2101  Economy / Economics / Re: Not financial advise. Just an example. on: October 25, 2022, 06:24:53 PM
This might be wrong, but I would definitely look to pay up the one with less debt in it. I know that paying up the debt with highest interest rate would look better, but I just feel like if I can remove the number of debts instead of amount, I would be able to focus easier. So, I would pay up the one with $500 and least interest first, then move up from there.

However, if I have this much debt and only 80 dollars to pay them, that's a problem, we are talking about 30k+ dollars debt and only 80 dollars per month to pay it, banks would not allow you to keep paying them with this little amount of money, they will ask you to pay a lot more per month to cover this for sure.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 24, 2022, 07:44:40 PM
Sad for Arsenal that they couldn't get an easy win, I hope that they do not get winded and start to lose easy games because of fatigue, City is already just 2 points behind them, and one more game like this and they will lose the top spot.

It would be understandable, City built an insane team and I get that, but that doesn't mean that Arsenal should lose the leadership on games like Southampton, they should be beating those teams easily and then if they are going to lose, lose to big name clubs, that would make sense. I personally believe that they are going to do well, this game was a fluke, but they are not going to be champions unfortunately, just not ready yet.
2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 23, 2022, 07:14:11 PM
I have to say I like Barcelona more than Real Madrid but not by that much, I don't really care about it enough to feel happy or sad about the results, I am not Spanish so it doesn't really matter. However, I have to say that Real Madrid built an amazing team and not only they have amazing older players like Kroos and Modric and Benzema, we are talking about amazing young players too.

Valverde is growing up to be a player that is very formidable, plays in most midfield positions, and his shooting is now back to back amazing goals meaning he has that potential to be a great goal threat at any time. That is why I could say that Real will stay better than Barcelona for many years to come.
2104  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: October 23, 2022, 09:58:32 AM
One good news, if we get one good news then we are going to end up with everything alright, and that's not going to bother us as much. We just need to make sure that we are doing well enough and it should be fine. I understand that it's not going to be as simple, I know that it's going to take a while, but we need to make sure that we can hold long enough that ONE good news would make it go up.

If we can hang in there until that time comes, we are going to make a good profit, and when that happens it's going to actually make a big difference. I know that a lot of people get scared when they are investing, it's your money that you worked so hard for, but do not let fear make it even worse.
2105  Other / Archival / Re: Q4 2022. What to expect from bitcoin? on: October 23, 2022, 06:53:03 AM
It is time for thinking about sideways to recovery kind of market conditions. just 2% downfall in Q3 must be a typical sign about change in market sentiment which may grow bigger to compare against what we had in Q2. In my opinion we had already bottomed out for this cycle (and if not, we may still see another 10% of fluctuation before reversal). The current bear market started earlier than usual timing of bitcoin cycles hence we could expect the end of it earlier as well. Also, world economy is still in oscillation after pandemic hence we could expect impacts of that into bitcoin market.

Overall, we can expect something different that what we had in Q2 and Q3 which may last for another 10+ months. Usually the year before halving is known for sideways and all market scenarios are favoring that.
2106  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 22, 2022, 01:20:23 PM
The problem is that metaverse is still game like, and that's not the end goal of it. The idea should be more like VR goggles worn by people going into a world made for meta, and should be as real looking as possible. This is why "ready player one" was talked about so much, and given example, because that is the end goal for it.

If you do not have that then I do not think that you could really expect people to care about it. Look at decentraland, how does it look to you? I could build something like that in 2 months, and for less than 10k dollars. If it's so simple then why should there be many players there? That's the main reason why meta hasn't gone mainstream just yet.
2107  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe’s Plan to Beat Silicon Valley at Its Own Game on: October 21, 2022, 09:14:31 PM
There is definitely a market that is not looked at, I mean just because the pool is bigger and the previous success stories came from them, doesn't mean that you have to look at one race and gender of people. It means that if you look at people who are female and/or from another ethnic background, that could give you a pool of startups you could invest that others are not looking at.

This doesn't guarantee profit obviously, if a project is bad then it's bad without caring about who is in charge, this just allows you to invest into things that nobody else would be looking at. That type of benefit in angel investment certainly does help you get one step ahead.
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 21, 2022, 07:46:24 PM
After what has happened, do you think Ronaldo would be leaving? I mean he was asked to train with u-21 after what has happened in the Spurs game, I am not sure if he still has a future in United. If he was 30 years old I would say they have time to recover from this, but this dude is going into his 38 soon, and he can't just stay and wait for them to forgive him or something, or make up with the manager. He doesn't have too much time at the top, he needs to play somewhere asap before he retires or he won't be playing at all.

I assume that transfer window is closed but if he was fired and he agrees on a mutual termination, he could totally find himself a team for cheap contract and keep on scoring many goals. Maybe do not look at the big name clubs, and start looking at smaller name clubs who would be delighted to give him all the playing time he wants?
2109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Total newbie question about day trading crypto on: October 21, 2022, 06:49:42 PM
Demo trading would be ideal for newbies, but day trading with the real market numbers, so not a fake market, fake money but real market. Newbies would then learn how to make trades and what to buy and what to sell, and how they could use some strategies by doing them on the demo money and see if it works or if it fits their personal life and what not.

This would allow them to get even better returns in the long run, not an easy thing to do but not an impossible one neither. If they went into real thing right away, it wouldn't be really that great and I would assume that it would cause them a lot of trouble as well, would lose too much money, hence demo is better.
2110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn Token by liking, following sharing and growing your social media account on: October 21, 2022, 05:41:32 PM
It's not a bad idea, but cmc is filled with projects that had good ideas and even good intentions but never grew big enough. These days because of the fact that bounties and other crypto rewards all care about social media accounts, there are tons of people who aim at having accounts filled with thousands of followers, organic or bot doesn't even matter to them.

It means this project will be a place where plenty of people with fake accounts to end up taking advantage of the situation. This abuse will not help anyone, and people will stop using them for this need, sure it could help you with numbers, but not engagement and I can testify for that.
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to stake stablecoins with insurance? on: October 21, 2022, 04:22:52 PM
Binance. It is by far the best exchange, and maybe the staking returns are not as high as some other places, but it is guaranteed.

Anyone who tells you another place will give you a name of a place that is not as trustworthy as binance, and that means we are not going to see anything change in that situation and putting money where it is riskier, even if it's little bit more, there is no need. Put it on binance and don't look back, if you can compound that is better because if you do that, over course of long years, you are going to earn more than inflation and that means you are going to get richer and richer, do that long enough and you will be rich.
2112  Economy / Economics / Re: 76% of Adults are Making Lifestyle Changes to Prepare for a Potential Recession on: October 20, 2022, 09:24:31 PM
I have made a good amount of change in my lifestyle because of inflation already, don't know if I can handle recession following this as well. It is a bad period to be in, and I feel like it’s not going to really end well for me neither. It’s going to be obviously a hard period for all humanity, but it’s not just economically bad neither, it’s going to be psychologically bad too.

I am going to end up with both living a smaller lifestyle because of this period, but it’s going to be psychologically hard to just live poorer and poorer to make sure that I am not in big debt. How smaller can we get? I earn a decent amount and yet still not live a comfortable life.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2022, 08:48:02 PM
There were a lot of games and I understand that people are excited about making predictions on how teams will be but let’s remember that these were first games, just one game doesn't make it enough to get calculations on how teams will be.

Some teams looked bad and we knew that they would be tanking like Rockets, Spurs, Orlando and such, but at the top levels, all he teams in the playoff race, you can't make any predictions from just a single game, so let them be however they want to be and do not really assume anything yet. Let’s see how teams are for a whole month, and yes that may feel a lot but after like 10 games or so you could see how they are, and then understand the teams.
2114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 20, 2022, 06:36:21 PM
I have been waiting for LTC to go back into top 10 for a while now, and I believe it does belong there as well. If you do not consider the stablecoins, right now 1 is btc, 2 is eth, 3 is bnb, and I honestly believe ltc should be 4 behind them, with stablecoins spread between them of course. Why it hasn't been there? Why it has been out of top 20 even, I do not know because it is really a good one.

First of all, it has been around for longer than a decade, not many projects can survive that long, that alone should give you a good reason to buy, secondly it gets a lot of improvements and constantly gets new features, which should be another reason. It’s really a good one for sure.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV the end. on: October 20, 2022, 06:06:51 PM
It was always obvious that there wouldn't be any long life for BSV anyway, and it doesn't matter if they can recover from this or not, it never really mattered. Anyone who cared enough about this project was warned against it, and it was something that dropped significantly in the ranks even before any of this, and if they still invested then they knew the risks. Who would spend time on investing into something Craig Wright did?

It’s obvious that dude is a liar and if you believed him then it’s your own fault. With this, it’s now proven that we are talking about something that is doing a bit worse, and not a shock to anyone like me who knew it was a bad project even at the start.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 20, 2022, 05:33:41 PM
People reacted way too early for Marseille being the same points as PSG at the start of the season, now the difference is already 6 points, and Lorient is closer to PSG than Marseille, that should be a good enough indicator that PSG is a team that is beyond all these talks, other teams could have good periods here and there, but they will end up losing eventually and they won't have the sustainable power to continue until the end of the season whereas PSG has that power to be this good without any change up until the end of the season and that matters a lot.

PSG will win the league title once again and will be 10+ points difference easily, I always said this, and I will keep saying it until the end.
2117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 20, 2022, 03:59:02 PM
I think "exchanges" is a word that we can lump all in and get away with it. However, the exchange with 10 thousand dollars volume, and Binance are both "exchanges" if you take the word for it. I have to say Binance could be trusted, or at least I shouldn't really change anyone’s idea, and say that I personally trust it, you could or maybe not, that’s on you.

The idea that Biannce could be hacked, or could do something with your money is beyond bonkers. This is the biggest exchange that makes billions in profit and you think they would be really risking it all? They will protect your funds better than you could ever protect them, so that they could continue to rake in profits.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 10:00:22 PM
It is totally understandable for Lakers to lose to Warriors, Lakers missed playoffs last year, whereas Warriors won the ring, so that was an expected result. However, Lakers really need to put a team around Lebron.

Lebron is 37 years old, going into 38 years old this season, and he scored 31 points, had 14 rebounds and had 8 assists, I agree that AD played decently, 27 points, which was on 10/22 not great but let’s say that’s good enough, other players surrounding them were Lonnie Walker, Beverley and Westbrook, Westbrook had 19 points on 7/12 that’s not too bad neither, but Walker+Beverly had 8 points total, and bench had 24 points all combined, that’s unacceptable.
2119  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal Flood Prevention/Sensitization Project. Any Ideas? on: October 19, 2022, 08:58:45 PM
As a person who lives in a place that cannot be flooded (would be very shocking if waters could come all the way where I live) and even during high rain periods it’s a bit of a hill, which means it goes downhill to another town, that means I never really had to worry about it, plus rocky mountain places rarely get earthquakes as well, and when we do, we are protected by it because it's solid structure thanks to hard base.

All these combined, I never really had to worry about any of this, and I am doing better thanks to it as well. All these people who have to worry about it, makes me realize how lucky I am to live where I live right now.
2120  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 19, 2022, 06:48:43 PM
I disagree on teaching little kids what crypto is, that’s just way too much, we could definitely put it on economics related college classes to teach a lot more about it, there is a good understanding of it, and even computer science majors as well because there is a development related part of it as well and both of them are understandable. But that doesn't change the fact that we can't really end up with anything that would be ok for kids under 17 or younger end up learning from, and I doubt it would really work that well.

This is why it’s a lot better if we just decided not to focus on anything that would be older teenagers, even "teen adults" basically for people who are 20 years old and what not.
