2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Algorand A good buy or Not? on: November 04, 2022, 06:06:32 PM
Too many people on reddit believes in it, but that doesn't mean that it's going to be any good in the future. This just means that it’s going to be liked by many so there is a hype and community around it. Reddit fell in love with Nano as well back in 2018 altcoin run, and you can see how terrible Nano is doing right now, I bought so much and now it worths nothing.

So Algo is a bit like that, there is a hope for it, there are a lot of people who hope a lot from it, and there are eyes on it that watches every single move, all of which is a great thing for any project but that doesn't mean that it’s going to be any good, it could also end up doing terrible as well.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you watching Online Gambling Streams? Short survey and discussion on: November 04, 2022, 04:33:42 PM
Yes and no. I do watch them if there is something huge going on, like some event, something not to miss because there has been stuff where Drake gave out 500k type of events, and I wouldn't want to miss that, maybe I would be the winner of some huge amount? Who knows. But at the same time no, because I do not watch them as a hobby or free time thing, if there is nothing going on, just a regular streamer gambling is not something I would like to watch.

There needs to be something I could personally gain from it, that would be a reason why I would watch something like that, otherwise I wouldn't watch it if there is no gain for me in the end and it’s just a streamer having fun by himself.
2063  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 04, 2022, 02:23:22 PM
The middle ground of this is people like me who have a freelancer job that has been going on for years. I mean this doesn't really stop each other, you could be at home, get a freelance job, and keep working for that like a salary based on how much you work. Imagine journalism, you write for newspapers right?

The more you write, the more you get paid, so you have incentive to work harder, and if you can write 24 hours a day then you would do that, life sometimes gets in the way but you could totally do that if you could. This is why I believe that it's quite important to face the fact that freelance+monthly income could become something together if you can find that job.
2064  Economy / Economics / Re: Brexit: Rejoining EU takes record 14-point lead in latest poll on: November 04, 2022, 08:43:21 AM
The problem is that UK people thought that EU was doing badly, and UK would be better without EU, but in reality, while EU was doing badly and Brits were right about that, not like UK would do any better without them neither. This is a lose-lose situation and understanding that is a very hard concept. If they stayed or rejoined then it would be bad thing for them, if they stay out then it is still bad too, there is no correct answer here, they are all wrong answers and will result with bad things.

I know that feels quite pessimistic but that’s the reality we are living in, EU will not save UK, and they won't save themselves neither and that’s it.
2065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 04, 2022, 07:19:31 AM
I don't know what the comment is saying, but I can answer for the topic name itself and say 'yes'. People are forgetting that bear is not really going on, it’s doing fine and this stable price is not bad at all. If you look at the price and not realize that it has been the same price for a while now and that’s a good thing, and you could have accumulated so much during this time and that’s a benefit to you, then you do not know how to invest.

The best kind of investment is to wait for it to get to a point where you would do fine, and I personally believe that we are doing fine, if that’s not the case then I do not know what to do and that would be hard to figure out.
2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your reason for investing in NFT? on: November 03, 2022, 09:18:11 PM
I was playing a game (sort of like axie infinity) and it was played with NFT, so I bought one and played the game and I disliked it and sold it back again.

It was some racing game, I forgot the name of it but you would be using matic to buy the car basically, then that car would be your NFT, and then you would race with it but the game wasn't good at all, I mean it was good in the sense that how it looked was okay, definitely good enough levels, but the fact that controllers were hard, so when you turned it would be hard to turn exactly how you should, which is a HUGE problem in a racing game of course, so I gave up and each try cost me money so I didn't want to keep practicing to be better by spending 10 bucks a day.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 03, 2022, 08:59:42 PM
In la liga, there is basically just one thing that you could do and hope that you will be winning by the end of the year. You wager that Real and Barcelona will win every week, you combine the games into one parlay to win bigger, and then you hope that by the end of the season they had more wins at the same time then non-win results so that your return would be higher.

Some season that works very well (same with city and Liverpool works very well too) and some seasons it's not. For the past 10 years I have a friend who does it (I have been doing it very recently) and it did worked out for him like fifty fifty so far, not a bad method to gamble.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 03, 2022, 08:20:11 PM
I am trying to get hyped about the potential matchups, but the football world has been quite the same for a while and I am not really feeling any type of amazement possibility from the upcoming games.

PSG is great, so is Bayern and Real and Liverpool possibly, City too, and I do not see any other possibility. Sure, there is a chance something like Chelsea winning could happen, it happened just one year prior, and those type of shocking results do make me have fun with football all over again, but until then, it's not going to be really that much of a shock to me to see these big clubs to go up and then one of them ends up winning. Might as well PSG or City so they can finally take a breath.
2069  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden Administration Wants To Make It Easier To Seize Crypto on: November 03, 2022, 07:08:05 PM
I still do not believe that Biden vs Trump thing is real, I believe that there are people who control USA and these people are just speakers, they do not really have a power over anyone. However, what I believe will happen is that Biden administration will fail this, they may want it, but they will not actually be able to do anything.

I feel like the best thing to do would be making sure that it is going to be a hard thing to do and if it’s hard to do then it won't be a problem because they are going away soon anyway. In a few months senate will turn republic, and that means everyone will block each other and nobody will be able to do anything.
2070  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 02, 2022, 09:14:32 PM
It is good to see the optimism instilled in people all over again. Too long have people doubted the possibility of bitcoin going up and making all of us a lot of profits. I understand the doubt because it has been over a year since we reached the last ATH but that is how long it takes to get back there.

Remember last time we reached ATH before that, it was 2017 December, and by 2018 October we were 6.5k or so, and dropped to 3k harder in November 2018 as well, so after a year it didn't not only recover but also dropped further. This means as long as we are here, we should be happy and accumulate more and have high hopes that it will eventually recover and go high.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Pauses Gambling Ads in App Store Pages After Developers Complain on: November 02, 2022, 08:40:21 PM
Makes sense, or at least give options to developers? Wouldn't that make more sense, if you give developers a chance to pick what type of ads that will show, and then the amount of money that they will earn based on what they show. Something like "baby toys" would be cheaper since it's common and easy, whereas something like "nsfw/18+" would be paying more but would be riskier to show and not many people would want to see it. That’s why I would assume that there is going to be a bit more freedom to that.

I am not saying that it will happen like that, apple can ban whatever they want but at the end of the day options would have been a better choice.
2072  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you further your degree from school, or learn a new skill after college? on: November 02, 2022, 07:01:51 PM
I would definitely suggest learning another skill after college, in fact keep on learning something new every few years. How could you do that? They say in order to be masters of a thing you need to spend 10 thousand hours on it, if we spend 5 hours per day (give or take there will be some days missing) on something that means 2000 days which is about over 5 years to be master, and I mean literally be a master at it. That means if you spend about 6-7 years, you will become a master in that field.

If you graduate at 22, and start learning something at 23, you will be a master at it when you are 30, and you can learn another thing and be a master at 37, and another right after makes it 44 and another at 50. So by the time you are 50 years old, you are not just "I know how to do it" but literally "I am an expert at it and very few people are better than me" on 4 things + whatever you learned in college. That will make you rich for sure, not many people are masters at that many things.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 02, 2022, 05:16:34 PM
I personally do not like lottery all that much, because there is absolutely nothing that you could do about it and it’s pure luck and I like to be involved. Between casino games and sportsbook the difference would be which casino game and which sports that you are wagering on.

I like betting on NBA and F1 more than I like anything else, but if we were to compare slots vs tennis, I would prefer slots for example. These are not set stuff, there are a lot of details involved and you are not always looking at it one sided. I am sure that it’s going to be hard for most people to see how it will do, and sometimes it doesn't do as well as you hope, but sports that you love can't be worse than anything else.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burning Coins new Marketing Ploy on: November 01, 2022, 08:21:10 PM
It is definitely a sure thing that burning coins on a new thing is a big problem, because they do not worth anything at all, plus the burned ones are always the ones that wasn't in the market anyway.

I mean look at bnb, they burn a lot of coins, right? Should worth more afterwards, but the reality is that the bnb they burn is not the bnb that was on the trading block, it was never causing any price changes, it was on their wallet and not affecting the price anyway, so the difference between them keeping it in a cold storage or burning it didn't really matter at all. I personally hope that it would make some changes and we would see buybacks as a bigger deal instead of burning.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are five things you will do if you win huge amount of money?? on: October 31, 2022, 08:14:40 PM
How huge? I mean if it’s too huge, I may end up just retiring and sleeping at noon every day? Is that possible, are we talking about that much money? At the end of the day, having too large of a money is something that could give you even more money later on, I would still invest it wisely, put like a good chunk of it on bitcoin, some of it on gold, and some of it on stocks and interest on bank.

I cannot really understand why people are not picking that even more often. Starting a business is something I already want to do, I have some ideas, I want to make them reality, and I want to own a business, a website in the crypto world, but I think I am not ready yet, I just don't have the time to run it.
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 31, 2022, 07:42:40 PM
Ronaldo once again played, it looks like his move actually did make some changes. I mean he left and because of that he is "left out of the roster" but since that move he has been playing 2 out of 2 games and that’s good. Rashford was the one that scored this time around and that’s very important for Rashford to feel like he is good enough to be the striker of United, he wasn't playing like that and had some sort of confidence issues.

This way they earned the hype of both Ronaldo and Rashford together and they are playing very well as we can see. They have won yet another game and that’s a great thing, because they started terribly and doing great now.
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk Becomes Owner Of Twitter, Immediately Fires CEO And CFO on: October 31, 2022, 06:49:09 PM
It is so sad that people started to use "freedom of speech" as a way of saying things that would be hurtful to others and consider it a freedom of speech. Just because you are free to say it, doesn't mean you should, there are nasty things that you could say to people that would not be acceptable in society, but allowed on twitter which is a weird dilemma.

If a famous celebrity came out and said "women are only good in kitchen, they shouldn't be acting, cook food and have sex with, that's all women are good for" then all of Hollywood would banish that actor and nobody would hire them ever again right? That's a wrong sentence that shouldn't be said right? Well on twitter you are "free" to say it, that's the problem, just because you are free to say it, doesn't mean it's an okay sentence to be tweeted.
2078  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: October 31, 2022, 05:36:39 PM
I can add another one, spend time with successful people so that you can learn from them. Do not do exactly what they do, because they have disposable income and that means they can take more risk than you can, but you can learn the mindset of a rich person.

I know many many rich people who do not have a higher spending monthly than I do, they live a very comfortable life while doing it, but they do not really end up spending a lot at all times. Even Elon Musk doesn't spend "that" much money on regular life, that's what we should aim at. If you do not spend more than 5k per month (which is a lot I know) as a billionaire, then we can spend less as regular people, do not aim at "things", aim at success and spend your money for that.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 30, 2022, 08:05:41 PM
PSG really didn't look like they are losing anything while not focusing on Mpabbe to score, he still scored from a penalty, but they changed it up and play as a team since they have a lot of good players and they became better.

Normally they put Mbappe to striker and then pass to him as much as they can, that is how they started at first, after the contract deal he was considered the most valuable player, but that didn't work out that well, and now they are just passing with each other no matter who has the ball, even if it is not Mbappe/Neymar/Messi trio, they pass to whoever they can, and this team ball managed to get them to score a lot more and play a lot better.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TerraForm Labs Founder Do Kwon faces $57M lawsuit on: October 30, 2022, 07:01:03 PM
Wouldn't be the first project owner to do something wrong and be called to stand. I mean dude was responsible for the losses of hundreds of millions of dollars, he would be charged with something of course.

Even if you do not think that he did it himself, and took the money, you would still understand how he was responsible to prevent something like this to happen and in that case we would be having some sort of situation with the law because if you were supposed to protect the investors money and they all lost it because of you, then you would be charged with something. That's what I would be expecting people to do and he has to face this in order to make it better.
