501  Economy / Gambling / Re: BK8 - Biggest and Most Trusted Brand. Asia's #1 Crypto online casino BTC & USDT on: December 27, 2023, 11:14:12 AM
As a boxing enthusiast, I'm happy to see BK8 X Manny Pacquiao:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7zeoCFzfcQ

Hopefully the partnership will last long as it's good to see Manny being one of the brand ambassador of BK8.
Greats. BK8 could make Manny Pacquiao a partnership.
Pacquiao fans will be very happy to see their idol with BK8.
I am also a fan of Manny Pacquiao in boxing. Pacman is a great boxer with a different playing style from other boxers.
In my opinion, BK8 advertising management is good in many sports fields.

In football sports, BK8 also makes Aston Villa a sponsored team. Last night we lost against Manchester United. Unai Emery failed to extend the list of wins.

It's great to see BK8 establishing solid partnerships. Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest if not the greatest in the sport of boxing. The only 8-division world champion and he is also very popular around the world.

Aston Villa lost to Manchester United but they will bounce back stronger in their next games. Aston Villa is in a very close race at the top of EPL which is great. Also a big opportunity to join the Champions League next year which will boost BK8 further as the tournament is one of the most watched around the world.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 27, 2023, 10:54:44 AM
^^ And just imagine the trash talk by Casimero, I mean he has been calling Inoue since the bantamweight division unfortunately, they haven't face in the ring yet. We don't need to discuss it though, we all know what the reason is.

And it seems that Inoue is now the Filipino torn in this division, Donaire and now Tapales, and other Filipinos that he has face before.

Maybe Casimero is the now going to stop the bleeding and put him name on the top of the super bantamweight division again.

Casimero is once again trending at least in his native country because he is known to mock and challenge Naoya Inoue. But based on their previous performances, I wonder if Casimero can even survive 5 rounds. Casimero is already in his mid-30s and his lifestyle as an athlete is not that strict which is probably the reason why he is performing below world class level.

I am not calling Inoue a thorn in Ph boxing. He's just at a different level and he is even loved and has a lot of fans in Ph. He did beat a lot from the Ph but it's the same situation with his Japanese comrades trying to block his way to greatness. The first time I heard Inoue was when he dared a Ph national champion for his pro debut. I thought, he would lose and in my mind, I was like, how dare he fight someone at that level in his first fight. The rest is history.

504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose, arrange and create your portfolio of altcoins on: December 27, 2023, 10:25:44 AM
...
What did I do, I choose the first 5 coins under these categories and decided to buy and hodl them with 50 USDT each. Am I on the right track or is there any other way I can do more better.

For as long as you did your research and you have the confidence then you're good. I assume you have a total of $250 as a starting capital. If I were you I'll just trade the whole amount. Stay away from leverage trading and better do it on spot trading. Leverage trading is only for those that have huge trading experience and you can feel it later on if you're ready or not. So you just focus on the spot trade. In spot trading you need a little bigger capital and $250 should be good enough.

If you want to buy altcoins and just HODL with a $250 capital, I'll probably just pick 2 coins at $100 each. $100 each for bitcoin and ethereum. If you can save regularly, you can invest in bitcoin, ethereum, and some other altcoins monthly or at a timeframe fit to your economic situation.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 27, 2023, 10:02:51 AM
I'll go with Mr. theymos' decision to have a $100 weekly DCA on bitcoin. But if I can do it my way, it'll be a weekly DCA on bitcoin too but not 100%. I'll probably allocate 20% to 40% to altcoins depending on the future market trends. I could go on with a 100% bitcoin DCA but once I can feel some altcoins are starting to gain momentum then I'll trade some of my bitcoins into altcoins. When my altcoins are profiting already I will sell part of them back into bitcoins and then will HODL the rest.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder Vs Parker & Joshua Vs Wallin Boxing Mega Saudi card 23rd December on: December 27, 2023, 09:39:11 AM
So AJ who hinted an interest in fighting Wilder after his fight with Wallin. AJ might get it since Wilder after that humbling defeat to Parker started to talk once again. Wilder still wanted the AJ fight a go and was even saying that AJ might use the Parker victory as an excuse and pick another opponent.

Without a big Saudi offer, it won't be surprising if AJ offers Wilder a fight in the UK. It's still big and it's easy money if AJ stays disciplined the whole fight. But AJ being the most popular heavyweight right now could choose easier fights rather than the dangerous Hrgovic, Parker, and Usyk-Fury winner. Another good option is Ngannou and the 40-year-old WBO interim champ, Zhang Zhilei.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 26, 2023, 02:19:54 PM
Naoya Inoue just made history by becoming only the second fighter to become a 2-division undisputed champion. It was a brilliant display of ring IQ, hand speed, footwork, and stamina as he disposed of Tapales in the 10th round. Tapales made the fight interesting as he came to win, unlike the previous Inoue opponents who went into survival mode once they tasted the power punches of the talented Japanese.

With the win, Inoue has a serious claim for the pound-for-pound throne that The Ring currently entrusts on Terrence Crawford, the first 2-division undisputed in the 4-belt era. Inoue is a 4 division champion while Crawford is only a 3-division champion.
508  Other / Meta / Re: BCT vs BTT abbreviation for this forum on: December 26, 2023, 01:59:25 PM
Voting is locked already. Should've extended it until December 31, forum time. Cheesy Most people I encountered in this forum used BTT. But I prefer to use BCT since it is Bit-Coin-Talk. If we're to copy the use of BTC on bitcoin then I guess it should be called BTCT.

Anyway, I have no problem and I don't give much emphasis on how people want to abbreviate this forum. There is nothing wrong with them as long as they aren't something offensive.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 26, 2023, 01:39:35 PM
But still a win is a win and I heard that as per MVP is, Joel is 1, Jokic 2, and the Luka 3. As for the Phoenix Suns, I think it will be very difficult for them to make the playoffs even if Bradley Beal becomes healthy. Something is lacking in the team right now, Durant is not his usual self with this Phoenix team, not sure, but it looks like he just going to the motions of playing basketball and not looking to win or his competitiveness is not there with Phoenix.

undated on December 22, 2023, Luka is only at the top 5
https://www.nba.com/news/kia-mvp-ladder-dec-22-2023-edition

Suns are in trouble now, they badly miss Nurkic to man the paint.

Wow! I did not even know Luka is already inside the top 5 when it comes to the ongoing MVP race. The odds here say Luka is at #4 after Embiid, Jokic and SGA.

Phoenix Suns are in serious trouble even when they had Nurkic playing. Ever since they had their winning streak broken, they already lost 9 of their last 12 games. This is not expected from a star-studded team. Bradley Beal's return is probably the game-changer this team is waiting for. In most of the games Booker and KD are playing their usual ways but they're still losing, coming up short. The management better do something while there is still enough time before the trade deadline. They can also consider firing Frank Vogel and look for other options.

Thanks for sharing the link here. Pretty cool mate! I am a big boxing fan as well and Manny Pacquiao is the only 8-division champion in the history of the sport. So it's an honor BK8 can get endorsed by a legend and one of the very best in the sport. And now I am more interested in getting a BK8 apparel.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 25, 2023, 11:34:12 AM
And it's going hard to sell if they push the AJ vs Wilder fight, I mean fans know that Wilder by this time is done already, he might still have that power, but if he can't hit any that he can't win this fight. Post fight, he said that he didn't know what happen, it seems that he can't pull the trigger according to him. And I remember coach Roach during the Pacquiao vs Oscar Dela Hoya that Oscar can't pull the trigger anymore.

So if boxers suddenly have that kind of experience and mentality, they could really be out of their prime years already and it could be a sign that they will have to retire for good. Not sure though if AJ vs Parker will push through in Saudi next year. So Joshua doesn't have a good dance partner and he should have fought Wilder way before when they are still the hottest HW that time. But they seems to not want to, until Fury come into the picture.

Wilder, according to compubox hits only 9 out of 219 (correct me if i'm wrong) power punches, that's awful. Parker exposed Wilder big time and if ever Wilder fight one more time, his opponent will definitely use that Parker template on how to defeat him.

Parker ruined the Saudi party, that's Wilder's fight to win but it ever the Joshua vs Parker fight pushes through, this is also a good one. Good tune-up fight for AJ before ultimately facing Fury in the "Battle of Britain".

Wilder landed 26 of his power punches out of 94. Overall including jabs, Wilder landed just 39 out of 204. I think it is more on the mental state of Wilder. I'd been saying before that he might be more unstable than AJ after their strings of defeat. After Wilder scored a big KO on Helenius, I thought he was back to his usual self. He tried to establish himself as the aggressor but Parker also knew how important the role of the aggressor in their fight. The aggressive stance of Parker made it difficult and when the Kiwi started throwing quick punches, Wilder was surprised and could not match the speed so he gave up and fought backward hoping for the counter. Wilder is not highly skilled so fighting backward is a no-no because it is more difficult to throw punches and win rounds that way. After the second half, it was evident that Wilder and his team were starting to get worried that he might never land a solid counter. He was also scared to let his hands go and try to force Parker into retreat mode except for the last few rounds.

AJ said he wants to become a 3-time world champion. Which means fighting the winner of Usyk-Fury or fighting the IBF interim Filip Hrgovic or the WBO interim Zhilei Zhang. Or he could request the WBC to make his next fight a WBC mandatory or for the interim belt. AJ also showed interest in a Wilder fight which I believe could still fill a stadium in the UK if the Saudis aren't interested in it.

But I guess Eddie Hearn will convince AJ of the less risky but financially better fights. They'll probably offer something big for Ngannou or Wilder or the 40-year-old Zhilei Zhang. I believe that version of Parker is a 50/50 fight for AJ. Eddie did not give a direct answer when asked about a fight with Filip. Poor Filip has no big fan base and he was wasting his prime years because nobody wants to risk with less money.

Here is the Compubox report on the Parker-Wilder fight.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: Setting up financial structures before going into the family way on: December 25, 2023, 10:28:35 AM
If all people prioritized financial stability before starting a family, the world would be a better place. Although I am not saying that starting a family even if the finances aren't secured yet will fail, there's still the chance of being successful. But it's just different when someone is in a financially stable condition, the chances of having a better family and becoming more successful are high.

I know there are still many people who believe in the old ways like we should get married before 30. I don't agree with it. Modern countries usually average over 30 years old when their people get married. And so it's proven rather than the old beliefs that has to change.
513  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Merit Help] Meri(t) Christmas giveaway with a twist... on: December 25, 2023, 10:17:28 AM
First of all Merry Christmas sa ating lahat. It's been years now. On and off rin ako dito sa forum pero bumabalik pa rin lalo na pag paparating na ang bull run kung saan marami dito mga news and meaningful discussions.

Biggest achievement ko siguro sa 2023 is yung DCA ko mostly kay BTC which only started December rin sa 2022 kung saan sumakto na nag $15k level si BTC. Grabeng tipid ko talaga for the last 2 years. Meron mga dapat ayusin sa bahay pero I prefer to invest.

Wish ko is more opportunities rin sa kahit anong klaseng raket basta hindi illegal sa 2024. I vacate myself from committments kasi pinaghandaan ko talaga mga possible opportunties lalo na coming na BTC halving which means the market will start rising once again. Yang IPhone kabayan kaya mo yan sa 2024. Ako naman medyo ambisyoso pero the goal is to save as much as possible para may pang talpak sa BTC at ibang altcoins para sana milyones ang kitain by 2025 or 2026. And then start a business pagbalik ng bear season. Grin

Welcome back kabayan!
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 25, 2023, 09:53:52 AM
I did not expect Tapales to weigh lower than Inoue but I guess he will rehydrate more than the Japanese. Both are in excellent condition so we have a fight. My head says Tapales won't finish the full 12 rounds but I am feeling confident that he is preparing for something new and awkward that will make Inoue think about being too aggressive. And Tapales hits harder than Fulton, maybe he can do damage on Inoue if he gets his timing right.

This is a great fight. Both fighters showed respect to each other. May the best man win.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 25, 2023, 09:27:33 AM
A day of rest before arguably the best basketball day of the year.  I'm not sure how the NBA took over Christmas but I'm happy for it and for the players and coaches willing to sacrifice a big chunk of their holiday just to entertain the rest of us while we sit at home counting our blessings.  Really looking forward to watching the Lakers face off against the Celtics, which is always good for sentimental reasons, and the Mavericks facing off with the Suns.  Booker and Doncic have had some beef for a couple years now so you know this one is going to get chippy.  Hopefully with Durant along for the ride Booker won't get punked again.

It's been an NBA tradition to schedule rival teams during Christmas and it probably has high ratings which is why it continues. I might miss some of the games but I am definitely watching the old rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Lakers. Boston is the top team in the NBA but this is not an easy game on the road especially when the Lakers just beat the 3rd ranked OKC at Oklamoha in their previous outing. But I have a -3.5 bet on Boston.

Booker going up against Doncic will be another intriguing game. Doncic got the best in their previous meetings but this time Booker has KD on his side. But I am rooting for the home team here even if they have been struggling lately. Might try to catch some good odds during the live game.

517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder Vs Parker & Joshua Vs Wallin Boxing Mega Saudi card 23rd December on: December 24, 2023, 07:16:56 AM
And there you have it, Wilder lost the fight in the judges scorecard, scores were 118-111, 118-110 and 120-107, all for Parker. So the supposedly fight with AJ could have been derailed already with this lost from Parker.

I think Fury already taken Wilder's soul, hehehe. Not sure why Wilder perform this bad in the biggest stage. And there were moments in fight wherein Parker made Wilder ridiculous.

I had it 120-108 but 2 of the judges scored it to Wilder when he landed some heavy shots although Parker landed his own and was still in control. I'm just surprised Parker showed the younger version of himself. He was supposed to be slow and past his prime but he was damn quick against Wilder. His stance made it difficult for Wilder to become aggressive.

AJ said he is still willing to fight Wilder. I guess it's easy money for AJ and will still fill a stadium in the UK. Hopefully, Usyk retires after beating Fury so all these contenders will fight for the belts.

Since Wilder's prospect days, I always have had doubts about him. I always see him as gifted with an iron fist but that's all. Wilder has low-level skills and there were many times he was losing rounds before landing his heavy punches saving him from defeats.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 24, 2023, 06:26:09 AM
Wow! The Lakers are back in the winning column at the expense of the Oklahoma Thunder. What a game by Lebron James, he made a season-high 40 points. OKC still played well but it was too late. OKC just couldn't stop the Lakers' momentum starting in the 2nd quarter and it was around 30 points lead in the 3rd quarter. This could be an off-night for OKC and the Lakers were on the road determined to end their losing streak. Still, OKC should learn from games like this. They need to be better, especially during the playoffs when they are facing teams that have deep experiences.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 23, 2023, 09:40:39 AM

He did try to surprise Inoue, but the opposite happened, instead of him use that strategy it was Inoue who surprised him and counter him
in any way he tried to throw his solid combination.

I also think that Donaire give that advise to Tapales to avoid mistake with his strategy, better to keep close and try to read whatever the fighting style
Inoue will use for their fight.

Though we don't really know what it is and what would be the plan for this upcoming fight, all will be reveal during thier meeting inside the ring.

Donaire realized that he did a big mistake by being too aggressive leaving him vulnerable to the counter punches of Inoue. That's why the rematch didn't really played well on the side of Donaire. Well, as we all know, Donaire had a good fight against Inoue on their first meeting, but that's all he can offer, he hit Inoue with some solid shots but the monster Inoue stil able to endure it, therefore he can't really beat Inoue using his power, so he shoudl have adjusted trying to use his height advantage and quickness, but what happened, happened, so he lost and probably career over for him.

Now, Tapales is quite young compared to Donaire, so he is more powerful, the only thing he needs to do is to conserve his energy and try to look for a one punch KO as Inoue will be very busy every round.

A lot of people are busy analyzing this fight. What I expect is both Inoue and Tapales are preparing something not common, especially at the start of the round.

I expect Inoue to stay smart and composed. He will use his jab and some combinations but won't exchange with Tapales at the start. Inoue will only start to unleash his deadly attacks once he can find his reach.

Tapales is very different from Donaire. He is younger and could be stronger and a little faster than that old version of Donaire. But I doubt Tapales hits harder than Donaire. Although this is 122 and Inoue could get hurt by Tapales' power shots. I believe Sanman is preparing Tapales to be the aggressor but if he cannot do it then they are preparing counter combinations and haymakers when cornered.
520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diverse is your crypto portfolio? on: December 23, 2023, 09:19:54 AM
Here is my current crypto portfolio. I am mostly into bitcoin because I started its DCA in December of last year. I only have a few altcoins although I am planning to add more, especially on Ethereum. I haven't included my stable coins but it should be more than 10% if added.

I haven't mentioned an amount because it is not necessary. What is necessary is to only invest an amount that you can afford to lose. Never borrow money to invest in crypto. And do not use funds that are intended for other purposes. And for the newbies, only start as small as possible. You can grow it little by little once you acquire knowledge and be more confident to invest.
