1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's behind Donald Trump's issuing NFTs ? on: December 16, 2022, 09:52:28 PM
Grifting? I mean this dude is famous for grifting, he sold houses twice, he kicked thousands of blacks out of their homes and built big skyscrapers to put rich people in, his entire life was about making a buck, no matter what the ethical question is all about.

It means he could sell NFT's with absolutely no worth at all, no utility, no usecase, just to make sure that his followers would gobble it up and he could make some money out of it. And he is doing exactly that right now as well, he is just trying to make a buck. Some people are like that, they care about money more than they care about ethics or morality of it, and I understand, it's just in some peoples nature.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 16, 2022, 09:23:21 PM
Poole and Wiggins and Klay all three will have their hands full, I am not sure if all three are uninjured and available to play to be fair, maybe one of them is injured too. But if they are all healthy, the offense will run through these three and they will have to carry the scoring load.

This is a 30+ point guy we are talking about they are missing, so they will combined need to make 30+ more points together, will take more shots of course, but considering how efficient Curry has been, it is going to be hard to do it at the same amount of shooting as well. Plus, the spacing will not be the same, curry gets defences even before half court, whereas these players won't and that's a difference too.
1903  Economy / Speculation / Re: ELON sold his TSLA stock for $3.5billion. Will he re-buy BTC soon? on: December 16, 2022, 08:46:21 PM
I am pretty sure that he must had some issues to sell that much, he wouldn't sell otherwise. He was worth 300+ billion at some point, if he wanted to sell that would have been a better time to sell, in fact he could have sold 6 billion dollars worth then, and buy it back right now for half of it and all the stocks back, would worth it, and would still have the cash.

Selling right now means either he had to sell for technical reasons like it expired or something, or he just had to because he is in debt to pay some stuff like taxes or something. In any case, I doubt he would be buying bitcoin, he didn't sell for just wanting more money reasons I am definitely sure.
1904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on the Verge To Slice Through $30,000 on: December 16, 2022, 08:26:31 PM
It is easy to give out numbers but how true they will be is yet to be seen. Right now we are already under 17k and that means we are not looking that great yet. By the end of the year, we are probably going to end up with something that will hurt us further and it's going to be bothering everyone for a while.

I hope that it will recover like you guess it will but it looks like it's not going to be recovering just yet. Sure 30k is not a big deal if we ever reach bull run, because we skyrocket very quickly and those prices could be reached, but it doesn't mean that it is a guaranteed thing, it will take some time before we could reach that bull run, it's not happening anytime soon by the looks of it.
1905  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX CEO says company engaged in 'old fashioned embezzlement' under SBF on: December 16, 2022, 07:45:22 PM
This wasn't really a shocking thing to anyone, it was already obvious. The shocking part is the amount, I mean how did he managed to embezzle that much money without anyone noticing earlier? This company bankrupted with sooo much money from the funds of the users, which means that in order for this to be possible, a lot of people must have seen it and either not say a word, or they were paid to look the other way as well.

You can't just embezzle billions without anyone knowing, you can embezzle it, that part is possible, but you would have to pay a lot of people to shut up about it as well. I want to know who those were, and SBF to clearly give names to the court.
1906  Economy / Economics / Re: Vegetable Prices Soar 40% as Crops Fail Under Extreme Weather on: December 16, 2022, 07:01:52 PM
And when people talk about climate change, many people think that it's a fud and not a real thing. This is it, the bone dry California, the monsoon rains in Florida, the Chinese weather, the Ukraine war, and all the things in between.

Just because there is a global warming, do not think that it's only about warning, it's about cold being too cold, and hot being too hot that is why they changed it to climate change instead of global warming so people would understand. The prices will soar even more, and weather will be even worse, and drinkable water will be even more hard to find, that is all we can do right now and nothing else.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 16, 2022, 06:42:21 PM
The point is that you have to pay curacao, you have to pay for virtual offices, and you have to have a minimum bankroll as well. Curacao is of course easier, but none of that is the hardest part, that is the easiest part if you ask me.

The hardest part is marketing, as someone who worked within marketing before, I can tell you that there is no limit to how much you can pay for it, you could pay 100 bucks per month on marketing, or 100 million a year, both are valid and could be spent, and nobody would say "where should we use all this money for marketing", it's all gone, within first days, because you just hire big influencers and celebs and it's all gone. So that is the biggest capital requirement, not the license.
1908  Economy / Economics / Re: This could be the biggest news in 2022 on: December 16, 2022, 06:04:21 PM
I feel like it is not a big deal at all, this is just a naming rights thing. I mean 15 million dollars for a bank? Imagine how small that must be normally and I doubt that it would be any better later on as well. Just imagine the situation we are in and that should tell you how easy it is. I know people who have that much money, and if I know PEOPLE who can, then I am pretty sure that there are companies who can easily buy the whole thing as well.

This is of course not an easy task, 15 million is a lot for you and me probably, but not the biggest news in 2022 neither. Banks in most nations have billions upon billions deposited to them alone, and many other incomes.
1909  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 15, 2022, 10:30:09 PM
This is so true. I had the same thing nearly 10 years ago now, I worked at an office, had a side hustle and then I started to end up earning enough to quit my job, to be fair I got fired and did not quit, but the job I found was such a wonderful job that I kept working at it and now I am still working with it.

This is an amazing job for me and I am super happy about it and I am going to keep being happy about it for a long time as well. People who are not entirely sure about side hustles should try some, I guarantee you that it will give you some happiness. The weird part is, we used to spend this free time on hobbies, now we use them on trying to earn money.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 15, 2022, 09:33:51 PM
France. I said this before, I said this during quarter finals, I wasn't sure before that, but when France faced England and all others faced their opponents, I knew that France would win. It was obvious from how good they play, it's really not even close to anyone and their biggest opponent so far has been England and they won that easily if you ask me.

I know if Kane made that penalty then it wouldn't be this easy, but they played so well in that game too. I am guessing that France will have an easy time beating Argentina. I believe no player in France is as good as Messi, he is better than all of France players, including Mbappe, but overall France is better as a squad.
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 14, 2022, 09:11:03 PM
It was definitely a great game to watch for sure. Lakers made one of the best comebacks in years for them, not in the league but Lakers barely make any comebacks now so this was the best one in a long time. And not only that, they also lead by like nearly 10 points or so at one point, a 32-5 run if I remember correctly from last night. However they decided to botch it last minute and lost it.

I feel like it's not going to be that easy for them to recover from this because they used all of their energy on this game, they tried really hard, next game should be a loss I am guessing because everyone will be incredibly tired by the time they play.
1912  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Inflation is 7.1%. Bitcoin price broke $18,000. What's next? on: December 14, 2022, 05:39:22 PM
I know that inflation not being as high as expected is a great deal, and looking at the gas prices and how it dropped that means that long term the inflation may drop even further. However, people were not making enough money to begin with, so they would probably not be able to invest just a bit longer until it settles down a bit. I have absolutely no idea if it will be easy or hard or anything, I just have no idea at all.

I feel like the best thing to do right now would be making sure that we are ready, and that is the most important thing. I know that we shouldn't really be doing something if we are not aware of the situation, and I am not making any big deals just yet.
1913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The FED pivot? on: December 14, 2022, 03:45:19 PM
Considering it looks like it's better than expected, I am not saying that we won't have an increase, but it's true that it may not be 75 points, maybe 50? Something like that.

It is not really great for the markets though, I mean we are talking about a situation where it's still rising, meaning people will still make more money from interest, and that means money going into banks, and that means less money in the markets. That will continue to be the case until we reach to a point where they start to drop the interest rate, doubt that would be easy, so that means we are going to see the market be like this for a while until people are used to it at least.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: US is targeting Binance on: December 14, 2022, 02:39:40 PM
I am guessing that just because something is investigated doesn't mean that it is a crime, nor will it turn out to be a crime or aimed or hoped to be a crime. Something being investigated means it's looked at if it is a crime or not. It means, if Binance follows all the rules then they have nothing to worry about.

Just to fall with US rules and laws, they opened up binance.us, which means that if that is following the law then there is nothing to worry about at all and binance.com is something totally different. Just because the parent companies are the same, doesn't mean that a crime binance.com may do, doesn't mean binance.us is also a crime neither.
1915  Economy / Economics / Re: Retailers make more profit than wholesalers during inflation. on: December 13, 2022, 09:03:44 PM
Putting branding and effort into something is what matters the most. You could find a shirt for 9.99 and sell it for 19.99 if you are a retail seller and can actually sell it. Sales is the most important part of every company and it upsets me that most people do not see it.

Your idea, your invention, your website, your product, your machinery, your foods taste, NOTHING matters if you can't sell it. Find a way to send people to mars for 10 bucks per person, if you can't sell it then someone else will steal or buy your product and replicate it and sell it for a billion dollars each. So, it's all about retailers being able to sell a lot better, compared to wholesale.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whales.bet -Decentralized Bitcoin Prediction Market running on Bitcoin sidechain on: December 13, 2022, 06:52:33 PM
I have to say the "idea" is good, I have no clue if it will work or liked or hyped or whatever, maybe it will fail, maybe it will go for a long time, I have zero clue.

All I can say right now is that the "premise" of this is good enough to support a whole business and I feel like someone who is famous and rich would have taken this to millions of dollars easily, because they have money and fame and that gives you the most important two things for any casino, one is capital as with every business, and the other is to influence people to check it out which is also important in every business. Will this go on? Depends on marketing and capital of the creators.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is crypto staking? Is staking worth it? on: December 13, 2022, 06:11:10 PM
As with everything else in crypto, it all depends on how much you trust yourself and the investment. Just because something is staking doesn't mean it will be good or bad, just because it is not staking doesn't mean it's good or bad, staking doesn't suddenly change anything. Sure the system changes, but a bad one will be bad with or without staking, a good one will be good with or without staking.

I always had some cake, and staked it for example on pancakeswap, but that doesn't mean it didn't drop as much as others during this bear run, it did, but I still trust it and hold it and hope at it will do great when the bull run comes back in the future.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who are responsible for the bear run on: December 13, 2022, 04:09:21 PM
To be honest FTX happened when bitcoin was already at 18-19k levels, got up to 20-21k when people heard Binance may take over, and then crashed to 16k levels when that failed, but the price was at around 18k or so before that. Right now we are above 17k, which means we haven't fallen even 10% since that day, barely 5% to be fair, probably less.

This is a huge proof that, we dropped from 68k to this price, hence FTX can't be responsible for anything at all, all these other names, other companies, or ftx, nobody is responsible for it. Bear run started last year and whatever caused it was the reason and since then we are still feeling the waves of it, that's it.
1919  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investors to Get Richer When Fed Pivots, Prints Trillions of Dollars on: December 12, 2022, 09:53:08 PM
Well, interestingly stock market goes up like that too. When you print free money, people do buy bitcoin that is true and the price goes up, but people also buy stocks and gold and silver too and those prices go up too.

That is also called inflation, which means during a period with 10% inflation, if your company made 3% more profit than last year then you failed, you should be making at least 11% profit to keep up, probably more and most companies charge more to make that extra profit, and that means your investments go up, but your costs too and that is why it's not that vital for people to focus just on bitcoin, you could invest in anything and will do fine.
1920  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance's Alleged Crypto Audit Failed, Its Auditor Refused to Vouch For It on: December 12, 2022, 08:56:40 PM
I have to say it is not really that much of a big deal compared to what we have seen with FTX, at the very least we are talking about Binance showing their papers to a place, there could be some disagreements on how the calculation should be made, but at the very least it is shown and that's what matters.

If there was a big deal like it is empty, then they would say that and it would be obvious, but since it is not empty then we know that it may or may not be 1:1 ratio, but at least it is filled a bit. This is a good thing, we should be able to use this to feel better if we want to, if you don't feel that way, just take your money out, binance is open for withdrawals.
