2181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen in the crypto war? on: October 04, 2022, 05:19:23 PM
I do not think that we would have "people vs governments" type of war ever in the crypto world. At the end of the day, we are talking about something that is going to be beneficial for the governments to track and tax it instead of be against it, and that is what we should be aiming at.

I am not saying that it is a good idea to track everyone and tax them, that would be bad as well and it would centralize the way we use crypto at the very best case, and could be a lot worse in the long term. But if governments can do that, then isn't it better to make money off it, then ban it? What could crypto do to hurt the economy, it would only improve it if you ask me.
2182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum switch from PoW to PoS on: October 03, 2022, 08:43:26 PM
I would assume that it is not just 1 dollar an ounce to mine it, it means you need to lock millions of dollars to mine it. The difference is that, you would have to buy 1 million dollars worth of equipment to mine gold, and then you would mine that much, instead now you are locking that 1 million dollars, in cash, and not touch it, to mine that gold.

Same amount of money spent, just not on equipment but towards locking it somewhere where you can't spend it while mining it. If that was the case, I think that the price of it not would just stay the same, but would also grow, why? Because people wouldn't need technical information, they only need to lock it and not touch it, so it could be done by a lot more people.
2183  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will be the Bottom of Bitcoin till 2025? on: October 03, 2022, 08:23:51 PM
I feel like we already reached the bottom until that date. I mean we reached 17.6k as bottom during this period, and that should probably stay until the next time. I am not saying that it is impossible for us to get any lower, of course it is possible but I feel like it is unlikely at the same time.

We are probably going to see it go up from here on out, and that is why the price is very important when we are talking about the future and how it should not reach another bottom. I understand we are very close, just a 3-4k drop and we are going to be under that price and those type of falls easily happen, but the support line there is looking strong enough to keep us above that level.
2184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Charges 2 Firms and 4 Individuals in Crypto Pump-and-Dump Scheme on: October 03, 2022, 07:16:01 PM
It's going to be a difficult process to assume crypto could continue the way it used to, we should realize that it's not going to be similar anymore and it is going to have some hard time for sure. I believe that the best thing to do would be making sure that what we did back in the day is still okay with the law.

Pump and Dump was something I never participated or initiated before, but I know for a fact that it was done in the crypto world a lot, and now that SEC is involved with crypto a lot, if you do that then it's illegal and you would be caught like this. So people should be extra careful, and it's good that pump and dumps are prohibited, they were bad anyway.
2185  Economy / Economics / Re: Against the British pound, Bitcoin trade volume shoots up!! on: October 03, 2022, 06:33:41 PM
I assume that UK had a bit of a trouble back to back with this PM change and Liz Truss but on top of that queen died. It can't all be a chance just after both of these happened that they had a big downfall, it's obvious that it's going to be related for sure.

This is why I am guessing that the best thing to do would be making sure that we are doing the right thing now, and if we can just try to realize that fiat will always lose value over long period of time and put our money into bitcoin which could have down years like this year, but also grows bigger eventually then we could at least have a chance to make a good amount of profit, instead of keeping it in pound and lose gradually.
2186  Economy / Economics / Re: Scientists say food insecurity drove international conflict 2000 years ago on: October 03, 2022, 04:38:05 PM
The biggest scare that I read in the OP's post is the fact that USA could invade anywhere they want, and get whatever they need to keep living a proper life. And that's not even the scariest part, I mean sure it's scary but that's not the point, the scary part is that everyone will be alright with it.

Russia attacked Ukraine and we all condemned them, we find that as a terrible thing and west put sanctions against them and life has been different for Russians ever since. What happened when USA invaded Iraq or Afghanistan? Did absolutely nothing and we all cheered them and even other nations helped them during the war, that's the scary thing about this situation.
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crash Incoming? on: October 02, 2022, 08:28:32 PM
It’s obvious that bitcoin is getting impacted by the markets and the recession lovers right now who would see recession and high interest rates with high unemployment as the only way to prevent inflation to stop.

I am not saying it is not going to work, but there are better methods such as preventing more money printing, and promoting investment which would cause the world to invest and that money would be gone and only return as bigger returns as investment profits, and that could be done by government by giving benefits to people who offer more jobs, you have money? great, hire more people and government will give huge tax breaks. So as long as we have these governments, it is not going to go well for any of us.
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 02, 2022, 06:48:32 PM
I mean getting someone like Blake Griffin for what is nearly nothing for a team owner is a good deal. I am not saying he will change anything for the team, for that price, without hurting your cap, you are not going to get much better than that.

There weren't any decent FA's left, and they got Blake for pennies on the dollar, and he will be like a 8th player in the team level of player at his age and body situation, maybe even 9th, but like I said it’s not expected of him to be the best player in the team, it's expected of him to just play decent enough, like 15 minutes a game, and provide "something" with that kind of money and nothing more, which he can definitely do.
2189  Economy / Economics / Re: Can commodities return to its price last year? on: October 02, 2022, 10:01:04 AM
It won't go back to what it used to be, but that is not what we are trying to achieve here neither, what we are trying to see is the prices staying the same. If something went from 1 dollar to 2 dollars, it's ok for it to stay at 2 dollars and not go back to 1 dollar, but more important thing is for it to not go to 4 dollars and double again, we need to stop that part.

So, let it be staying at the same price, there is no worry there, our salary will catch up to it eventually, the reality is that we should be reaching to a point where the prices stay, but salaries grow and when that happens, we will live a comfortable life all over again.
2190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Kwon on the run, Binance becomes the target of the LUNC community. on: October 01, 2022, 02:50:35 PM
When the interpol gets in the way of it, you know how serious of a trouble that project is in. I know that majority of the crypto world knows that they shouldn't be invested in it, but to all those people who still think that this could recover should realize that it can't, maybe they are the minority these days but they need to realize that this isn't a joke and it is a serious job as well.

I personally would like to see it doing a lot better as well, why wouldn't I want a project to do well, it is not my wish to see it dead. But when Interpol is looking for the owner of a project, that tells me it is both risky, and also quite centralized as well.
2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly was the Ethereum Merge? on: September 30, 2022, 06:50:34 PM
There will be a million people explaining what it is, but let me tell you what it was for. It was for the fact that miners have been taking advantage of the situation too much and people overpaying for the transactions, now this way it would be cheaper, faster, no congestion, and it would allow people to know exactly how much they would make, instead of letting people drive up the price.

Will it work? I do not know really, but it is obvious that we are talking about something that will take some time before we know if it works or not, I will give it a year and after a year if there are no glaring mistakes that means it has worked for everyone.
2192  Economy / Economics / Re: Buckle up, America: The Fed plans to sharply boost unemployment on: September 30, 2022, 04:21:03 PM
Unfortunately, they are sort of right with the path they are taking because we do not have any other way. It is the system that is broken and in this current system we have no other way of making sure that it is going to work any other way. Doesn't mean that it’s a great way, of course there are some roadblocks and there are some problems we face on the way, such as unemployment, and also the people who are working are having trouble as well.

But that’s the capitalist system we have built and if we go with it, then the best way to slow down inflation which is a huge problem, would be creating a recession, because people would not be putting their money on the market anymore to slow inflation down.
2193  Economy / Economics / Re: America Has Lost Its Oil Buffer on: September 30, 2022, 02:55:21 PM
The good side about the current situation is that USA still has some oil that they are not drilling for, obviously for environment reasons but they are definitely looking at something that is profitable for them to recover if things get too heated. Oil is something that is getting higher in price without some cap that should have been there to begging with.

I understand that the price of oil has gone up due to this Russian war deal, but it has gone up so much that oil companies are making record breaking profits, which means that it didn't have to be this high, companies are taking advantage of the situation and nothing more, and they could stop that too.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 29, 2022, 07:41:30 PM
Newcastle spent a good chunk of money to build the team they have right now, some of the players were already there but they built something amazing around those players in a single season after they were bought out. I am guessing that with more seasons and fair play financially allowing them to grow, they are just going to keep on growing bigger and bigger, and they need results for that.

The bigger they become the better they will be and that’s going to really impact the way they get players and get better as well. So, these type of games are a must win for them, there is no way they could afford to lose this game and needs to win for sure.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 29, 2022, 07:19:10 PM
Another news out of PSG is that Mbappe wants to find a way to send Neymar off, he is definitely a great player but he is acting too childish if you ask me. If they actually do that, and they get worse because of it because they will, then it’s all on Mbappe. By the looks of it he rather be the big fish in a small pond then be the big fish in the big pond.

I am shocked that players could have emotions about their teammates and impact the game because of it, I used to work in an office and I disliked so many of my coworkers and yet that didn't cause me to tell the management to fire them, I just worked and kept the chatting with them to a minimum.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 29, 2022, 06:58:10 PM
These type of big clubs do not just underestimate their opponents, they just crash them without even thinking about it. I understand that there have been some games when a huge name club ended up losing to a lower level team but that happens every single season to every huge club, it’s just near impossible to have a season where you win every game, or not lose at least.

This means that it is not about underestimating the other team, they didn't lose to any other, so losing to this can't be just because of that, if they lose ever, to any lower level team, it is because that’s the nature of football. You will always keep seeing shocking results every year.
2197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or Technical Analyst. Which one are you? on: September 29, 2022, 06:24:30 PM
Fundamental has never let me down and I believe that I will always go with it. Technical Analyst is something that shows what crypto could do or what the market is thinking and then something major happens and everyone changes their idea and if you are too late then you are going to lose money.

We have seen plenty of times when charts showed that it should be going up and the market is building up for something great, and then some news from some government comes out and the price crashes. I am not really fine with that, fundamental investment on something good for a few years is the way to go, holding bitcoin for 10 years can't hurt at all for example.
2198  Economy / Economics / Re: A great resignation is incoming to the IT powerhouse of the world on: September 29, 2022, 06:09:43 PM
This isn't just India neither, this is the whole world. We had the same thing in USA for example, and we had it in UK, and France I believe, only place that looks solid right now is Germany as always.

The employers started to realize that they could put more work on employees and the more they put the cheaper workforce became and they didn't realize that there is a point where people would quit, there isn't a "warning sign" about things like this, you overwork someone until they quit, and if people start to do it all at once, then companies would be in dire situation to hire some people hence everyone who quit would find a job somewhere else who needs them, so workers will win in the end, by simply exchanging jobs between each other.
2199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning - 100,000 ETH Giveaway!!!! on: September 29, 2022, 02:08:29 PM
I am sorry but this is such an easy thing to see that if you are still falling for it, maybe you need to fall for it to learn better? At the end of the day I have never got fooled by these before, but let's assume I could back in the day when they first started, but now?

Now, we are talking about something that is insanely common and people are still falling for it, this is known now and it is common enough that even newbies know about it, and you still feel like it could be real? In that case you should be staying away from it. Back in the day, they would even get names close to Vitalik as well, nowadays their username is totally different at least.
2200  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: September 28, 2022, 09:26:11 PM
I guess that 30k would be a possible thing for this October. It will be exactly one year since our ATH and that means we haven't been there again for over a year after this month, still can't see it reaching to 30k+ levels, or at least not to ATH levels for sure.

But, I can see it start to go up and that's going to be an important situation for all of us. If we can start to go up, then November will be even easier and then December as always would be a great month where we could break over our ATH. People are seeing how it hasn't been over ATH for over a year and imagine it would be very hard for us to reach there, but the reality is that it takes like 2 months give or take to break over ATH if we reach to a bull run.
