Then they used the API keys of certain users, they sold everything, they pump a coin and tried to withdraw from the exchange, without success. The risk of using external APIs and using Bots is becoming increasingly clear. Rather than pump a coin and then withdraw, I think hackers would try to dump a coin, accumulate it in their accounts and then try to withdraw it. People whose coins were sold might actually turn lucky, if the market value of alts tank.

India take on Sri Lanka in the first match of the Nidahas T20I tri-series today. Usually, India would be easy favourites to win this match, but they have rested several key players including Dhoni, Kohli , Bumrah and Bhubaneshwar Kumar. I would still bet on India winning this match because their bench strength is so strong. Sri Lanka would have improved their confidence after winning the tri-series in Bangladesh.

While it is good news for Bitcoin users/hodlers that countries allow the use of Bitcoin as a means of transactions within their border, what will be your position if a country decides to take a step further by using Bitcoin as its national currency?
Does a country have anything to lose by not having its own national currency? Yes - It loses out on seigniorage - the profit between the cost of printing notes and the value of the notes. It also loses out on flexibility to conduct its own monetary policy. You may argue that some countries have adopted the dollar as their official currency - but this is only because the people and markets have lost faith in their national currency.

This is very strange. Usually, only employees of financial institutions and regulators have restrictions on trading, primarily because they come into contact with inside information, during the course of their job. This goes beyond restrictions on trading and seems to be an outright ban. When cryptocurrencies are not regulated and there is no possibility of insider trading, why should all government officials be prevented from benefiting from this asset class?

I wonder what % of new users who linked a BTC balance heard about the cancelled airdrop and deleted Byteball before this happened, thinking that they got screwed after the last-minute cancellation.
I'm guessing it's a fair number of them. We can consider those tokens "burned" from the distribution.
it didn't occur to anyone to give people a little heads up that this was going to happen before the time? weird. i like surprises. some people don't. everyone prefers some information so they can plan for events like this. It was to compensate those who might have already incurred costs thinking that an airdrop might take place. Those who didn't take any action yet and found out that the airdrop was cancelled, actually didn't lose anything. As Darkstar said, if you had told people in advance, then there would be hundreds of bitcoin addresses with dust getting linked to Byteball addresses.

What a great hundred by Aiden Markram scoring 143 runs and the first player to score a century in this test match on a pitch that is very difficult to bat on. South Africa are showing a lot of fight but I think it is little too late as Australia need just 1 more wicket to win this match and South Africa still need 123 runs which I can't see happening even though Quinton de Kock is still there on 81 not out. However South Africa will take a lot out of this 2nd innings leading into the second test match where I think we'll see a more competitive South African team.
South Africa will lose this test on the morning of the fifth day, but they can take heart from the strong performance of the team in the second innings. After being reduced to 49/4, Markram scored a fine century and de Bruyn gave him company. De Kock is still there at the crease at an unbeaten 81. When Markram and De Kock were batting together, there was a possibility that South Africa might win, but some quick wickets derailed that possibility.

As far as I can observe being a teacher, I am definitely happy that my students are involve in cryptocurrencies and they earn for themselves and help their families. But, their school perfomance is getting worse. Please give your thoughts how will you help students to earn and at the same time it won't affect their school works?
They shouldn't really be thinking about earning now. It is up to their parents to exercise control over them. They may earn a few pennies now, but might lose out on the chance to perform well at school and make a good career for themselves. Scraping pennies on the internet is not a real job and definitely shouldn't be done by students.

I'm curious what the people that want an Amazon Coin would do with it. How would it be different than points?
What they probably don't realize is that there already is something called amazon coins. And it is absolutely no different from points. https://developer.amazon.com/coinsIf another platform needed money, they could easily do it through an ICO and issue of tokens. Amazon is loaded, has a money generating web services businesses and has absolutely no need to issue tokens.

It was another good day for Australia batting however again most of the players got starts but couldn't go onto making that hundred. I thought South Africa bowled well to restrict Australia to just over 200 runs which they needed to if they have any chance of winning this test match. Australia now lead by 402 runs with 1 wicket remaining, they will try and get as many runs with this final wicket to make it very hard for South Africa, well it is hard now to chase 402 runs on this pitch and facing the Australia bowlers. Australia should win this test match from here with 2 days to go, I actually think it will be all over on day 4 if Australia bowl like they did in the 1st innings.
Australia have set South Africa a target of 417 and I do not think South Africa can harbour any hopes of chasing or saving this match. In their reply in the second innings, South Africa have already lost 4 wickets with only 50 runs on the board. AB DeVilliers was run out - you don't expect such things to happen in test matches.

I am all for people from different walks of life becoming cheerleaders of Bitcoin. If politicians become advocates of Bitcoin and enable the passing of regulation to further its use, I would support it whole-heartedly. In this case, young politicians from developed countries are accepting campaign donations in Bitcoin. But if its use spreads to corrupt politicians in developing countries, then it could reinforce the wrong message about Bitcoin's anonymity and adoption for illegal uses.

He makes some contradictory statements there. He says it is for fools, but also warns about the danger that Bitcoin could be used for money laundering and terrorist financing. He also compares it to lotteries. If he derides Bitcoin and thinks it is only for fools, why is he so worried about it? Why doesn't he ignore it until it goes out of fashion, like he expects it would?

Just finished a small airdrop for new users who linked their BTC address for the cancelled March airdrop. Total 2022 users. 72 MB to each user. Total distributed amount: 145.584 GB. They received this text from the retired transition bot: As you perhaps already know, the March airdrop was cancelled since balance-based airdrops stopped bringing more value as they used to do. Other formats of airdrop will be exercised later in the process. Additionally, we are shifting our focus to product and business development.
We understand that some of users spent money to link a BTC address for this airdrop, and while the airdrop was clearly indicated as tentative, we still want you to be a user of Byteball platform, and to allow you to experience its features, we are sending you 72,000,000 Bytes (worth about $30).
This is a nice gesture and an unexpected gift. New users can no longer complain about not receiving free bytes and spending money to link their bitcoins. It had to be done before a formal announcement, otherwise people would have started splitting bitcoins and then linking addresses. The older people who had linked their bitcoin addresses through the bot will feel a little bit sad that they missed out.

The test matches between Australia and South Africa should be interesting. Although South Africa lost the ODI and T20 series against India, they did outplay India in the test matches. The first test match between South Africa and Australia is evenly placed. At the end of 80 overs, Australia are 234/5. They would have expected to be in a stronger position given that they won the toss and elected to bat, but Philander and Maharaj have bowled well.

Bitcoin seems to be taking over Africa in a slow but steady manner, major economic hubs in Africa such as Nairobi, Lagos and Johannesburg are adopting BTC as a number of people are finding out that crypto offers a cheaper option to extensive problems. well they maybe late adopters but still have joined the course to spread BTC awareness and usage http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-42582343The article is dated (a couple of months old) but it makes a few good points. In Africa, because of the underdeveloped banking network, people can leap-frog the traditional financial system and get into crypto. Mobile penetration is also increasing rapidly and the infrastructure is also improving. So the traditional bottlenecks are slowly disappearing.

http://www.coindaily.co/2018/03/01/switzerland-wants-to-be-the-crypto-nation/Switzerland's tiny neighbour, Liechtenstein, is taking a leadership position with much bolder policies and a faster, more focused government that truly understands and embraces blockchain technology. For that reason, it truly deserves the title of "cryptocountry". I think Switzerland will catch up eventually. BTC will go to moon. How do you think? Switzerland is a natural fit for cryptocurrencies. Swiss banks are famed for their safety, their currency is considered one of the most stable and their strict privacy laws made everybody happy. It is only recently that the global focus on money laundering has lessened the appeal of Swiss banks. If they carry over some of these attributes to the crypto world, it will become very popular.

-snip- Yep. I don't know why I FOMO'd in so quickly to this coin. I surely would take it back and wait till it became decentralised before I invested.
I thought Byteball was built on top of Byzantine model. Can it be decentralized? Sailthor is talking about the distribution of Byteball. Right now a significant portion of the total supply is in Tony's hands and has not been distributed. Once it has been distributed (through airdrops in the past and new distribution methods as outlined by Tony), we may find out how the eventual distribution across users looks like.

Central bank cryptos will be an incredible monitoring tool for governments. If they can slowly edge out cash, it will work even better for them. Governments can feel free to loot our money (through negative interests) at their whims and fancies. There is no way I will be touching central bank/government-issued cryptos even with a 10-foot long pole.

Today the second one-day match between NZ and England has started already. England won the toss and elected to field first and this decision has given them a good result so far because NZ already lost eight wickets just for 149 runs in 38 overs. Today England fielders did a great job because they made three run-outs until now. The last match also England suppose to win but last few overs match completely changed but I think today they will not do any mistakes to lose this match.
9th wicket partnership made NZ cross 200 runs in this match NZ got all out for 223 runs. poor batting from NZ and yes ENG fielding was excellent total 4 runs outs in this match. Now England started batting lost 3 wickets for 111 they need 113 runs to win this match 7 wickets in hand and 30 overs left. I think England will win this match. 223 is really a below par score for New Zealand. England's fine fielding was one of the main reasons for New Zealand being restricted to 223. New Zealand couldn't even bat through their 50 overs. England have made a fine start to their chase. England crossed 150 in the 27th over, going at over 5.5 runs per over. They have 3 wickets in hand and should finish this match in under 40 overs.

Wozniak said, “I had seven bitcoins stolen from me through fraud,” Now at $70000 market price rate. (Source - CNBC) It is really shocking. Will it effect on bitcoin market?
Exchanges get hacked and bitcoins worth millions of dollars get stolen. Bitcoin shows resilience and bounces back. What do you think will be the impact of seven bitcoins getting stolen? If you are talking about the impact of this news on market sentiment, there won't be any. People have come to accept the fact that bitcoins can be stolen if you are not careful. And frauds are prevalent even in fiat currency, if you don't do your due diligence. So it is unlikely that this news will have a substantial impact on market sentiment as well.

The psuedonymous nature of Bitcoin is essential to it being a free (in terms of ability to send to anybody) or uncensorable form of payment. If you link Bitcoin to real world ids, then governments may browbeat the receiver / sender of transactions to toe their line, if they cannot get to the counterparty. People don't think cash is evil just because it is anonymous (compared to Bitcoin's pseudonymity). As xhomerx10 said, would anybody blame the postal department for what gets shipped through its network.
