341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 27, 2023, 03:08:12 PM
Indeed but the standards in European are not the same as in other Asian countries, for example as far as I know in most of the countries in Europa you won't have a problem if you drink alcohol in public but that's not allowed in Qatar.
I was hoping to see Qatar change some rules or at least make some expectations for the people who visit this country during the world cup.

Europe and Qatar both have their own advantages and disadvantages. One good thing with Qatar is that it is very easy to get a tourist visa. But apart from that, there were a lot of negatives. Hotel prices were extremely high and they changed the rules at the last minute restricting alcohol only to those holding the highest tier tickets. Also, there were a lot of restrictions in place for LGBT and unmarried couples. In Europe the only issue as far as I can see is regarding the visa. Higher crime rate is also a concern.

Very understandable because FIFA is a huge event and the nearest establishments like hotels and apartments will surely take advantage of the event as they know that it's not every year they will have an event like that. Also, LGBT and unmarried couples were discouraged because it is a Muslim country, we cannot expect to change their beliefs and traditions just for that event. People who flock towards the country should know and obey the rules, failing to know the rules doesn't make them innocent.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 27, 2023, 02:10:58 PM
If Nonito wins the championship his next target is to be the undisputed Bantamweight Champion, based on the interview with Tai Lopez Donaire will go on until he becomes the next champion because this is the only thing missing in his career, to become the undisputed champion, so if he wins here he will push for a unification of the title I hope he can still do it at his age, we'll see if father time is still not diminished his power.

https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=648002447275450

It's technically not that impossible to do if he really wanted to cement his legacy and be the next undisputed champion in the bantamweight division. But before all of that, he should know and consider some things first like as he age, some factors might change because his body will start to decline specially at his age now where he is not that young anymore. I'd say that he should focus on his upcoming fight first because the outcome will be an indication what to do next.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 26, 2023, 06:35:30 PM
Moving forward, Tatum is also expected to have the same huge max contract in his final year with the team and not exercise his rights on his Player Option.
Well, that should be given. They cannot just let Tatum be left with a contract that is lower than the number 2. Cheesy
He also did so much for the team I think he will be the future of it if they want a higher possibility of a championship. Locker room issues will become the Celtics' management problem if they won't do the same favor for him.

Brown's agent made a great job in securing the deal. I wonder how the negotiations went on as Brown is not a top-10 player. Yet it somehow managed to just slightly edge Steph Curry as the highest paid in the NBA this coming season.

I was surprised as well as why Jaylen Brown was eligible to sign that much contract if he didn't belong in the Top 10. I know that he's a good Celtic's player and undoubtedly blend well with Tatum but I just can't help but think that how he did he do that. And so I think that maybe the Celtics was just too afraid to see the time where he will ask for a trade since he already gave some signs last season.

Quote
With that new deal, pretty sure Jason Tatum get his own version and it will be bigger than Brown unless he is willing to sacrifice millions of dollars in order for the team to save money. And there are also the other superstars that will demand higher pay once they are qualified for new deals.

No doubt about that because if Brown managed to sign a deal like that, I won't be surprised if Tatum's camp will also ask the same thing or even much more than that as he is the alpha of the team.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 26, 2023, 05:03:55 PM
One of them is gonna chicken out?
This fight is a done deal. Each of them is going to get a ton of cash no one is going to turn down the money that the Arabs are setting up for them. Only a handful of people expect Ngannou will win and I think he may not really win the fight but Ngannou wins against Dana. This was his real fight in the first place where he was belittled so he took a gamble on his career to which Francis got off UFC contract and got a better contract with PFL.

The main motive for this fight is money. And I think that none of these fighters are afraid of money, so the fight will take place  Grin
As for Ngannou's chances, it's probably a lucky punch in the first or second round - he has no chance to outbox Fury + in each next round he will lose strength faster than Fury. So if he wants to at least try to win, he should immediately go into close range and trade blows (sounds funny for heavyweights hehe). Fury, on the contrary, must hold back the starting onslaught of Ngannou (and preferably without knocking him out so that the sheiks are satisfied with the long fight) and then simply realize his advantage.

Obviously, both Fury vs Ngannou, if Francis will get his biggest pay check as a fighter, then Fury might double or triple what Francis will get in this fight. So still a win-win situation for both of them. Fury will have his tune up and barring all circumstances, after this a Usyk and most likely the biggest money in the heavyweight division. Yeah, possible that Fury might play along that line, not to knock out Francis early so that fans will enjoy the fight as long as they can. In short, they need to be entertain as well. And maybe after this Francis will fight the other heavyweights, just to see how his power will match to let's say Wilder or even Anthony Joshua.

We don't even know for sure if these two are just playing with each other and fooling us because they know that if they will make a fight like this, certainly it will be a sold out fight as both participants are interesting enough to see and fight in one same stage. I mean, just look how the hype surrounds him now, both fighters are already enjoying it plus there's this issue where Ngannou was belittled that he cannot make any difference, it's like make the fire grow bigger to entice more people to watch their fight.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 26, 2023, 03:46:16 PM

Arum already might set this up next year as if I'm not mistaken Ramirez is with Top Rank. He will be the next Manny or at least get to 5-6 belt weight class. 130 lbs might be too much for him though, as the like of let's say Oscar Valdez and Navarette might be too big for Inoue. But let's see, he is in his prime so he might think that he is really invincible and climb that ladder very quick like Pacquiao.

I believe there will be more belts that Inoue will accumulate, but it should be a gradual process until he reaches his peak. As a champion like Inoue, he loves to push his limits, so we can expect that there will be more fights coming for him. With what he is showing, I believe there's a possibility that Inoue could break what Pacman has achieved – becoming an 8th division world champion.

I agree with you; there's no boxer yet who has given Inoue a problem. Even Fulton, the defending champion that night, wasn't able to give Inoue a scare. Well, what can you say? He isn't a power puncher, so he relies on his speed. Unfortunately for him, Inoue is way quicker and faster, so he can't really win.

Well, what can I say? After throwing a lot of nonsense accusations, Fulton might've seen his fate already and that his defeat against Naoya Inoue was something that is inevitable. At least he tried his best in defending his belts and managed to throw a good punches on the process but unfortunately, 8 rounds seems too long for him as that's what it takes for Inoue to finish the whole fight.
346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Impact of Bitcointalk forum in our lives on: July 25, 2023, 09:50:33 PM
This forum has greatly influenced my way of living at the present as it opens for me a lot of realization that there should be plans and goals for everything to happen more successfully. And while this forum has given me quite a significant amount of income through engaging in signature campaigns, it’s also undeniable that I have learned to understand and value bitcoin more, and I come to believe that there is great future with bitcoin compared to fiat.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: July 25, 2023, 09:26:47 PM
You have a great idea I guess and if it works for you, then probably it will also work for others. However, did you ever think that kids will never get bored watching the same cartoons everyday even if they gained benefits from it? Because based on my experience with my kids, they get easily bored and want to explore new things every now and then, and so I always give them the chance to do what they want as long as it’s helpful for their growth. And with your idea, it may be helpful for others but I guess it will only be good at the start but eventually, kids will ask another cartoon movie that will gain their new interest.
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: July 25, 2023, 08:54:06 PM
These tips are only helpful if you can use them the right way, but you need to study first and educate yourself on these tips before going into live trading. However, experience is still the best tip to win your trades. It’s only useless learning all these OP’s tips without putting them in action. That’s why regardless of your first and consistent losses as a beginner, you need to experience trading most often as that’s the only way to be more skillful in this kind of craft.
349  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 25, 2023, 08:12:09 PM
A friend contacted me yesterday for some loans, which I declined (with some excuses) because I knew he really had no means of fast repayment. After some time, he called again and requested that I buy his refrigerator or his washing machine instead. Although I don't have a washing machine, but I had no interest in buying anything at that moment, so I contacted another of my friend who bought the refrigerator and the washing machine from that guy.

It's not a surprise that sometimes we find ourselves in emergencies that really require some funds to solve the problem at hand. We all know that life treats everyone differently depending on the country, city, or village in which they find themselves. You can't blame anyone or say it's a result of bad budgeting plans or inability to save for emergencies.

I just decided to put this up here to see what you guys think about it. If you are in a situation that requires some funds immediately, would you go for a loan or would you sell one of your properties to solve the problem? And which of them is a better option, to sell property or to take a loan?
This is exactly the reason why we have to consider building our emergency funds because in times of unforeseen cases, at least we have some prepared funds to use rather than selling our property or taking a loan which I think are not the best options. However, if you have no emergency funds since all your salary goes into your family’s basic needs, then maybe taking a small amount of loan is acceptable. But if you can have another job to get additional income, then that would be a very great idea.
350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Use this Tip to Avoid Getting Banned on the Forum on: July 24, 2023, 09:52:03 PM
~snip~
The tip I use to ensure that I avoid plagiarism is to always run my topics or comments through a plagiarism checker website.

If you create your own content, I don't see any point in checking it through such tools, because it turns out that you don't trust yourself and that way you're just wasting time. If you don't copy text from other sources and don't use AI chat, then you don't have to be afraid of being banned - the only thing that can happen to you is that your post will be deleted because someone reported it as spam, low value or repetitive content.

Therefore, I would advise you to review previous posts before writing a post and to definitely avoid megathreads in which there really isn't anything new to write.
Exactly. Focus on your own content and learn to improve it as much as you can. That will show how much have you learned in the forum. And don’t be lazy on doing everyday researches because that will certainly improve your learning so you can have something valuable to say about the thread/topic. Plagiarism is an act of laziness, you want to have a perfect explanation yet you don’t know how to provide it on your own.
351  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 24, 2023, 09:27:42 PM
Passion is just a single factor that is needed for success. But lucky are those who have developed passion from the start because that will also increase their chance to succeed. However, aside from passion, there should also be dedication, patience and discipline, and most importantly you need to gain knowledge and develop your skills on it. If you can achieve all of this, then success will easily come for you.

353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: July 23, 2023, 09:41:06 PM
when bitcoin started it was not given the value it deserves and people were actually surprised, bitcoin has gained very good attention and has become hot cake to purchase, true that not everyone will be interested but does that actually understand it and know its benefits won't joke with it, and the aspect of forcing people to invest in bitcoin is far gone since bitcoin has the issue of instability, once the price does not favor them then they start blaming you, the best thing should be that they invest at free will, and once they are interested you tell them the dangers involved in bitcoin.
So now who isn't interested in bitcoin when you see the price and its spikes every year. Bitcoin always reaches its highest price and gives a lot of profit. Forcing someone to invest in bitcoin is not justified because it will blame you when they lose. But now bitcoin investment is a mandatory investment when hearing about crypto, even though crypto has many types of coins. People who don't like bitcoin because they don't understand what bitcoin is and its benefits, if they know then they will immediately join and start pioneering bitcoin from scratch.
If they only know that bitcoin is the future, then no one’s gonna give a doubt on bitcoin investment. But no one will believe that unless they gained deep understanding on the concept about bitcoin, otherwise they will always be hesitant and doubtful investing in a highly volatile market. However, I still believe investing in bitcoin should never be forced or done with convincing, because of the reality that bitcoin no matter how profitable it is, we still can’t predict rightly as to when we’ll gonna be in profits.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 21, 2023, 03:24:33 PM
Ngannou is a force of nature and very gifted athlete but when it comes to pure boxing ...Tyson will smash him and I don't think we will pas over round 7 in my opinion.

This event is also an entertaining one and I do hope Ngannou will come prepare and give it all he has instead of just grab the money and lose the fight...but we are still very early to talk about what happen besides that Tyson will win  Grin

Up to this date, there is no MMA fighter who have successfully made a name and upsets a known boxer in a boxing fight, many have tried but it's just too good to be true because boxing is a very different sports compared to UFC or other martial arts that they have fought with. They might have a generous amount of power locked in their fists but that will not amount to nothing if they cannot land it perfectly and their stamina will deplete as the fight drags on which will give again an advantage to the boxer.

I hope Ngannou will be the first to do that, there's the first time in everything it's going to be a huge upset probably biggest than the Tyson - Douglas or the Joshua - Ruiz match checking the poll I'm surprised that many of us here believes Ngannou can win this match, we all want surprises I see Tyson as the favorite but I can accept if Ngannou can win the match, Fury has so many tricks in his sleeves I hope he has good corners, trainers and conditioning coaches this is the biggest fight in his career and this is something that will catapulted him to stardom and maybe greatness, its still a long way but I'm exciting how these two guys are training especially Ngannou.

Tyson   - 16 (55.2%)
Ngannou   - 13 (44.8%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 29

I seriously think as well that Francis Ngannou does have a decent chance in upsetting the undefeated Tyson Fury and with the statements that are posted on any social media platform and sports outlet, Francis Ngannou himself liked it even more and is dedicated to have a better preparations because for the second time in his career, people are underestimating him just like when people belittled him when he first appeared in an MMA fight.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 21, 2023, 02:48:49 PM
-snip-
I don't think there is a need to be strict in supervising children because it will make them rebel and it is better to give them an understanding of the dangers of gambling. It would be better for them than parents having strict rules in supervising their children. I think today's children understand more about the dangers of gambling because they can get news about gambling addiction from the internet and see its impact on people who have experienced gambling addiction. It will keep them away from gambling and they will not try to approach it because of the danger.

Sometimes you need to be strict with your children to discipline them, because there are some children who cannot be advised and they think that what they are doing is not wrong. This is where the role of strict parents is very important to be able to give a deterrent effect to these children so that they can listen more and not get involved in gambling because it is not yet the time for them. Moreover, the money they are betting on is their own parents' money, of course, parents have the right to be strict with their children.

But we should not forget our boundaries as a parent because the choice will still be on their hands and our role is just to guide them and advise between the fine line of what is wrong and right, and seriously not to control them. There is nothing wrong if they seek an interest in gambling or if they are curious about it, let them learn a few because eventually, they will learn something from it, be it good or bad.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 21, 2023, 01:45:17 PM
I see him in the same path of Irving, and both cant stop falling.

Kyrie Irving is my favorite player in the NBA, and it saddens me that he's in this situation. Lebron and Kyrie were a very good duo, they played very well together.
Kyrie definitely needs to wake up, if they can get back together with Lebron they can do great things again.

His career was set to skyrocket after he teamed up with Lebron because at that time, the spotlight was on him too and he didn't fail to show skills that was pretty impressive and we could say that without him, there may be what ifs about Cleveland's victory in having the championship trophy.

But all of that started to turn downhill when he asked for a trade from the Cavaliers because in his words, he said "I don't want to be a Robin to the Batman (LeBron)" and that became a nightmare because after that, he had no success and even became a diva despite all of the challenges he faced.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: July 20, 2023, 09:00:46 PM
I also have a friend with whom we can discuss some events, this applies not only to gambling, we share opinions and forecasts, but each of us understands well that the final decision remains with each of us, because in the end each of us will risk their money. I will say that it is good when you can discuss something with a person you completely trust, this can lead to the right decisions.
As strange as it may appear, gambling doesn't correspond to our intentions; the system was designed to keep us failing and recording liquidated accounts from losses. Gambling is not an easy undertaking; we suffer failure and loses when our forecast games go against our predictions, but some period, we gain massively from the system. It is apparent that we must stand up and eliminate the mindset or thought of blaming others for our gambling losses. Nobody knows what will happen in these games, so we just have a chance of gaining or losing, which I accept.

In such sports games, even if you have a vast knowledge in that certain game or knows the players/teams will, you will still end up with the same chances where you have more chances of defeat compared to your winnings. In gambling world, all of these are normal and some said that if you cannot take it or accept it then gambling is not for you because nothing here is guaranteed even if you use your techniques or analyzes things carefully. It will be all the same in the end.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: July 20, 2023, 08:20:02 PM
Which one do you actually find to be more easier and I believe that futures trading is also capable of giving someone life-changing money but which one do you believe is less risky than the other?
Because it is more difficult to analyse the market than a game, I find gambling to be simpler. However, futures trading might be more profitable than gambling if you have a solid understanding of it.
I think it only depends on the person. There are some who can adapt easily but it will first depend on their interest if which one they will go. Some don't waste time in gambling for some reasons but they just head straight in futures trading. So, it was futures trading is the one that is profitable for some while for the other it was gambling, specifically sports betting and other skill-based games.

There might be people who will say that gambling is better because it provides entertainment other than the profit potential but they forget the fact that once you love what you are doing, it won't still make you stressed out or you can also be happy about it.

Personally, I find it less risky to bet on casinos because I can skip some games if I find it risky while if you are in BTC/USDT finding your way to make it in futures trading. It is hard to predict, the sideways movement today is just liquidating traders wherever the market goes.

Generally, there is no easy job. No easy money at all. You'd still gonna have to work it out and either gambling or trading, you can lose money.

In the first place, we cannot really compare gambling over trading because in gambling, we seek entertainment and pleasure while also making money at the same time but in trading, I really doubt that we can even do that as there is no entertainment when it comes to trading and it's all pure money making only, and mistakes will be hard to carry as that will surely have consequences down the line.

Moreover, in gambling, we have the freedom to choose whether to play it seriously or foolishly especially in luck-based games while in trading, you of course cannot trade foolishly as that will just give you a bad outcome.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 20, 2023, 07:57:09 PM
Sometime I feel like what's looks like football in the future, many good players are now join Saudi Professional League when their main reason is only for money.
'for money'? i can't even agree with this. Money has become the main target why someone wanna try to become a professional football. Remember the story from kante or even ronaldo. They were coming from poor family. They can change their lives through getting big salary from being a professional football. There was also another target owned by the player but i think that mostly of players were putting money as everything right now. The popularity will follow then. So many players have various target in the football but all of them will not wanna play without getting paid.
That being said if money was at the top of their target by turning into the professional football.

It's fair enough every athlete want to make huge amount money, but I think we will not feel the beautiful of football match when the good players are divided to two side, one is focus on his career by joining top league e.g. Premier League, while the another one join Saudi Professional league.
The main target for a team played football was for winning the trophy and got a good reward from their efford. It is my belief that the club doesn't need to play aesthetically pleasing football. Winning trophy and getting reward is much more valuable compared with playing beautiful football.

I agree with you. That in the end everything is indeed a combination of Money and Hobbies. Their star soccer players are one of a kind people who pursue a career in a field they are passionate about. that is they have a hobby of playing soccer since childhood and they make this hobby a bridge to a brilliant career and make more money. It doesn't matter where the star players play, they will still be star players and we will still look forward to their performances on the field. I personally hope that one day the European and Asian leagues will join the Champions League. I want to see the ball competition between clubs become hotter and more complex in the future.

Yes, money is just one of the few main reason but we cannot deny that without that factor, these superstars will not be enticed by a club's offer to them as they know their personal worth and what could they bring to the team even if they are not on the height of their primes anymore. Still, their experience will be a big thing for the club as aside from the need of a veteran, they also needed someone with an experience who can help and teach the younger generation.

Because if it's not about money, CR7 will not be in Saudi League and Messi will not be in Inter Miami as the latter's first choice was to go back at Barcelona FC but they cannot afford Messi at that moment.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 19, 2023, 05:36:50 PM
Ngannou just confirmed that he will go back to fight in MMA and there's already a date probably February or March it's going to be a PFL debut and no name still comes out, so Nagnnou will have a busy schedule this year and onwards and there's also a clause that if ever he wins there will be a rematch but it's unclear if there is a rematch if Fury wins, so he promised that he will do everything to get that rematch and that means he'll be earning more from the rematch.
There will be no rematch as Fury will also be facing other title challengers after this. They criticize him for "running away" from real threats when he signed up for this bout but that's not how I saw it. I thought both camps were working on a Ngannou's PFL timeline and they'll probably not have another chance if Fury is to fight the likes of Usyk.

Nothing is certain because if we read the sports outlet one by one, most of them have a different story to say about Fury and Ngannou's path. Some are just making the bout more interesting to market it, while some are saying the exact opposite where Ngannou will return and fight Jon Jones, and will not pursue Fury fight for the meantime. So, we will probably hear more stories in the next couple of weeks while the fight night is still far.
