2521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 06, 2022, 06:59:15 PM
I am damn sure that if you are not confident about the token you are staking itself, then it would be a hard situation. Yes, you can calculate it like that today, but are you 100% sure that in 18 months it is going to be like that?

For example, if you invest and stake a token that goes down so much that it turns out it was a scam and becomes zero, or happens to be like Luna, what are you going to do? This is why we should always be picking the coin itself, and not the mathematical calculation of what looks profitable. I have seen memecoisn with 5000% returns, do you really think that it would actually give me 5000% returns? Of course not, that is why pick the project, not the return.
2522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 06, 2022, 07:16:36 AM
Basically, until it is done, Ronaldo will be considered for every single team there is, like there will be some third division Japanese team everyone will talk about how Ronaldo may go to. I get that Barcelona is not a bad team of course, but the history is there, and it's obvious.

So, I am guessing that at this point since it is fully unknown where Ronaldo will go, journalists are just writing he will go everywhere, and eventually when he leaves, one of them will be right. That's easy to do, I can list like 100 teams, and I guarantee you that he will go somewhere in that 100 team, that's not journalism. Hear where he will go for sure, and then report it.
2523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 06, 2022, 06:31:25 AM
I would guess that Charles with the pit stop instead of Sainz would have mean that Charles would have won the race, it's quite obvious to me. Yes, it may look like he wasn't that good by the end of it, but at the same time dude had one of the older tires while everyone else had fresh tires. This is why I believe that we are not going to be able to say who would have won if X happened and what would have happened if Y happened.

If Verstappen didn't slow down due to body damage, and Charles got in instead of Sainz, they would have been 1-2 that is for sure, which one would be one and which one would be two, I do not know but they would be ahead of everyone else for sure.
2524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meta (facebook) launches NFT display options on Facebook. on: July 04, 2022, 09:32:05 PM
NFT is a good amount of attention grabbing thing in most tech stuff. Facebook is not interested in making NFT or meta world something big, they do not care about your investment at all. What they care about is getting attention. This means that we are in a world where facebook is doing this ONLY for making more money.

So, if you think for one second that they turned their name to Meta, or making these NFT stuff, just because they are very interested in it as well, then you are very wrong. They are only doing it because they care about the fact that they could make some good amount of profit from it. This is why I believe that we shouldn't really be getting hyped about it.
2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking misconceptions about Crypto Currencies on: July 04, 2022, 09:00:21 PM
Avax as a token? Who really thinks that Avax is a token? Token means a project that is based on a blockchain of another coin. Coin means it is all independent. So, for example Axie (axs) is a token because it is on ethereums chain, or cake is a token because it is on BSC, these are tokens on other coins chains. Whereas bnb and eth would be coins in that case because it has their own chain. Same goes for Avax, it has its own chain and it is not made on anyone else's chain.

Interesting to learn that there are still some people who do not know the difference between these two. I personally would love to talk about the current situation and would love to make a big change.
2526  Economy / Economics / Re: Ten Ways Billionaires Avoid Taxes on an Epic Scale on: July 04, 2022, 08:19:33 PM
The issue is that billionaires can "avoid" taxes, they did not become a big rich corporation at the end of the day and then they ended up avoiding taxes. Even small corporations could do it, but at this level of course.

These are at a level so big that when they reach to a point, where we should be seeing some "law" changes based on the bribery of these huge corporations then we are going to end up with something a bit of a big trouble for the rest of us. The less taxes equals to less government help, less government help means a lot more poor people doing much more horrible, and only a few surviving super wealthy people ruling the whole nation.
2527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 03, 2022, 09:09:29 PM
I agree that Nations league is not something to base what they have been going through. I mean France and England saw that as a friendly game and tested both newer players (not just young, but new to national team) and also strategies and formations that would be different.

I know that some teams cared about it enough to try and win each game, but that doesn't change the fact that they didn't really have anything special going on with no rewards or anything so nobody really cared 100%. They will not be the same in World Cup, they will play with 100% all they got and they will be doing much better. If everyone didn't believe that, the oddmakers wouldn't give these odds.
2528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a crypto that won't depend on BTC anymore on: July 03, 2022, 03:59:31 PM
If you really want to see something getting independent a bit, look at ETH, that is the closest we could get right now.

Yes, it is not there yet, but it is getting there and it matters. We all seen how ethereum got very close to eth for a while, it was less than double marketcap for a while, which mean that with a 2x increase on ETH without btc moving, ETH would have been top ranked and after that flip happens who knows what the future would have been like. For that reason, I believe that we should be having a bit of trust on ETH for such a possibility. Outside of that, I do not think that any other coin out there could ever be independently moving for a long term.
2529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are a time for building, development and research on: July 02, 2022, 09:08:44 AM
Being greedy with your capital could cause you to lose most of that very quickly, there is no need to do something like that. I personally would prefer if the world would understand the logic of crypto and how you could make a profit from it in the long run but there are plenty of people who do not understand it at all, and that creates a bit of a chaos.

This is the simple reason why the best thing I could think of about crypto right now would be not being greedy but being able to accumulate without having any financial trouble. If you do that and you can hold onto it for a long time, then you should be able to make a big profit without risking too much of your own living.
2530  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: July 02, 2022, 08:28:19 AM
I have to say that the best thing we could do right now would be having a bit of a fun in the crypto world when it is low, so you could be happy when it is higher again. You are right about the scam part though, there are so many people who end up losing their money in scams that they can't really see the reality of how awesome crypto could become.

I have even seen people who lose their money in scams, or in Luna most recently for example and then claim that ALL crypto is a big scam and everyone should stay away from it. Never truly understood why would bitcoin be a scam for example, if you lost money on Luna? Like what is their connection aside from being coins.
2531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 02, 2022, 07:25:30 AM
This is practice, there are rarely any teams showing their real power during these periods, they will of course end up doing something as low as possible, and just test the systems. They end up adjusting everything during these periods so that they would not get penalty for changing it later on. This is known by any F1 really, the results of practice means literally nothing, absolutely nothing at all.

I believe that it is going to be probably another boring max win. I am not complaining, we had 7-8 years of Mercedes domination, so it is cool to at least see some other teams do well for a change, and I am guessing that even with the changes, the bouncing is still there for Mercedes hence why they will not be great.
2532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Could Reach $5 By 2050 !!!??? on: July 02, 2022, 06:49:56 AM
I am sick of this, and people who do not understand why they are hurting the general market as well. I know that they may care about their stupid dog coin that they think so fun and so much profitable because it was hyped by idiots who made some profit.

But, the real point is something much more important that many people can't see. The reality is that every single cent that goes into this idiotic stupid meme coin is money that doesn't go into real coins that tries to fix something in the crypto world.

I do not care which one you would prefer, dot, matic, avax, sol, btc, eth, bnb, or whatever! It doesn't matter, they at least try to do something, what does shiba do? Just memes?

Screw that because it is hurting the economy of crypto and people who invest into these things do not realize how they are ruining the crypto world and even the reputation of it because they bring it down to "those people who invest into dog coins" and cause loss of respect by outsiders.
2533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 01, 2022, 09:45:59 PM
France being "out of shape" makes no sense to me, that is not a good defense and I think it is not real at all. We should be realizing that they would be getting a lot more fit before the world cup as well, they will literally be playing both league games and also nation league games and some may even play champions league and other stuff. All which would be proof enough that they would be super ready by November comes.

Definitely it is not going to be too easy on France to win it all, I am not saying it's guaranteed, but how they are right now and how they are in November will be quite different. This is why it is important to realize they will be fit, and their chemistry will be on point for sure.
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: July 01, 2022, 09:25:46 PM
Galatasaray seem to be getting back to basics a bit. It is looking like we are going to see them do youth players more than anything else. hey got rid of some high paying salary players, feghouli, arda, babel etc etc. Instead they got players like Eren from youth setup, and Kerem is young, and few midfield players are coming up as well.

So, if they decide to turn inside and not spend too much on players, then could do well, they even got a young player on lef back as well, Turkish player too, so it is beneficial for the league rules. This is something they should continue to do for a few more years and they would be out of the woods and be capable of buying star players again when things are back to normal with their finances.
2535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you all think on: July 01, 2022, 08:41:42 PM
Very low volume coins could end up with a bit of a problem. There is no denying that people have been trying to find coins that are cheap, and hope that some rich person would pump it and they would get richer. But that is not something we could end up with each time, in fact that would be wrong most of the time.

I believe that the top names are better, you won't get wealthy overnight with bitcoin investment, but if you do that long enough then you will retire as a wealthy person and that's what matters. I know for a fact that crypto is not easy way of making money, it is still hard, it is possible but you need to be smart about it.
2536  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Reduce the Global Wealth and Income Inequalities in 2022? on: July 01, 2022, 07:01:47 PM
I do not think that bitcoin was created to reduce the wealth gap. I mean the idea is to create a decentralized and fair playing field, which means that yes there is a chance that people who screw up at the top, will go down, and people who did awesome at the bottom will go up.

However, that doesn't mean that it has to happen, it could be rich getting richer thanks to bitcoin as well, and poor staying poor because the returns are not gigantic to turn your few hundred into tens of millions of dollars, not anymore at least. Which is why I believe that it is definitely better method than fiat, but not the purpose and since it is not the end goal, it won't probably be a focus on anyone.
2537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is right time for investment ? on: July 01, 2022, 06:18:29 PM
Looks like it is getting even better. Many people will leave the market (and already left by the looks of the price) and that means when they get back in, or new people do, or the existing ones enter some more, all of these will result with the price going up. The amount of money that could go into crypto, compared to what could go out is not even remotely similar levels.

There are trillions of dollars, over tens of trillions of dollars all around the world that "could" get into crypto, whereas there are like few hundred billion that could get out. This is why the upside is much much bigger than the downside and it will always stay that way forever. Simply, the current times must be too good for cost averaging and as well for newbies to adopt cryptocurrencies. Still, we must always ready to dollar cost average in the case market keeps showing more downfall.
2538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 100k or more in 2022? on: July 01, 2022, 06:50:50 AM
If the question was "in the next one year" that would have entailed 2023 July or so and I would have said yes, I truly believe that we will reach that 100k price in the next one year. However, if you limit it to the year of 2022, then we have only a few months left, in the next 6 months or so, we need to go 5x and that may probably not happen.

I still think that the recovery will start and the price will start to go up, especially during Q4 the price of bitcoin will go up a lot. But, that will not be enough to reach 100k, it would be good to reach 50k for sure, and the another 6 months or so will get another 2x and we will be 100k but that would be inside of 2023 or even 2024 after next halving.
2539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: June 30, 2022, 09:55:19 PM
There are a lot of shitcoins out there that could lose not only %95 but they could lose 99.9% of their value like Luna. It would be unlucky to hit something like that, I would guess that only 1-5% of the market will go to zero, most of them will either go down a lot or go down a little during bear market, but not to zero.

But, there is a possibility of a few of them going down like that. Considering there are tens of thousands of projects just on CMC and at least that much not listed on CMC that means if you see like a thousand tokens go down to zero, that's still under 10% easily. Those could go down, but if you are lucky then you will be holding one that didn't go to zero at all.
2540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 30, 2022, 09:41:28 PM
Silverstone will definitely be a high point of the season. It's a very prestigious track and winning here means a lot for every driver. I think Williams is doing something special, I am not sure what they are doing but they said that they are coming with basically a brand new version of their car, which means that there is a chance they could be a lot faster. They say that it's close to 1 second faster on qualy pace, and that is of course amazing for the regular race as well.

Qualy is a bit different since you usually race with fresh tires for a lap or two, and race would see you on tires that would run down. But I think they could actually have a hope to get points. I am considering to bet "williams to get points" if I can find that anywhere.
