2421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 01, 2022, 10:20:18 PM
Nantes wasn't the one they were after. But the idea that Neymar could play this well again matters. There were discussions about him leaving not too long ago and they managed to do something that is very well by keeping him, if they do not change their mind then they will be very happy. Neymar is a superstar and he can pull a rabbit out of a hat when needed be and he is going to help them do a lot of that later in the season when it matters.

Ligue 1 is not a problem I agree, but UCL will not be "that" difficult anymore now that they know what they can do and they have that amazing team they built last year playing for a while together and seeing how it is working.
2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 01, 2022, 09:49:10 PM
A ton of stuff happened in the last 24 hours and I cant believe it. We knew that Vettel would be retiring and that was already a brand new thing, it wasn't a news for too long before we learn that Alonso is now taking his place. Vettel is younger than Alonso, but I guess they have different views about life, plus some may want more, and some may say enough and I get it.

On top of that Vettel was literally in the "retirement car" for a while now, if he was offered a chance at a big team then he wouldn't retire, Alonso is already in retirement car for sure, and I guess he will be just switching retirement plans and nothing more. Ferrari sure does a trick on people they can't let go even after a while.
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 31, 2022, 10:41:45 PM
It's not about them changing formations, it is about them finding a better way to fit the players they already paid a lot to. I mean do you really think that they made all these transfers so that they could bench them? Of course not, but not all of them play in different spots, they overlap which means that there are two options.

Either you are going to make them play together and find a different method of doing that, or you are going to keep one in the bench and just spent a ton of money for nothing (or bench your existing successful player). I do not see second one happening, which means that they need to find a way to play all of them together somehow.
2424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2022, 10:04:21 PM
It is terrible to learn Bill Russell passed away. If we need to feel any good about this, he came from nothing, lived 88 years, won 11 rings, he was there when Black people couldn't even eat in certain places, and lived through 2 terms of Obama being president, and he helped all the young kids that came in after him for 5 decades and he has fmvp named after him.

I know that it is always sad whenever one person passes away from this world, but if you were to ask someone if they would take his place? 99.999% of the population would say yes without a question, which tells me he lived a very filled life that was enjoyable and he passes away from that world knowing that he lived a great one that marked something major before he left it.
2425  Other / Off-topic / Re: Myths, Superstitions, and Legends about Playing Cards on: July 31, 2022, 04:35:04 PM
These are all good. Superstition when gambling is something that is famous, in fact it doesn't even have to be gambling, people who watch football does this all the time. My dad who is a big fan of football, watches it on a small tablet these days because once he wasn't at home and had to watch it from there and his team won 4-0, and ever since then he watches it there and as we all can guess, they do not win all of their games, they lose plenty, but he still does it.

My aunt who was a chairman of a small club, took showers before every game and then watched it on tv, as we all can guess, it was irrelevant. Superstitions do not make sense to me because of this reason.

We are seeing Vettel at a top 10 position after being like the last, and we are seeing Mclarens being quick enough for a podium, I mean let's be honest with each other here, even Hamilton sucked. So, if you are thinking that these practice sessions mean anything other than checking data and adjusting the cars for it, then you are lying to yourself and you haven't watched too many F1 races so far and only checking because of the netflix series.

These practice runs are there for one reason only and that reason is to make sure that mechanics could see the car perform and decide on what little change they could do before the actual race starts (well quali first) and that's it.
2427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 29, 2022, 10:39:39 PM
Bellingham still doing wonders for Dortmund but for how long? That kid is 19 years old and he is already worth over 80 million and we all know that sharks are going around him, plus he is British meaning that EPL teams would love to get him and they have the money for it as well, many teams would want a mdifield that talented let alone one that is 19 years old and the only thing they are doing right now is waiting for him to mature a bit there, literally just feels like he is on a loan at Dortmund and will leave when the time comes.

Look at Haaland left, and they couldn't replace him at all, Haller? Adeyami? Really? Money wasted and nothing more for them right now.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 29, 2022, 10:16:15 PM
I didn't think Pogba would miss the entire world cup, but that is actually better news to Juventus then him healing right before. The difference is that he would be missing Juventus games but play in world cup with recently healed injury and risk getting it injured again, compared to now where he will miss Juventus games but he would come back to play for juventus directly instead. This is horrible for their long term success rate.

Even this news itself probably changed a bit of the outright odds, didn't check it now but I guarantee you that it must be a higher odd because they would have a lower chance for sure and they know it. Let's hope for the best to Pogba.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 29, 2022, 10:02:49 PM
I do agree that Bayern didn't get "that" bad, certainly not enough to be a 1.95 against Leipzig that is for sure, and PSG could be 1.36, I have absolutely no bother with that because they are certainly much better team and they will win that game.

What I do not understand is only stuck with Bayern and Bayern only, there is no comparison in my mind about PSG versus Bayern because that is not the topic here, how much better they are against each other will have no point when the real opponents are Nantes and Leipzig. It should both be under 1.50 and that would make sense, but when you give Bayern such a hard time, I will just bet on that and thank you for the free double on my money.
2430  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 29, 2022, 09:29:28 PM
Oil definitely did caused the whole economy to go to ground, there is no denying that. But, you cannot expect people to not take sides, it is a war and in every war there are sides. Sure, it doesn't mean that you have to actually be there and fight the war, you could be Uganda and have nothing to do with it and you still take sides, how?

Based on what you do right after the war starts, and who you continue to do business with, because either one Ukrainian is there that will not be able to do what they want, or there would be a Russian one. Hence, I get that the economy was impacted, but it was impacted because this war started, nothing else.
2431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 29, 2022, 09:19:02 PM
Newcastle actually spent a ton of money last year to stay above, they were a level of team that could have gone down, that was basically a locked thing for a while, but then they got a takeover and then they spent something like 100 million if I am not wrong, not to get "amazing" players, not superstars, but enough type of players that it would keep them at a high level.

This is why I believe that they are not really going to spend a lot of money this summer, they are doing fine. They could probably finish the season above relegation again, and they could look to overpay for more players later on to make sure that they get better, sure at a expensive rate, but slowly they will get more success and it would be normal prices to get players.
2432  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|$10 000 Daily Battles|🚀BFG Mining Extension voting on: July 29, 2022, 09:03:17 PM
I am not a staff of this company, which means that there are two possibilities when there is a voting going on. First of all it could be something like "team wants more money in their pockets" or it would be "team thinks this is better for the future of the project".

I cannot see how this could fill the pockets of the staff, which means that this is entirely based on how the team wants to actually do some good for us, and they are improving what they are doing and making the project better. This is why I believe that this voting should be basically all based on what they think is the best, as long as it doesn't provide them directly, how could they harm it or want to harm it?
2433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is scarcer than gold. on: July 29, 2022, 08:07:03 PM
It does make sense to spend your money on finding and extracting the gold we have in the earth right now, that makes sense of course. However, when the space flight technology becomes something that is as cheap as driving a car today and becomes the new normal, we are going to end up finding a lot of it.

Not just gold neither, we are going to start looking for all the things we needed, and oil or any kind of energy would be number one in that case. Lets realize that energy sector is a huge one for a reason, we need that to go on, everything else comes in second, maybe food and clean water as well of course. So, we are going to find resources on other places and extract and bring that back "eventually", hence why bitcoin would ALWAYS be more valuable.
2434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 29, 2022, 07:15:36 PM
I bought some before the dip, at around 40k level because I wanted to drop the average that I purchased and that makes sense because it means that I got a big drop on my average, then I boguht some more at 28k and some more at 19k. I do not mind buying at any place, I keep on buying at all prices, if tomorrow price reaches 60k I will buy some more there too.

I never regret because I think that bitcoin has always been "temporarily under 250k", never went above that price I know, but I know that it will go above that price, so whatever I buy right now, at whatever price, will be lower than what it will be in the future and I am fine with that.
2435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY is Terra pumping ? on: July 29, 2022, 07:03:12 PM
As long as people get some to drop, they will drop it, they are burned so much that nobody would hold it long time aside from the team itself. Realize that they have done something wrong, maybe the failure is enough, maybe it isn't, but it has happened and that is the case here.

There isn't anything weird about people not trusting them, even if they do nothing wrong from here on out, I doubt many people will trust it. Don't get me wrong, ETH had 51% attack multiple times and people still trust it a bit, a small time, but never got too huge, and Terra will stay like that as well. I see it on the same levels as ETC and never anything bigger going to happen with them ever again.
2436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 29, 2022, 06:41:16 PM
I think it's not really that much important how "rich" you can get, it is important how long you can stay. There are a lot of newbies who do get in, and do the right thing to be fair, but then they end up making the wrong move when the bear time comes. Definitely getting in right now during the bear means would result with you making a profit when the price goes up. But, that doesn't change the question of how long you can stay.

If you can stay like this for a decade, keep investing even more, and wait for it to skyrocket and watch it go down after that, then repeat this another 2-3 times, and then sell after 10 years when it peaks, then you would make a ton of money, for sure. But, if you get worried and sell? That will cause you to lose.
2437  Economy / Speculation / Re: was the 69K the actual bull run or just part of a longer bull run? on: July 29, 2022, 11:23:17 AM
When adaption of bitcoin goes massive, we should expect longer bull run within four-year cycle of bitcoin market. This way, I agree that we might be still into a bull run. Within bitcoin markets, we have seen repeating scenarios multiple times and on this regard, you spotted one which happened in 2013. We do read that microstrategy and few other institutions are into continuous buying which must be one of the factor why I agree with you. Bitcoin market always just need positive news only and this way, buying by institution must be one of such.

When common people start believing about the signs of bullish market, then we do obviously start seeing a stronger bull run. We are in exact second of this year and in first half we had bear domination hence this half must be a sideways or bullish in most sense.
2438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your most realistic ATH prediction for the next cycle? on: July 29, 2022, 10:09:20 AM
When bitcoiners were anticipating about 10x growth in 2017 from 2013's ATH (~$1200), we got almost 20x.
Similarly, when we were expecting another 10x in 2021 from previous ATH, we got only ~3x, thanks to pandemic.
I mean always expect the unexpected. When considering the role of institution and retail investors, I foresee at least another 10x in 2025 but the base price seems yet to be set.

Yeah, the ATH of current cycle may happen this year as well. This may not sound realistic but when considering the role of bears might have ended already (like Tesla already sold 80% of their bitcoin holding), we may get back to recovery phase now onward which may lead to a new ATH.

Like before, I am still confident about getting into $1M level in 2025 as a new ATH.
2439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 29, 2022, 06:40:34 AM
It was understandable, I mean if he was in red bull or ferrari this season, then he could had a chance to win it all over again, but he won it 4 times already, and he is the best racer I have ever seen in my entire life on "pure talent" base, he knew the car better than anyone else.

Yeah, maybe Lewis knew how to race better, who knows, I am not here to argue about that, but Vettel knew his car better than anyone else did, and on a period where Mercedes was a few seconds faster than anyone else on track, this dude gave them a run for their money when nobody got close, hell usually half of the track just got outlapped each race, and Vettel deserves to be with his family after such a compact but hardcore career.
2440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stolen Bitcoin Be Recovered on: July 28, 2022, 10:30:05 PM
Obviously people will never be easily impressed by the fact that we could figure out what they are up to, they will just chalk that up to being lucky. Because, they did managed to convince some people.

If you try to scam 20 million people, and only 100 people falls for it, that will "look" like you failed to 19 million 999 thousand 900 people, but for that 100 people who spent a total of tens of thousands of dollars, that would look like you were a great scammer and that is who they are after. All in all this was a weak try, but if he could take this and put it all over online, I am 100% sure that there will be some naive and gullible people who would fall for it.
