2381  Economy / Economics / Re: Are CBDCs good for the economy? on: August 11, 2022, 06:22:56 PM
There is a big difference between CBDC and stablecoins. CBDC will be done with governments approval and that would be the key point there, and if you do that then you are going to be fine. But, if you are looking at things that would benefit you in the long run, stablecoins are different and they are a lot better.

I do not think that it would be great to invest in either, I would rather not do that, but if I had to pick one, I would go with BUSD over everything else. Because, I trust Binance more than I trust any other stablecoin or any government, they actually do want the best for you because what's best for you is best for them as well.
2382  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia More Than Triples Current-Account Surplus to $167 Billion on: August 11, 2022, 06:29:30 AM
This is nothing; yeah, because they already got those people who had money back into the nation and into the economy and they have this, but they won't have it forever. As long as everyone else agrees that they are not going to end up with something special and remove sanctions or something, then Russia will sell less and less and less to the world.

The renewable energy sector will keep on growing bigger, and eventually people will not want what Russia has. This is a short term gain for them, good for them too because money today means a lot more than money tomorrow, so if they invest it accordingly and get ahead, they could keep on being a superpower, but if they get victory drunk, then they will end up losing a lot more in the future.
2383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 10, 2022, 07:28:34 PM
Can't believe that United still makes Maguire into a starter. I mean if it was just one manager then I would say there could be some good relationship between them, but when you have Ole doing that, last year's interim one, and now this year the manager that took Ajax to a whole new level, all using Maguire, that tells me there is something we are missing.

I mean maybe he is not as bad as we think he is? I do not know really, I mean it is pretty obvious that he makes a ton of mistakes, but how is he when you remove those mistakes? Or should you? In the end, all I know is that he is still playing, when he should have been the first one to get sacked as quickly as possible.
2384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need some help: is this a Tether adddress or not? on: August 10, 2022, 02:21:10 PM
It's basically a problem with the chain selection or just a straight up scam sportsbook nothing more. Contact them again and explain to them that this is the address you gave them and there is nothing on the blockchain and if they are willing to help you out then they will give you a reason.

Also, I would like to point out that there are a million good sportsbooks in the crypto world like fortunejack, sportsbet.io, stake all known places, and you picking something I have never heard before as a person who has been here for 500 years or something like that (definitely feels that way with all the ups and downs) shows me that you did something risky yourself.
2385  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 10, 2022, 08:08:30 AM
I get the need for an office job, but there is a limit to that as well. Unless you are going to be the CEO of the company you work for, there isn't really a good idea to stay in an office job forever. My dad did, he worked in the same company for 28 years and he worked in his sector as an office worker for 35 years total, and what does he have? One car and one house.

I can tell you that I just made one car amount of money during 2017 alone, probably more after that (I usually spend that to pay off my debts and live a good life, instead of buying a car though). So, I can easily say that office job is something you do after you graduate, but based on how great you can become, eventually you should transition towards entrepreneurship.
2386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2022, 07:25:23 AM
It makes sense for United to not get Arnautovic, I mean he is 33 years old, if they are going to spend any money on anyone at least make them a younger one, you know? They already have a problem with an older player right now (Ronaldo lol) and they do not need another one for it. They should look for a young talent, I know it's hard but they are out there and they could find it.

At this point even a 19 year old kid would do, they just need money for it and I do not know who they got but they really need more money already, the roster is horrible and getting him wouldn't help them enough, they would need someone fresher to help them out, a Sancho like transfer again.
2387  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession: The Government's Obvious Mistake on: August 09, 2022, 08:29:17 PM
Recession was not something the government created or their mistake, inflation was their mistake, recession is their way of trying to save it the only way they know. The whole system is terrible and in this system there isn't much you could do.

If there weren't lockdowns then there would have been more death, and if there were more death then there would be other side that will banish them and not vote for them, people who hate lockdowns have a good reason and they say they won't vote for people who lock them down, but people who thought lockdowns needed are higher in numbers, plus they wanted people to not die, that's a lot more important than economy for sure, be unemployed but alive, not dead but high employment rate because of it.
2388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 09, 2022, 08:09:47 PM
I cannot believe that something we talked about as a potentially a championship team, ended up not being even a decent team after just one season. With Irving and Harden and Durant, they looked like they were really good and ready. Harden went first (for nothing) and then Durant and Irving want out as well.

Fans are right to be angry, Nets did nothing wrong to these people and they took over 100 million dollars for just one playoff run that ended badly right away. I can't say good things about these players, sure Durant won a ring or two, but he has always been like this and Irving has one too and he deserved it but after that it went all downhill as well.
2389  Economy / Speculation / Re: A next generation "algo stable coin" is about to wipe out all stablecoins period on: August 09, 2022, 11:43:06 AM
Algo stablecoins technically can't survive. I mean just because of the simple fact that unless it has more money in it then any one single person can conjure, or even a group of people, that means it can't survive.

You need to have like 100+ billion dollars in it for a safety in case anything like UST happens, and it will not have that much money in it. Whatever you do, as long as it is going to be "protected" by a system that requires people to spend their money to recover it, that will not be working at all and it will cause it to go down. This is why people do not trust them right now and they will continue to not trust them at all for a long time as well.
2390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LUNC 1.2% burn per transaction = is this true or lies? on: August 09, 2022, 10:01:09 AM
As long as the name is Luna, you should stay away from it. I really do not know if they burn or not each transaction, but they can burn 1.2% of total supply and I wouldn't care. They screwed up and they can't fix this anymore, it is not going to happen. Just focus on what you can do, and ignore the fact that Luna ever existed.

If you keep on hoping that one day it will get better again, then you are going to end up with a loss all over again. This is why it is dangerous to put any money into it, since it "may" look like it is good for just a while, but then it will end up not being that good at all eventually when the day comes and you will be sorry about it.
2391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will people finally abandon Tron? on: August 09, 2022, 09:00:38 AM
I guess never? There is this feeling in crypto world that anything could make a comeback and that is very important to the people. I am not saying that it is going to be impossible for Tron to make a comeback but it is darn hard job to do that, but they saw doge reaching below 3 cents and then hit over 70 cents so they think that any coin could go something like that as well if it gets picked up by whales.

Tron is a horrible coin with absolutely no interest, one of the oldest ones on smart contract world that still failed to attract any projects to be on their blockchain. So, I do not see a way out for them, it will surely be a bad one if you ask me for a long long time.
2392  Economy / Economics / Re: Do cash control spending more than digital or crypto currency? on: August 08, 2022, 08:24:43 PM
I do agree that when you are holding the cash in your hands, you spend it less and realize how much you are spending and seeing it go down. When you have it on your card or if you have a credit card then you do not perfectly understand what you are spending that on. As a married person I can tell you that for my wife "we need this" things are a lot, and that's why I have been living in a debt world for the past 10 years, because she thinks that we need things that we do not actually "need", the word lost its meaning on her.

You need water, you need food, you need a house to live in, those are things that you need, "we need a pepper and salt shaker" is not a real thing, use the old ones. So when people are like that, you end up seeing the money go down digitally and not realize the mistake you are in, but if it is cash then you would have a better understanding of it.
2393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for August on: August 08, 2022, 06:55:01 PM
I do agree that it is not going to be something that is hard to reach, 2k is right there now and if we go like 10-20% higher than we are going to reach 2k, but at the same time I think it will probably not be something that would be hard to miss neither, we are nearly there and that means we may also miss it.

As a person who usually thinks we are going up at all times, even when going down, I know it is weird to say that it won't be going above 2k, but that is just how I feel. It will eventually be 2k and then 3k and 4k and 5k and even 10k, but until that we are not going to really end up with anything special for the august month, it will be later on for sure.
2394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche [AVAX] can really get a famous platform for DeFi, store of value + NFT on: August 08, 2022, 02:01:53 PM
Avax has a great potential but you can go so far with just potential, they need to find a way to attract a ton of projects under their chain. I am not saying there are none, because there are a lot of them in small caps, but look at ethereum, there are literally tokens over a dozen of them in top 100 with ethereum blockchain.

So, if Avax keeps having a million other projects which doesn't even crack into top 1000, then it will not matter, because one project in top 20 would be bigger deal than one million of them out of top 1000, and Avax needs to find some there. Millions exchange hands, and all done in different projects, it needs to be on a few only.
2395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which use case or utility will lead in 2024 or next bull market on: August 08, 2022, 09:48:19 AM
By the looks of it, usually something that barely started during the first one but didn't get any proper attention. Back in the 2014 period ETH got a bit of attention but not a whole lot, 2017 let ETH grow huge. During 2017 the "nft" world got a bit interest, but tech wasn't there yet, cryptokitties etc clogged ETH but wasn't ready, then in 2021 we saw that go up a lot.

I think metaverse didn't get enough attention, I mean there were only a few projects and they got all the money, just like previous examples, but I think the whole idea would grow when we see the next one, plenty of projects are getting ready and developing for that next bull run to release their new metaverse projects.
2396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 08, 2022, 08:54:38 AM
My mind doesn't really understand the whole concept of Barcelona being in debt and still spending the most. If they are in so much debt and la liga doesn't allow them to do "something" (not really understood what they do not allow) and then Barcelona goes ahead and spends the most money on a summer.

How does that work? I get that they sold a lot of stuff, their tv rights in a part, jersey sales and etc etc, but at the same time it makes no sense to me that they would make this kind of situation possible if you ask me, sounds like a weird place to be in. Can someone clearly explain to me what was the trouble they were in, and how did they get out of it to spend this much money?
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2022, 08:22:09 PM
PSG finally showing us what they could do with their trio. I mean Mbappe could be missing but they had Messi and Neymar scoring and that was the only thing that was needed. The whole idea is that they have three players who are at the superstar level, you can't get better than that and they are using this trio in a way that if one of them is not doing well then other two would, and if two does not so well at least one could try to survive, and if all three plays well then there is no team that can stand against them.

Hence, this 5-0 start is very important, maybe the game itself was unimportant but how they played to show the world what they are capable of was important.
2398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People got it wrong about the slope hack on: August 07, 2022, 02:55:40 PM
Solana is a technologically bad blockchain that could be hacked into, that is the only thing to talk about right now. I know that not many people would like to hear this, and even right now the price hasn't crashed and burned like it did with Luna, which it should have. But that is the reality, to me one SOL doesn't worth 10 cents right now, and anyone who buys currently are opening themselves up for any future trouble.

I made my friend sell his SOL a few days before this hack, saying "maybe not tomorrow but one day there will be a problem" and just a few days later this happens, he was very grateful to me. I am telling you all the same, sell it right now and get out.
2399  Economy / Economics / Re: TOPIC: Pros and Cons of saving fiat versus saving Bitcoin in this current econom on: August 06, 2022, 08:36:36 AM
One thing for me; not using banks. I started my crypto adventure based on not having any type of love for the banks and that meant that if I could keep all of my money in crypto then I would and I would only put any fiat in my bank account only when I need to spend it, until I need to spend it, it stays in the crypto world. Hell even if I want to keep it in fiat and not in crypto because of a bear run or anything, then I would turn it to stablecoin and just be done with it.

So, I beleive that it shouldn't be a problem to pick crypto over banks. It is literally a way to make yourself the bank and people are missing that which is a big problem in this market.
2400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we at the bottom? no one knows, but market is doing fine. on: August 06, 2022, 07:45:41 AM
Considering the situation we are in right now, I wouldn't say that we are at the bear market anymore let alone be in the bottom. The bottom was long time ago and right now we are doing fine, people should realize that once you start to do good, that is not going to change that easily.

We reached 68k before we started to go back down, I do not think that it will stop at 25k max and then start to go back down again this time around. This wasn't just a small increase, our bottom was close to 17k and our top reached 25k in the recent period, that means it was a 50% or close give or take increase. I do not think that dead cat bounce would be as high as this one.
