721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 30, 2023, 06:17:51 PM
I pretty much believe that he can beat this opponent just like what he had said because looking at their record, this Nghitumbwa is not much of a threat and it will be an advantage to Casimero to make a statement again that he's coming for the champions. Hopefully this will materialize though because he badly needed some fights to climb the ladder.
Just like other great boxers, they need a tune-up fight before a big fight. Although it's not guaranteed that Casimero will have a big fight after this, at least this will keep him busy and active this year. Who knows, a big fight may be waiting for him, and therefore he needs to have an impressive win.

In his previous fight, we saw a dominant Casimero despite his opponent acting like he was Oscar-worthy. Later on, he admitted that Casimero had really beaten him.

Anyway, good luck to Casimero. Although we might think it's an easy fight for him, hopefully, we will still see an entertaining fight.

Yes, in-short, Casimero indeed got this fight and he's ready to make a comeback in this new division he's in. Just a few small time fight to get himself a big fight, he can't do anything about it but to trust the process because he is now fighting to lift his position among the standings. Who knows, he might get himself a big fight next year as long as he will stay active and will get a 2nd fight before this year ends because that will indeed help his campaign.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 30, 2023, 04:54:38 PM
And with that, if the Mayweather-McGregor fight was big that time, maybe this fight could be comparable at least in terms of PPV numbers. Even Oscar was hype about this and he said that it could break PPV records. But we all know that it's coming from him as he promotes Ryan Garcia.

I think it was indeed big at that time because if it's not, the fight won't be on the history of one of the biggest PPV buys and in-terms of generated revenue. Although a fight like that is not unusual anymore but both parties managed to market that fight well and they got a press conference tour which helps them sell their fight.

Anyway, regarding this fight that it would break PPV records, that's quite a bit too much to ask, IMO. The biggest fight so far that had the most PPV buys was the fight that dubbed as "The Fight of the Century" and that was the fight of Mayweather vs Pacquiao which garnered a total of 4.6 Million PPV buys.

723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 30, 2023, 02:24:30 PM
It's funny reading about Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverly talking smack to each other about how they were going to "bust" each other's "ass" on the floor.  This is quite a change from a couple of months ago when they were teammates talking about all the great things they've done for each other and how great of friends they are...  Time reveals all.  Luckily for Westbrook, his new Clippers were able to beat the Bulls where his former team just lost to them.  That has to make him feel a little better after his time in LA.  Russell Westbrook has had some great games lately, so it's looking like his career might not be quite finished yet.

I think that trade has benefited both sides in one way or another. The Lakers started to perform better without Westbrook and even improved their place in the standings. At the same time, Westbrook got less criticism now, but it looks like he has not had other significant changes because he has about the same stats as he had with the Lakers. So Westbrook's future career in the NBA might still be questionable because there are doubts as to whether the Clippers or any other team will offer him a new contract during the offseason or not.

But I'd better put Westbrook along with the Clippers because he's much safer there from criticisms and all the blaming game, and just look at him now, he's much better and less stress in his present though even though he's getting the same stats like he had with the Lakers before the trade happened. What I mean is even though he's not the same before, he is still warranted and deserve from respect and what he received lately was the opposite.

Anyway, we saw a different Westbrook earlier as the Clippers halted the Grizzlies 12th consecutive win-streak at home. The Clippers destroyed the Grizz by raining threes downtown and the latter can't do a thing but to watch the opposing team dominating the game. It was a great game though.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 29, 2023, 07:03:09 PM
I've gotta say it...  The Suns are unleashing Kevin Durant tonight and the Minnesota Timberwolves have been getting over injuries and trying to get back into the swing of things.  I suspect that the Suns are going to try and send a message for Durant's home debut and given the Timberwolves health struggles lately, I think this should be a good win for the Suns.  Phoenix is also finding themselves much closer to the play-in tournament than they'd like to be I'm sure, so a win here will give them a little more space and show what this team is capable of with a healthy Durant.  For that reason, I wouldn't be mad at anyone throwing a few bucks on the Suns tonight.

No guarantees yet about Durant's return but the latest tip-off revealed that he is upgraded to probable, so I guess he will indeed play tonight and then there's Ayton who is also back on the hardwood. This will be a good advantage for the team that they shouldn't let slide especially after the fact that a lot of of players of Wolves are questionable/probable including Karl Anthony-Towns and Anthony Edwards. Things are getting interesting as the season is approaching to its end.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 28, 2023, 05:14:43 PM
<==== lots of fight has been delayed because of his selfishness.

I agree with this. In fact, I believe that he already made some drama, which was the reason why his fight with Pacman before was cancelled. Because if he had gone through a serious operation, he should not have fought Ugas after Ugas won the championship against Pacman. Now that he is back with a big win, Crawford challenges him, but nothing has happened. Maybe Spence knows his limitations and that he cannot win against Crawford, which is why he is making up excuses just to avoid him.

People have been anticipating about that fight because Spence himself said after he won against Ugas that he is coming for the remaining belt which is in Crawford's possession. Fans were happy that time because they thought that it's indeed happening but in reality, Spence's camp have no plan at all and worst is, they let Crawford waste some time for going back and forth with the hopes that the unification fight will really materialize.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 28, 2023, 02:13:48 PM
And let's say that both Moloney and Donaire will win on their respective campaigns to be a champion. Fate will make their paths cross again and I think that's inevitable considering that they are both champions in the same weight class.

If Donaire wins against Santiago and got the WBC bantamweight title, and Moloney wins the other title, unless there is a chance of unifying all belts, I do not think Moloney will dare to challenge Donaire for their title unification.  Moloney had already chickened out, unless 2 or 3 years had passed, he will not dare to challenge Donaire.  I agree that Moloney is just waiting for Donaire to become old, before fighting him.  I bet Moloney had learned this strategy from Mayweather.  Waiting for their opponent to be out of their prime age or being too old before fighting them.

So how long he would be waiting it out before he would consider about having that unification? There's no way if things turns out to be mandatory if ever he would be able to get that title.
It is indeed that Moloney had already chickened out and there's no way that he would be pushing on going against with Donaire again but speaking about age then i dont think that
Nonito would really be retiring anytime soon basing up on his body condition which he could still pull up some trigger and could still face off strong boxers despite even
if he's out of his prime.

There are still a lot of time for both sides before a mandatory fight between them will happen, given that both of them are already a champion for the respective belts they are chasing. And if that time will come, I think Donaire will not be around anymore because he is already 40 years old now and I think that bout will be at least 2 years from now.

I agree with @serjent05, the fact that Moloney already ducked Donaire is already enough for us to believe that a fight between them will not happen much sooner. Moloney is wise enough not to engage with a fight against Donaire because he knew his chances are not that strong, so it will be a waiting game again.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 28, 2023, 09:30:19 AM
What do you guys think of this fight?
It looks like Casimero is still confident against boxer Nghitumbwa, I'm a little curious about what Casimero said. Nghitumbwa is an easy opponent to beat, I think Casimero's words are too exaggerated and a little arrogant with his betting skills, but in my opinion Nghitumbwa is not a boxer who can be taken lightly as Casimero said.

Indeed, boxer Casimero can be said to be a boxer who has many fans in boxing and he often fights against boxers who are taller than him, but I think fighting Nghitumbwa could be different later, I'm pretty sure the Casimero vs. Nghitumbwa can be won by Nghitumbwa, I'm sure it will happen next May.

Casimero has been like that ever since he step foot in the international ring and even he fought locally, it's not like that we're still not used to his antics if that's what you mean. He always tends to brag, arrogant and exaggerate somethings but that is his usual self as he like to distract his opponents gameplan and mess them in the head, but he can always back his words with action and that is what makes people like him.

728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 28, 2023, 09:10:49 AM
It’s starting to look like the Dallas Mavericks are going to miss the playoffs and even the play-in tournament as a result of their Kyrie Irving trade. Luka can’t be happy. They fell out of the play-in for now and couldn’t capitalize on a Lakers loss. Dallas is 3-7 now in their last 10 games during a time they should be turning it on.

Yes, their path towards the playoffs is starting to get really ugly and now they are down their last 7 challenging games because they are going to face quite a lot of good teams on those remaining games. Even if they figure out their way throughout the Pacers later which most of the key players are out and probable, they will still have to get those 6 games correct because they got no rooms for mistakes now. Just one last defeat and that will mean see you next season.
The stats of Irving are already falling and they are not yet in the playoffs. Kyrie is in the opposite direction in the remaining extremely crucial matches, in which star players that are paid big must perform big. The two consecutive defeats at the hands of Charlotte Hornets, a weak team are unacceptable.

The Dallas Mavericks will then play four away matches, and their season will end if they lose more than half of those matches. After Dallas Mavericks lost to a weaker team in its previous matches, Indiana Pacers is not even a sure thing to win here. Additionally, the Indiana Pacers stand a chance of participating in the play in, they will not play soft.

They are playing soft at the moment and guess they made a wrong decision for trading Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith this is solid guy which give them a solid performance also can blend well with Luka. But now Mavs performance is declining and to bad for them because frustration starting to build up due to losses they get for past couple of games they played. Its hard to win when they are in bad shape at this point maybe for that we can see Dallas fall in bad spot.

They don't have much choice for that trade because the Mavs management were really looking forward to acquire Irving and we know that the Nets won't agree with the trade if the players in-exchange were not that good. That was a pure gambling made by the management just to get Irving to their roster in the hopes that their future will be much brighter because they are giving Luka a duo, which is good though. But what happened to them these days are quite unexpected but it is what it is, they should just deal with the card they have now.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I still believe I am on the right path on: March 28, 2023, 02:07:00 AM
After Satoshi, the real MVPs are those that bought it at early stage of its development and hodl to the time it was in the tens of thousands. Imagine having bitcoin at $12 in 2012 and watch it grow beyond hundred dollars to Thousands many of the current will have sold almost everything and left off.
There isn’t any late hours to bitcoin because just like in the past no one will is certain of the how far it will grow in price. Just buy during its deep and be patient to hodl for long.
And it could be that we will be the future MVPs if we will start trusting bitcoin now and control ourselves not to fall from FUDs or any factors that would convince us to sell. We just have to establish our faith and let bitcoin do the rest. True, there’s no late in bitcoin, but those who keep on missing the opportunities will probably regret in the future and just wish that they never doubted bitcoin in the first place.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 28, 2023, 01:24:59 AM
I understand your feeling and it's good since you might be careful, sensitive and know the value of Bitcoin as an asset. Well, this shouldn't still stop you from spending your coin as it's not only about investment. Just be sure that you have a sizable amount still left in your wallet for the investment, you should not deprive yourself of good things in life because of it.

That said, you need to be patient and speculative, this is by knowing when Bitcoin is on the beraish trend. Spending it at that time will never be an issue, you can as well replenish back your coin when it's becoming bullish again.
Let’s not forget that bitcoin is design to be a currency, and not just a sole investment. But because hodling bitcoin is still risky and requires more our patience and determination, maybe spending it could mean a little bad on ourselves but if we only spend those bitcoin for the realization of our dreams, I guess there’s nothing to regret on spending our bitcoin. We just have to wait for another perfect market entry and just buy back again and hold. At least, we never spend at a loss, but certainly on our utmost benefits.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 27, 2023, 10:59:02 PM
CBDC is legal tender (once it will be emitted)... so for sure ... casino will accept it! it's also their interest and probably it will become one day the only form of payment in a casino.
The only chance to see not accepter is a scenario with casino/betting illegal/banned.
But I think this is something impossible for the next decades Smiley

Yes, CBDC has its higher chances to be accepted as a legal tender in the casino but I don’t see its happening soon as cryptocurrencies are still much in demand than using CBDC. However, this is really possible as CBDC is a legal form of currency and is always backed by a central bank, so definitely if the government will make a rule to make CBDC as the only currency that will be accepted in casinos, then we as gamblers should always abide with it and consider cryptocurrencies as no place in gambling.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 27, 2023, 10:34:57 PM
Deciding whether gambling is right or wrong for them is subjective. For non-believer to their religion will find this news as normal event because the Pastor is living on Uganda which we all know that is very hard to earn money but this is different if you are the one with same religion with them because Pastors are role model for holiness in their religion.

I will never blame the Pastor on doing gambling to earn more for his own future. Probably his earnings through his ministry is not sufficient for his daily needs especially if he has a family to feed.
Even if we say gambling for religious leaders is unethical, but it does not mean that they cannot gamble at all. At the end of the day, it’s always their choice to gamble or not. However, based on the Pastor’s story, he decided to gamble and when he won huge amount, he shut down his ministry which for me is reasonable too since he’s not a real pastor in profession. He only did that to survive and use the money to raise his family.
733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be greedy – a short goose story on: March 27, 2023, 09:44:31 PM
Though it is an old story, it is always relevant. I first heard and read this story as a child. Greed is bad for everything, not just crypto. It also destroys the soul and life. I've written similar things about scams many times. Only when we are greedy will we be deceived. The majority of hacking incidents are caused by greed. As a result, we must be realistic. To earn cryptocurrency, you should take a straightforward approach. This really isn't a shortcut.
Greed never brings out the best in us, but certainly the worst. Once we are influenced with greed, we mostly end up with negative feelings like envy, depression, which lead us into losses and pains, and that are destroying our mind and soul eventually. That’s why if we can live life righteously, without the presence of greed, we can always avoid these negativity in life that will not bring any good for us in the long run.
734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: March 26, 2023, 10:53:08 PM
Sorry to raise this topic over here, it was too heavy for me to answer all alone so I decided to share here to see some reasonable answer from those that have been in such situations. An hour ago, I went out with a friend of mine and it happens to be a drinking hall (beer parlor) where he got drunk and as well trading.
The question is, can you trade while you are already drunk?
I was asked this question because I have never been in that mood before being drunk while trading and those who have been in that condition what was your actions and reaction while trading because I noticed something very hard for someone to be drunk and as well trade, do you make profits or keep losing maybe do you close your trade after being drunk.

I have reason where this topic should be posted but if any of you think this topic is not at the right place then suggest me the proper place where I can moved it to I will be very grateful.

The floor is always open for more discussions.
I have never experienced trading while you are badly influenced by an alcohol. For me, that is a very risky thing to do and it’s like you are pushing your trade to lose than to make some gains. Well, it might work for others but definitely not for me. I know that trading is hard and difficult, and one needs to be more focused and need to make good analysis on the market, which means you cannot do it unless you are in your best mood to trade or you have the right mindset to trade.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: March 26, 2023, 09:53:52 PM
People actually claim to be strong holders that can go against any situation wanting them to sell off some of their bitcoins. The strongest of holders do not just sell at the slightest economic discomfort I know, but I believe everybody has a threshold at which if the pressure surpasses them, they would break into the decision of selling some of their bitcoins to sort the present condition. What kind of situation do you think is enough to pressure you in seeling some of the bitcoins you have been holding. Is family or health challenge enough reason to?
I guess seeing our family suffering from any health condition is already enough to consider selling some of our coins. Our investment will seem useless if it cannot help our loved ones in the first place. After all, I decided to invest not just to help myself, but also to give help and comfort to my family, and if I fail on that, it’s like I lost the purpose why I have done investing in the first place. So for me, I won’t never doubt selling my coins as long as it can guarantee the healing of my family from its worst health condition.
736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 25, 2023, 10:49:50 PM
Thinking about how trading strategies need to always be changed and how one strategy may not work for a long time, what do you do with the strategy that you are about to change. do you just forget about it completely once a new strategy starts working for you? or do you keep it in remembrance for the future. If you have experienced this before; has any old trading strategy that you decided to apply work for you? Is it possible that old strategies may work in the future again?
They still might be working but are less effective. They'll somehow become obsolete due to the change in market behavior which is why we also have to do some upgrades and discover new strategies to fit the current situation, otherwise, it was hard to make a profit. Meanwhile, we can still use some of those old strategies but not really often. I'd say it was less effective due to the fact that we can't rely on them as we need to look for other strategies that would really work efficiently.
They will be less effective if we fail to upgrade them and update to their latest version. That is to fit in with how the market behaves currently. However, if those strategies have made you consistently losing from trading, I think there’s something wrong with your strategies or there’s something wrong with how you trade, maybe you fail to make a good analysis on the market. Whatever it is, you should always check your strategy if it’s still working, otherwise you have yo create and develop new strategy that will suit the market’s current behavior or condition.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game do you think is a Game of Chance or a Game of Skill? on: March 24, 2023, 08:07:58 PM
Poker and Blackjack are pure skill&luck games while slots and dice can be considered as only luck-based games. A gambler shouldn't even think about how to beat the house edge on dice but his chances are higher on the Blakcjack or Poker due to the lower house edge compared to provably fair games. Skills are more critical in sports but the luck factor shouldn't be ignored, that is why call it gambling.
As long as it’s considered gambling, luck should always be the most vital factor. Although Blackjack and poker are mostly win with skilled players, but you can’t just ignore the fact that these players got the luck at the same time. Just like in trading, you can’t just do it with skills alone, you also need some luck to make the market favor on you. Although you can always lessen the risk and win your trades if you are knowledgeable and skilled in trading.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 24, 2023, 07:43:43 PM
It could be, who knows. They will eventually cheat if there are opportunities to cheat. However, with reputable casinos, I don’t think cheating is more possible since they have this provably fair system so that there will be more transparency in each game. And if there are cases of cheating, players are always free to voice them out. But with illegal operating casinos like those in gray areas, cheating will always be possible and is even hard to stop it.
739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of failure and success can help us control the emotions. on: March 24, 2023, 07:08:05 PM
In trading the number one enemy is our self emotions, many trader loss because they can't control thier emotions and it really affects thier decision making and sometimes it will become a reason for the big loss, in crypto we cannot be free from different emotions because everytime market condition is changing and it is really a high volatility market, i think experienced had a very big role on decision making, is this a reason why most of the newbie loss is it because they don't have enough of experience?
Having no experience in trading is certainly a disadvantage for trader as he will only waste his time and money and still end up losing everything. That’s why newbies should always make the most in gaining knowledge and experience at first as it will help them to control their emotions when they are already in real trading. Not just for newbies alone but also for those traders who have been trading for long, if they have no enough experiences in trading, they will surely find it hard to control their emotions and become successful in trading.
740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's not safe to be a crypto influencer on: March 24, 2023, 06:38:28 PM
diversity is good but lessening the risk by picking the top coins that have proven their worth in the market for many years and checking signs if the project is going down, you should know when the boat is about to sink so you cut your losses.
Top coins price are only following Bitcoin price, except it's a stable coin. So what's the reason to diversify if all the coins follow Bitcoin price? it's same if you just invest in Bitcoin. Diversify only work if you choose to invest in other commodities where it doesn't have any relation with Bitcoin e.g. gold, real estate, stock etc.

As long as you're not a trader, I don't see any reason you need to cut your losses.
You only need to diversify if you think you are investing in less potential coins but if you’re with bitcoin, everyone knows that it dominates the whole crypto market so no need to diversify but at least invest in bitcoin with an amount you can afford to lose. You can only diversify if you are also thinking to invest in other assets like gold, stocks, bonds or real estate, as that will bring additional profits if these investments paid off.
