2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: October 28, 2022, 10:23:19 PM
It will not be possible for streamers to bring it back because this time around it was a little bit more about law and a lot less about what twitch and amazon wanted. The usual thing is if you remove a feature then you are not going to get in trouble if you put it back, maybe the streamers liked that feature and they want it back, or maybe the viewers did, and that way you could put something back in.

But, this time around it’s not just a feature, it's literally a whole segment of it and that means they can't just make it come back that easily because there are laws involved. I believe that it’s a good decision to get rid of it, doesn't really hurt anyone, and helps a ton of people stay away from it.
2082  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exactly did Elon want to buy Twitter? on: October 28, 2022, 08:52:01 PM
As far as I am aware, he wanted to just build a centerpiece for what’s to come. He wants to build something that would be one giant centre for all his future social media or human interaction business, he could have purchased all of facebook which would be facebook+instagram+whatsapp and that would be better for him but he doesn't have that much money.

So, I am assuming that he bought the next thing that he could with the amount of money he has and that’s the reason why he got Twitter. In a few years we are going to see him branching Twitter out to bigger and bigger things and add more stuff to it, and that’s when we will understand why he wanted to buy it so badly.
2083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usage of Blockchain technology on: October 28, 2022, 08:14:40 PM
One thing I am wondering about twitter sale to Elon is this discussion as well. I didn't want to start a whole new topic, but do you guys think that a blockchain technology for twitter could actually work? I mean we are talking about a social currency with how many followers you have, someone with 50k+ followers could turn that into money easily, and someone with millions of followers could definitely turn that into a wealth.

So having twitter based on some blockchain features and making sure it’s both preventing bots but also rewarding people who contribute, could actually be good. People cannot fake their follower count because bots would be prevented, and the real people who follower others will turn out to actually worth something.
2084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nfts are altcoins in pictures on: October 28, 2022, 06:48:31 PM
NFT idea was that it would give someone an ownership, it wasn't about this what we have, it was about real art, and real things that you could have an ownership. To put it simply, when you buy a house, you are given a piece of paper that says that you own it right? Otherwise, how would we know who owns which house? In this situation the house is the art that we buy.

However, if you create 10 thousand different styles of the same ape, and call it art? That’s not acceptable at all. People mistook what NFT was about, what it could do for you, and in return that caused a ton of people to make mistakes as well. I hope that in time that all would be fixed and we will have a better situation.
2085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 28, 2022, 05:54:20 PM
There is still one game left for all clubs, PSG will 100% finish at the top, meaning they will face a second of another group, and looking at the seconds of the groups, unless they face Liverpool they won't have any type of trouble. And even if they face them, Liverpool is not really doing great this season so they may beat them easily too.

It will as always start at quarter finals, usually top 16 doesn't have shocking results, maybe one game could be shocking out of 8, but usually it will be top of the table teams beating the seconds of the groups. However, after that it's unknown what PSG could do, it's going to get worse and we are going to see them not being at their best for sure.
2086  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurs vs Solopreneurs on: October 28, 2022, 05:00:08 PM
Depends on what type of business you are willing to do. Just like OP said, if you are a tiktok influencer, you do not need a team of people helping you out, certainly not when starting out, but do not "need" them later on when you are famous neither, maaaaybe only need it if you are looking to grow exponentially later on.

However, I know a friend who started in the 3d printing world and started printing b2b stuff for companies, and eventually he couldn't grow unless he hired some people and he hired 3 people to help him, one with packaging, one with organization of the work place (3d printers have many materials and such) and one with helping what he did exactly which was 3d printing. If you are in a work like that, you may need to become bigger.
2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 28, 2022, 03:10:43 PM
Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona all looking like they are going to play games that they could win. I am not saying that all three will win but it would be expected result, and a good slip to play them all together to get a good odd.

If you really want to increase it a lot more, Bilbao will be playing Villareal, that's a game that nobody knows who will win, they are very close on talent level and there is a good chance that we could even see a tie. So if you pick one side on that game and put it on the other 3 games, then you could very well have a 10+ odd, even maybe more I don't know. I would wager that is a good week for just one league to be fair.
2088  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices in Germany - Tell me what you want to know on: October 27, 2022, 10:02:52 PM
It’s going to be a big discussion with absolutely no end to a fairly good result, it's just a bit of a time required deal and when enough time passes we are going to see this problem solved too. The problem we have is not oil, it's not food, it's not anything else, it's not being ready for these type of things.

There is no a single country in the world that is self-sufficient in everything, and when something happens they are left with a chaos and a problem and they don't know what to do and do not have an alternative to put forth right away. This is why anytime any problem happens, we just need to wait for governments to fix it, that’s the only solution we have and we have nothing else we can do.
2089  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a secure investment amidst recession on: October 27, 2022, 09:39:40 PM
Considering how amazing bitcoin is and what can be done with it, I have to say it’s definitely something that I would advise fairly a lot. This doesn't mean that it’s going to be very tough, it just means that we are going to see the crashes and that’s going to upset us of course, who wouldn't be upset with the price crashes on their investments, but to know that it is going to be fine is our luxury.

I know that the price crashed, and it is a sad thing, I rather see it 100k today, but I have the big advantage to know that it’s going to be 100k eventually one way or another. That type of feeling is the reason why I suggest people to buy and hold bitcoin at all times.
2090  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: October 27, 2022, 08:50:42 PM
Gold has always been very valuable in history and will keep valuable in the future as well. I never agreed that it should be this valuable, sure there are things that gold is used for, but the idea of gold being a valuable thing became a bit more known after it was used as gold coins, since it was limited and not everyone could get their hands on it.

These days, there is really nothing backing it up as a valuable thing aside from people’s perception of it, if you are a company that buys iron, copper, or any other material and also gold to build something then it's valuable to you, but as an investment? I never believed it was valuable but the world still does, so it should be going up probably.
2091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100X Altcoin for the next Bull run on: October 27, 2022, 08:18:05 PM
I don't know what the next one will be, but I am sure that it will start with some good projects at first, they will do great, and then people will learn how to copy it and they will end up with some similar stuff and in the end people will realize that it is not going to be working out for them and the results will be bearish market again.

Just because a few good projects happened doesn't mean that it will be good forever, there will be thousands who will do the exact same thing and this will not only cause investors to lose money, but also it will cause people to leave their initial good project investments as well, and that will crash the market just like it happened every time before.
2092  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: October 27, 2022, 07:43:51 PM
This is why pentests are so important, if you do a pentest before you go public with anything that means you are going to learn about what's going to happen, and any white hat hacker would be able to get you to fix something and you would be able to pay a decent amount of money for it but not get hacked in the future.

This costs a lot of course, it could be in a bounty type, like offer 10k dollars to anyone who can hack into it, or it could be more like payment, where you pay 2k to 5 different good white hat ones. With the second one you do not know if they did a good job, but with the first one there is 10k to be made so everyone will work very hard.
2093  Economy / Economics / Re: Almost 50% of Gen Z and Millennials want crypto in retirement funds: Survey on: October 27, 2022, 07:03:02 PM
This isn't shocking, Gen Z is the people who were born after 94 or 96 or something like that, which means when they were 10-12 years old, crypto was invented, bitcoin first came out when they were too little to understand it, they weren't earning money when bitcoin first came out. Which means, by the time they first started to earn money, crypto already became a big deal.

It’s also more fun, Gen Z is a type of group who realized right away that they weren't given what they deserve, the amount of work we put in will never be compensated fairly (number 1 reason why I became freelancer too, because freelancers do get paid fairly) and they just go with the "fun" investment, that’s why NFT's became so big too, Gen Z took it so high.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 27, 2022, 06:51:43 PM
Schalke may have managed to get back, but that doesn't mean that they were good, they were just good for the league below, but they are still not good for bundesliga. I believe that they are going to drop again very quickly, as it is obvious from the results unless something major changes.

And this time around they have tried so hard to get back last year that next year financially it wouldn't be possible to get all those names, and I am guessing that this time around they won't be coming back neither. That’s why it’s easier to see them both going down but also not getting back and spending a few years at the lower end of the league below for a few years.
2095  Economy / Economics / Re: In a post abundance economy, which commodities and assets would appreciate most on: October 27, 2022, 03:01:29 AM
I am very much sure that fire wood is a temporary thing and not a long term solution. It means that even though right now there is a problem in the world with energy and heating, and even though people are finding firewood as a solution for the time being, there will be a period where it won't be as god as it is right now.

We do have electric heating products available, and they work very very well too, but they require a lot of electricity, which means we need to produce more energy. European nations who do not want to work with Russia anymore, went with firewood for now because it's a short term solution, but they will find a way to produce more energy, and when they do firewood will not be needed anymore.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 26, 2022, 06:39:32 PM
I really really hated UCL this past two weeks, it’s really looking worse and worse. I am not saying that it is always like this, of course big clubs are at the top anyway, but for the past 2 times we have seen unexpected results way too frequently. Last week it was real + city + psg + juventus  all failing to win, this week it is juventus + city + real failing to win again.

I get that a few games could be unlucky and you could lose, but having real and city losing back to back weeks on UCL is not really the expected result, that’s really weird. In any case, they will both go up I am sure, it’s obvious and we are going to see how they can continue if they keep playing like this.
2097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Trust wallet and is it safe? on: October 26, 2022, 05:08:28 PM
Maybe it is just me but I still prefer Metaverse a lot more, that is something I would rather see grow bigger in the long run. I know that some people prefer trustwallet because of the UI, but metamask is a lot better, have millions of users, and it is something that is only just a UI that shows your wallet that you own and control, so if your metamask was ever "hacked", it is just the UI and not your wallet that gets hacked and it's fine.

This means that it is the safest one and it is the best solution to this, it’s just a few buttons made easier for you instead of writing code to do stuff. I have used it since it came out, and I have been quite happy with it, much better than trust wallet.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: October 25, 2022, 08:45:20 PM
It was definitely a good race to watch for all the changing of hands and all the unexpected slow stops and many other things like crashes. It was weird for me because I wasn't sure if I was gonna win or not for a long time, I wagered on Max because... well obvious reasons and I didn't really know if he would get it or not. This is why I watched it very stressfully but at the end he still got it.

I know he started very well but after that slow pit stop I thought he lost it, but turns out he still had it in him to fight back and get it, and that gave me a small win. Wasn't a huge win, didn't had too much odds, but still a win is a win and Max never really disappoints.
2099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 25, 2022, 08:08:52 PM
Last time was a shocking showing from the favorites, Madrid, city, psg, juventus, all lost and that was a weird period and I lost a good chunk of money because of it. This time around I am doing the exact thing with even more money this time, I don't care if I lose because right now I can afford to lose it since I won a bit in between, it would be loss from profit so I am fine.

Chelsea and PSG and City and Milan and Juventus and Madrid, I am going to wager a parlay and say all these teams will win. Of course they may not end up winning, it could be a risk and that is fine but that doesn't matter because they are favorites and if I lose then I will lose, it's part of gambling.
2100  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: October 25, 2022, 07:06:23 PM
Corruption is not a class, it's not a topic, it's something that humans have inside them and teaching wouldn't change a thing. You could explain how bad it is from a very early age, but they are thought that killing and stealing are bad too and yet they grow up doing that if you look at the number of murderers and thieves in the world.

It means, if there is a person who would be a corrupt politician for example in the future, you can't teach them what to do without showing them how they could become what they will become. I believe it's all about the family, but it's a bit about position as well, if you are in a position where you could be corrupt and profit from it, it must be very hard not to be corrupt.
