Cgminer v4.3.5-scrypt.2
https://github.com/dmaxl/cgminer/releases

^^^^^^
try that instead it came out last year other wise no idea

why wouldn't BFG work ? . just wondering most of the issues is using the wrong drivers.

These are for BFG and windows
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

BFG uses different drivers then CGMINER did or does use .

uninstall the CGMINER drivers First if you try bfg again in the device manager then install the drivers BFG uses .

Other wise can't say, did you consider buying a A4 http://www.innosilicon.com/ which I'm guessing might cost to much or this is a hobby Smiley .

The A4's are real and innosilicon is the only company right now that makes Script miners.

I know it says a 100 buy but you can get in a group buy on the forums which in most cases is only the cost of the miner/s free shipping some times and discount because it is group buy .

PS keep looking for A2 110 deals now that the A4 that replaced the A2 110 is starting to sell  the A2's are dropping in price now you can buy a A4 136 MH for what some are still tiring to sell A2 110 for so be care full some folks are evil .

787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie problem with Gridseed G-Blade on: December 25, 2016, 09:54:15 AM
I would use BFG if i was you it works better and is a lot easier to set up and try this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0 and spend like maybe 40 bucks for a Raspberry PI kit and you have a controller that will run it all or all most any thing  for a while and use a lot less power then a windows box.

for BFG you may need these drivers for windows not all ways but you may .
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

 CGMiner Drivers
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/zadig/

Try not to mix those drivers on a windows box it might brick the windows install and you have to reinstall windows .

Don't try CGMINER 4.10, it won't work because cgminer no longer supports Script miners and hasn't for a year or two that's about how old the CGMINER 3.7.2  is, while BFG https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877081.0 always has and still does.

CGMINER 4.10 is what you get now if you compile you own software miners, if you see it only posted at 3.9.2
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 25, 2016, 09:10:49 AM
I have antminer S9 , the BMminer version 1.0.0 ..

I want do this rule : when Temperature greater than or equal 67 C stop miner . I try do it in rules tab and I edit (Device temperature ) , in actions tab I add Miner command (stop miner ) . but nothing happened when Temp exceed 67 C and greater ,the antminer still work .How can do this action ?
Can you try to add another action to the same rule? For example to show a Notification as well. By doing that we can figure out if the rule is triggered or not.
Is the Antminer running in Privileged API mode?

I do another action (notification) it work good but stop miner not work .. see the picture : http://imgur.com/aMX5ddf
I don't know what (Privileged API mode) mean and how can I do that  ?

antminers can i can't say how i refuse to buy any thing above a S5 that was my last antminer ill ever own about then bitmian became total ass holes and that means Full API access: Privileged API mode, i believe to turn that on in AWESOME miner and control it with awesome you need either  PRO or the Premium version of awesome but you can with any antminer with any version of awesome, i believe but then it has to been done at the miner level but if you know how you can at the miner level and with SIDEHACK about to come out with bitfury chip miner upgrade kits for the old S1 to S5 heat sinks which i have a lot of laying around , i won't ever have a need for bitmain miners, again .

Look at ANTMINER API ACCESS in the option menu of awesome, that does it for S7 and up . S5 have it on by default . I use Avalon 6 and turn it on with CGMiner with a command line in minera then network watch it thu awesome.

CHRISTMAS and hope your NEW YEAR IS GREAT

top.

Same to you all! No pressure as well, but I hope the BF16s and such are out before March. Happy Christmas and new year and good luck mining!! Btw, what do you mean by censored?

They move my posts and didn't for two years, to me that's a form of being censored, I mean come on it's Holiday cheer why should it matter were it is, it's only 2 times a year once at Thanks Given then at Christmas.

I could see it if it was some thing else , but that's me and asking why is a no no to them.

well any way i know side doesn't care !!! ..

MARRY CHRISTMAS again ,

top

791  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Avalon 6 Miner - Winter Mining - Notlist3d - Also FAQ and Help on: December 23, 2016, 08:33:42 PM
thought id come and say how things are going after i bought a new used controller off side hack .

I replaced the fan with this one http:// www.ebay.com/itm/252579063556?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT that made it pick up in speed , it runs cooler, the wires don't get hot so far at the PSU like they were with the other fan and it run way way quieter and @ around avg 3.5 th now like it should it was actually the factory fan that was holding it back . I did try it with a 2 k PSU and optimism Break out board and it still only hashed at 3.1  0r lower with the old fan.

downside Avalon openWrt software miner will not run it unless i use the factory fan which is not a downside for me i never used it any way or liked using it and I also use the Nice hash forked version of CGMiner with minera on a banana PI , it seems to run it better .

Last thought the only bad thing about any of the 3 th or higher miners that are not 14/16 nm chips is the power usage it seems.

can't wait for side to start selling his upgrades for the S1 to S5,  IVE been reading about, i will be getting a few upgrade kits . Ive got my heat sinks waiting .

Thanks top .

wow that is nice of them to let you use there jig those thing can cost a ton ...then return it i wonder how long that will happen till some low life mess up that trust for a few bucks .

That a lone makes me want a A4 more every day even if it just the 136 MH version which I plan to buy next year .
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How long have your rigs run without resetting? on: December 23, 2016, 01:50:48 AM
Actually you can turn off updates in windows 10 just gonna know how to and were  Smiley . i do it all the time when i do a clean install with a unattend.xml setup file and  install with WinPE using a USB  32 GB SSD  drive, it's faster then using the setup.exe and i edit my install.wim after i convert it from ESD  Smiley then customize the install on a VM and test it so no issue for me on windows 10 at all and the new AMD drivers that have driver signing I patched to use with a modded bios seem to have stopped random crashes i was getting when i switched from ZEC to ETH mining without first either a shut down  or reboot on 5 GPU rig I still reboot/shutdown to be safe but those drivers for me any way seemed to fix it .
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining 120 vs 240 Volts on a 7 GPU RX 470 Rig on: December 23, 2016, 01:33:27 AM
I used to run miners on a 110 line till i had a new main box put in about two years ago for 800 bucks with 34 slots which has about 7 slots left open if i ever decide to go all out in a year which is the plan with a 220 line that cost another 45 bucks on top of the 800 on a 200 amp service that was the best thing i ever did. so in my case, it was so I could use what I have better and safer the box i replaced was old and needed to be replaced so also in my case it was worth it.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trouble flashing MSI reference rx 480 to XFX reference rx 480 on: December 23, 2016, 01:15:09 AM
I flashed my nitro by mistake  to a XFX rx 470 and it worked but i flashed it back didn't feel like dealing with issue that might come up later on and all so didn't see why i would need to.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New stratum/getwork proxy with Web-based GUI and pools management on: December 23, 2016, 12:37:20 AM
nice hash has a guide for how to use this with windows , i have used it on a windows PC using  on other pools not just nice hash using there guide.

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=asic

I use it on PI type PC's not just with RPI either, i wish it worked with ZEC and ETH mining that would be great but it looks like the DEV Has no plans to go beyond whats done now and others have offered to pay to have more done i guess he lost interest or doesn't deal with btc any more mining or may be even no time even if the price is right.

and WeightedRoundRobin works great once you know or understand how to use it, I wish more was done with this or i had the skill to add more, i would and ask for nothing in return but that's allwys the case those want to, can't and those that can, won't .

thanks top
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gateless Gate: zawawa's open-source cross-platform OpenCL Zcash miner on: December 23, 2016, 12:24:31 AM
I don't get why they hate AMD so much, I don't hate NV, in fact if NV was cheaper i would buy them but that's not why i buy AMD because of price, I like AMD products more I all ways have but price is why i don't buy NV not hate .  I was reading this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1677369.0 it was temping to commit on but i left it a lone .

well anyway not to get off topic.

I"m watching this thread and keeping a close eye on it to see whats done with AMD Cards and free software, i plan to donate, if I use it .

Look here or ask here https://forum.z.cash/t/anoraks-vbios-collection-optimized-settings-for-performance-power-saving/8347 for zec Mining modded bios .

you can get some real good help here with no Issues.  id offer some help but my bios is custom, i did it my self for a power color red dragon 480 4gb and don't like offer to do it for anyone for  reason beyond my control that card was a bitch to get just right .
I even bricked it a few times trying different bios setting.

RX 480 8G doing 265-270 sol , stock miner settings, 1165 core, 2000 mem
380 4G doing 170 sol, 1075/1500
290 310 sol, 1000/1250.

Ubuntu 14.04

nice job Claymore

Greetings

How did u get this hashes on 480???265-270! omg... did u use reference one?

me to considering the drivers Claymore says use don't support 480 ? . if he using mixed cards thats got to be hard and take lot of time to set up right.

I'll stay with windows because end the end they all about the same .
With Linux you'll need Tahiti, R9 280 or better cards, for easier setup with the RX series, weird though that they choose to leave the 78xx/ 79xx of Tahiti's out though.

SO the drivers work with the R9 280 non X version that work with the RX 400 series now ?. and your right it depends on what card you are trying to use . Smiley.

I haven't tired  the new amdgpupro drivers yet or looked at what they support with 16.5 some thing or some thing like that.

I'll check .

thanks top .
