Respectfully, OP, I have to disagree with you on this one.

Indeed, on the fifth page of the thread, after the discussion has died down for more than a month, it’s the rightest time to disagree with the OP.

My bad, I didn't even check the date of the last reply. I got caught up in my feelings because it seemed like you guys were trying to hurt JJG's feelings  Smiley, and he's one of my favorite members on the forum.  Grin Grin

By the way, since I was the one who bumped it, maybe let me have the last word, and we can wrap it up here.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to friend for financial improvement. on: October 08, 2023, 10:40:47 AM
Great suggestion, but let's not just stop at telling them to invest. We should also stress the importance of educating themselves about Bitcoin. I mean, sure, the market seems to be gearing up for a bullish ride, but there are no guarantees in this game. What if things go the other way? What if their investment tanks and drops to 50% of its original value? Are they mature enough to understand that it's part of the game and not freak out?
703  Other / Meta / Re: Request: Disable JayJuanGee in the Wall Observer thread on: October 08, 2023, 09:53:06 AM
Respectfully, OP, I have to disagree with you on this one. That thread's been around even before the merit system got introduced. And if you're concerned about people using merit farming to snag a spot in a signature campaign, well, I think it's up to the campaign manager to figure out if someone truly deserves it.

Now, I don't have a ton of merits either, so sometimes when I apply for a campaign, I get that feeling that users with loads of merits are getting the nod. But I don't let it bother me, really. I just keep posting on the boards I love without any expectations of merits. If they come, they come.

The whole idea behind merit farming is to rank up or earn more merits to look appealing to campaign managers. But if you take a closer look, we don't even have to spend time investigating which accounts are legit because the moment they join a campaign, their post quality tends to shoot up. So, personally, I trust the judgment of those campaign managers – they're popular for a reason around here.

Lastly, I don't think Theymos would be on board with disabling that thread either. It's one of the biggest threads around, and we all love to gather there when the bull run hits.
704  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Sportsbook to handle large bets? on: October 08, 2023, 04:32:19 AM
@OP are you a professional bettor? This is an amazing amount of money. Or are you a rich person that does it for fun.

Don't even bother trying to figure out if he's loaded or not. The thing is, when a gambling site starts limiting someone, it's a clear sign that they're throwing down some serious cash. They're probably sweating bullets about going bankrupt. But hey, if you want my two cents, I'd say he's probably pretty well-off.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: October 08, 2023, 04:18:09 AM
Dream as big as you want, mate, because Bitcoin could make it happen. I'm speaking from experience here – I've actually built my own house with my Bitcoin earnings. Not for my parents, though, it's my own personal crib. Maybe down the road, I'll be able to hook them up too.

But the key is to never stop chasing your dreams because with Bitcoin, anything's possible. Some folks even predict that Bitcoin could skyrocket big time in the future. Just hold onto that idea and make sure to craft a solid game plan to make your dreams a reality.
706  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX founder projects $750,000 to $1 million #Bitcoin price by 2026 on: October 07, 2023, 11:40:41 PM
The way he describes the trouble that the US government is in with all these spending deficits it makes it scary to think what might happen in the near future for the US bonds. But he basically thinks there will be a recession, then money printing and then bitcoin will rally.

So, basically, for Bitcoin to really shoot up, we're talking about some bad mojo hitting a major country's economy. It's like folks shifting their cash over to dodge that whole recession deal. And you know what's wild? Bitcoin's shown time and again it can hold its own even when big-shot countries are stumbling. It's like this crypto safe haven, right?

But the big question is, how likely is that recession scenario to go down?

i contacted rollbit and a few others and they claim the provider increases them as they wish and theyre legit $200 for NCAAF lol

Seriously, they only limit your bet to $200? If that's true, it doesn't sound like the place for high rollers. Maybe you should consider trying out other sportsbooks. I've used sportsbet.io for a single bet of $1,000, and I had no issues withdrawing my winnings. Give it a shot, mate.
It's really funny to hear that a casino can actually limit a user's playing amount to 200$ because I have not experienced such a case before and, believe me, I have surfed gambling websites. Well, I think I support the decision of him taking the bold step of having a try at another casino, because there are lots of casinos out there that can fully support your stake of even up to 2k or even 3k dollars for a single stake on their website. Another thought of this is that the casinos are actually scared of users using high bankrolls, which reduces the risk of involvement in placing a bet .

You know, it really says a lot about their rep when they can't handle bets that aren't massive. It makes you wonder if they've got the long-term game plan or if their bankroll can handle the winners. In my humble opinion, capping users at less than $200 per stake doesn't sit right for a site as known as theirs, both in our forum and probably beyond. But hey, like I said, only if that's actually the case.

Artificial intelligence is becoming things more easier these days so we don't have to do vigorous work before we get things done.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. From the perspective of gambling operators, maybe AI could be useful, but for us gamblers, I don't think it's as easy as relying on AI to win. I mean, in my opinion, there's no way AI will disrupt the gambling industry. It can provide information, sure, but that information alone isn't enough to guarantee a win. We still have to do the analysis ourselves to make a confident bet. I'm mainly thinking about games like sports betting where AI is often involved.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 07, 2023, 05:54:09 AM
I think it’s better for a beginner to start playing Texas Hold'em, since it’s one of the most popular versions of poker. Play for free to gain experience in poker. There are many applications for this. If you want to gain more skills and improve your game, then communicate with other players, share experiences and strategies with them.

Wow, you nailed it. That was my game when I was learning poker, and it's quite fun because you don't need to risk money to learn. Personally, I'm not a poker player, but I'm inspired by people who make a living with poker; they become experts in the game. I mention this because I have a relative who is a poker player and currently earns the majority of his income from poker winnings. Although it's quite different since he plays in a physical casino, it's still inspiring.
711  Economy / Gambling / Re: make some developments related gambling on: October 05, 2023, 03:40:02 PM

With regards to regulation, I think each country keeps on developing and creating rules that can prevent their constituents from falling into gambling addiction, and how they can enhance their taxation effectivity to the gambling industry.

You know, it's always about the money when it comes to regulations. For me, the main goal isn't really to prevent addiction or reduce the rate; it's all about how the government can squeeze some cash out of those gambling operators and keep tabs on the info gamblers share with them. Sure, they promise to protect gamblers, but in an industry with little or no regulation, scams are bound to go through the roof.

As a gambler, we're pretty much stuck following the rules, right? Regulations only really benefit us if the government is serious about enforcing them. It's not just about having rules on paper; they need to walk the talk and make sure it's actually happening in practice.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 04, 2023, 05:55:14 AM
The answer to this is very simple: practice proper bankroll management.

Yes, there's a bankroll in gambling. At the very least, set a decent bankroll so you'll stay realistic all the time. For experts, they don't go all in because they understand that losing and winning are part of gambling. What they are trying to achieve is winning with consistency, which means you need to reach a certain minimum winning percentage to be profitable. For sports bettors, sometimes they set 2% to 5% of their total bankroll for their wagers. That way, they would last longer and remain disciplined throughout the gambling journey. I say 'journey' because this is a long-term approach.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting paid on gambling accounts on: October 03, 2023, 05:15:11 AM
Learn from your mistake; that's all I can say.

Some gambling campaigns credit payments directly to their platform, making it easier and safer for them. They don't need to send funds to the campaign manager, which is safer on their side. However, forget about the process; the main problem is your lack of discipline. You seem too optimistic that you can grow your money by a certain percentage, thinking that you can withdraw afterwards. That's quite unrealistic, as it seems like you don't understand the risks of gambling at all.

But, as I said, learn from your mistake.

Thanks for bringing up the web3 conversation, OP. It's a good topic, parang nagdi-discuss lang tayo ng bitcoin during the early stage. I see na meron ding mga investment opportunities dito kasi pag sumikat ang web3, which is the next daw, may mga applications na rin na gumagamit ng web3.

Siguro, mas kailangan pa natin ng mas maraming impormasyon para mas lalong makita ang potential nito.

By the way, sino kaya ang pwedeng mag-explain ng kaibahan ng web3 gambling site vs. the traditional?

717  Economy / Gambling / Re: - UGA - a Gamblers Union on: September 29, 2023, 05:49:42 AM
Am I understanding this right? When a gambler is losing, you want someone to be on the line, like the customer service representatives, and be there to "comfort" you during the time of loss. Is that right?

It's not necessary anymore; the fact that we gamble means we understand that we might lose. Engaging in that kind of behavior is akin to admitting defeat and behaving like a sore loser. Responsible gamblers understand how to manage their emotions. Instead of feeling sad, they view losses as opportunities to learn from their mistakes and continually improve themselves.

So, it's not something for me or for those matured gamblers out there, as we handle our losses without complaint. Smiley

719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 24, 2023, 12:12:48 PM
Well, I have to agree that bitcoin can give poor people some opportunities to earn but at some point, it can also make them poorer and become homeless in the end. That’s the reason why most of the poor people are afraid to take the risk in bitcoin because if they can’t do their investment or trading the right and secure way, they will end up losing all the little money they got. However, there are still who chose not to be fearful and are brave enough to take the risk, luckily some of them have gained success and are now living their lives to the fullest.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: September 24, 2023, 11:22:44 AM

Best to focus on your own knowledge both with sports and any game of luck casino games, instead of using an app or participating with paid groups that don't have any assurance to deliver a win.

Focus on sports, yes, but say no to games of luck because they will never give us a good chance of winning. That's why they're called games of luck, as the house edge will always win, not every day, but in the long run. Since we as gamblers don't stop when we are winning or losing, the end result will always be us losing. So, just treat games of luck as a fun activity, while games of skill as a job. They should be treated differently.
