reason for that, if that didn't work, I do not see how his own stablecoin version would end up getting more attention somehow.
2838  Economy / Economics / Re: How Capitalism defeated socialism? on: April 25, 2022, 04:52:00 PM
Social democracy, democratic socialism, socialism, communism. These are all different variants of "left" that many nations like USA couldn't really comprehend. Like for example public libraries that you do not pay for and just go and read and only pay if you take something out and can't bring it back on time, that is a system where the state pays for it, or the firemen that comes to your house and put out the fire, or the cops. These are all paid by the government. In another case, in many major nations, hospitals are just like police and firemen, doctors are paid by the government.

If you think cops should be paid by the government with your taxes but doctors shouldn't be, you do not really understand socialism. France doesn't just give equal pay to everyone and distribute food or something like that, it is not a communist nation, but it does have healthcare to begin with, and plenty other leftists stuff, and yet seen as not so leftist for Europe, since there are even far lefter nations.
2839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know IDOs are a viable means of raising funds? on: April 24, 2022, 03:05:36 PM
I get that bitcointalk is a high rank place with a DA that will get you good SEO return and that is why linking your website here is a great method of SEO for sure. However at least put it like it wasn't some marketing effort. Give people something they would want to read, give people a whole article, give people some sort of "how to" and then you could do well.

I do not get all these people who think that they could write a line or two and then get away with it, makes no sense to me. I mean even signature campaign spammers look like they are angels compared to these type of SEO grinders, at the very least they make it look like they are helping out the forum, not some website.
2840  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka defaults on its $51 billion external debt on: April 23, 2022, 01:44:03 PM
As you said even if people get aid from donations still there is no supply of products which is badly needed right now starting from the fuel, electricity, milk, veggies, etc. So individuals can't import goods for themselves without the government help so they are in need of some leader who understand the situation and has the ability to control which will atleast save people from starving to death then they can slowly gain back what they lost due to improper government policies made by group of stupid belong to single family.
If donations start, then we could start with sending money but we could also start sending stuff as well. Like food and other stuff. That would probably result with something decent and we would definitely end up with a proper rebuilding process. I am not saying that it will be perfect, but it would certainly be something at least. I said the same thing when Venezuela first got terrible, if the world wanted to, we could definitely help them.

There is enough money in the world to help each nation in terrible condition, the downside is that people with billions may end up with less billions, I am sorry but cry me a river, it wouldn't be a big deal at all.
