1)  re:  cashout times   |   SwC has always taken a "security first" stance on all matters.  That is the reason for human eyes on every single cashout.  Yes it sucks and takes a long time.  Yes it's most secure this way.  Yes it takes longer than instant.  We post the times clearly and have a brilliant record since 2011.  I can't see any move in the near future to instant cashouts, it is simply a security issue.

2)  BIG BTC in a few hours.  Now 250 chips and 10 bitcoin guaranteed prizepool!  The largest bitcoin poker tournament each week!
423  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: July 13, 2014, 09:16:37 PM
BIG BTC today in about 45 minutes,

WSOP over for me, I'll return to heavily marketing and promoting SwC.

Sorry for my lack of attention to anything but losing money on tournaments this summer!  I'm back baby!

see you in the BIG BTC and I'll be around here more starting now.

glglglglglgl

tyvm to ST6 for holding it down as always.  Big shout to Glitch for helping with MTT schedule.  (Get at me for tweakin' on Monday buddy)

tyvm to all who came up to me during WSOP and scooped a free flexfit and lighter.  TY to all who repp'd it in the bracelet events.  A shame we didn't get any love this year, but the universe owes us nothing and we'll try again next.
424  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin at WSOP 2014 on: July 09, 2014, 08:34:30 AM
1)  Totally saw this guy in the halls of the WSOP.  Almost grabbed him and started talking but we are playing for $10M USD and currently that can buy a lot of bitcoin so I was focused.

2)  #DoWant to talk to this guy and will totally stop him if I see him in the halls of the Rio next time

3)  I bagged 53k / restart day 2c in ~10 hours.   Would be fun to play at same table / wonder if he knows about SwC Smiley

428  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - Sportsbook & Exchange - 2000+ props - 20 BTC FIFA promo on: June 22, 2014, 05:49:10 PM
BitBook pulled the same stunt before shutting the lights off.  Grin

Yeah - I think that's probably the case here, too. I'm counting the 4BTC in my Nitro account as stolen.

I have a pretty good track record at predicting these types of things.

would bet a coin that Nitrogen will be back within 48 hrs

would escrow or multi-sig however the boys are doing that shit these days.

IMO Nitrogen is acting like a responsible book.  They are alerting their customers to issues and keeping us informed.  I expect the site to be back shortly.

The HTTPs X thing was a bit troublesome, but I have seen that happen before when it wasn't a large problem.

I too have a few btc's stuck there, but this is the beauty of btc sportsbooks - it's only the bets I had in action - when I won that Ghana bet yesterday I quickly logged in and withdrew the coins.  Instant-ship to an address I control just in case something like this happened.

It minimizes the losses by having instant withdraws, although let's get this fucker back up and battle world cup interactives obv Smiley

429  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS 2011 Casascius 1 btc physical bitcoin (for a guy at the WSOP) on: June 19, 2014, 03:15:24 AM
The fund date does not really matter with these coins imo.  All I care about is the grades they get!

1)  new better pic sent by the seller:

https://twitter.com/BryanMicon/status/479441834611978240/photo/1

2) guy at rio did not want to buy it or didn't know what he is buying.  Offers / bids still being accepted / seller may or may not have an un-newbie'd bitcointalk account so he may be texting me / I post here.

430  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS 2011 Casascius 1 btc physical bitcoin (for a guy at the WSOP) on: June 19, 2014, 01:24:21 AM
It would seem that this 2011 S1 brass Casascius 1BTC coin was funded on 7/26/2012...? Very odd late funding for an S1 Holo...
http://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=1EKjTxmjQucLVqinrhBidPfBpNSPGELi7q

Does seller have any idea on the history of this coin?  Realizing that you are just trying to help a brother quickly convert an asset, it still might assist seller, buyer and price to have a bit of back story here if possible...

there is good way to verify here that the 1 btc is in fact unspent if that is in fact a real coin with that serial number and not a brilliant copy?

edit:  (rephrase)  does this link in fact verify the 1 btc is still "in the coin" i.e. private key contained within the un-peeled holographic coating never used in human history?
431  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS 2011 Casascius 1 btc physical bitcoin (for a guy at the WSOP) on: June 19, 2014, 01:23:17 AM
Seller is meeting a poker friend of mine now to see if he can quickly get cash in vegas for it.

he says if the deal doesn't go down he will post higher quality pix and respond to the questions in this thread.

Let me see if he can quickly send me a better pic of the front, and based on the research of the hologram info on the back, without knowing *too much* about these I remember buying 5 (have 3 left, gave away 2 that day Smiley from Mike in person I think January 2012 and they were of course 2011 1 btc coins that look very similar to the one the dude is trying to sell now.

Maybe I shouldn't have used mine as a card protector in 2012 WSOP Smiley

also I think I bought 5x of them for a $20 bill b/c BTC price was like $3 at the time

lololololololol why didn't I fire a full hundo?
[/end irrational thoughts that we all have]
432  Economy / Goods / WTS 2011 Casascius 1 btc physical bitcoin (for a guy at the WSOP) on: June 19, 2014, 12:23:55 AM
So a guy that likely wants to remain anon came up to me today wanting to sell me this 2011 Casascius 1 btc physical bitcoin for exactly 1 bitcoin.  Because I'm a bitcoin baron and believe in this currency / community I wouldn't simply take the man for something worth much more than 1 bitcoin simply because he didn't know.  I'm just not that guy.  Wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

So I said I would help him out and act as escrow for someone that wanted to buy it for fair market value.  I can verify it looked like a real one (I have 3x 2011 similar ones) and the guy really looks like a poker player that wants some USD to play some WSOP.  That is one man's read.  I decided to help him as I believe him to be genuine.  here are the pix of his coin:

https://twitter.com/BryanMicon/status/479416431654608896
https://twitter.com/BryanMicon/status/479416652287598592
https://twitter.com/BryanMicon/status/479416973353156608

I can act as escrow if someone wanted to send me the btc if a price could be agreed upon, then I can mail you the coin certified / return reciept / fedex / UPS / DHL / whatever method you prefer and want to pay for.

Dream result is someone randomly in Las Vegas with cash and meets us both at the Rio to do the deal.  but if someone outside that small bubble wants to fire on that, I'll show him where the 2-way Robocoin bitcoin ATM is downtown and "teach a man to fish" so to speak.

glglglglggl

just start bidding / this guy wants cash ASAP.

lulz I know Barry G personally and have a signed copy of Ace on the river somewhere here...

ACCOUNTING for every MTT I've played in the past decade is quite impossible.  Many are simply receipts long thrown away.  No cashes since October?  I have a 1.5 year old daughter and now only play WSOP.

This is a self moderated topic so it's not an "anything goes" thread.  you can feel free to create your own thread about how this is a bad investment and i'm not being transparent.  I can't see it going well for you

The operative word was ACCOUNTING. Everybody knows what ROI means. There is something called a record and a list of just your wins (with nothing won since October mind you) does not qualify.

I'm obviously not interested in staking you, but this is a public forum and I'm certainly entitled to comment on this, for my own reasons or so that others can see a balanced discussion.

I'm shocked though that someone representing the biggest bitcoin poker site doesn't want to seem more legit or transparent. But then again, SwC itself says "Q: How do I know I'm not being cheated. A: You don't."

Good luck at the tournament, and if you need a good read to relax the mind during the marathon event, please do check out "Ace on the River" by Barry Greenstein. Poker needs more good vibes and less showboating in my opinion.

That being said I have ~25% of myself out so I'm not in any need to sell more to feel comfortable.  Winning the 2x $10k seats on WSOP.com sure lightens the load for the summer.  I have a few more shots to bink another $10k getting me close to freerolling.

Just picked up $2500 at bellagio in 40-80 mix tonight, feeling good about the series.  Always an exciting time of year.  Action must be booked by Wednesday morning, i play at noon.

Can anything be done about all the empty tables in the lobby?  Looking at PLO there are currently 7 empty tables at 50 PLO, 4 at 100 PLO and 8 at 200 PLO, this is for 6max and there are 9 handed empty tables as well.

To whom it may concern

open client and go to >Hold'em >No Limit > Micro there you will see so many tables and all with zero players. how can we get rid of those tables. to much scrolling for nothing.

hey guys / sorry about that but ST6 is testing some stuff and needs to leave 'em up for a bit longer for testing

IMO sort by players at tables.
439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking For Vig-Free Action On Sports? on: May 19, 2014, 11:46:06 PM
I'll probably eventually ask to take a cut of the winnings once we get everything tweeked, but for now work off tips if winners are so inclined.

You had me until here.  (if there was a cost to either bettor, it would no longer be vig-free!)

there are already software solutions for escrow.  hell, i did it over a year about for BFL bets using the btc-address tool (possibly renamed now, possibly just referred to as multi-sig transactions now) .
IMO No money needs to be paid to the escrow-er ever.   If we all just want vig-free action then we can do this with the blockchain.

multi-sig escrow would work extremely well to settle sporting event bets IMO.
440  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Update: Withdrawal problems - DO NOT DEPOSITS - dying HYIP on: May 19, 2014, 11:41:10 PM
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand

that's why HYIPs are in no way gambling.

not everything that involves risk is gambling.

you don't see insurance offerings in /gambling, why would the mods allow HYIPs?

who the fuck knows, prolly still drunk on dat early BFL advert monies to "improve the forum software"

i'm sure the 5000 coins are being properly used to that end.  Carry on!
