2021  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX drama and it’s long term consequences: Bitcoin is a confidence Game. on: November 14, 2022, 07:05:35 PM
I do agree that as long as there is confidence to any part of crypto then there would be a good amount of price increase, and when there isn't enough trust, to either the security or safety or the price or anything, then it doesn't do well at all.

That’s not something uncommon in the market, when we are talking about let’s say stock market, we would definitely not have anything major there neither, if people lose all their trust and hope about Apple or Amazon, they would definitely not invest into that or sell too. This is why I believe that trust and confidence and even "liking" something all matters even though it is mostly about numbers and data.
2022  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto should follow Satoshi's vision. on: November 14, 2022, 06:29:22 PM
The idea of decentralization and freedom is not because it would depend on the price or the value, it would be depending on the "control" of the currency.

Governments can print fiat anytime they want, they even have the right to block your money in the bank and not allow you to withdraw (Happened in many nations) so that means you do not own your money, the government does and they do whatever they want with it. Whereas crypto is purely owned by you, you could do silly stuff with it, and cause trouble for yourself, but it is your decision and there is nothing wrong with that. All those FTX and LUNA and what not were the things we did, but freely, not something other people did to make us lose.
2023  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ Football Injuries and Injury Updates! on: November 14, 2022, 05:13:33 PM
I think no player that would make the worlds difference and them missing would cause the team to be worse is there in the list. France of course will miss Kante and Pogba, those are two great players and they would have been awesome for them but at the end of the day we are talking about a situation where these players are not the make or break for their teams.

The big teams are France, England and Brazil, and they are missing players for sure, but none of the players that miss makes them not the favourites, they are still are which means these injuries meant nothing to do. These players are only "would be good to have" level and not "must have them" levels at all.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: November 14, 2022, 02:34:01 PM
To be fair Auxerre played like a lower division team and not like a big club. They were horrible, this wasn't just about PSG being good, which they are, but this is a bit about how terrible their opponents played as well.

It is not an easy thing to do and I believe that we are looking at something that is a phenom right now, when teams are playing against PSG they know they will lose even if they play their hardest so they start to play even worse than they normally would because they lose hope, and that’s going to be a lot of terrible results for teams. These teams should realize that getting 3 points out of PSG game would be better than any other 3 points and player harder instead.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are those people that you don't want them to know you are a gambler on: November 13, 2022, 07:11:03 PM
Well, mainly my parents. Even though I am married and left my parent’s house long years ago, even though they are an old retired couple in a town now whereas I am working hard in a city, even if everything looks like I am just a grown man making my own decisions and my parents have no say in any of that, I still wouldn't want my father to know about it.

For two reasons mainly, one is intellectual and the second is financial. Intellectual because my father is a smart guy who reads a lot of books and would be disappointed in me if he knew that I was gambling against house edge, something 100% guaranteed to make me lose money, that is stupid but we like it. Financial because.. well you lose, that is the financial reason.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 13, 2022, 04:16:23 PM
Victor Osimhen is definitely having a great season, an amazing season and there is no doubt that he worths a lot right now. Napoli is having one of their best ever seasons as well. However, has he been doing that consistently for a long time? I think he is a good young talent but he is not really worth "lets pay him 70 million euro and put him on striker right away" level today.

But, if he keeps this up just one more season, this year and next year, then all the big clubs in the world will want him. For now? I still think Real should chase Mbappe as further as they can while they have Benzema, if they fail then Benzema will be good, and then they can look for Osimhen during 2024 summer.
2027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding Whales and How Price Is Affected. I need someone who understands on: November 13, 2022, 10:33:02 AM
Of course manipulation by whales is happening and it is always "possible", but at the same time is it really that much possible for someone to pump and dump bitcoin? Unless they have tens of billions of dollars (Elon) then I am sure that not that many people would care. Look at Warren Buffet, dude is one of the richest in the world and he says he doesn't like bitcoin and the price doesn't change because of that, why would it change because of anything else?

I am guessing that people could do it with low level coins, the stuff that has very low volume and liquidity, but that is about it. They can do that with stocks too, go ahead and buy some pink slips and you could increase the price of it by a big margin.
2028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New technologies are going to replace every existing method✍️ on: November 12, 2022, 12:51:22 AM
I honestly believe that nothing will be impacted in a good way out of this situation. I know many people hope that there will be something good coming out of this, but crypto does not work like that. Normally if you see something going bad, then in any other situation you will look for an alternative that wouldn't have the same bad thing and you would be protected better next time.

But in crypto, it’s not like that, when you see something going bad, then you just get out and not invest into anything else neither, just put it on btc or eth and make sure it’s safe. That type of reactions are the reason why when one thing goes down, others do not go up, it all goes down.
2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO CRASH on: November 11, 2022, 07:06:21 PM
I don't think people realize how quickly we go up when the bull run starts. The pessimism about the crypto prices and the crash and the "difficulty to go up" is something that people keep talking about because they do not realize how high bitcoin could go just as bull starts.

I understand that it has been over a year since people saw a bull run, but that happened in 2018 as well and we all felt horrible about it. Just give a year more, and you will see it start to recover, not another new ATH and all, maybe that will happen or maybe it won't but that’s not the case, just a recover. After another year on top of that we could see mind boggling insane increases that will make you forget bitcoin ever crashed.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 11, 2022, 06:11:52 PM
Sao Paolo is starting today, it’s going to be a bit wild weather we do not know how it will be. People know that wet weather, like rain and such do make a difference (I do not remember much when it snowed to be fair, anyone remembers anything like that?) and that’s fine but people forget that too hot is a thing too, and if it’s too hot you don't race very well, and what is expected this week is from weather to go from hot to cold to hot and that’s going to make tires a bit weirder in the long run.

Let’s wait and see what happens, but I believe that Max will not shock anyone and end up with a win all over again, unless there is a crash of course in which case who knows what will happen.
2031  Economy / Economics / Re: US inflation rate drops to 7.7%, Wall Street surges , Bitcoin gains on: November 11, 2022, 03:48:31 PM
I mean cooling off was expected, that’s not a shocking result to be fair. Yes, there were a lot of people who saw the doomsday there is no denying that, and to be fair there is a bit of "doom" involved which is the fact that we shouldn't have these type of periods this quickly, we should have them rarely, humanity goes through terrible periods of economic crisis very commonly for the past 2 decades or so, and that’s the doomsday if you want one.

However, "it’s not going to recover, we will hit 100% inflation!!! RUN!!!" type of idiot so called experts just like to make big scary situations so that they would be heard, "it sucks that we have this, but we will be fine in the end" is not really a story to write about on newspapers.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 11, 2022, 03:02:03 PM
Juventus had a very good win, they played very well and the score doesn't show it but they were seriously amazing. In a week, where Inter had such a dominant win, Juventus really needed the win to stay ahead and make sure that they are not losing anything while having so many players missing, they have like nearly 10 players missing so that means they need every single win to stay relevant before those players come back and they are doing alright so far.

Inter of course had wonderful game, easy win, nothing to really talk about there because they just took the game by storm and destroyed their opponents and had an easy week, not really common for them this year.
2033  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I talked with very smart person he told me about crypto people need to know on: November 11, 2022, 02:38:42 PM
Trolling on bitcointalk is a common thing. I believe that it is the same dude, go back a few years and you will see that there are few accounts that keep on trolling, starting these type of topics, and then leaving, and then starting another and another and people talk on those topics. I am not against it because it actually gives us a good number of same things to look for, because we chat on these topics, otherwise it would be a dull website.

So, even though he is trolling and makes absolutely no sense and totally annoying, he is also helpful because it gives us a place to rant and vant at the same time and just get the hatred out of ourselves and just talk peacefully afterwards.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 10, 2022, 09:06:55 PM
It is unbelievable what Bucks players are doing even without Giannis and Kris Middleton at the same time. I mean this team is keep winning games and they are missing their 2 best players. I used to think that Bucks was great thanks to Giannis, and even believed that Giannis alone couldn't do much if Kris didn't help so much with the scoring.

Now.. well I am not so sure, apparently Bucks is already good and Giannis is of course 2 time MVP and having a third MVP season nowadays, but that doesn't mean it’s like Lebron in Cavs and when you take him they sucked type of deal, it is actually good even without their MVP caliber player and that’s an amazing thing.
2035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin really crashing on: November 10, 2022, 08:16:58 PM
Market gets shocked too quickly, I never truly understood it and that didn't make any sense to me at all. I am not saying that it should not be volatile or just change and all that, sure it can do that but it doesn't mean that it should be like this and act too wild.

The best thing it could do right now would be being calm, all this already happened and moved, just be calm. The movement up wouldn't even be good, because if you become 23k today for example, that means the volatility is so high that the market would lose credibility. Just be patient and it will recover eventually and you will do better. Just a stable market for a while is what we need.
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: The most stupid dip in Bitcoin's history - and why we can be happy now on: November 10, 2022, 06:55:01 PM
It is not the most stupid one, I can tell you which one is the most stupid dip ever. Back in November 2018 or so, there was a war between BCH and Craig Wright. The creators of Bitcoin cash, roger ver and jihan wu if I am not wrong, wanted to keep the power of BCH in their hands, they wanted to control it, Craig Wright wanted to take the control of it, and he had a ton of bitcoins to attack it as well.

So, he sold tens of thousands of bitcoins, got a lot of money for it, paid a bunch of miners, and tried to take the control of it. He failed, but that sell of thousands of bitcoins caused it to drop even harder, and this was 2018 so it was already bear market. That one was the worst dip, and made no sense.
2037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Elliot Wave Theory a self fullfiling prophecy? on: November 10, 2022, 05:48:23 PM
Give or take. That’s the reason why not many people see that as a guessing mechanism, but more like analysis and report giving stuff. When you check it, you see what has been, and not what will be, and some people try to do that but rarely ever works. It’s a self-fulfilling one because it is obvious and that doesn't mean that it will help anyone at all.

I am guessing that the best thing to do right now would be focusing on the future as a long term approach and keep buying more and more bitcoin. I always say this, as much as you can afford, just buy bitcoin, don't even need to look at other coins if you don't want to, but buy it, and buy in bulk if you can.
2038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to DCA when BTC crashing on: November 10, 2022, 04:49:51 PM
I think the drop doesn't matter at this short period, it is only about when we will go back to bull and that’s it. Obviously, people think that bull run will not start today or tomorrow, but they do not realize that it will start some day and that means we are going to just end up with a good profit eventually. That’s why the current drop doesn't matter, since you will be able to profit from it eventually one way or another.

I personally do not believe that it will be doing badly, and at the same time it’s not going to be a long term problem and it will be fixed as soon as the bull run starts and that will be the key to our success long term, so who cares if it goes down in the short term, I don't care.
2039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im experinced trader i tought i show you guys what i know on: November 10, 2022, 03:46:20 PM
The idea of patronage became a bit more popular these days in the world. It was something centuries ago but after a while industrial age ruined that and we took a few centuries break to it.

The last 10 years with places such as patron, the idea of "I am doing this, this is my work, give me more money to keep doing what I do, or I may quit and nobody will have it" type of idea became more popular. This is of course not a bad thing, actually an amazing thing, only if people are willing to actually do something great for it. If it is like him and have no analysis and not really something worthy of donating, then it will not work, but I hope he gets better and better at it too.
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Will buy Binance? 🤔 on: November 10, 2022, 02:31:24 PM
Binance and all the others that you named are not at the same levels. Binance won't go bust, but even if somehow it does then there are no people who could recover that all. At the end of the day, Binance knew what they were doing with this FTX deal and even though it may have looked big to many people, FTX was tiny compared to most other places and that is why them bankrupting and going down didn't hurt the market too much.

Everyone acts like there is a huge crash and we are dying but a daily 10% drop is nothing in crypto, it is very common, hell we are still above 18k which we were here just a few weeks ago anyway so it is not really a big deal at all and should be seen as normal.
