With the Jim Jones colony or with timothy leary?

Both! Currently referred to as BFL. Wait till you see the pics, of which may already be online somewhere.

This would make an excellent addition to the Bitcoin Museum.

6623  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin-otc is shit on: September 13, 2013, 12:21:08 AM
Well you're not helping at all by crying, now are you?

I am hoping if i bitch enough it will magically become a site that doesnt suck shit

The only person sucking shit right now is you, if you think the site is shit, be a smartass and make a better site yourself.  If you can't do that, doesn't that make you even more shit than Bitcoin-OTC?

Beat it cock sucker. Who asked you?

I used to post like this till I drank the Kool Aid.

Anyone game to call the dental group and ask a few questions concerning their neighbors?

Omni Dental Group
11130 Jollyville Road #1500, Austin, TX 78759 map
(512) 346-8424

Or at least ask if there's a blue light in the window. If there is, then I have a clue as to who he may be, especially if there's a sign on the door that reads, "Hello, fellow Bitcoiners!"

*bump*

Just had a Skype call with Amy and Pradeep of the Primate Education Network. Their fiscal sponsor http://trustforconservationinnovation.org/ does the donation receiving and processing for them, and handles quite a few charities. Amy and Pradeep want to try to convince their sponsor to accept bitcoins, but mostly had some questions regarding legal issues and regulatory stuff. Like, whom would any financial disputes be handled with if they start taking bitcoin, etc. The chat went well, and they'll take all the information they discussed with me to the trust. They also asked if they could get KhanAcademy to talk to their trust to answer any questions regarding issues one might run into when accepting bitcoins as a charity. I send Khanacademy an e-mail asking if they would object to being contacted.

In the mean time, I know we're all busy with voting for me in the Bicoin Foundation elections (except for Jason you backstabing bastard  Grin), but we should probably give a yes or no to some of the charities we've been questioning recently. I'll take the loud silence is no objections I guess.

A Bitcoin donation option would look great on this page: http://trustforconservationinnovation.org/donate/index.php

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDDsELTDiHQ

The highest view count on YouTube for Venmo (link above) is 12,962 and was uploaded on April 22, 2010.

The high view count is probably why Braintree purchased it for...wait for it...$26.2M USD: http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/16/payments-start-up-braintree-buys-venmo-for-26-2-million/?_r=2

Luckily, Braintree is a major brand which can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixj5-tlTeSw

Pay no attention to the view count of 7,050 (highest video view count on YT) or the Jun 10, 2010 upload date.

Bitcoin has higher view counts with some Hitler parody videos, thus concluding that Venmo's user base is not that high, and that Braintree was high on crack when they bought it.

To drive my point home, consider the following: I just sold my barn wood business to an undisclosed buyer for $3.5M USD. Now that I'm a VC, I going to invest it all in Coinabul or Dank's Magical Mystery Tour.

There we go!  Smiley

I really hope we can do something like this again.

Damn good shot, with the exception of the Wasabi Rods on Goat, Josh and Sonny.

The app links your Facebook friends and email contacts to your bank account. All data is sent over a 256-bit encrypted connection—the same encryption method used to protect classified government information—and transactions are protected by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Use Venmo on the new iPhone equipped with the fingerprint reader and you're golden.

The simple act of convincing enough friends to use the service makes it useful.

6633  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: STAFF member xDeathwing is a SCAMMER! on: September 11, 2013, 01:59:10 PM
Haha. Well kk. Wouldnt you think that it would only be fair if he paid 0.25 (1/2 of what he promised?)

I don't think that bounties are generally enforceable. In an informal bounty like this without specific language to the contrary, the bounty creator retains sole control over who receives the bounty, even if the community disagrees with him. So I don't think that xDeathwing is obligated to pay anything, though due to the confusion and small amount of money involved, he probably should pay 0.5.

I removed him as a moderator because this is all a bit shady, and his conduct in this thread leads me to believe that he is too reckless/careless to be a good moderator, not because I believe him to be guilty of scamming in this case.

Excellent response, theymos.

Wow... this looks great for the forum...  Roll Eyes

You gave me cancer sir, 98 activity 997 post, useless posts.

Excellent mod post! Seriously, excellent mod post... for SA, but not here.

You do realize that your actions reflect upon theymos, don't you? I have the utmost respect for theymos, albeit I sometimes give him a little shit. In fact, I'm on record in stating that I respect all the mods. I still do, sans one. Fathom a guess as to which one?
6635  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Kansas City Meetup - Tuesday, Sep. 10th, 5:30pm - Updated location on: September 11, 2013, 02:23:49 AM
Excellent Meetup with Goat soon to provide pics. In attendance was myself, bcp19, boozer and a friend of his with his son, Goat with his lovely wife, Josh, and Sonny. While they all ate raw fish, I enjoyed a fully cooked cow. While they all got drunk and picked on me, I had coffee and took it like the passive asshole I am.

Seriously, it was extremely enjoyable, and I will be writing up an excellent review of BFL as soon as I get back home to Illinois. The review will not be influenced by the proverbial Kool Aid or the gift Josh gave bcp19 and I: A 60 GH/s miner rated at only 20 GH/s due to some subpar component--maybe the chip(s).

I wish to thank boozer for putting this Meetup together and BFL for picking up the tab.

Not sure, but I think I've been drugged and was shipped to Cleveland, in chains in a basement, and now answering to some guy name Castro. There's three of us here. Help!
6637  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is bitcoin going to raise again? on: September 10, 2013, 10:04:05 PM
This is bullshit! It's been stuck at $125.63 for almost 2 minutes. When is it going to move again?

LOL! Thank you, Sir P.G.

It's Sire, not sir.  Grin
6638  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Kansas City Meetup - Tuesday, Sep. 10th, 5:30pm - Updated location on: September 10, 2013, 09:52:40 PM
any pics?

I want to be there so bad but i'm stuck until October. I would love to try Kansas BBQ. Always heard good thing about it.

Just walking out the door to go, I guess I can bring a camera. Don't know if we will take pics though.

IIRC, the last meetup you attended and took pics, one of the guys ended up going dark, and one of the pics your provided somebody shopped, labeling all in attendance the same nym.

BTW, if any pics of me appear on this forum with me drinking Kool Aid, I want to go on record and state that I didn't drink the five gallon bucket of it, but that it was administered via an enima. It took three guys to hold me down, maybe only two, for I believe a reach-around was in progress, but by whom I don't know because I had my eyes closed fantasizing that the plug was of a goat, making the horrible act comfortable.

I said "meh, nobody cares" when i saw China in the title.

Did you ever look in a mirror and realize nobody gives a damn about you!  In fact I am sure a lot of members have you on their ignore list.  douchebag!

No one is ignoring him yet you can be the first.  Smiley

I have ignored nearly all of his post because they are worthless.  Now he is added to my ignore list.

I just hope he finds out it was a relative of his visiting China!

Here is how worthless his posts are!
