461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Young student teaching his classmates about Bitcoin on: December 15, 2023, 10:30:10 AM
Only 6 years old, wow what a legend. It looks like this kid will go very far in life. I appreciate he has been taught about Bitcoin & pushed in a certain direction by his parents but still being so young & being able to stand up in front of lots of people to give & talk & educate them is still very impressive. Good luck to him, seems he will do well in life.
462  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Back to loss glory on: December 15, 2023, 10:21:43 AM
Times change & a lot of the time it’s not for the better. We all have the choice to live how we want to but sometimes it seems we have no choice but to go with trend, otherwise we risk making our kids different to their peers which will not help them in growing up.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craze for Meme coins never ends? on: December 15, 2023, 10:04:00 AM
People like the OP describes in his post are really lucky & I am happy for him. The problem is, people read the story in the media or whatever & think it’s easy for them to do the same. The fact remains that the guy described is in the minority. It’s like playing pin a tail on the donkey blindfolded sometimes trying to find a memecoin that does well. There are so many & sadly more people lose money than make big money.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: December 15, 2023, 09:05:52 AM
I never actively trade with multiple short term trades back & forth from crypto to fiat & vice versa. My plan has always been long term hodling & then sell years later when I am in large profit. Obviously there are so many wwys to make profit in crypto, work out what is successful for you & then stick to it. I don’t think I’d be a very good day trader.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano, XRP and LINK "massive giveaway" scams on: December 15, 2023, 09:00:35 AM
These type of scams will always exist because sadly people are still naive enough to fall for them. It reminds me of the fake Elon giveaway scams from a few years ago (send X amount of Bitcoin to a certain address & get double back). I mean you have to think if something is too good to be true then it probably is. Stay smart & stay safe out there.
466  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting as a Bitcoin Blogger on: December 15, 2023, 08:46:49 AM
You need to create high quality valuable content that resonates with your target audience (Bitcoiners). Consistency in posting & engaging with your followers is crucial. Utilise social media platforms to promote your blog & connect with potential readers. Collaborate with other bloggers & influencers to expand your reach. Optimise your blog for search engines to increase visibility. Be authentic, genuine & build relationships with your audience by responding to comments & engaging in conversations.
467  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do people Choose To snap pictures than to help another in an accident? on: December 14, 2023, 09:43:23 PM
People first think about the likes on social media and then they think about the suffering of others, empathy no longer exists, everything is very superficial, especially feelings.

People value virtual life more than real life, unfortunately things will only get worse.

This is exactly what it is. We live in a world now where people are so consumed by social media & the online world that they don’t live life in real time. People are obsessed with their social media profiles & getting the best ‘content.’ I’m very glad that I grew up in a time when all this stuff wasn’t available.
468  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump make world peaceful place on: December 14, 2023, 09:21:29 PM
I don’t think you can trust any politician. Trump will just say things he thinks will get votes & as it’s election year he’ll be trying extra hard to get votes. Biden will do exactly the same, they’re all full of BS & don’t care about us. Most of them are just trying to line their own pockets at our expense.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google is preparing for Spot Bitcoin ETF on: December 14, 2023, 08:05:04 AM
Hopefully it’s a sign that it is very likely that the SEC will soon approve Spot ETF’s. We’ve been waiting years for them to become a reality. It will bring in so much capital, the price of Bitcoin will soar over the next 10 years. Those of us who have been holding for many years deserve it. Google won’t want to harm themselves by continuing to ignore Bitcoin so this is a good move by them.
470  Other / Serious discussion / Re: A college degree is no longer a signal of intelligence. on: December 14, 2023, 07:52:36 AM
A college degree is less important now due to technology & alternative learning options. Intelligence is not solely measured by a degree as it encompasses various skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, creativity & adaptability are examples of intelligence that can be demonstrated through different means.
471  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BREAKING: Musk “Will Consider” Bringing Alex Jones Back on X... on: December 14, 2023, 07:41:12 AM
Like him or loathe him, Jones sparks debate. He gets people talking about him & no publicity is bad publicity for Elon. He pushed for free speech & no censorship with his revamp of X so Elon is just doing what he said he’d do. Alex Jones will bring attention & interest to Twitter & ultimately that’s what Elon desires.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 14, 2023, 07:36:48 AM
I am as deep in Bitcoin as I can comfortably be but I still have bank accounts of course. I love Bitcoin, it’s done so much for me, the banking system is broken but I still have bank accounts & I don’t see that changing for quite a while.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 12, 2023, 01:15:32 PM
It’s still a good idea to stay active & engaged even after retirement. Continuing to do something meaningful can have numerous advantages including maintaining mental & physical health, it gives you a sense of purpose & staying socially connected. It could involve doing hobbies, volunteering, learning new skills, starting a small business or even working part time. Taking part in activities post retirement can provide a sense of fulfilment, structure & continued personal growth. It also allows retirees to contribute to their communities & enjoy a more fulfilling & rewarding retirement lifestyle.
474  Economy / Economics / Re: We need higher wages off course but goverment need to do one thing on: December 12, 2023, 12:45:30 PM
I think we all know that wages don’t keep pace with inflation. One reason is wage growth is often influenced by the supply & demand dynamics of labor markets. If there is high unemployment or an oversupply of workers employers have less incentive to increase wages. Inflation can erode the purchasing power of wages leading to a decrease in real wages. Businesses may prioritise cost control & profitability which can limit their ability or willingness to raise wages in line with inflation.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 12, 2023, 09:42:12 AM
Most people who follow the trend have already missed the pump on a certain coin or token. It’s better to invest in well known coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum to hold long term. If you want to find hidden gems though it’s best to do your own research & catch them before everybody else does.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 12, 2023, 09:28:05 AM
He clearly doesn’t have enough respect for his wife & kids to stop living that way. I’m not sure you can do anything other than tell him he’s not living the right way. Tell him he could lose his wife if he carries on like this but maybe that needs to happen. Some people only change their ways when they lose everything.
477  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Work & work & work until you begin to break, is there no way out? on: December 12, 2023, 07:55:06 AM
The need to work hard and often is driven by things like economic pressures, rising costs of living & and the pursuit of financial stability contribute to the necessity of working long hours. There are some ways to make life better. Prioritising work to life balance, setting boundaries & and practicing self care can help reduce stress & improve overall well being. You could explore alternative sources of income, try to pursue passions & hobbies & form strong social connections to enhance fulfilment & make life more enjoyable. It is important to find a balance between work & personal life to create a better quality of life.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 10, 2023, 02:26:33 PM
No risk, No reward for sure. Anything that is absolutely guaranteed with low risk will always bring mediocre results. To me Bitcoin has no risk because it is the best performing asset of the last decade but to the average guy Bitcoin is still a risky investment. Most people don’t have the balls to buy Bitcoin which is why they will stay poor. You have to make calculated risks to succeed in life & Bitcoin is one I was always willing to make.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 10, 2023, 02:13:35 PM
Glad you are now involved in our crazy world OP. Now you’ve got started investing in Bitcoin you won't want to stop. Once you go down the rabbit hole you won’t want to come back up. Keep buying regularly to protect yourself against inflation & government control. Self sovereignty is the way forward.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: December 10, 2023, 12:16:35 PM
Yeah I agree, these ‘crypto influencers’ are mostly all grifters, absolute bullshitters pushing shitcoins on poor, gullible dreamers. Do your own research & don’t fall for their snake oil. There are loads of these scumbags, Ben Armstrong is one of the worst aka BitBoy. You have the likes of Crypto BitLord who is a total scammer. It’s a shame because most of these guys started early in Bitcoin but through greed got sucked into shilling scammy altcoins to their gullible followers.
