1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance's Alleged Crypto Audit Failed, Its Auditor Refused to Vouch For It on: December 12, 2022, 08:56:40 PM
I have to say it is not really that much of a big deal compared to what we have seen with FTX, at the very least we are talking about Binance showing their papers to a place, there could be some disagreements on how the calculation should be made, but at the very least it is shown and that's what matters.

If there was a big deal like it is empty, then they would say that and it would be obvious, but since it is not empty then we know that it may or may not be 1:1 ratio, but at least it is filled a bit. This is a good thing, we should be able to use this to feel better if we want to, if you don't feel that way, just take your money out, binance is open for withdrawals.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 12, 2022, 05:51:26 PM
People are overreacting to Neuer injury and I believe that we are talking about something serious for him, and that is true but Bayern is not the type of club that can't replace a goalkeeper, we are forgetting that this is THE club in Germany and they will do amazing with or without him.

I personally believe that he is a good goalkeeper that is for sure, but Bayern could lose anyone, upemacano, goeretzka, mane, sane, doesn't really matter who they lose, if it is just one player then they wouldn't be doing badly at all, they will do great and wouldn't really be hurting. He is getting older anyway, I feel like they should start looking for someone younger already.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does the bitcoin community currently trust Tether? on: December 10, 2022, 01:10:52 PM
There will be more people who will respond of course, but the idea is that there are not that many people trust on tether, and not because it is a bad project, it is a good project and currently doing well and so far has done well. So, why would people not have a trust on something that has been around for years and proven only success and trust?

Well, because in crypto world you could see something going great, and then it would end up being terrible in the long run and would not be doing great and suddenly crash. The latest examples would be FTX and Luna, they were amazing up until they crashed, which shows you never to trust something just because it is going great.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 10, 2022, 12:51:03 PM
I got my first start this way. I was still working at a job and then I started trading at the job, thankfully crypto exchanges at that time wasn't banned, and people were putting money at everything and we were small amount of people back then in the crypto world so when you saw a new thing get listed, you would end up with it going 100x easily, and I would see them here first on bitcointalk, and then I would buy them p2p and then I would wait until they are listed, most didn't get listed but the ones that did would make me thousands.

Unfortunately, I didn't used that money to buy bitcoin and hold, I spent them, but assumed I would continue to make that kind of profit and eventually quit my job, not making same amount of profit, but I do survive at least.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 10, 2022, 11:38:34 AM
Vasseur is definitely better than Binotto that's for sure, he should be providing some improvement but will it be a long term I am not sure. I think it is not going to be enough, he is a great engineer who has his starts at building his own team so he knows how to manage by literally owning his own team, having full control, he is the CEO of Alfa Romeo racing, that is not an easy task. So at the end of the day, this will be an improvement there is no doubt about that and the strategy and pit wall problems should get lower and lower.

However, building a car was Binottos deal, he always provided a great car, everything else was worse for him, but Vasseur may not build a car that good. I just wish they just kept Binotto and let him build the car, and then get Vasseur to handle the in season stuff afterwards, best of both worlds.
1926  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 10, 2022, 11:30:52 AM
I am a bitcoin and business oriented person and that's what I would do. First of all, I would put it all on bitcoin and think of what to do with it. To be fair, buying a house and renting it out seems like a good idea, but you could find another income idea with it.

You could start a 3d print shop, you could do a crypto exchange, whatever you want to do really, people look for a business idea that will make profit, what they do not realize is that you need to go into a business that you are interested in. If you are interested in things, then you will make a profit with it. If you have absolutely no interest in it or any experience before, just because you have the capital doesn't mean you should start that business, you will lose money.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: December 10, 2022, 10:56:21 AM
I guess maybe 3000? Because you know, 300 is not that weird, it's literally 10 bucks away, it could happen 10 minutes from now, that’s not really a question. Even one big whale could do that and that wouldn't be a shock, even in OPs message it says 289 and that’s not really that far off.

I do not think that it could be 3000 by the way, that is way too much, in order for it to go 10x higher, then the whole market should be in a huge bull run and I am afraid I do not believe that it will happen. Of course, this is just a guess and maybe I am wrong and it can do 10x and reach 3000, but that means bitcoin should be somewhere above 150k, ethereum over 10k and in that case bnb could be 3k as well.
1928  Economy / Economics / Re: Manufacturing orders to China down 40% in unrelenting demand collapse on: December 10, 2022, 10:38:02 AM
I am sure it has something to do with the fact that the world just went through some of the worst economical crisis it had, and we are not out of the woods yet, we are at recovery stage. By 2025 nothing from this period will be still felt, and everything will go back to normal, but for now we are still feeling it and in 2023 we will still feel it, it needs couple years to recover.

Remember 2008 crisis, were we great in 2009 or 2010 right away? It took us 3-4 years at least to get back to normal levels, and to be fair I can say maybe like 2015 or so was a great year, before that it was just recovery small by small. So, I do not think that this will suddenly be better in a year.
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about using NFT staking for token rewards? on: December 09, 2022, 09:45:34 PM
Well, when there is a game involved, there shouldn't be any staking at all. There should be a pool of tokens where people would play the game and earn and when that is over it is over that’s it, there shouldn't be anything more. Then how could it move further?

Simply just improve the game, if you improve the game then there wouldn't be a need for more tokens because people could play and earn from each other and build an entire economy in there, as long as you play you would earn it, even newbies would do manual labour of sorts in a boring but long hour way and earn it. Otherwise, staking is just giving away free money to people and unacceptable in a game.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google year in Search 2022: What is NFT? on: December 09, 2022, 06:51:10 PM
I would say it is not as big as it used to be. Just because people googled what it is, doesn't mean they got in, look at how the NFT's are doing and you will see that not only the top ones dropped (but the market dropped so that’s normal) but the lower ones are totally gone, not just dropped or crashed in price but literally gone.

I remember prices of axies going to 300+ dollar levels, now you could get like for a few bucks, just doesn't make sense for example, you would make zero profit from them too, that’s the trouble. All in all, it is just not looking good, which means no matter how much people google it, the prices are crashing very very hard, more than what bitcoin dropped, some gone 99%+ and some did 90%+ it’s really terrible.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 09, 2022, 05:58:22 PM
Alperen Sengun, the guy we talked about a bit time ago here had another game and it wasn't enough, I really thought that Rockets would beat the Spurs and Alperen had one of the best dunks of the season, he had a coast to coast run and then dunked on Collins and it was epic, they called an offensive foul on that, and we all know it was not, just look at every players reaction and every pundits reaction and you will see that it wasn't and there are a million examples when this wasn't called, so it was a bit about how they like to call everything a foul when it comes to Sengun.

He must be hated by the refs, it is really frustrating to see as a Rockets fan, they just hate the guy, he could have been a much bigger star if refs just give him leeway as much as they give to other players like Morant.
1932  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Nigeria to limit cash withdrawals on: December 09, 2022, 05:22:31 PM
I feel like 200 or so dollars per week doesn't seem like too little, I do not have 200 dollars per week to cash out for example, and to be fair I never did, not because I never had that much, but because most of my stuff is digital anyway and sent from my bank or paid with credit card, so no cash required.

Does that mean this is okay? Of course not, because you are limiting peoples freedom to take their money, if that money is mine, I should be able to withdraw it whenever I want to, and if government doesn't allow me to, that is a good reason why bitcoin is far superior than most fiats in the world, it doesn't limit you and governments can't do anything to control it.
1933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 08, 2022, 08:54:31 PM
Benzema is healed? If that is the case then I feel like there is a good chance Real would play a lot better after the world cup, I thought his injury was until late January, early February thing, that is what I read when I first saw it, but if he is healed (I just checked, he looks to be cleared) that means he is going to be very important to Real and their goals.

Of course, he would need to gain some momentum, this year he hasn't done anything yet, so it would require a bit of working hard to be valuable again, otherwise he is a great player with an injury so plays badly type guy. Look at Neymar, great player, constantly injured. Real doesn't need something like that.
1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 08, 2022, 03:11:02 PM
France is likely in my mind, but Brazil confuses me a bit as well.  Due to Netherlands not looking great, and Argentina looking better, I feel like Argentina will come out of there, but they are the team that lost to Saudi Arabia in my mind, so Brazil should beat Croatia and then beat Argentina.

On the other side, Portugal should easily defeat Morocco, seems like child’s play but you never know, and England is great but France looks even better, Mbappe factor is big and he could get the game himself if he plays wonderfully, then beat Portugal. So, finals of Brazil and France is on everyone’s mind. I am guessing anyone could win at this point but this is likely situation.
1935  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Needs More Housing Than Almost Anyone Can Imagine on: December 08, 2022, 04:08:23 AM
I have to say it is not even all about "building" a house but more about how real estate became an investment for way too many people. The reality is that you could pay 20% of a house, and get the 80% with a loan and that loan will be a paid back by the renters on your home.

There are many examples where you buy a house, pay 800 per month and you rent it out for 1000 dollars per month so you make even a small profit, which means if you put it aside, that is another payment every 4 months, if one person stays for about 5 years, they pay 6-7 years of loans basically, and that's great for home owners. This resulted with people having multiple houses, and it is not about scarcity in general, it is scarcity in the market, all the house on sale gets sold very quickly for this profitable reason.
1936  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: Lagarde says Euro CBDC seeks to 'ensure high standars of privacy'. on: December 07, 2022, 08:08:03 PM
I feel like they will "say" that but they will do the opposite. There are not that many people in the world who has done something for the good of the people, for the people, and still not liked by the people at the same time.

There was a local ruler here, like head of a town, just 800 people lived, and that guy made anything above 2 stories illegal for buildings, no tall buildings, all same and when earthquake hit, everywhere around got devastated and destroyed and thousands died, and this town didn't even had a crack, didn't had even a single injured person let alone dead. He was ousted next term because people wanted tall buildings to make profit. So if you REALLY want privacy, elect people who would.
1937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here is my analysis about btc on: December 07, 2022, 06:48:40 PM
Having a certain understanding of the possible near future is not possible. We could try as much as possible and that would be lovely but that doesn't mean that we will understand how it all works, it is not going to be that simple and it will be quite difficult to handle in the long run as well if you keep focusing on short term.

Sure go ahead and trade, and try to make profit, but that doesn't mean that it is certain, you can analyse it as much as you want and it could still shock you. This is why I love long term investment, I know it will be higher than the current price if we look at 5 10 years down the road, will it crash along the way? Of course it will, and I won't mind it.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 07, 2022, 04:26:02 PM
Considering Neymar is already back, and even though their teams (both Argentina, Brazil and France) are still in the tournament and anything could still happen, do you guys think that PSG will continue to dominate with their stars? Or is there a chance that anything could happen with their stars?

I feel like Messi looked a bit rough, still plays great but looked like he wasn't running straight, maybe he is hurting somewhere but don't want to stop at world cup and take a small break to heal after it ends? In any case, returning players will have some sort of results in the league, and betting against PSG right at the restart could be profitable, or I am just wrong.
1939  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High taxes and ‘no future’ spark fears of mass exodus of young Britons on: December 07, 2022, 02:45:21 PM
The higher you earn the higher you pay is a decent living. I mean people who make about 52k means that you are making over 4k, and people who make over 100k means you are making nearly 10k per month, that is very rich in the UK, you could live comfortably with that.

And I always believed that people should be taxed high if they are over 1 million as well, and I mean make sure that they can't take their money out of the nation, it has to be something harsh for hiding money in Cayman islands or something, punish those people a lot, earn billions from British but then not spend a dime on tax back to British? Damn me if that's allowed, fix that and you will not tax people who earn under 50k at all, zero tax rate.
1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: December 06, 2022, 08:41:21 PM
No doubt about it, I am 100% sure that it will hit 300 bucks, that's nothing to BNB at all, it is a common price. I think it will more like be 500 dollars by somewhere close to end of 2023, we are going to see it actually go super high. That doesn't mean that it will happen in January though, maybe in October who knows? So, just because it hasn't reached where you want it to reach, do not let it go, you should still invest into it for sure.

I personally believe that it will go a lot higher, but that would require a lot of waiting and in order for you to make a profit, you need to buy it and also wait, you can't just do one and not the other and expect to make a profit.
