641  Other / Meta / Re: Round #3 Paraphrasing/synonymize, is it ok? on: August 19, 2020, 02:12:01 PM
That's not paraphrasing because you just changed some words in order to make it on your own. Paraphrasing on the other hand is something where a writer tries to interpret on what he understand based on the original text. That kind of word swapping doesn't need some kind of thinking needed because you just look for synonyms while the structure of the sentences are almost the same. I remembered theymos commented on what counts as paraphrasing or still counts as plagiarism but I forgot on which topic it was but I remembered text spinning still counts as plagiarism.
642  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Pay Could ‘Destroy the Financial System’ on: August 19, 2020, 01:38:53 PM
You should take note that there new law about holding crypto is about that alone only they are also planning to have a different law with regards to mining crypto as well as trading it in an exchange which they have said on a previous statement. This might just mean that they are really planning to have a less crypto friendly law when it comes to the crypto industry country. Even if it is something bad I still think this kind of adjustment from the Russian government to officially allow crypto in the country is a huge improvement and there is still a chance that these laws they will introduce will change overtime.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Twitter on: August 19, 2020, 12:00:58 PM
The so called "crypto trader and experts" are back. While I'm not surprised,  the only thing wrong about it is that newbies will be at their handle waiting on pump and dump calls to dive in and they do so without making their own research. A couple of days ago, someone posted his portfolio and immediately, his followers replicated majority of it. It's funny how people will easily jump on a call by someone who they know is not a financial adviser and go all in. Doesn't make sense.

If everyone on crypto twitter is winning their trades, who is at the losing end? Lol.

Sadly not all newbies learn from their mistake and it is now their fault that they are still losing money because of it, and these people are also the ones who blame the crypto itself on them losing the money and they don't blame the ones who they are listening the advice too. For these guys we can't really do anything to them as they don't want to learn in the first place all they think off that there is an easy money in the crypto industry so it's really better to just leave them alone as they need to help themselves to change.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use BTC to generate passive income like ERC20 tokens? on: August 19, 2020, 11:25:47 AM
Just with Bitcoin itself you won't see any kind of passive income as Bitcoin wasn't build that way. There are other services such as wallets and lending websites where you can earn passively from there. Bitcoin being the most popular crypto and the most used one has a lot of available services accepting Bitcoin so you won't have any problems finding one. Try looking for Bitbonds and Abra because this is the ones I know personally on what you are trying to look for.
645  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-15] US Prosecutors Seize Bitcoin Allegedly Tied to AlQaeda, ISIS, Hamas on: August 19, 2020, 11:00:54 AM
Have the terrorist bitcoins seized by the American government become clean upon sequestration? I speculate that the future of public blockchain data is open for the government to label what is bad and not bad.

This might become a important issue, I reckon hehe.

The US government have previously auctioned off Bitcoins related to illicit activities so I doubt this situation would be different not unless these Bitcoin they have are also stolen from people who they know this will something they do. After they have these Bitcoin and is ready for auction I assume that this will be "clean" as it has passed and investigated under them safely.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 19, 2020, 10:21:40 AM
Look at the posts before you, you will see that majority sees that VR equipment will be a problem when they implement this kind of gambling casino as they see it as an expensive item just to gamble or even play the gamble. Yes a lot of developers are trying to be innovative here but if they want success they at least need to make this equipment much more affordable for everyone to buy.  Like I also mentioned in my first post they will just minimize their market by doing this new kind of casino. They'll simply just limit the number of players they will have playing in their website.
I am talking about it's future possibilities, and Like I said, "technology advancing every year. There will come a where the equipment for VR set will become cheaper and more affordable just like most gadget that are in the market today.

Yeah I don't disagree on you about the VR thing advancing but when it comes to it being cheaper? All of your choice of having that kind of thing are cheap knock-offs coming from China. Do you see gaming consoles especially mobile phones coming from Samsung and Apple getting cheap every time they release a new model? No they aren't because when technology is advancing it doesn't make their new models cheaper it makes them more expensive with the research and development being put into consideration. When it comes to gambling I don't think a lot of people will add additional expense just to have a virtual reality insider a casino so I don't think everyone will be attracted to this.
647  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Proof of the ownership of BitCoins during a Divorce on: August 18, 2020, 10:55:42 PM
It depends on your country if you country doesn't regulate crypto currencies then it is hard to report it as a form of asset but it can be done in some form if you both got mutual understanding about dividing the assets you had.Better contact a legal advisor to get the appropriate results.

It's a divorce we are talking about so definitely a lawyer will be involved the main problem they'll be facing here is if her husband will be not cooperative when it comes to disclosing his earnings in the crypto market that's why I gave her an idea that she can request the trading history of his husband from the exchange so that he knows the total value of his holdings.
648  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] mydashwallets.com is phishing on: August 18, 2020, 10:19:24 PM
It is similar to what had happened to bitcoinpaperwallet.com where ever since it had a change of ownership it was either giving used wallet addresses or sending Bitcoin to other addresses. Like mydashwallet the website of bitcoinpaperwallet is still running and still scamming a lot of people and it is happening for several months now and I don't think the authorities will be responding to this kind of matters anytime soon. So I think you did the right job OP on informing everyone about this matter, the more people informed the less people will be victimized by this scam.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 18, 2020, 09:00:17 PM
I am not surprised, with the invention of VR headset and technology advancing every year it was just a matter of time before someone takes online gambling into virtual reality. what I am most curious about is the advancement it will have in the future once it became popular enough for company, business owners, casino owners, etc.. to invest and create their own virtual gambling casino.

650  Other / Archival / Re: Question to merit sources on: August 18, 2020, 03:02:07 PM
I'm not a merit source as well but I have read dozens of merit related topics here in the meta to know that merit sources do some kind of background checks in the user before they send their merits. Some merit sources do read the post history of these members if they only find that only one post was helpful/useful and the rest are from bounty campaigns or spam threads they don't continue giving that person a merit. Some merit sources on the other hand check merit summaries of these people to see if there is a merit abuse going on but I have never read any merit source not giving merits just because they are hoarding merits.
651  Economy / Economics / Re: Will African countries be developed? on: August 18, 2020, 02:18:47 PM
Only a good and determined government will be able to turn things around for them on how I see things. Because if we have a lot of charities and organizations requesting for funds to provide the basic needs like food, clothing, and clean water we see that this isn't enough for them to be able to move forward in having a better life. If the ones running their country are corrupt or selfish people they won't be able to afford better education and have better jobs. Aside from that we see that some of these countries are run by dictators or having some militia in them, this should be solve by the UN on clearing them out of their country as it only deters the progress of these African nations.
652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Twitter on: August 18, 2020, 12:42:03 PM
I'm not saying its bad to read all of them but rather it's bad that you will just believe and follow what they are saying badly. I mean it's like trusting a stranger your bank account for just speaking to them. Same goes with statements and analysis we see in the crypto industry you aren't really sure if there is a hidden agenda behind it or they are simply just dumb people hoping that their thousands of followers will just believe one what they are saying. So the next time you read some prediction and it is factual the next logical thing you do is to do your own research about it.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ: We are seeing ATH in terms of system traffic. Higher than Dec 2017 on: August 18, 2020, 12:01:31 PM
Changpeng Zhao is mixing up price prediction and his site's traffic as if it is correlated to one another and I know he is aware of it just to hype things up in the industry. With his expansion in everything especially the acquisition of coinmarketcap this might be the cause of them having more traffic right not as compared to 2017, it doesn't mean that this increased in site visitors will be all translated into a demand that can trigger a bull run. CZ just tweeted this like I said to hype up the market and connecting to things hoping that the rest will think the same.
654  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-13] What Bitcoin Can Learn From Gold About Staying ‘Clean’ on: August 18, 2020, 11:07:48 AM
For one Bitcoin unlike Gold isn't a commodity meaning it can't be separated simply because of it's quality, source, or history as in the eyes of the wallet all of them are the same.

Bitcoin itself and any non custodial wallet is of course completely agnostic. A buyer, seller or third party platform facilitating a trade is not.

I'm sure there are many, many rent seekers looking for a hole to expand. This may be one of the prime ones they're exploring.

If something like this would exist like people will be selling/auctioning of clean Bitcoin I doubt there will have a big market for it or they will profit much from it. Remember that the confiscated cryptocurrencies in custody of the authorities are also being auctioning of by them after and they sold it more of a wholesale price rather than profit so I really don't expect these untainted cryptocurrencies will have a difference in value just because it hadn't been involved in any kind of malicious activity. Like I said the worst thing that an unknowing person who has possession of Bitcoin connected to crime is just investigation and he will still be in possession of that Bitcoin after that.
655  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My domain name + your idea/business on: August 17, 2020, 11:40:34 PM
coinrumble might be a good name for a crypto comparison site.

But give up a percentage of the company for $10?   Just register the .net  domain and keep all ownership.
It's a fair point in the sense that .nets are available for many of these, but they were all dropcaught, not free reg'd.  If you go onto any sites like dan.com and search for "coin" + (viable single word).com domains, you won't find any for less than $1,000.

I tried to secure coincrush.com a few months ago, their price was $13,000 (unfortunately)... it's a good name for a range of different projects.

cointube.com dropped about a month ago and sold instantly at auction for about $8k from memory.

Well depending on how the project''s potential will be I don't think q businessman will mind spending a couple thousanda of dollars on finding an alternative for the domain rather than hiving a percentage of their company/business in exchange for the name. No guy in his right mind would give a big piece of their idea just because they got the name first especially if there are good alternatives in the web. If you are looking for a business partner you need to shell out more than a domain or at least an equal amount of capital your business partner will be shelling out.
656  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-13] What Bitcoin Can Learn From Gold About Staying ‘Clean’ on: August 17, 2020, 10:47:59 PM
I doubt something like this will happen for a digital currency not in the foreseeable future. For one Bitcoin unlike Gold isn't a commodity meaning it can't be separated simply because of it's quality, source, or history as in the eyes of the wallet all of them are the same. Yes we do have these cryptocurrencies that are tainted and can fuck someone up if they have one but the thing is the only worst thing that can happen for a unknowing person is that their funds will be freeze temporarily for investigation and that's it they won't take it away from you.
657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Rise Due to Lower US Dollar? on: August 17, 2020, 10:02:24 PM
That kind of claim would require you to prove that the ones holding US dollars may it be a citizen or a forex trader is indeed shifting their money towards Bitcoin which isn't really evident. Even if we look at it chart wise or with technical analysis you will see that the daily traded volume for Bitcoin is in fact decreasing and even before that it was mediocre at best. So its really hard to prove that there was a correlation without any kind of data saying there was a huge influx of US dollar in an exchange just to buy Bitcoin.
658  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Proof of the ownership of BitCoins during a Divorce on: August 17, 2020, 04:03:44 PM
Asking or contacting the crypto exchange and requesting his trading history as well as his current holdings is doable. They should respond to this as long as you have the proper legal documents proving that you will need the data to split the money with your soon to be ex-husband. If both your husband and the crypto exchange deny your request it would be easy for a judge to provide a subpoena for the exchange forcing them to provide your husband's account history. This would be easy for you to investigate all the address connected to him allowing you to know the true value of what he is holding.
659  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to catch up knowledge gaps and stay on top? on: August 17, 2020, 03:21:04 PM
If you are inclined to visual education I think online classes/courses are for you and you can get some free ones online just search as "Free Online Class/Course [Insert Interested Field here]"  and you will see results in Google that are offering it. Don't limit yourself to crypto related courses only as trading is also part of other markets and I think it is more suitable for you and learning them first rather than crypto trading as technical analysis basics is more understandable when it comes to stocks IMO.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 17, 2020, 02:54:33 PM
IMO just by setting even a normal game more so on gambling a VR only game would specifically just limit the market of the business itself. For example there are popular games in Steam where VR equipment is needed to play the games even if it is interesting but it requires the player to buy additional equipment just to play the game makes me disinterested in playing the game because of it. More so on virtual reality gambling you are just limiting yourself on a small market that is already small in the first place. I doubt you will have a lot of players playing this game on a daily basis.
