2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 18, 2022, 09:15:33 PM
It makes sense for Barcelona to have some sort of crumbling weeks, because they are getting quite tired, and they are a new team trying to show their talents individually, but the system Xavi (and Barcelona has played for decades) instilling is not there just yet.

The great tiki-taka optimized for today’s world will take a bit of time for them to get used to, and meanwhile, they will have a few bad games in a row, when you have one bad game, it follows the other, you forget how to play football for a while, happens to even the best players. I am sure that once things start to click, they are going to be an unstoppable force for sure, not going to really have any trouble at all.
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or discussion and odds on: October 18, 2022, 08:46:20 PM
I am not entirely sure if Ronaldo and Messi didn't deserve their awards. I mean maybe you can find a few seasons where other players did have a good season, but these are the people who had 80+ g/a seasons multiple times, they are just unreal and can't be beaten.

Let me put it this way on how good Ronaldo is, we all talked about how haaland would need to score like 40+ goals a year for 15+ seasons to reach his goal count, that should be good enough, messi didn't score as much, but he had more assists, so the g/a rate is even higher. So that is the difference, they got the awards because they were consistently the best players each year, maybe 1-2 seasons could go either way, but it would still be 10+ combined for sure.
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 18, 2022, 08:02:11 PM
Having a team on a roll would work greatly, Liverpool was never a bad team, sure they had a bad start to the season but that doesn't make them bad right away, it makes them just underperforming and nothing else. They had a few good games, and that Rangers huge win just caused them to liven back up again, which means we are talking about them having a good track record for a while now.

Obviously lost to Arsenal, but won the other 4 or so games if I am not wrong. That’s why I believe they will easily win against West Ham too, to be fair they have to, because that would take them to closer to upper ranks, if not then it’s going to keep being horrible for them.
2124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto agents on the increase on: October 18, 2022, 05:01:20 PM
Obviously scamming grew bigger because everything became a bit more online and technological. Doesn't mean that there weren't any scammers before online payment world got big, but it wasn't as easy as it was today, on the other hand with crypto it became even wider and that’s the trouble we are going to be in if we do not careful, and scammers will take full advantage of the situation.

If it is easier for scammers to take advantage of us, then it is up to us to be even more careful and if we are not then we are going to be in full on trouble. This is of course not something you can do in a single day, you need to learn how to not get scammed as well as scammers learn how they can scam you.
2125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much gambling is in trading cryptocurrencies? on: October 18, 2022, 03:28:30 PM
A lot, depending on your skill level and understanding of crypto. I personally believe that we shouldn't be really trading if we are newbies and have no understanding of how trading works. I have seen people who jump into 100x leverage trading as their first ever trade, can you imagine how stupid that move is?

I am sorry but if you do that, then you deserve to lose your money. The real move would be buying long term from low, wait for it to go up, use your profits to make riskier and riskier moves, but if you ever are not in profit, stop because it means you are about to lose money. Always take risks that you could afford, and realize how risky it is.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: October 17, 2022, 09:24:10 PM
Goalkeepers are hard to come by, you do not have as many great goalkeepers in active football as you have in other positions, mainly because there are only one of them in the team that gets attention, every other position does get their bench players playing for fatigue reasons, but goalkeepers would go play every single game if they can, unless some injury or booking of course.

That is why I believe that we shouldn't really be worried about the stance of Uzoho, dude will probably get to a great club eventually, only because there aren't enough players like him, and first it needs to be a club that's at one of the 5 big leagues, and then to a huge club, if he keeps playing like this of course.
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And officially worst year for investors on: October 17, 2022, 07:49:59 PM
I feel like this is still far better than 2018 for some reason, maybe I am remembering that wrong but the feeling during those times (or at least my feelings) was that it would never recover from that, we were looking at bitcoin as "how did it even reach 20k to begin with", and saw that 3k was more than enough, we assumed it would go from few hundred dollars to 3k and that was normal.

The unreal part was reaching 20k in between, and now we realize that it's normal for it to be 20k, because we "dropped" to 20k right now, we peaked at 68k meaning that it could be 100k one day too, or 200k, or 500k, these are all possible for bitcoin, we didn't feel like that back in the day.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 17, 2022, 07:21:51 PM
Has anyone else saw that Mbappe was actually quite happy after the goal, we have seen Mbappe passing to Neymar for a goal, and him + neymar + messi hugged each other right after the goal and they looked so happy together. I can't stop thinking, what if everything is just a rumour and a drama made by others?

I mean sure there were a lot of talks about him leaving before, but he got paid and stayed, if he REALLY wanted to leave, he could have gone to another club, but he choose to stay, maybe there isn't any problem, and maybe that’s all just newspaper blowing things up to sell more paper? We really do not know which one is the truth to be fair.
2129  Economy / Economics / Re: Central authority can be biased. Referring to TikTok on: October 16, 2022, 09:48:02 PM
You know what the main problem is? The lack of competition. TikTok has done something that nobody else could, it gives audience to people who didn't get themselves heard before, and direct connection to money for them as well, crypto could have been a great part of it, but hasn't been and that’s the problem we are facing right now.

This is why it’s a lot smarter if we could somehow get competition from other social media places where they could see people who are suffering and not just hear about it, a tweet from someone who is living in these situations is not as believable as a tiktok live video of it, that’s why lack of competition forced this situation.
2130  Economy / Economics / Re: Running a successful business in most developing countries on: October 16, 2022, 08:53:04 PM
One thing missing is "work in your field" and that's very important. If you want to start a business then you have to work in a company in that field before, that way you would learn about how that business is run from first hand. If you go into a field and start a business without having absolutely no experience in it before, you are going to fail.

I really do not like starting a new business, I have nearly a dozen business ideas in crypto and I have been in crypto for a decade and can really make these work. However, I love my current job so much that adding more work to my daily life is very very difficult, one day I will do it, but you also need to have hype about it too, if you are not desiring it enough, you won't have the courage to do it neither.
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 16, 2022, 01:58:21 PM
City will definitely win, they are just way too good at this moment, even if Liverpool was doing good, they were still better than last year's Liverpool as well, with the addition of Haaland they became a totally different type of team. I am guessing that they will most surely beat this game. Of course in football anything could happen, but do you wager on Leeds to beat City?

I mean I don't, there are some people who may do that kind of stuff for a bigger payout, I just don't, and this may not be that clear difference but it is still clear to me. I am guessing at least 2 goals from Haaland as well, that dude loves these big games to score.
2132  Economy / Economics / Re: Best Recession And Inflation Protected Assets on: October 16, 2022, 01:03:50 PM
So far in my nation it has always been "flour", meaning even wheat prices change, but flour doesn't and you may wonder how? But turns out you could make flour from many different things, and not just wheat, meaning whatever is the cheapest flour you could do that. There is also olive oil, or any kind of cooking oil basically, which also keeps its power no matter what.

Hence, in my nation there are a lot of rich famous celebrities buying up huge chunks of olive fields, not because they care about the price of olive oil, or olive, but because they care about keeping their investment valuable and survive, it's not the income, it's the value of the asset.
2133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tool to copy-trade Binance Leaderboard on: October 15, 2022, 08:29:05 AM
I highly suggest everyone to be careful about this. Not only that we do not know about the security of this project and if they will steal your money or not, that's already something you should be careful about, but that is something you will already know to begin with.

I am not saying be careful about them right now because of that, I am warning you about the fact that you are going to be facing something that is promising you profit because these people did it before, and there could be some sort of trouble that would be terrible for the long term. Maybe they made huge profits so far but they won't be able to do it anymore? How can we certain about their future profits, based on their past ones?
2134  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan CEO, Jamie Dimon, another Charlie Munger? on: October 14, 2022, 10:05:21 PM
I mean isn't this acceptable and understandable? Think about it this way, Jamie Dimon is the ceo of a company that deals with fiat investments, unless JP Morgan suddenly starts their own exchange, or outright buys binance or another high level exchange, any investment that goes to crypto means less money available to invest into JP Morgan.

This means he has to dislike it. And when the time comes and they go into anything crypto related, suddenly "we found why it's good!!" and they love it. That's always like that, if they can't profit from it, and even lose because of it, it's bad, if they can earn from it, suddenly it becomes very good.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 14, 2022, 09:01:42 PM
The game of the week for me will be Leverkusen vs Frankfurt, Leverkusen has traditionally been a good team, and done horribly this year so far, and they will want to fix it, whereas Frankfurt is an up and coming team who won EL last year, but not doing that awesome this year in the end.

It will be a good betting, I think betting on Leverkusen could have a good odds, and still not too risky for the odds given for them, not in favor of betting a large amount though, something tiny. Also Freiburg vs Bayern is a good one too, Bayern is somehow still third in the league with just 4 wins in 9 games, and they will want to move to second position if they possibly can by beating Freiburg who is the current second place.
2136  Economy / Economics / Re: Uber Doordash plunge after regulation proposal change to worker classification on: October 14, 2022, 08:42:36 PM
Even Mexico is not really a solution because providing benefits even there means added costs and that's way too much. These places do not offer you anything other than money, and that's it, a chance to make money, but at the end of the day it means you are going to be employed and making a good income.

Depending on the place you live, it could provide you with money that no other job could, normally people who couldn't find decent jobs would work as dishwashers, or work at McDonalds or whatever, but with these jobs you would make 5k+ dollars per month, and after taxes you would live a decent life, not great one but decent enough, that is the only thing it promised. Worst case scenario, they would have to get a bigger cut, workers would get 3k instead of 5k, and the rest would go to benefits provided by Uber like companies.
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 14, 2022, 07:29:21 PM
I agree that BNB is a lot more new compared to the other 2, but at the same time it has achieved so much, by this logic it’s more like how a child would be able to grow better thanks to their parents actually doing something with their life and taking all the risks, that way you would not have to actually go through the same things and start at a better level.

Even at the first days of BNB it was doing fine, and after that it managed to rise a lot better. It is at third level for crypto currencies and I believe that it will keep its position. Stablecoins could rise faster, but they are not crypto currency so I do not consider them as altcoin to invest anyway.
2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New metaverse city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on: October 14, 2022, 06:10:41 PM
Is this productive or counter-productive? I am not saying that creating a VR version of a city is good enough, of course you would want to visit there if you like it enough, but if I could visit it, and not have to go there, do I even have to?

If you are rich enough you will want to go to Dubai, because you have the money for it, but if you are not rich enough, not only you will not be able to visit it, but you won't have to really grind to find the money for it neither, some people who would "barely" have the money for it, could use that to go to another city they want to visit, and instead use this with metaverse to visit UAE instead. Maybe it will trick people into wanting to see the real thing though, I don't know.
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: October 13, 2022, 09:28:42 PM
I honestly believe that Barcelona wasn't ready for continental cups just yet with them being better just for this season alone. I mean it’s understandable that the roster looks like they could beat Inter easily, but the fact is that the roster was built very recently, which means it’s understandable for them to not be great just yet.

I personally think that the better method would be them not understanding how some things works, and that is why they are not doing as well as they could. If Xavi stays for another season, which I think he will, even with the exact same roster they will be much much better next season because the team will have time to get used to each other.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 13, 2022, 08:43:03 PM
If we are looking for a manager to PSG, it is clear that Zidane is the favourites for that position and should have been paid whatever to get him. Zidane managed to get 3 UCL titles with Real Madrid if I am not wrong, that means he could have controlled Mbappe, tell him to be patient for Real Madrid chance in the future, and since he is a legend as both player and a manager from Madrid, he could have at least kept Mbappe in check.

He declined, that’s understandable, but they could have offered him insane amount of money, like no one ever received before, 20-30+ million for a manager type of money, or even 50, just to get him and that would result with a league title + cup title + ucl + super cup and whatever, yes he would be THAT good.
