621  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 05, 2013, 08:25:59 PM
Can you post the public links to the core team's BTCT portfolios to prove that they have held the shares and will continue to?

If burnside says it's locked then presumably it's actually locked. As in, unable to be sold using the system.

There's no such thing as a "lock" feature for shares, nor did Burnside say he has manually locked anything. Or did I miss something?

Will you put up the ask wall at 0.0079 again? Otherwise it won't be long until some idiots buy at 0.01 or higher...  Roll Eyes

Looks like all the futures at 79 are sold. With the nethash going up 10% overnight, I don't think you'll see anymore at that price.
624  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] [XBOND] Bitcoin's Only Exchangeable Bond on: August 04, 2013, 10:21:08 PM
Please be careful speculating on the price of XBOND.

The callback cost is 105% (0.00105 bitcoins each).

We can issue more bonds at will; and callback can happen at any time.

This means that if you buy an XBOND at greater than 0.00105, you run the risk of loss if it is ever called back before you profit from coupon payments.

It's poll time!

Please review the questions below, and consider whether there are any you would like added to this poll.

If you would like to add a question, pm it to me.

Please try to be reasonable with any submitted questions, and understand that not all suggestions will be used.

QUESTIONS

Does ASICMINER/Bitfountain intend to create an official website and/or blog outside of the bitcointalk forums?

Does ASICMINER have plans to develop a marketing campaign to extend beyond word of mouth and business on the bitcointalk.org?

Originally, board members were going to receive a test unit of an ASIC mining device. Will you provide this or any other tangible items to board members in the future?

Could we have an official live hashrate meter from ASICMINER?

For more transparency, is it possible to share a wallet address for depositing income from ASICMINER hardware sales?

What are the plans regarding the Official ASICMINER Exchange? Have they been dropped?

Besides mining, hardware sales, and fees, are there any other potential sources of revenue?

Looks like the offering sold out in about 14 hours.

Thank you everyone for making the release a success!

I'll post updates as they become available.
628  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPO 8-2-13] [XBOND] Bitcoin's Only Exchangeable Bond on: August 03, 2013, 12:16:43 AM
Maybe i need to do more research, but i find it difficult to see an additional raise of funds close to 200,000 USD worth to TAT , having a hidden email contact on this forum, a gmail only contact on the havelock exchange, let alone thieves in the company name, and no website to be found via google that i can see. do you have a name ? office ?

Think of all the "names" you know in bitcoin investing. Are they more, or less trustworthy than the well-known handles?

The exchange operators do know who I am, where I live, and my background in business (other than MPEx, since I have yet to issue there).

We have a legal firm working on formalizing TATI as we speak, not only in a business sense, but in the eyes of the SEC as well. We have a plan, and we are executing it.

I told you all in the past that I am trying to raise standards, and that's what I'm doing. TATI is bringing new concepts to the market, investing money into new bitcoin services, making new bitcoin legal accomplishments, and other surprises.

A website will come eventually...

Although less shareholders means more profit for me! Smiley

Oh, the irony!

TAT you called pump and dump on Activemining are you sad that you didnt get any IPO shares and trying to bring down the price? I dont get how this is any different from any real world company CEO's dont hold private shares they are all listed on the market

I made money on ActM, and Labcoin, like many. Not because I have long-term faith, but because I knew the market would act irrationally. I have no holdings in either anymore.

This is different because these people are not paid a salary out of some current income stream, like Google. They are paid in a finite amount of shares. When those shares are not enough to justify doing the job, those people will quit. That time is now really. They'll have more than $1m in coins after selling off, and the odds are that's the most profit Labcoin will ever see for itself.

633  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 02, 2013, 08:38:02 PM
But seriously just chill.  If you don't trust these guys with your money, then don't hold the shares.

It's not as simple as that. The greater issue here is the legitimacy of the market itself.

We care, so we kick and scream. I don't want issuers acting like scammers, or investors buying into scams, regardless of whether I hold shares.

It affects everyone. It affects the value of everything, and bitcoin's health in general.

634  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPO 8-2-13] [XBOND] Bitcoin's Only Exchangeable Bond on: August 02, 2013, 08:26:08 PM
Otherwise, I think most people find that I try to be both diplomatic and a purveyor of progress.

Still wondering what you meant by diplomatic...  Tongue

Are all future listings to be supported by this bond to be released on Havelock Investments? It seems you have had successful launches there recently (including this bond).

What I meant about diplomatic is that I do my best to be respectful while being respected, and I try to take people seriously when I'm not sure if they are serious. Being tactful on the internet ain't easy, and people like to make it even more difficult with trolling and dramatic overtures. Being diplomatic while trying to be progressive is even worse, being that many dislike or misunderstand change.

3. Any XBOND on any exchange can be exchanged toward Pre-IPO offerings on any exchange, so long as they are issued by TAT Investments.

See above, but generally an XBOND sold on any exchange is redeemable to any eligible IPO on any exchange. I'll post Pre-IPO details along with any IPO announcements. These details will include any schedules, specifications or limits (if any).
635  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: August 02, 2013, 08:03:09 PM
for some reason I sold all my shares at 3.8x, I had just returned from holiday and didn't know what was going on I guess... hashrate down, blabla...

Buy back now?

I will have lost one whole share if I do, but at least I'm still with AM (who I had planned to stick with for at least 6 months... that's 4 months to go...)

The XBOND IPO that just launched on Havelock resulted in a lot of people liquidating their ASICMINER shares to free up some money for it...I doubt you will find a better time to buy back in than right now.  I saw Passthrough shares at .0368

I wouldn't buy anything from TAT due to him putting me on his ignore list. Why did he do that? Because I posted in this thread saying that AM's dividends and share price would drop as competition arrives in the coming months. Most people here called me a troll, even though I was posting facts and using maths to backup those facts. As it turned out, what I said would happen, did happen.

TAT is a fanboy (sycophant as opposed to a fan) and that fanyboyism has lost him an investor.

As for AMs fall in price, this is just the beginning. I've already posted the maths to show this so I won't go over that again as it just makes people here angry and upset. I wouldn't be surprised if AM shares were back down to 2.x by the end of the year.

I don't recall how or why it happened, but you don't seem to be on my ignore list presently. I'm pretty liberal with putting people on ignore in the forums, so much noise to filter, but your posts are coming through just fine for now.
636  Economy / Securities / Re: [NEW!] [XBOND] Bitcoin's Only Exchangeable Bond on: August 02, 2013, 07:56:52 PM
One thing I don't understand (because I am slow to understand these things) is why is something like this listed on an exchange? If the face-value is fixed, why would anyone buy or sell at a price that is not the face-value?

Several reasons:

1. Emergency liquidity - If you need to sell your bonds for whatever reason, there may be buyers on the market that can provide faster, "cheaper" liquidity at any given moment.
2. Speculation - it is entirely possible for this bond to trade above its face value, because it also provides intangible value with its access to Pre-IPO purchases.
3. Facilitation - The host exchange provides all of the tools needed to manage the bondholders and interacting with them.

being in the ipo makes no difference if you are just going to sell the remaining units at the same price and with no time for scarcity related price appreciation.

It's a bond, not something you price-speculate on.

Sounds like you wanted to screw people, not me.

You said so yourself that it's something to price speculate on... (no offense, just saying) Smiley

Yes, but I'm talking about 1-4%, and not a "flash in the pan" 2x spike, but a supported value.

TheSwede75:
can you explain why a votor of BTCT commented that "I wouldn't trust the operator at all, well known troll"?

UPDATE:

I was pretty 'Trolly' and outspoken in my early days especially in the BTC-E.com's trollbox. Since then I "got over" Alt Currencies and chilled out a lot. If anyone wants to judge me based on Trollbox chatter, I guess that is up to them. I would probably consider my flawless trading history, group-buy organization etc more important factors when assessing my 'honesty' though. Besides that, I am not one of the Founders or Developers inside Labcoin but just someone that helped out in the IPO and serves as an additional communication resource, so I am not sure why me being a 'troll' would have to do with the Security.

TLDR: I may have (have had) a big mouth and short temper from time to time, but I have never scammed anyone.

OUTSTANDING SHARES:

Also I was asked to clarify the 'outstanding shares' on BTCT.CO. For some time the outstanding shares on BTCT.CO was incorrect (not sure why, probably due to the script we ran to place the shares). This number is now 10 Million (10.000.000) which represents ALL the shares of Labcoin. This number will NOT change and Labcoin will NOT sell more shares. I hope that clears up any confusion.

Q/A UPDATE:

The coming days Developer from Labcoin as well as Sam himself will answer technical/development questions as well as describe the near future. Expect several posts.

This is not an explanation. Like I said, BTCT only shows shares as outstanding if they have been sold or rendered to another account by doing an internal share transfer. The total Outstanding should be 7m, not 10m

I am sorry, now I understand what you are asking in "This is not an explanation. Like I said, BTCT only shows shares as outstanding if they have been sold or rendered to another account by doing an internal share transfer. The total Outstanding should be 7m, not 10m"

The reason for all 10 million being 'listed' is the fact that the Founder shares (3 million) has now been transferred out of the original IPO account and into the individual Labcoin team (developers, founder etc). This transfer is the reason all 10 million is now seen as the 'outstanding shares' amount.

I hope that answers your question. I also personally think that this is more 'honest' since the 'Market Cap' is now based on all available shares and not only the 7 million placed in the IPO.

In other words, you can sell whenever you want and no one will know.

Bingo! The shares should not have been rendered. What incentive does the company have to work at all if they can just sell all their own shares?
639  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPO 8-2-13] [XBOND] Bitcoin's Only Exchangeable Bond on: August 02, 2013, 06:15:23 PM
you could of planned it over a timespan instead of screwing over the early investors.

Who got screwed? How?
