bump
662  Other / Meta / Re: Unfair to Jr.Members on: October 14, 2018, 12:17:11 PM
First off, I agree with the implementation of 1 Merit for Jr. Members, but I find it unfair that those who were already Jr.Members were demoted to Newbie again, it's just unfair, they should have received 1 Merit from the System automatically and so only new members would be needed to get 1 Merit. When merit was implemented everyone automatically received Merit based on activity, so why is it now different?
Fuck off already
663  Economy / Goods / Selling Adidas Pod-s3.1-shoes on: October 13, 2018, 09:01:06 PM
Hey folks, I got these Adidas Pod S-3-1 shoe couple of weeks back which doesn't seem to fit my size. I'm too lazy to ship them back and they're just laying in my room. I want to get rid of them. They are opened only once and come with the original bill/Adidas-packaging. I got them for 100EUR but willing to sell them for 70 or any other amount the buyer think is appropriate. They're size 9.5. You can check the model and size chart here https://www.adidas.co.uk/pod-s3.1-shoes/AQ1059.html . If you want to buy them, just drop me a PM or comment below. I accept Bitcoins/ETH and will be willing to ship them across Europe. Shipping charges will be handled by the buyer. I can upload photos on request. They're literally opened once and are in the same box as they arrived in.
664  Other / Meta / Re: account lockout on: October 02, 2018, 10:31:06 PM
Admins, dear, I beg you to forgive me, for me it is very important!
There were New Year's holidays, I was not sober, I did not realize what I had done!
Of the 1400 messages, this is the only such thing, I will not do it again, I will not repeat such an error!
Please forgive me!
This is my only account fantom1962. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=899777), I have been pumping it for so long, I tried, and this error happened. I am very sorry to have made this one mistake !!
Forgive me, please, do not deprive of your account, I want to work on the forum, I will be very grateful and grateful to you! ..
What does pumping account even mean? You either post out of your interest or you don't. You should probably ask a Russian admin to handle your case as most of your posts are in Russian. I doubt it's copy-paste ban though.
665  Economy / Reputation / Re: Deleted posts that have been merited on: October 02, 2018, 09:32:06 PM
I was gonna start a similar thread and this seems to be a serious issue. Shit-posters are being ranked up by 1 merit and there is no evidence of the merited posts since they are Off-Limits/Moved to Trashcan. Another example of such an account is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1582336 Typical Bounty Shit-poster with 1 merit. No idea what he got the merit for.
666  Economy / Services / Re: Earn $2/post - Signature campaign for the HODLER Open Source Multi-Asset Wallet on: October 02, 2018, 08:48:22 PM
Please, wait with the next applications, everyone who sent me a message and set up a signature has been accepted. On Saturday, we will make the first settlement of the campaign. Thank you again for participation.
I'm afraid you're putting your reputation at risk by hiring shit posters in your campaign. Nothing as bad as a service being advertised by a shit-posting account. Please either find a good signature campaign manager to carry this out for you professionally or check the post quality/merits instead of aggressive hiring. You definitely want value for your money, don't you? Also, what is the maximum number of posts that could be made by an account?
667  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I built a service to pay for Starbucks with crypto. 16 currencies supported. on: October 02, 2018, 08:30:31 PM
You need to have a Starbucks app with an active US account. After you check out your account is topped up with the USD amount you paid. 3rd party payment provider is used to process payments.
I'm still testing the service right now so it's limited to $5-$10 transactions but so far there were no issues.

www.coffee4crypto.com

Supports BTC, BCH, ETH, ETC, LTC, XRP, DOGE, WAVES and others

Ask questions or post your feedback here
No offence dude, but you wouldn't expect people to do any kind of transactions on a website that looks it's developed by an 8-year-old. Even if the UI has to be minimalistic, it can still be aesthetic given the plethora of UI frameworks out there. Also, what is the 5% conversion fee? That's ridiculous!
668  Other / Meta / Re: [Merit Analysis] How many Merit received users on: October 02, 2018, 08:24:45 PM
This shows that we have only a few of the entire community contributing qualitatively enough. And we should encourage the rest of the community to contribute.
and we should do our fair bit in reducing spam, like users on the mining board who closely monitor and moderate their threads.
Not true. This shows there are many quality posters who don't have enough merits. If you look at the other thread by @suchmoon, it proves the number of merits wasted on newbie accounts which were banned. These merits would have definitely helped a legit newbie rank-up.
669  Other / Meta / Re: [List] of the most weird usernames registered. on: October 02, 2018, 08:21:52 PM
I don't know what's the big deal with such user-names. They're serving the same purpose as the other usual usernames with no meaning. Let members have the freedom to take whatever user-names they like to be addressed with.
670  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE of User: pinkman12345 !!! on: October 02, 2018, 08:12:57 PM
If all the above-mentioned information is correct, sad to tell you guys that you probably are scammed by an Indian scum called Engg.Chakks. I hope this proves that the green trust shouldn't be taken seriously when it comes to money. Don't lend random people on the internet if you don't know them personally or have a long trading history with them. Both of you seem like a newbie in the lending business on bitcointalk, this was pretty much expected.
671  Other / Meta / Re: State sponsored trolls on: October 01, 2018, 09:15:11 PM
Neat, found another state sponsored site: sovereignman
Slow down there chief! While I don't have any intentions to sabotage your mission on finding the secret agents, I might just report your posts for posting sequentially in less than 24 hours a day (that is thread bumping). Gleb gets temp ban for that stuff quite often.
672  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban evasion] +200 connected accounts on: October 01, 2018, 09:06:39 PM
Jesus, you've got to wonder how much time these guys have got on their hands to be posting on 200+ accounts, unless it's a team of people then it's more understandable. The funny thing is they're all bounty spammers, spamming for projects which are likely to crash by 90% when they hit the exchanges, if they ever hit the exchanges. This means that the majority of their effort will go to waste  Grin
Unfortunately, that doesn't happen very often unless the project turns into a scam. I shit you not, some of these scums are making more than a software engineer's salary a month just by bounty whoring. I think theymos needs to create a rank just for bounty whores. They will be allowed to post only in the bounty section and no other forum privileges will be given to them.
673  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative trust on: October 01, 2018, 09:01:17 PM
Most hunters like me just enter a thread, click on reply and zoom off. We dont read other messages cos we have a lot of reports to make. I guess ignorance is not an excuse
You're not hunters, you're shit-posting bounty scum of the forum. Look yourself in the mirror every morning and say that. Should brighten your day.

No one could have said it better. The funny thing is they all come crying here when they become red tagged. So this forum for them is just to make some money (I am not saying any more pennies as bounties are becoming very lucrative each day more) by just posting whatever shit goes by their had.
I think everyone participating in the bounties should be red tagged because 90% of them are useless to the forum and their contribution to the forum is none.
674  Economy / Lending / Re: [Crypto-kiva] Capital for Micro-Businesses on: October 01, 2018, 08:55:36 PM
If you live in a developed nation, this thread probably isn't for you.

I can lend coughgamblecough around $1000 USD in whichever crypto you want. XMR for those more illicit businesses, I'd assume. ETH for those code businesses, and BTC for good ol' institutions.

What's your actual business plan? When will I see my money back? How are you solving local problem?
What's the guarantee if the business plan shared you wouldn't use it for your advantage? Will you be ready to sign a contract or some sort of legal stuff that will guarantee you wouldn't steal it? 1000 USD is comparatively a smaller amount for any legitimate business.
675  Economy / Reputation / Re: Newbie Campaign (PRIVCY) on: October 01, 2018, 08:43:37 PM
All the red flags listed here are a good reason to skip this campaign. Personally, I do not understand how many people so easily dismiss all these warnings.
Sheep mate Sheep! And if the signature campaign doesn't pay, it's the bounty manager's fault. They want everything to be spoon fed because doing their own research takes too many efforts. You see people haven't stopped applying to that campaign knowing money isn't escrowed or there is a guarantee that they will ever get paid.
676  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Planning to do my Masters Research on Blockchain (Suggestions Needed) on: October 01, 2018, 08:28:46 PM
Supply Chain Management

I think this is your best bet, as it's one of the best implementations of a blockchain.

Imagine being able to trace your steak back to the farm where it was raised, see the food it was given, see where it was killed, and if any sickness was there at the time, etc.  I believe IBM is working on this.
That is the best idea so far Vod! I was talking to my supervisor exactly about this and we can actually go ahead and see if there are existing papers on the same topic. The goal is to publish a paper which will be accepted by IEEE/IFAC organisations.

I would suggest you consider the "Identify Approval on Blockchain". The reason is that going for what Vod has suggested means that you would be researching what some other companies have gotten to the stage or deploying and not only IBM, I had read about LG planning something like that and for words to get out about it, they must have tested it and be sure its a workable solution at the minimum.

Identity verification of the other hand, seems a global problem that have not been solved yet despite the several verifications that have been put in place by various technologies that have come before now and you could be a front line that would be consulted for implementation considering the problem is being faced by both the private sector and public sectors.
As much as I would like to work on that problem, I equally hate the fact that this leads to giving up on the anonymity. The concept really has it's commercial advantages but I'm a bit against with validation inside of a free ecosystem.

Agree that supply chain management or logistics very useful applications, but am afraid there are many projects already doing this, with several PoCs already trialled. Then again, you could use this to your advantage by examining all the case studies and make good comparative analyses.

Another one states are hot and heavy for are electoral rolls, with also several trials concluded or ongoing.

Personally am most interested in accountability uses for charities, especially in the field, with growing popularity for cash-based aid. The UN has at least 7 blockchain trials (5 for supply chain/logistics).

Lots of material for you. I'm also doing something similar, ir considering, but my area is a bit less well trodden (refugee studies) so maybe identity an area for me.
Sounds great! Maybe we should keep in touch and help out each other during the research? Like peer-to-peer reviews. Smiley Message me your telegram or something if you're okay with it.

677  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and bigotry on: October 01, 2018, 08:15:11 PM
I am not offended if he speaks for my personality but if he talks about the Qur'an and Muhammad S.A.W. I am very offended.
How delusional are you to not notice that attitude is the root cause of all the problems? You are okay with people shaming you, abusing you but not okay with they questioning your beliefs? This is what brainwashing does to you. No wonder most of the terrorists have the same mentality.

As a Muslim, I was really offended when you said the Messenger of Allah was a bad person. For us, he is a good, clean and noble, so please respect us.
As a human, I feel very offended that every year thousands of innocent lives are sacrificed just because some cunts are offensive about their religion. Face it, Islam is terrorism and cancer to the society. Just look at this thread and see how many Muslims are offended just because their religion is mentioned.
678  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 26, 2018, 10:23:23 AM
You sure we won't be missing out on the members who actually have a great post quality but remain unmerited?

Are there really legendary members with great post quality who have been unable to earn a single merit? Or would be unable to earn 10 for that matter? I'm completely happy to be corrected if I'm mistaken, I just haven't seen any.
My post was intended for all the ranks in general and not just legendary. Take this member for instance: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1777865 his post quality is way better than most of the legendaries with high merits. He has received just 1 merit... This is exactly what I'm trying to address here. Having great quality posts doesn't necessarily mean you'd have high merits.
679  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 26, 2018, 10:02:42 AM
I also think the requirement for signatures should be changed to earned merit rather than total merit at some point down the line.
You sure we won't be missing out on the members who actually have a great post quality but remain unmerited? Look at the merit stats, see the sections where most of the merit goes and you'd be surprised if not disappointed. I honestly wouldn't just accept a member in a signature campaign just because they have high merits. I will still examine the post quality and see the sections they're most active in. Of course, Meta/Off-topic/Local -Boards wouldn't count.
680  Economy / Reputation / Re: Foserfox selling merit or meriting his alt accounts? on: September 26, 2018, 09:51:44 AM
The copy and pasters will be banned. I need to get round to some others though. Such a shame that admins don't bother looking into this stuff and we have to waste time painstakingly manually doing it. I'm sure this is just the tip of the shitberg and they could easily find much more going on.
Do you honestly think it's worth your time? I mean there comes a point where you realise no matter how hard to try to get shit better, it just keeps getting worse. In the case of bitcointalk, you ban 10 copy-pasters, 20 more are born again within a few minutes. Definitely, an automation is needed to combat them which is beyond the scope of admins at the moment.
