541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT and virtual real state project the biggest scam in past 3 years? on: November 17, 2023, 01:39:59 PM
Dunno about the biggest scam because there are always plenty of them in crypto. We had FTX, BlockFi plus many more over the last 3 years but yes for sure, NFT’s & virtual real estate are huge scams, total waste of money with no future.
542  Economy / Economics / Re: House to consider stopgap funding measure today to avert government shutdown on: November 17, 2023, 12:12:07 PM
Seems this is a regular occurrence under the current administration. Rampant money printing & funding of wars we are not even directly involved in, oh dear. Hopefully now that inflation looks to be somewhat under control things start to get better for the average guy on the street.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 16, 2023, 08:29:07 PM
It doesn’t matter if you are a low net worth, low earning individual. You still want to avoid losing purchasing power of your savings don’t you. There is no better hedge than bitcoin so like you say OP, you can invest very little. If you are able to DCA for a number of years & be very patient, your money will do much better in bitcoin than it will sitting in the bank suffering from annual inflation.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: November 16, 2023, 08:05:12 PM
No chance it will reach $1 because the supply is near infinite. For it to reach $1 a huge portion of global investment funds would have to flow in & let’s face it, that will never happen. SHIB is a meme coin with close to zero utility & real world use cases. It’s just not going to happen, divert your attention towards main coins or small caps.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Plan for making a small dream come true on: November 16, 2023, 07:28:50 PM
Your exit point 1 on bitcoin is quite low considering it isn’t that much higher than the previous ATH in 2021. If we do hit a new ATH then chances are it will go much higher. I would bump up all exit points by 10% at least. I believe this cycle is going to be explosive.
546  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the second most popular investment in "France" on: November 16, 2023, 07:22:24 PM
It’s a sign of changing times & that people are sick of having their net worth devalued by a reckless government.
Cryptocurrency is a lifeboat for people trying to protect their purchasing power & beat inflation. More & more people will turn to cryptocurrency as time passes, we are early.
547  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do people get depressed? on: November 16, 2023, 07:09:31 PM
Life is hard, other people expect so much from us. I think people get depressed due to work pressures, the cost of living crisis has really hit in the last couple of years. It’s put pressure on people, money is tight & that can lead to depression.

There are so many things that can make people depressed. It’s nothing to be ashamed of these days though, there is help out there. It’s accepted as a condition now so you can seek help without feeling ashamed or embarrassed.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: November 15, 2023, 11:22:29 AM
If you invest in more well known altcoins then you can make a lot more money than you do with traditional bank savings accounts. It’s all about timing the market, if you buy at the top with crypto then you’re going to lose a lot of unrealised capital losses. If you buy at the right time, which actually isn’t that hard, then hold for 4 years or more then you will beat pretty much all stocks & bank savings products. So to summarise, buy Ethereum, DOGE, Cardano, Matic, LINK etc a year or so after bitcoin makes all time highs, then hold for a few years, hey presto big gains.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favourite Alt-Coin, and why? on: November 15, 2023, 11:11:06 AM
I am not a big altcoin guy but my favourite of the whole bunch is by far ethereum because it is so vital to a large percentage of the entire altcoin eco-system. Without ethereum a whole bunch of the excitement & interest in altcoins would not exist. Ethereum has a use case which is more than can be said for most altcoins. I expect the price of ethereum to continue increasing over the mid to long term.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow to Buy Bitcoin is Not Advisable.Consider the Factors Before Doing That. on: November 15, 2023, 11:00:21 AM
It’s generally not a good idea to borrow money in order to facilitate bitcoin purchases but there is a time when it can be beneficial. I would always advise against it but if you can time the market right it’s easy profits. If you borrow & buy bitcoin 12-18 months after an all time high, when the market is on the way down then as long as you make minimum payments monthly you can sell during the bull run, pay off the debt fully & still have great profits. It can be seen as free money but it carries a lot of risk.
551  Economy / Economics / Re: House to consider stopgap funding measure today to avert government shutdown on: November 15, 2023, 10:41:21 AM
Seems this happens every quarter, they make a threat about potential shutdown & then at the last minute agree a deal. The cynical side of me says that they are manipulating stock markets & buying when there is uncertainty, probably then selling when they agree a deal & everybody else pumps the markets.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not all educated are educated. on: November 14, 2023, 03:22:53 PM
These companies will continue to bend the knee to regulatory pressures, otherwise they won’t be permitted to do business in said countries. Don’t be surprised at anything they comply with after being told so by their masters.
553  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 14, 2023, 02:20:01 PM
Bricks & mortar (property) is always a good hedge, holding property in a good area for decades will never lose you money. You’re here on a bitcoin forum though, the answer is closer than you think. Bitcoin is the inflation killer, look since 2009, nothing beats bitcoin’s performance. Buy, keep buying, never stop buying.
554  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In Panama 77y Old Man Schoots 2 Protesters Blocking The Street! on: November 14, 2023, 11:15:58 AM
They are all across Europe doing this same thing, a group called Just Stop Oil, protesting against the use of fossil fuels. They block highways, stop people going to work, stop ambulances, they are a pain in the ass. The guy in the US that killed two people was too far though, killing them was not the answer. I think these protesters should do jail time, it might stop them then. Either that or tell them to do & do it in China or Russia, see what happens to them doing it there.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adaption in Turkey on: November 12, 2023, 12:38:37 PM
Inflation in Turkey is insane, it really is. If we think we have it bad in the US then trust me, we haven’t seen the currency devaluation & outright total mismanagement of the fiscal duties there. I am not surprised people are trying to protect their purchasing power by buying & using bitcoin. Bitcoin is a saviour to many people & long may that continue.
556  Economy / Economics / Re: Micheal Salyor decalogue for a 10x Bitcoin Appreciation on: November 12, 2023, 10:38:20 AM
He’s such a breath of fresh air & will be seen as a genius within a couple of years. Reports say he is currently in $1,000,000,000 of unrealised profit with his/MSTR bitcoin holdings. Can you imagine what he will be worth in a couple of years. When, as is expected, bitcoin goes to over $100,000 he will be one of the richest men in the world. It’s fascinating to see his conviction.
557  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: November 11, 2023, 01:54:27 PM
Bitcoin will continue to be tied to fiat currencies for a long time. When I say that, I mean there will be USD/BTC pairings for a very long time, just as there will be CNY/BTC, GBP/BTC & so on. People still use fiat for every day things, get paid in fiat so until that changes we will still see people valuing bitcoin in their national currencies.
1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin of course but normies don’t think this way. Bitcoin isn’t going to be THE only used global currency so get used to it.
558  Economy / Economics / Re: Honestly do we really got rugpulled in pandemic? on: November 11, 2023, 09:41:32 AM
Lots of the supposed conspiracy theories during that time actually came true, that’s all I’ll say on the matter though. I mean we were led to believe COVID was a deadly virus that would wipe out large % of the world. We were then told the ‘vaccine’ would stop you getting the virus, then it was 90% effective, then 75%, then 50% & so on. An actual vaccine stops you contracting a disease, it gives you immunity. Lots of the richest people in the world profited on what happened. People like Bill Gates were buying big pharma shares before the virus happened. It all stinks but we’re the little people & we’ll never be told what is really going on. Let’s remember they gave us $1,400 stimulus cheques but then left us with insane inflation after printing trillions, doesn’t seem like a good trade for us.
559  Other / Politics & Society / Re: An easy way to overcome China and Russia on: November 11, 2023, 09:34:26 AM
I really don’t think it is a good idea to threaten direct conflict towards China & Russia. They are very dangerous countries, they will not think twice about serious actions & retaliation which would be catastrophic. There has to be other ways to deal with powerful, dangerous nations like those mentioned. Sanctions & cutting them off from well known banking systems is a much better idea. In the days where nuclear war is a real possibility, it’s best not to antagonise them.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock Ethereum ETF Filing on: November 10, 2023, 03:22:05 PM
Bitcoin will be approved first, almost certainly. They are not going to get an Ethereum one confirmed before the ultimate, most well known cryptocurrency. What this tells me though is that the bitcoin one must almost certainly be expected to be approved. Blackrock, as the largest asset manager in the world, does not do failure. They must have had encouragement from the SEC regarding the bitcoin ETF so have pushed ahead with an Ethereum ETF application. Exciting times lay ahead I think.
