461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do NFTs Have Same Value as Bitcoin?* on: March 04, 2023, 02:50:47 PM
I am new to the crypto world and still learning the basics to understand how it operates. A friend who is an artist introduced me to NFTs, which he said is similar to Bitcoin. I want to know how NFT drawings can be invested in Bitcoin, but first, I need to understand how to create NFTs that have crypto value. After discussing it with my friend, I searched for help online, but instead of understanding it, I am getting more confused about it.
Do NFTs have the same value as Bitcoin? I have read that investing in Bitcoin is a good business opportunity, especially for people in West Africa who may not have many job opportunities. One can be self-employed by trading and investing in the crypto market and assets, including NFTs.

Well the price of one bitcoin is at around 22.000 $ at the moment. I would guess that 99% of all NFT's out there are worth way less than that. A NFT does not automatically has the same value as one Bitcoin as they are completely different things. Bitcoin is a digital currency which is own blockchain and of course the first cryptocurrency to ever be created and therefore still the most popular and well known cryptocurrency out there.
A NFT is a piece of Art that is stored on the blockchain. Some of those NFT's are really valuable and worth even more than BTC at the moment but most of them are not worth that much. They are also pretty easy to create and mint.
Regarding making crypto trading to your job: I would be careful with that, because a lot of people are losing money doing that. Yes a few people got really rich that way, bust most people are not that lucky.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 03, 2023, 06:52:51 PM
The latest news regarding the Bayern Munich vs PSG match in the second leg later is that coach Galtier has confirmed that one of his players Neymar will not be included in the squad list due to the ankle injury he suffered during the domestic league match against Lille two weeks ago. This makes it a little doubtful for PSG to be able to turn things around in the second leg later at the Allianz Arena, because right now they really need Neymar to complete the combination of Mbappe and Messi in attack. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have benefited greatly from this news and of course they will be very excited to lock in a win so they can qualify for the quarter-finals.

I don't follow the french league and PSG that closely but from what i have heard it seems like Neymar is playing probably his best season for Paris so far, so if he can really not participate in the second leg against Bayern Munich, then this definitely is a little disadvantage for PSG. That being said, they still have Mbappe and Messi as forwards so they are still incredibly strong in the offense no matter what. Maybe it can even be a good thing for them, because usually they have 3 players that are doing absolutely nothing to support the defense of their team, which is a very bad thing in modern football, now they only have 2 players missing in the defense.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: March 03, 2023, 06:47:13 PM
I don't know who needs to hear this but after years of being a bounty hunter and keeping a close eye on how bounties are conducted, it's safe to say most projects make the biggest mistake of paying bounty hunters using their native tokens, why do I say so, well bounty hunters don't share the long term foresight as the project to the point of being a hodler to grow with the company but rather see their bounty payment as a service and will sell the tokens for less to get whatever money they can because they owe nobody anything.Of course, for the project to pay using the tokens is cost cutting but if the project is truly slated for the future, paying using non-tokens is a good signal for a strong project.
Going forward in the best interest of investors and the project itself, hope to see "more" bounties being paid with established coins in this industry.
What do you guys think?

Well i personally am part of a bounty for many weeks now that is paying every week in BTC, which is of course a nice thing for the participants because BTC is probably the most stable currency in the crypto space, except stable coins of course. You are right that most bounty hunters don't really care about the long term vision of the project bounty that they are part of. So as soon as the tokens are paid they will dump them which can really threaten a new project.
I still think though that a bounty that pays in native tokens can definitely work. First of all the amount of tokens that is paid for the bounty should not be to high. If a bounty is offering 1 Million $ worth of tokens for bounty participants, then you should stay away from that project and from that bounty.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 03, 2023, 01:55:37 PM
Do I dare say if BVB win tonight's game, they should be taken seriously?
Bayern do seem to be in a slight funk, while Dortmund now aim to get 10th straight win since the start of the year.

I think it makes totally sense to see a team as a serious contender for the Bundesliga title, if they have the same amount of points as the current leader of the table and if they are also having 9 consecutive wins at the moment and therefore probably the biggest momentum of all the clubs in the Bundesliga. That being said, i am still skeptical about Borussia Dortmund, yes they have won all their games so far after the winter break, but i watched most of them and in at least 4 of them they were definitely not the better team and only managed to win because they were very lucky. So at the moment everything is going in the direction of Dortmund if this changes they will have some draws and losses again pretty fast.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: March 03, 2023, 01:51:45 PM
I have 20 million but haven't bought any for over 6 months as I only bought at the time as I was fairly new to crypto and it was low compared to its all time high but I now understand market cap etc.
With its current market cap at $6.3b, how high can this realistically go? Is $100b possible? That would give it a 16x from current price if so which would be good.
With the release of Shibarium due this year I do think this will see the price rise but how much im not so sure?

I am really not a fan of meme-coins because for me they are all useless shit-coins that were only created because the "team" behind it wanted to make a quick buck without investing much time and effort, just because Elon Musk made a few tweets that were just a hustle as he said himself later. That being said, there is no doubt that especially Shiba Inu made a lot of his early investors very rich because you could have literally made 100.000 profit out of a 100$ investment.
That times are gone now though and to be honest i don't see much growth potential anymore for Shiba Inu. If the whole market goes up Shiba Inu will also go up, but i don't see another x10 from here on. I would look for another project to invest in. Something with substance and a real use case.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 02, 2023, 07:08:47 PM
In the round of 16 it looks like the teams that will be competing are quite even with each other, there is indeed a difference in strength but the difference is not too significant. The difference in their strength is not too great even though there are several teams that are not superior to other teams. Honestly, I want to see how Manchester United is performing in the Europa League this season, because they have done their best and even to be in the round of 16, their struggle is harder than any other team. So I wanted to see how far they would go.

I think that in terms of the overall quality of the squad and also the class of individual players, Manchester United should be one of the big favorites to win this tournament, together with Juventus, Arsenal and maybe AS Roma. That being said, i don't really know if they are really making it this far because Manchester United is a team with a very big and successful history and they are seeing themself still as a Champions League club and not a club that competes in the Europa League. So maybe the players are not as motivated going into an Europa League games as smaller clubs are. So i think the chances for those smaller clubs to win the EL are pretty realistic.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Again Financial Giants Dive into the Crypto Space: Visa, Mastercard, and America on: March 02, 2023, 06:55:54 PM
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are all exploring the use of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency in their payment systems.

-     Visa is exploring the use of blockchain technology to process recurring payments using smart contracts on the Ethereum network.
-     Mastercard has announced a new platform called Artist Accelerator, which will allow musicians to grow their brand and increase fan engagement in the Web3 space.
-     American Express is exploring the use of blockchain technology to improve security and efficiency in their payment systems.

News like that would have been massive a few years back when the whole crypto scene was still very small in comparison to the market of today. Nowadays such news almost don't have any impact at all anymore on the markets and also on the price of the projects. Also i have to say that if you read those news, than it is also obvious, that those companies are only exploring the possibility to use blockchain technology for certain products or functions that they are offering. So it is not like that they are already starting to really use blockchain. That being said, it is still good news that they are investigating the possibilities of blockchain.

Approximately 0% chance that Zidane will move to Chelsea. Zidane in general does not want to work in the Premier League and comes up with ridiculous excuses for this, like "I don't know English well" and I'm a million percent sure that he will never move to a crisis club with unclear prospects. He has too "great" track record to risk it. Maybe he could be lured to City, but the club has a bad reputation plus the competition in the Premier League is so intense that even with City titles are not guaranteed. Given how long Zidane has been waiting for the right place for him, he won't take any of the risky options that Chelsea certainly is.

Well i think that it is a totally valid reason to not go to the English premier League if you are not speaking English very well and not a ridiculous excuse. I mean it is true though that he could probably learn english pretty fast because after all english is probably the easiest language to learn. I do think though, that it is very important that you have sufficient knowledge of the language if you are going to be a coach in another country. For a coach, it is extremely important, that you can communicate with your players, without any language barriers in order to efficiently coach and also to motivate them. Potter won't be fired by Chelsea anyway, they changed the whole team instead of changing the coach.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these crypto-twitter "influencers" are still exist? on: March 02, 2023, 11:00:00 AM
I've been thinking about this for a while and I understand that there are a lot of people who don't have enough knowledge about crypto or they blindly follow anyone who says that "it's easy to trade crypto and get $1000/day", but I still surprised that there "influencers" are still active and have a huge audience.

Yeah i kinda feel the same. I mean i can totally understand it, that if you are completely new to crypto and have no experience whatsoever in this space, that you are looking up videos of youtubers or influencers. If you are in this space for at least a few months though it should be pretty obvious to everyone with an average IQ, that those influencers are not trying to help people to make money, but they are only trying to increase their own wealth with the help of their followers.
They are either paid by the teams to shill their project, or they got a allocation to the private sale and then they are shilling that project in order to dump on their followers.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 01, 2023, 05:21:11 PM
Schalke has the opportunity to pass along the red lantern in the next game. Their direct neighbour in the table is Bochum. But not only there. Schalke and Bochum are nearly 10 km apart as the crow flies. So it will be an emotional game not only for the players but especially for the fans. The Revierderby.
After Schalke won the last game against Stuttgart they have a good chance to win this game as well.

A few matchdays ago everyone, including all the football experts was acting, like Schalke 04 was already relegated to the second Bundesliga again because they were 9 points behind a place that would get them to a place that would safe them. Now a few matchdays later Schalke is only 3 points away from a place that would save them. The good thing, when you are at the bottom of the table, is the fact that with only two or 3 wins you can change things down there completely, because usually the other teams down their are also not winning regularly. At the moment Schalke has momentum and now it seems very much possible, that they have a good chance to stay in the first league.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 01, 2023, 05:16:00 PM
I did not expect this decision. But if Dieter Hecking has the confidence to coach again and gets the team to avoid relegation? Why not? It is worth a try.
But I do not suspect that the dismissal of Markus Weinzierl was planned. Perhaps Hecking was also questioned from the board members and he had to take on the entire responsibility.

I don't know but for me such moves where a sports director is basically firing his coach in order to become the coach himself always has a kind of a bitter taste to me. Even though on paper the director of sports has obviously more power i still think that the position of coach is way more attractive to most people because as a coach you are way more in the spotlight of the media. Maybe it is different in this case because Dieter Hecking already had several stations as head coach and i doubt that he just wanted to be coach to get some attention again as i don't think that he even wants to have attention anymore. So far the change was successful as FCN finally have won a game again.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 01, 2023, 12:38:48 PM
Regarding its matchup with Dortmund, it will be a do-or-die situation for them, and they must win to remain alive in the Champions League, which is more coveted than the Premier.

For me FC Chelsea is still the favorite to advance into the next round of the Champions League even though they are 0-1 behind after the first leg against Borussia Dortmund. I know that FC Chelsea is having a pretty rough time at the moment, but i think that their performance in the first leg against Dortmund was not that bad and they even had more better chances to score than Dortmund had. Of course if you are already having a hard time then those you are also unlucky and not efficient with your chances too, so FC Chelsea is 0-1 behind now.
Borussia Dortmund is not that strong tough, so i think at the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will still be able to turn things around.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to this Eth Investor? on: March 01, 2023, 12:33:48 PM
When I see this tweet from someone I cant imagine if the owner is where now. He didnt touch his asset for a very long time or is it that he is just still waiting for a great run? I do hope he isnt dead cause the money he left is really a huge one. Or if he loss his key is one of the surreal nightmare ever that will happened.  Lots of free airdrops and fork rewards to his wallet.

Man that is a crazy high amount of wealth stored in one wallet that is probably lost forever. As others in this thread has already said, there is just not really a way to find out who is the owner of this wallet or why he has not done anything with it for years now. My guess would be, that either the keys to the wallet were lost or something happened to the holder.
I highly doubt, that he has just forgot about the wallet. He has 250.000 ETH on it and according to google 1 ETH did cost 0.31 $ during the ICO, which means this guys has invested 77.500 $ during the ETH ICO. That is a massive investment and i doubt that anyone could forget something like that.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 28, 2023, 02:25:59 PM

The latest rumors about Barcelona's target players in the summer, they are interested in bringing in Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen. I think it's a pretty good option besides he's only 19 years old but he has the AMF position, but a lot of times he also fills in on the Left Wing, even as a striker.

I am sorry but i can not take those rumors about possible planned transfers of FC Barcelona serious anymore. They have more than 1 billion Euro worth of debts and they even had to sell club property in order to not get bankrupt and still they have learned nothing and they keep on spending a lot of money on new players even though they don't have any money.
I think that Wirtz is one of the biggest talents and if he would not have been injured for the last 6 months or so ve would probably be worth 100 M€ already. I just hope he will not go to Barca.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: February 28, 2023, 02:18:42 PM
Almost all airdrop videos on YouTube are all scams, do not try hunting for airdrops using YouTube videos, those airdrops links in Youtube videos are all fake links and once you connect your wallet your tokens will be wiped out.

I would guess that there are also a lot of airdrop Videos on YouTube that are maybe not total scams but still not woth the effort. Those youtubers and influencers are doing this videos because in most airdrops nowadays you get the most tokens if you are refering people to also join the airdrop. So those youtubers get a big chunk of tokens while every normal user only gets token worth 1 or 2 dollars or so. I stopped joining airdrops at least 2 years ago or so. It is just not worth it.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 28, 2023, 09:48:13 AM

City have been the first to concede a goal too often and they are the best at making very beautiful comebacks. It will be a scoring match at the Etihad because City never play to keep the score and Leipzig have to score and by the way they also like to play scoring football. I expected City to win in the first match, but like last time they left it for the home match.

Well the first match ended with a draw with 1 goal each and as far as i know the away goal rule does not exist anymore since a few years now. This means that RB Leipzig does not really need to score. With the current result the game would go into extra time and the into the penalty shoot out and to get there would already be a pretty big achievement by Leipzig. So my guess would be that Leipzig will try to play more defensively and waiting for opportunities to perform quick counter attacks.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 28, 2023, 09:41:31 AM

Di Maria is in good shape and ready to score goals, but Nantes is not a strong opponent for Juventus. I would not judge the possibility of Juventus getting to the final based on this game alone. They now have a lot of opponents who are also worthy of a final match. For example Manchester United or Arsenal. Even Roma or Betis could compete for this match.

For me the winner of the Europa League is way harder to predict, than the winner of the Champions League. The reason for that is quite simple. For many of the big clubs like Manchester united, Juventus or Arsenal the participation in the Europa League still feels like a burden to them because obviously they would like to play in the Champions League instead and fight for the biggest title in club football there. That is why smaller clubs, that are 100% motivated are having a pretty good chance to make it very far.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 27, 2023, 06:35:51 AM
Very bad to see that Union berlin can do nothing against bayern munich. Union berlin can only defend itself from attacks that came from bayern. The fact that 71% ball possessions are so big for bayern combined with 9 shots on target makes bayern looks superior compared with berlin.

I think and i hope, that people are not having too high and totally unrealistic expectations on Union Berlin. We should never forget where they are coming from. Not to long ago, they were still part of the second Bundesliga so i don't think that people should expect from them to be on the same level as Bayern Munich or other big clubs of the Bundesliga. The main goal of Union Berlin before the season started was to not be relegated down into the second division again, so they are playing an exceptional season.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 26, 2023, 09:02:28 AM
Arsenal, Roma and Juventus are not better than Manchester United. If Manchester United can eliminate Barcelona their most deadly rivals, they can do that to any team. It is that simple. The winning mentality of Manchester United is so high for now. The new coach of the team carries pressure and the players are more United than before.

I agree here. I think that Manchester United is at least on the same level as Arsenal, AS Roma. In my opinion Juventus usually is still a little better than Manchester United but at the moment ManU seems to be in a really good shape and they are also having the momentum on their side, so if the match between ManU and Juve would happen today it would also be a completely open game to me.
I also think though we should not forget about some underdogs here that could create a major upset like Eintracht Frankfurt managed to do in the last season, when they have won the cup.
Union Berlin for example eliminated Ajax Amsterdam in a pretty impressive way.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield Farming -- Is it still a thing? on: February 26, 2023, 08:58:46 AM
A couple of years ago, yield farming was the next big thing, but I no longer see it mentioned anywhere. What happened to it? Did the players lose all of their money and slink back into the darkness?

Of course yield farming is still a thing and i also think that is still one of the biggest and most used features in the world of Defi. The reason why it is not talked so much about anymore in my opinion is simply the fact, that it is already an established thing now in the world of crypto and nothing new anymore. Given the fact, that crypto is still a lot based around of hype, which is a bad thing by the way in my opinion, it is just normal that yield farming is not being talked about so much anymore.
Just recently though a lot of yield farms launched on the arbitrum chain and the first few ones give early investors a really good profit. Now of course all the copycat projects are coming that are just in for a quick buck as it always is.
