461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 25, 2023, 08:21:55 PM
Your intention is great OP but there’s no way we can make an appeal and convince the people to start investing in bitcoin. Know that bitcoin investment is quite complicated and anyone who goes to invest without understanding bitcoin and it’s market well will certainly fall into losing just like other investors who have jump into investing without understanding how bitcoin works. Instead, tell them the benefits and risks of bitcoin investment and leave them to decide if they really want to take advantage and invest, or just ignore bitcoin investment.
462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: July 24, 2023, 09:58:03 PM
Even if you have those pointers but if the person is not willing to spend sometime to study about all necessary things that they need to learn then all of the pointers given is just useless. Maybe they need to know their intention first in why they are here since if they are for short term maybe crypto trading is not for them since it need a lot of patience and proper learning. But if they are for longterm for sure they can see the down trend and upper trend then provably this can help them a lot to know more about possible strategies that they can create to help their trades and maximize their possible profits.
You have a point mate. It does not matter how many trading tips you have in trading, the important thing is you have to study and learn about them so you can successfully apply whenever you decide to trade. Trading is hard and certainly risky, that’s why everything should be learned the hard way and everyone should follow its process as there’s no shortcut to success in trading.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 24, 2023, 09:33:54 PM
This is a good idea to attract the citizens to favor him but I guess this maybe one of those broken promises that are only said during election and when they won eventually, everything is forgotten and just focus on their original plan to fulfill their own personal desires. Also, I don’t think the rest of his members will favor on his personal concept because knowing bitcoin, majority are still hesitant to accept it.
464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every Bitcoin holder Should Take a Cybersecurity course on: July 24, 2023, 09:15:28 PM
Yes, all bitcoin hodlers should be more aware about cybersecurity but that can be learned even through self-study provided that there are free articles in the internet that talk about it, and not mainly taking cybersecurity course that you still need to pay. However, it’s a general concern actually once you start owning bitcoin and become responsible as a long term hodler. You need to protect all your personal data and information to protect yourself from any form of hacks or scams.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency comes close to bitcoin? on: July 23, 2023, 09:49:00 PM
No one’s gonna beat or even comes close to bitcoin. Although I must say there are a lot of altcoins released on a daily basis, but none of them has tried to go beyond the level of bitcoin. Simply because, their names are not even established and are not reliable in the long run. That’s why most investors still coming back to bitcoin where there are more secured and stable profits to expect in the future.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 21, 2023, 03:18:02 PM
There are still no significant changes in the betting odds.

Spence 2.20
Crawford 1.60

Crawford by KO or TKO 3.35
Spence by KO or TKO 7.00

All the attraction points to Spence if you like a big win. Also, you have to believe that Spence will win so you'll not regret your decision. Spence by KO could happen, actually, since Spence has heavy punches and his KO rate is high. Maybe the quickness belongs to Crawford, but who knows.

Their KO difference is not that far and so I think they are somehow equal in that regard.
But when it comes to speed and reach advantage, that will be hard to debate because it is clear that Crawford does have those qualities, still, we cannot discount Errol Spence in this fight because he too can give an explosive and unexpected outcome. It will be a tight fight for sure and I'm sure that I'm not the only one that is still thinking which side to bet.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 21, 2023, 02:45:14 PM

Let us not forget that the fight will be held in Japan, the only way for you to win is via knockout and I don't think that Fulton could KO Inoue so with that I will be betting Inoue to win via decision @3.10, a good bet for me.

Good luck, but honestly, I find it hard to believe in anything other than a KO win by Inoue. You know, he is a KO artist, so it's most likely he will win via KO if you believe he will win. The reason why a KO win by Inoue has lower odds is because it's likely what we will witness. So, I'm still with Inoue, but on the KO win.

Considering the odds that @biskdak2 put through, I cannot blame him if he chose to believe that this fight will end into the judge's hand. But since Inoue is a heavy hitter and have more wins via way of knockout in his career, I'd say that there's nothing wrong with betting on Inoue for a KO outcome because I will not deny that it is indeed more likely but based on the odds, I'll just throw a few.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: July 21, 2023, 01:37:31 PM
The covid-19 pandemic period was a real booster to the increment in numbers  of people using the online gambling casinos with the restrictions of movement barring people from attending physical gambling shops the online gambling became an alternative to which after the end of the pandemic the convenience and privacy of online casinos made many of the gamblers to see no need of continually using the physical casino shops.

The ugly side of online casinos Is how unnoticeable the convenience and comfort of it can lead to addictive tendencies and too much time spending gambling online, at times to the detriment and neglect of other important matters.
COVID-9 is indeed the biggest trigger so that online gambling is developing so fast, and what is also one of the triggers is because the world is currently turning digital, everything is done via the internet, as long as you have an internet connection, people will be able to carry out activities. And what's most fun is that it can be done anywhere and anytime, unlike land-based casinos where players have to go to the casino, and what's also no less fun is that we play it in secret without the closest people knowing.

I just imagine before that people are like wanting to go to vegas to gamble and have fun as there are no casino in their areas but right now you can do it anywhere using your phone and people are already enjoying it more than going to actual casino. Also people wants more comfortability right now like just sitting in the couch and playing which it is very opposite before that most of us wants to go out from our houses. The digitization really also trigger it in which we used to it also because of the pandemic that no one is allowed to go out

That was when physical casinos are still a thing. Covid-19 pandemic was the perfect opportunity for these casinos to go online and launch their own respective platforms because at that time people doesn't have much option as they are just locked inside their own houses plus the gamblers who are used to gamble for almost weekly basis will have to resort to other things and we know that casinos cannot afford to lose their businesses in the middle of pandemic or worse lose all their clients at once.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith AUG 19 2023 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: July 20, 2023, 08:56:46 PM
So now that Canelo Alvarez had signed a 3-fight deal with PBC, Bivol was hanging without an opponent. A pursuit of unifying the belt against the 3-belt holder Artur Beterbiev is in the picture but I wonder if both networks and promoters agree to a deal. But the longer this plays out, the more Beterbiev is disadvantaged due to his age so there is also the possibility that Top Rank and ESPN may not really want to match them unless Bivol can be signed by Top Rank.

DAZN and Eddie Hearn should let Bivol have a 1 or 2 fight deal under the exclusive rights of Top Rank and ESPN if they really want to happen it ASAP. The WBC is all about money so greedy Sulaiman can cancel or make an exemption on its nonsense ban on Russian fighters when given the right amount of cheque.

Well, to be honest, I pretty much hope that WBC will be bribed easily and that the right amount will do the trick to make the undisputed fight into reality before Beterbiev starts considering his retirement. I mean, the man is just a few years away from being a 40 years old and before his retirement phase, at least he can have that fight because it will be total waste if he will retire without having any chance of cementing his legacy.

If there will be no pressure from someone above, I think they can get the WBC's approval with the right figure since they are the only ones who are making a stand to stop the undisputed fight from happening. Other than that, both camps can begin their negotiation and it will be a smooth sailing discussion as long as Eddie Hearn will let Bob Arum to organize it as the latter have the right to demand because it is his boxer who got more belts to offer.

WBC should start to look on the bright side and just accept any offer that is presented on the horizon, there's no need for them to enforce these pressures because in the first place, these Russian boxers have nothing to do with what is happening up North, they are just a private individual who seeks a better future inside the boxing industry. It would be unfair if they will still enforce it these days as that's just like the same as racial profiling, sadly.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2023, 08:14:17 PM
Yes, WBC now has mandated Haney to fight Shakur. So Haney has until Friday to decide whether he wanted to pursue that fight or not. If he goes to 140 lbs, then it will be Regis Prograis waiting for him.

Hard decision for Haney?

Less risk for him is Prograis obviously.

High risk is Shakur. But definitely more money in the table perhaps. But I think Shakur has a good chance to pull an upset.
Man, that's something Haney's camp should deeply think about. Fighting Shakur and winning it will give Haney more fame and money while moving up one weight against Regis Prograis will give him the easy way according to them because of Prograis's slow movements. I will not be so sure about that.

Although they say Haney has already decided he will be fighting Prograis, it seems like his confidence in Prograis from his last Twitter posts is giving them the doubt to decide clearly. It could go south, that's a possibility, this is boxing. They cannot just underestimate Prograis because I think he is also ready to fight anyone.

"Regis Prograis Says Devin Haney "stuck Between Rock And A Hard Place"
https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/07/regis-prograis-says-devin-haney-stuck-between-rock-and-a-hard-place/
That's the best way to define their status now. But they will have to decide or else his belt will be stripped.

Money wise fighting Shakur will bring him higher anticipated paycheck while career wise, taking Prograis may give him a decent chance to continue holding a title, though if he's thinking about hype and respect as a fighter taking that risk against Shakur is really something that fans will love to witness, with the time frame that being given for his camp to decide, only one option or else his belt will be stripped.

Expecting something aside from avoiding hahaha, I mean looking to see that he will take the tougher road in facing Shakur.

Even if Devin Haney will choose to fight Regis Prograis at 140 instead of Shakur Stevenson at 135, it will just be a temporary thing because he cannot evade the mandatory as that will be pursued again once he finishes his fight with Prograis. Fate will always bring Haney back at 135 to fight Shakur and eventually, he will have to choose which belt will he carry and vacate if he will be successful in his campaign at 140. Tough choice but he needs to make a decision.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 20, 2023, 07:49:47 PM
Anyone seen the video of Fulton getting a birthday cake from a Japanese?

But for sure, he want's to be cordial but he might be cautious as well. Remember Michael Jordan's food poisoning from a Pizza when he was in Utah? I'm not saying that this could be a trap from Fulton as it could be laid with something. But I guess they are wise enough not to consume that pizza from a Japanese bakery just to be on the safe side.  Smiley

I hope Fulton did accepted that gift as maybe it's just a form of appreciation from that Japanese and there is no harm intended, but at the same time, he should be careful too and only eat what he knows and what he trusted because as the fight night is approaching, we cannot deny that there will be some attempts.

Anyway, about that pizza that Jordan consumed way back, he did not get sick because of it and nobody can confirm that as well that it was indeed a food poisoning because the owner of the shop himself was the one who made and delivered that pizza to Jordan's room. It was just a flu, that is why that specific game was called a flu-game and not a food poisoning game.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 19, 2023, 05:32:47 PM
Better? Come on. In most states kids at 18 can buy guns and most even assault rifles, and in past kids were allowed to get guns and use them in shooting range from 14, and now it turns that they can jerk off slots only from 21 Cheesy And for example, in Alaska (there are other states) if you are 16, you can take your dad or other guardian, go to gun store and buy a gun. Yet this kid is not allowed to go to casino and have some fun spending his piggy bank money in blackjack. Amazing.
This definitely depends on where the gambler is living, for EU or western countries kids can buy guns without any good reason. But for people who're live in Asian or African countries, they're not allowed to buy guns except you're police or you have a good reason to buy it.

Although each country has their own rule, but I think most of people are matured when they're already 21 years old.

In most countries in Asia, it's a lot harder to acquire and buy a gun legally because it is easier to acquire it illegally where papers aren't needed that is why it comes with a much cheaper tag price but the trouble is, you don't know where it came from or if that specific gun was used recently from a crime that is why they want to sell it.

Anyway, back to the topic, it is really odd to think that most western countries are much more strict when it comes to age restriction in casinos but if it's about buying a gun where it's more dangerous, any random kid can purchase it.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 19, 2023, 04:23:00 PM
With James harden trying to force his way out of Philly to the clippers, Ben Simmons shipped out & Markelle Fultz being a flop, it seemed like Philly was resting its hopes on Joel Embiid. Well, now Embiid is saying he doesn’t care what team he plays for, he just wants a championship. It looks like ‘Trust the Process’ may officially be a failure soon.

Embiid's desire to win his first title is understandable. However, I've heard other rumors about him and the 76ers. There's a rumor that Embiid wants to go the way of Dirk and Kobe. In other words, he wants to stay with the 76ers for his entire career and win a title in Philadelphia. If that's true, then the 76ers management should think about building a really strong team before Embiid runs out of patience.

To be honest, Joel Embiid doesn't strike me as a loyal type of player who will play and retire as a 76ers until his time is up.

In the next few years, there is a huge chance that he might start and ask for a trade if there's no improvement within the roster because he's more of a player who will seek a team that has more chances of winning a championship title instead of staying on a team and be like Kobe and Dirk regardless of what will be the result at every end of the season.
474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: July 19, 2023, 12:56:53 AM
This wasn't said in there but it doesn't really crack into top 10 to be fair so I can understand why its not there. But do not get into trading when you are already dealing with a problem. It doesn't matter what it is, maybe you heard someone you love got sick, maybe you had a fight with a friend or wife or someone you care about, maybe you just lost in a computer game in an unfair way, yes even that because even the smallest and most unimportant things could matter to your mind, some people won't care about that, and some people would be incredibly mad. This is why its quite important that you do not deal with any baggage when you start trading, if you do then its a problem for you without a doubt.
Trading requires a lot of focus and concentration. Hence, you need to have a relaxed mind and body for you to be able to maximize your attention on your trades. Problems have no room in trading, otherwise you’ll never go straight to your goal because you’re totally destructed. Also, trading with emotions will never lead you to progress and success, thus you need to stay calm and relax whenever you’re trading.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 18, 2023, 09:58:13 PM
Bitcoin can be freely used as a digital money and as a good investment. It’s everyone’s choice where he’ll be more comfortable and he’ll gain more advantage. And as for now, seeing bitcoin as an investment is way more exciting and profitable. But of course you need not to invest if you are still not knowledgeable on how bitcoin works, and if you have still doubts and hesitations on taking its risk.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gain more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2023, 09:36:54 PM
In the world to day gambling is leading instead of BitcoinBTC (crypto currency) and more are still wanting to join gambling because the minimum age to gamble is 18+ and lot of upcomings are waiting and this is the total amount of gamblers, so let's talk about the crypto currency (Bitcoin) we all know that Bitcoin is a good investment and it has changed a lot in the crypto world but the interesting part is that the numbers of Bitcoin investors can't be compared to gamble and my question is Why? or  is the risk involved in Bitcoin higher than gambling risk?
Just chesk this source
Everyone wants to experience a big break in their finances but not not everyone is patient and is willing to wait for long term profits. That’s why instead of waiting for a breakthrough, people chose to gamble instead and expect some quick returns that will make them instantly rich. That is how their mindset works which I think will only ruin their finances in the long run if they keep on gambling and expect a living. Bitcoin is profitable yet it’s a long term investment, while gambling is an easy and faster way to make profits but it can also leave you homeless if you become uncontrollable in gambling.
477  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investors, what metrics of BTC you constantly monitor? on: July 18, 2023, 08:59:13 PM
Since you're talking about investors (those who basically buy Bitcoin and hodl) and not day-traders, i don't think there's a need for any metric, because you can't even predict the market, neither can that metric assist you in predicting it accurately, and as a long term invesor there's no need to try. Thus, since you are buying and hodling, use the DCA strategy to accumulate Bitcoin and hodl for as long as you want, it is the best 'metric' for a long term invesor.
Metrics are only useful in a fixed and certain market, but it will never be good enough in a crypto market that is very uncertain and unpredictable. So I agree on you with this mate. However, I would say that investing when bitcoin price is low, would make the best entry and selling it at its all time high will definitely make you profitable. Otherwise, if you set your own rule, then it will always be hard for you to gain significant profits.
478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies can't profit from crypto without knowing how to trade. Truth or Myth? on: July 18, 2023, 08:30:18 PM
Everyone is free to buy bitcoin but it will be useless to say if he does not know how to trade since it’s the only way that he will get good returns from bitcoin once he decide to sell or trade it when it’s price has skyrocket. So most likely, if you dont know how to trade, you will never be in profit for crypto, not only for newbies but also even to those who have been staying long in the market. Bitcoin is all about buying and selling, investing and trading, aside from using it as a payment currency to buy certain goods and services.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: risk nothing, you're risking more on: July 17, 2023, 09:57:10 PM
Saying sorry for you never take the opportunity to invest in the first place is something that a lot of us here had experienced. We all have our own hesitations and doubts knowing bitcoin at first, however if we chose to acquire knowledge and take risk in investing, then we will know that bitcoin is a perfect choice since it gives unlimited opportunities for people who are brave enough to take some risk. So welcome to the Bitcoin community OP and hopefully this time you’ll get what you deserve.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 17, 2023, 09:37:21 PM
Bitcoin has nothing to do with CBDCs or with government’s fiat. If they fail in the process and drop their value, then bitcoin has also its own fate. And it’s fate is to continuously rise in the process, making its value 5x or 10x from its present. Most especially that halving is near, then bitcoin will create a very reasonable price everytime bitcoin halving is happening. Though I can’t assure everyone that what happened before when bitcoin halving is around will still be the same up to these days.
