So just an opinion here, I definitely agree they failed in rolling communication out to the home miner, at almost every turn. Honestly they shouldn't have even held a sale on August 31, but they must have thought they could get things done as they did in the past
Now quality of the order we have heard about aside, anyone who hasn't been able to order from minerwarez, didn't put in the leg work. We all saw the main site direct us there, the minerwarez site did give the option to receive an email update when it went live, and I received it. I had an order in on the 31st but no money changed hands and I felt fine ordering from the distributor and cancelling my Canaan order, and if you wanted a unit you could have done the same.

I don't think that would do anything considering it has gone through a distribution center for pallet breakdown.
Also maybe it was just some shitty employee, trading in his old gear when no one was looking... a lot of unknowns, have you emailed any of the support emails or contacted Steve Mosher through the forum for answers?

Well I hope this isn't indicative of the quality since they've ramped up production. Hopefully they get back to you fast.
I'll have to wait and see I did start to get tracking info yesterday, I sent a couple emails asking for a number, not just the "it shipped" response, and poof there it was.

I really doubt this, doesn't sound very legitimate don't waste your money.


Great company might be a bit of a stretch, they have only recently starting seeing some competition on a scale that might make them try and become a great company. Just selling out your product when globally there is way more demand than supply doesn't make you great.

Yeah I noticed that the paypal option was gone, but they did still take all major credit cards which have purchase protection on them.
Being an official distributor I'm sure all new units will be no different than if they came from Canaan themselves.

Steven had addressed this in a post, on the last page it is a shopify issue, they are pretty swamped and are  at least making some progress with orders, if you give them a little time I'm sure they will get back to you.
Nice glad to hear you will be all set. Progress is nice. It does seem most people who have been on here trying for the past few weeks were able to get most of what they wanted.

If you are still hunting I know the Rasp Pi kits are a decent price, and Philipma1957 has put out some pretty good advice on configuring them, He was going to set up a bunch for the group buy that never was.

Okay thanks for the update, My order still says that it's not fulfilled, hopefully someone just forgot to update it. Are you in the U.S, I'm wondering if that has had anything to do with who has received tracking info.

That's an interesting question, I would assume as long as all of your electrical wiring was set up appropriately there would be no issue. They do not require anyone to purchase special insurance for Gaming PC's, or any other electrical devices. I know my home insurance policy doesn't restrict me from say running my Dryer constantly for 24 hours a day. My only advice would be to make sure the electrical codes are followed if you need to set up custom outlets, and that the home is fitted with the appropriate amount of smoke detectors.

This is all just my opinion, it's up to the homeowner, and whatever their insurance policy states.

yeah quite high, I expected something in the 30$ range maybe. I was surprised and pleased that they were selling them at the Canaan price. I figure that was because they were getting a break on price by being an official distributor on top of the pallet priceing. Lets hope that price comes down in the future.

That bootstrapping idea Steve was floating out there is now looking like an even better idea.

There are companies that offer reship services I've never used one but a quick google search should help you find one. You have a bit of time between now and when the next stock arrives to find the best one for your circumstances.

Your best bet is to place the order with the Distributor the next time there stock goes up for sale. This will likely be in a week or 2. Once you are able to do that if you haven't heard from Lily in the mean time, send him an e-mail letting him know you have made other arrangements.

This way if Lily does get your order ready for processing before the new stock arrives you won't have to wait on the distributors stock.

Lol, now I'm a little worried I was a little before you and have heard nothing, here's to hoping. I did also recevie an e-mail from Lily today saying they probably wouldn't be able to fill my Aug 31 order from the fulfillment house... Nothing to do but sit and wait I guess.

I'm sorry to hear you've had issues with them. But the thread mentioned by phillipma1957, has tons of info accounts of people receiving their gear, sometimes after a long process. I do know a few pages back in that thread there is an e-mail address for one of their agents Steven,

If you can provide him your order # and proof of payment, I'm sure he'll sort you out.

The distributor seems entirely legit, more info will post I'm sure as they are supposed to ship out first orders next week.
